U know I get it sometimes that on the show the timeline is different so alot of plots and plotlines are wierd, but I dont understand why they shouldn't have had maelor.
I mean in the books the age difference between the twins and maelor are 3 years and yes the twins were 6 when b&c happens, but in the show Ryan condal even says that jaeherys is 4 years old ...like maelor could've existed as a baby/1yr old.

“But they’re your parents!”
Yes, so you can imagine just how much they hurt me that I felt cutting contact with them was the healthiest solution for me.
“My parents are dead and I would give anything to talk to them just once more”
So you’re bragging about your awesome parents right after I told you about how abusive mine were? Okay. It must be nice to love yours so much that their death is painful. Mine fucked up so badly that they are dead to me. We are not the same and that’s okay.
“Couldn’t you just be the bigger person?”
I was my entire childhood. I had to swallow my feelings and forgive everything they did or face punishment (physical and verbal). It only worsened my mental health and hurt me. Standing up for myself and leaving was the best thing I ever did. Not to mention that I was the child, it was NEVER my job to be the bigger person. They were the parents. That was THEIR job. They failed. I’ve moved on. So should you.

Shipper goggles aside, I fail to see how Daemon and Nettles’ relationship gets so much pushback by the fandom for being problematic when nearly every other ship on this show is just as problematic if not more so:
Alysmond has the same power imbalance as Dattles(Aemond is a prince and Alys is a lowborn bastard) and they have around the same age gap(Alys is at least 40 and Aemond is 19 in the books and 16 in the show).
Helaemond is incest and some of the theories surrounding it, Aemond fathering Helaena’s kids at 13, are borderline at best.
Helaegon is incest.
Daemyra is incest, has a significant age gap between Daemon and Rhaenyra, and there is actual abuse going on. And don’t go it’s only in the show that Daemon is abusive because in the books he’s a 30-year-old man taking his 14-year-old niece(who is still underage by Westeros standards) to brothels and teaching her sex acts.
Rhaeicent fans like to act high and mighty yet they are shipping a ship where one character is fine with the other character's son being maimed and did nothing to stop or punish her husband from murdering her ex-lover/friend’s grandchild.
I’m not even going to get into the most depraved ship of them all, Lucemond, where some of you, who are definitely adults, are trying to sexualize an irl minor.
All this backlash is said and done in the name of “protecting Nettles.” However, in any other case, you are okay with or willing to overlook ships where incest, physical violence, emotional abuse, power imbalances, and significant age gaps between partners exist, but Daemon and Nettles relationship is going too far.
Daemon and Nettles is taking it too far yet for the first time in Nettles life someone puts her first. Someone is willing to consider her. To care for her. To love her. To die to save her. That’s somehow too much?
We must protect Nettles, yet you are fine with other women characters being in incestuous relationships, being with a man who has killed their entire family, being with a man who has everything over them, being with a man who has choked them out, and being with someone who could care less about whether they and their kids live or die. Okay 👍🏽
No one is saying you have to like Nettles with Daemon or ship them, but if you find the relationship problematic and think that she should be “kept away from him” only to then turn around and go OMG I can't wait until Aemond meets his soulmate Alys and murders all the men at Harrenhal or try to convince us that Daemyra somehow isn't abusive despite the grooming and that Dattles is what is really creepy then you're being very disingenuous with your reason as to why you dislike her relationship with Daemon.

I think a lot of us felt a great amount of moral hurt on 10/7, but that was overtaken and overwhelmed by the actions of the IDF in the following weeks and exacerbated by looking into the historical treatment of Palestinian citizens by Israeli courts and settlers
Hey Anon,
I’d like to make a couple points here based on what you wrote.
First, it didn’t quite fit in the body of what I wrote, so I put it in the tags, but I did say “obviously this only applies to people who are offended by deaths on one side and not the other”. If that statement applies to you, then you don’t have to worry about the post, it isn’t about you.
But you did choose to reply and identify with the people I was talking about, so we’ll assume it does apply to you. You say that your moral hurt on behalf of the Israelis was “overtaken and overwhelmed” by Israel’s military response to being attacked and its historical treatment of Palestinians, and I just have to ask – how is this not proving my point?
Let’s start with the IDF. The most recent numbers I can easily find are from three weeks ago and they show that since October 7th over 10,000 rockets have been fired at Israel, by Hamas, but also by Hezbollah out of Lebanon, as well as from Syria. Why is what the IDF is doing so terrible, but the continued attacks on Israel not worth mentioning? Is it because of the civilian casualties? Because those rockets are being fired at civilian targets as well. Did you know that one Israeli hospital has been hit by rockets 3 times in the last two months? Here’s a link if you don’t believe me ( https://www.haaretz.com/israel-news/2023-11-01/ty-article/.premium/hospital-serving-israels-most-bombarded-city-operating-at-30-percent-capacity/0000018b-8887-dd28-a7df-9897d1dd0000 ). Why was everyone so mad at Israel when a rocket (that turned out to not even be Israeli) hit a hospital in Gaza, but no one cares that pro-Palestinian groups are actively targeting Israeli hospitals?
And if you want to talk about historical treatment of people, let’s discuss how Jewish people have historically been treated in the Middle East. Did you know that the yellow star of David that Nazis had Jews wear originated in the Middle East? Did you know that they were legally second-class citizens there? Did you know that the guy in charge of Jerusalem in the 1940s was a Nazi collaborator? Did you know that since the founding of Israel the majority of Arab nations have ethnically cleansed their Jewish residents?
And I want to be clear, the government of Israel has done some shitty things, especially the current leadership. The settlers in the West Bank are a real issue and they need to be stopped. But to focus on Palestinian suffering while ignoring Israeli suffering was exactly what I was talking about. The leadership of *Israel AND Palestine* are doing terrible things. The civilians of *Israel AND Palestine* are suffering. If only one side is causing you to feel outraged, you need to do some serious thinking as to why. And I’ll give you something to focus your thinking on – holding Jews/the Jewish state to a standard you don’t hold other people/states to is a classic example of antisemitism.

the problem with going to gigs alone is that there's no one to call and cancel at the last minute, and no you can't do it yourself ( i would have if I could, but apparently you can't bail on yourself, you know you're lying)
