I disagree actually. As a book reader myself I think it's harder to argue that they(at least Thorin) weren't gay/in love. My reasoning for this statement is simple; they barely interacted in the books and yet Thorin still gave him an incredibly valuable gift and held off dying so that he could see him one last time. They didn't interact enough to form a friendship, the only logical explanation for this in my opinion is that Thorin was enamored with Bilbo. I personally can't think of any other explanation other than he had a crush on Bilbo.

I don't care what y'all say these two motherfuckers were gay as hell. Like I'm not even joking, I get why book readers argue against it, the two don't really interact much in it. But the movie, come on man like it's so obvious

One of my recent Jason posts has people talking about how valid a writers portrayal of a character is if that writer hates that character which is an interesting conversation specifically when it comes to Jason bc in case you didn't know a lot of writers do not like Jason but also a good few of the writers who hate Jason have also written some of his better stories

Basically what I'm saying is someone should make an alignment chart with one line being how much a writer loves or hates jason and the other line being how good the writer is at writing Jason

wqatching the entirety of arcane for the first time has allowed me to recognize something within myself., a significant change of character, even, and maybe this will cause me to lose my fujoshi card but after watching arcane i do not feel crazy over viktor and jayce. don't get me wrong i know the y are gay and even vaguely i ship them i even recognized that the fight between them was just some strange foreplay. its just not simply what i care most about. id don't know how im supposed to care about two men when i literally saw lesbians getting it on and e=whenever i see viktor and jayce posts im like ok yawn moving on. two years ago maybe even A year ago i would've been there i would've been arcane yaoi posting but that's just not who i am anymore
