comics are difficult to get into and the inconsistencies can be annoying/confusing and there is a lot of material to get through if you want to read major characters. but: it’s never so serious that you should let this stuff overwhelm you. just pick stuff up and try to figure out what’s going on. if you have a hard time going through a character’s reading order chronologically, just pick an event and read the issues for that specific story (trade paperbacks will make your life easier here). it’s literally not a commitment, tou can jump around however you like. reading comics isn’t homework, it should be fun

watched Renfield, mannn, it should have been a weird, silly, fun, actually co-dependent, GAY af, but theyre both deeply closeted, rom-com horror movie, where they love/hate each other and yet have been married for a hundred toxic years without even knowing it-movie, with deep character studies, not whatever amalgamation of stuff that thing was. the movie tries to pull off a pretty weird, fun surreal vibe, while also having Dracula be a mindless monster that is not charming, seductive, or even slightly nice to Renfield, making his choice to become his familiar seem unrealistic, especially because he doesnt come across as the type of person that would have ever done the things hes supposed to have done, not to mention he calls his powers a curse from the get-go. so he essentially doesnt grow throughout the events of the film, he starts off doubting things, and basically ends up dumping Dracula. he always kinda hates Dracula and the feeling is mutual, i dont think it fits with the vibe they were going for at all. they should have loved each other, the idea of them being co-dependent they got right, and they used it as a joke because of how ridiculous it was, but it wasnt actually showcased in any fun way, they just showed that he catered to Dracula's every whim... okay?? thats not how a co-dependent relationship works, all that he got from him was powers, powers that he declares to be a curse, so what is he really dependent on him for? nothing that is shown onscreen at least. now if they loved each other and leant on each other for food/comfort/company and were so ostracized from the outside world, that they only had each other and that was shown, then their toxic, uneven relationship would not only make for some funny moments (an outsider like Rebecca coming into their lives for the first time in a 100 years, jealousy, confusion and hijinks ensues, or after a lovers tiff, Dracula states that he is done with Renfield, only for Renfield to get himself into trouble and Dracula has to sigh and go save his ass), itd also add depth to their relationship, but most importantly itd just make sense. if you are going to hint at a toxic co-dependent relationship to make a joke out of it, you might as well go balls to the walls with it. Hell, I would have loved if Renfield was just a regular human without powers, and Dracula chose him as his little pet anyway, that he cant seem to let go of, or eat, because hes different, and other vampires or outside circumstances makes him come face to face with the fact he actually does care about this guy. I just think they dropped the ball and could have made a unique film thats deeply beloved by fewer people instead of making a movie with a broader audience, that will be forgotten in a few years.

The screen is full of incomprehensible static. Muffled chatter and shouting, frantic yet restrained order's mixed in with the chattering roar of gunfire. Roaring and angrily buzzing greywash mixing with the roar and sizzle of heat weapons and fire. The audio-feed is overwhelmed with the roar of plasma thrower's and the subsequent sizzle and crack of burning biological matter, Muttered curses and noises of disgust from across comm's. Visual feed swims in and out of focus for a moment before re-focusing on the scene, The point of view is from higher up, likely on a rock or the ridge of a crater. The target is surrounded, its limbs being hacked at and lopped off with burning blade's, the piece's incinerated before being devoured in wave's of fizzing greywash. Calendula's and Minotaur's slowly circle, burning away smaller fragments missed by the greywash, and torching the large chunks as they're sliced away. Eventually all that's left of the hostile is a torso segment, the Cockpit to be specific, everything else sliced and chopped and eaten away. A group of soldier's in DOJ/HR livery rush into frame, chasing a much taller figure, built like a calliban. Probably the recording mech's pilot judging by where they're running from. The squad fans out around the mech as the pilot shouts off some indiscernible order's. A dropship arriving a few minute's later before it unloads a significant grouping of medical personel. The medic's Soldiers and the pilot swarm the cockpit and start to pry it open. The sounds are dull but clear enough to make out. Groaning metal, snapping sinew, the cockpit is ripped open like a clam, Doctor's and soldiers and surgeons swarm and cut away at the meat, precision tools to cauterize and slice through the bloodwash. The pilot pulls a half mangled humanoid form from the cockpit, carrying them to the dropship like they'd just been pulled from a fire. The soldier's pull back, the surgeons take samples, all retreat to the dropship as the mech's circle and begin to burn down the remains into ash and charcoal. The feed cuts, before it shifts to a helmet cam view, peering out of the window of a dropship as it peels away from the surface of a dull grey world, there is a click, and then a bright steadily expanding orb of thermonuclear fire erupts on the surface. A voice from off camera. "Good job Raven's...Prepare for quarantine and decontamination aboard the carrier. And let's hope we were fast enough." [Video/Audio File attached \\ Playback Ended]

Before I went to see Deadpool and Wolverine I asked my girlfriend (who had already seen it) what she thought of it. She said it was “good but suffered from being an mcu movie”. And I was like yeah that sounds right.

