Guys I want angry starscream please I'm begging. I want him calculating every move he does. I want Megatron keeping him by his side because he's frightened on just how much worse starscream will become if he isn't tied down. I wanted a respected starscream because while Megatron can bash your head in star Will easily rip everything from you so he can just watch as you do it yourself. I want a starscream that confronts the others and holds his wings high. I want him to always make it aware he's the second in command for a reason. I want him to have a upper hand on Megatron as well. I want him seeking blood for his fallen fleets. I want him to be ready to carve Vos back up againfrom, the ground up. I want him to remind all the other deceptions he earned his place. I need to him to randomly show Soundwave and Shockwave just why he was and always will be second in command. I adore sympathetic Starscream but please let this man prove he's strong my mental health relys on it.

a little more serious answer: they can tell something is going on with optimus and they desperately want to pretend it's not. they don't want to know how he's aware of things he shouldn't be, how he knows stuff that should have long been forgotten, how he seems to be more familiar with them than he should be. how sometimes he speaks and it's like the dead are talking through him. how sometimes he will answer to empty air and somehow they can just tell what he's responding to. who he is talking to.

they Know. and they really, really want to pretend they don't.

they already carry the guilt of failing them once. the idea of doing it once more is unbearable and they'd rather deceive themselves than face it. they'd rather their friends stay dead and gone than think of them seeing what they've become.

Ao3 is really hit or miss, but anytime there’s a TFA cross-faction that ISN’T MegOp and someone gets caught, Megatron is usually written like he’s beyond offended and going to kill everyone involved.

It would be funnier if he kept tabs on who’s seeing who and was constantly asking if anyone’s been spreading their propaganda or convincing anyone to switch to the cons while they hit it. “Tell them they can’t tap that unless they join, quit giving them aft for free.”

Constructions sandwiching Bulkhead? They better be spreading the gospel. Shockwave talking to that trash cube again as if it can hear him? Better be telling him about the glorious cause. Blackarachnia and Optimus having tragically complicated feelings? She better be telling him how much better the decepticons are like it’s a sales pitch. “Join now, we actually LOOK FOR A BODY after dropping you down a hole in the ground.”

That would be hilarious, considering how there's a chance that's worked in the past

tf one starscream is just so...interesting to me. there's an untold story there; hidden behind multiple, subtle, details throughout the entire movie. he was the commander of the high guard, and served one of the primes, even heralded as one of the best warriors in cybertron. he rebelled against sentinel prime, and ruthlessly fought until their numbers dwindled. he believe in the system that only the strong should lead, which most likely stem from the subculture amongst the seekers and possibly used to recruit new members as they are an elite force. despite his posturing as a cruel militia, his base was set in the middle of the junkyard, and he stay hidden most of the time. when the drone attacked their location, starscream didn't fight back, he ran ( note : in my personal opinion, not an act of actual cowardice, rather unintentional. a sign of trauma due to the war ). despite being humiliated by megatron, he chose to be by his side instead of abdicating to optimus.

Now don't get me wrong, Transformers Animated is peak and is going to be a majority of the inspiration if I ever make my own Transformers cartoon, but they fumbled my boy Soundwave I ain't even gonna lie. I will say this, TFA cooked on Soundwave's origin, I know people take issue that he isn't part of the main 4 Decepticons but me personally I think that's too cool of a concept that y'all should be complaining about, however I understand why people don't like that he was basically a cameo, I don't like that either if anything he should have been the primary antagonist after his debut episode, what if he created his own Decepticon army? It would be like Age of Extinction but actually good, it would also be a cool way to introduce Nightbird into the show and I dunno maybe make Soundwave and Nightbird into cute little couple or some shit I dunno... I genuinely think they should be shipped more and I will die on that hill, please I'm begging you I never see anyone share the same vision as I do, I've been so lonely!!! PLEASE!!! JUST ONE FAN ART OF THAT PLEASE!!! JUST A CRUMB!!!! PLEEEAAASSSEEE!!! Anyway I'm almost done yapping, and on another note, since people have been making jokes about Megatron sounding like Kratos in Transformers One, I think it would be cool that in future projects Hasbro gives Optimus some Master Chief influence because if Megatron is Kratos then Optimus should be Master Chief.

okay but it's kind of funny how optimus, when he realizes how fragile human life is, does his best to not step on anything, to not move too quickly, to not accidentally hit someone and kill them. he's more careful than he's ever had to be, making sure these tiny beings are protected. then there's starscream

I mean he fucked the shuttle and in a lot of continuities that size difference is crazy.

He definitely had a big ass sparkling wether it was a seeker or not if Skyfire’s size was an inherited factor. He either had a really big seeker (thanking primus it was a single sparking instead of common triple) or a regular sized shuttle.

Either way he’s gonna make Sky pamper his “poor ruined body” a lot once he’s checked out and shows him their child.

Optimus is probably gonna find out a month later via a call not because Megatron is telling him but because Megatron has the baby on his chest during the call but acts like they aren’t there.
