The reunion of Springer and Hot Rod was sweet, Rod was in such a good mood – the best Void Rivals issues are the ones with the Autobots. Springer and Rod bring a nice warm feeling to the story, they're so charismatic – also, the plot tends to move forward when they're around which is cool

Concept art for another commission, this time with Carly.

The Starscream and Optimus pieces were originally separate ideas for the Energon Universe, but I decided to include them in this upcoming piece.

Starscream becomes a Duocon, Transforming into a Cobra Night Raven, but also splitting into the Hiss Tank (his legs) and the little shuttle on top of the Raven (his torso).

Jet Optimus is just the Bang Bravern configuration but with Jetfire as wearable armor.

Carly’s armor is based on Baroness’ but mixed with the Mixmasher Transformers armor pieces.

I LOVE IT

It keeps with the theme of Cybertronians being alien, and yet it gives them connection in a meaningful way that mirrors a human familial bond. And the idea of a clan as a sort of family unit instead of anything else. It's perfect for such a species, and I think it adds depth to Cybertronians as a whole. Bound in brotherhood that far exceeds the bounds of war. Tied together in mentorship and study even in the most brutal of eras.

It is such a small detail, but one that makes me smile. Especially seeing it from Arcee. Her and Ultra Magnus having had such a bond is the cherry on top.