But now I get it. Because if it wasn’t an mcu movie the last scene would have been a graphic sex scene with Wade and Logan.

ok so to clear everything up and also give this some context, the short version is that I got in touch with the person who runs the Daily César Domboy fan account (here on instagram, and here on twitter), who has spoken to César himself about Rogue Heroes season 2, and he confirmed that unfortunately his character, as well as the few remaining Frenchmen, have all been written out and will not be coming back for s2.

While I couldn't get TOO much detail, the reason for this was apparently script changes, so it does seem that he was initially supposed to have a storyline for s2 which had to be taken out for whatever reason. apparently César is not planning to make an announcement, so I think this is as close to official confirmation as we are gonna get until, y'know, the season actually airs and he's not there lmao.

genuinely i do think its sweet that characters like nendou or aren were never swayed by saikos money and just befriended (? one sidedly or so saiko thinks) him naturally cuz for better or for worse they just like him as a person. BUT it is so much more insane and interesting to me that he DID fucking buy takahashi yokota and muratas friendship. the plan was only to suck up to him so hed buy them stuff and give them money and they got hit with unexpected feelings. to the point that saikos usual behavior (the kind of behavior they actively encouraged before!) became horribly irritating to them because they came to genuinely think of him as a friend and it sucked that it was so clear saiko didnt feel the same way about them. didnt even wanna try to understand when they told him even. now of course trying to get back at him for it by being (anonymously (but badly)) mean to him isnt the way to go but fucckkk i LOVEEEE the messiness of it i love the frustration born out of their unrequited feelings its so crazy to me its so much more fun to me

I just had a dream this morning that competes against the TNBC x Luca dream really well for title of “My Funniest”, so I’m going to explain it before it is lost to the echoes of my mind.

It played out like a TF2 SFM. All of the characters were TF2 in fact: Two Scouts, a Soldier, and a Pyro. They were on what my subconscious could only think was a whaling ship, although there was no whaling done. The dynamic was something akin to “How To Climb A Tree”— you know that one freaky video about three scout brothers and a tree? That. Except it’s one Captain Scout, Foreman(???) Soldier, Sailor Scout, and Sailor Pyro. I know nothing about ships so bare with me. It gets funny.

Anyways, these four are sailing through the ocean, and consistently get at such a weird angle that everyone has to hold on as they go sideways. Captain and Foreman seem VERY excited about this, while Sailor Scout is alarmed like a normal human being. I have NO idea what happened with Sailor Pyro. The squad eventually finds themselves on a very wavy, very hilly road, with nothing but school buses travelling on it as well. The shifts in this “SFM” were very similar to Eltorro64rus videos.

As they’re on the road, the Foreman says something about carts, one spawns in the ship, and they all get in and ride it. It gets INCREDIBLY foggy from here, but they end up on a floating island, and it all suddenly gains Roblox Physics—the kind that I remember anyways, from the early days where a majority of games were obbies and tycoons. Captain sees a cart attached to the island, gets on it, it starts moving. Another cart spawns behind him, so Sailor Scout gets on that one… And the carts start bugging out and I distinctly remember hearing a VERY OLD version of the Roblox Jump Sound. I should note that everyone A-Poses for a few frames.

I don’t remember anything else, the dream ended just as everyone was about to glitch out and enter a tunnel that the cart was leading to. I do however remember one line of dialogue:

“Hold on with your asscheeks!” - Both Foreman and Captain at very seperate points

What this dream means? Hell if I know, but it is just as funny as my TNBC x Luca dream, so it gets the honour of getting a name as well: “SFM Ship Crew”

as i spiral deeper down the oc rabbit hole, here is a sketch of one of the more,,,uh,,,maniacal ones, like a couple years before shit hits the fan. kind of. plus a dramatic cringy description, if you’ll indulge me.

“Sketch of a young woman found amongst the circus advertisements left behind in the field. It is dated to only a 4 years ago, and the written name is ‘Evangeline’. It is unclear whether this is the name of the artist, or the woman depicted. Due to the recent disappearances in the area in which it was found, nearby residents were requested to view the portrait in the chance that it were another missing persons case. Many claimed the face to be familiar, but no attempts at identification were made. Others were dismissive of the portrait and refused to give comment. It is currently being stored amongst other documents at the station, however it is highly unlikely that any further investigations will be made due to the higher priority cases of the many missing persons in the area.

It should also be noted that no official records state any given permission for a circus to use the nearby empty fields, or of any circus at all for that matter. Again, residents nearby were questioned however most refused to give comment on, or even acknowledge a circus being in the area at all. Those that did attend the show did not state much, the most frequent comment being that it was ‘simply marvellous’ with no further details given.

Further investigations will be made, as these disappearances seem to be occurring in great numbers across the country, primarily amongst the lower class citizens. While it is unlikely that a circus is responsible for this, all possibilities, no matter how ludicrous, must be considered.”
