Give me some fun facts about Soledad rn or I’ll do something…dunno what yet…
im sorry i took so long getting to this T_T thank you for asking!!! this went off-road many times with me overthinking it i just couldn't save it but hopefully it's still readable, i tried to do a mix of character and meta while not repeating anything from prev asks and then it kind of morphed into a weird bio lmao
her full name is Solona ‘Sol’ ‘Soledad’ Castillo; born 1/11/72 and raised in soledad, california, until her parents moved to sierra vista, arizona. died embraced 1/11/98, so forever 26 (and chronologically a fresh 48 during the events of Night Road).
by that time in 2020 her mom and dad have both passed and her older brother is 52; he runs their dad’s mechanical repair workshop there. she absolutely still does the sad little drive-by late at night every couple of months if she's in the area on a job (surgical mask on and hood up of course). i hc that julian, while keeping an occasional spying eye on her during the 10 yr absence, also looks out for her brother and sends business his way unbeknown to her lol
she ended up 3/3 fully blood bonded to julian in the beginning while they worked for the cam, and julian was 2/3 bonded to her. his “wasn't it romantic?” comment -- yeah literally too romantic, get back to work and feed the big underground nosferatu both of you 😤 i like that headcanon personally as another reason why he would cut contact so suddenly with sol when they were in a relationship — to break the bond on both sides; he could obsess strictly over 2100X and her desires would be completely her own again
another headcanon i'm sorry... after the diablerie of aila and the intense guilt that came with the act, plus julian (her sire) abandoning her and essentially straining and forcing their bond to fade, she gains the bulimia derangement. i paired that with the siren predator type lmfao. so very um dramatic all around when shes having a bad night. she restricts to bagged blood for like ten years working as a courier and just resigns herself to being perpetually dour and unsatisfied. i like to write her easygoing and much more lively when she's with julian during their work for the local camarilla, like the reality of her new condition hasn’t really sank in because omg julian's sooo fun and woah this world is crazy but at least julian's here he's gonna change everything or something (she believed in his vision and ideals even if she didn't fully grasp the scope at that time -- like she was on board at least. bless her she had 2 intelligence). she then becomes very muted pre-night road while the bond fades and the uglier, lonelier facets of being a vampire surface; having to pull together an independent undead existence for herself, trying to control her beast while feeding exclusively on bagged blood as job payment, then a little more tearing at the seams upon arriving in tucson during night road (resentment, guilt, anger, desire, longing, hunger for something that won't have a plastic aftertaste, all rushing back and blurring together at once; not so good a grasp on those when she’s been keeping herself numb and isolated and constantly on the move for a decade). behind everything she is desperate for connection
she has a good control on her beast thanks to that (monastic? lmao) decade (and high willpower/composure/resolve), until returning to tucson and stirring aila’s presence; the strange link to lettow, julian showing up, old memories and feelings that aren't even always her own now gathering on this very carefully crafted veneer like plaque. also suddenly having a ghoul and her own assets to worry about kind of freaks her out due to her own existential uncertainty and not really trusting herself. not even really knowing who she is. and she really likes elena right off the bat; she usually puts herself in more danger as to not risk her ghoul in the exact situations one would find themselves needing a damn ghoul in — she is literally the worst kindred ever in terms of priorities and self-preservation
speaking of her beast, it's very much that of a scorpion or snake… yes blunt-object-to-the-back-of-the-head-symbolism with some of her tattoos 😭 she stays lowkey, tries not to put herself under circumstances that would provoke or overly strain it, can keep it in check relatively well due to avid practice being a loner control freak, but when it snaps it's like an inland taipan. actually one of my fav moments playing with her in night road: so she chooses to continue feeding on blood bags in tucson, but when she finally had the opportunity to indulge with her predator type and a live target in dallas, she fucking got a critical success and killed them T_T this was after impulsively kissing julian back at the apartment d'espine allows you to stay at while in the area too. real in-character off-the-rails moment rip
i mentioned before but under the composed exterior she tries to present, she intensely seeks connection to something or someone. unfortunately the way she sees it: lettow is drawn to her because of the remnants of aila lingering within her -- also she literally ate his girlfriend, she's still not ok with that even if he forgives her because of course i gave my vampire oc morals and a guilty conscience (meanwhile cobie is eating people whole like twice a day); julian has no issue using her for whatever despite his affections, and elena is literally blood bonded to her, which sol is constantly thinking about elena's feelings and best interests — its a little bit of a sore spot for past reasons...
she gets on well with dove and begrudgingly really likes carlos (they absolutely cuss eachother out in very aggressive spanish one minute but he will pass her the roach the next) and she simped so bad for invidia caul — i think sol’s type is just a combo of super intelligence + willingness to engage in unethical experimentation lmfao. she's like omg noooo i don't understand wtf you're saying and that's sexy to me also your actions make me feel bad and are very ‘end-justifies-the-kind-of-morally-bankrupt-means’ but i cannot deny if they work out the ‘end’ would be really beneficial to kine and kindred... woe… hashtag conflicted and a little turned on. but she's very drawn to people who are idealistic or driven in an inherent ‘i want to help then i'll have purpose’ way. also the thrill. omg im just psychoanalysing her at this point sorry. this bitch would easily be indoctrinated into a cult is what it all boils down to + the extreme loyalty means she'd probably end up the cult leader's right-hand arm man his everything his confidant his best friend his silly rabbit 🤦‍♀️
also a follower in the streets but more of a leader in the sheets who said that
ok random stuff... she has those brown eyes that when she was human would glare almost red-orange when caught in straight sunlight; super deep chestnut, it only comes through under certain fluorescents these nights
very thick long hair; naturally has a kink/wave to it, quickly prone to returning to that state even when straightened, esp in the southwest's heat. usually loose when in tucson or dressing up, or braided ponytail on the road/job which i am so afraid to draw
nails are sharp like mini claws unless she’s specifically clipped them after rousing. they extend obscenely when she pops protean. i need to draw her fangs but they’re feline/kittenish: weirdly long and thin like staple punches, and again when she pops protean they extend like a snakes
her character color scheme runs warm-dark: black, brown, ochre, sienna, umber, burnt orange, deep shades of red, and maybe some random olive. style-wise it’s a mixed bag of practical minimalist and sleek; street and active wear, the occasional gold-ruby-emerald or leopard print dolce & gabbana-esque gaudy accent. very feminine on top; skin tight, low cut, corseted or cropped, paired with something oversized; men’s beaten-soft leather jackets, vintage driving jackets, or blazers. pants go either way: form fitting or baggy and belted depending on whatever silhouette she wants to cut. think of like the swaggiest 70s cuban drug lord/80s gangster restyled on 90s supermodel Naomi Campbell or something. with formal-wear i really like her in off-shoulder stuff. i try to draw her tattoos more in art bc it makes her more fun to look at but as a courier she wears driving gloves and long pants/boots to cover them up, and baseball caps or large sunglasses (yes at night. loser) to keep herself mostly unidentifiable
THANK YOU FOR ASKING ABOUT MY BLORBO!!!! :'3

There's like, what? at least THREE speedforce users concentrated in a singular time period? and the word concentrated sounds a bit extreme until you remember the fact that these btiches have power over time; they can timetravel
Impluse did time traveled and has made a place for himself in an older time period permanently
Compared to that, the metabolism's hardly a big deal at all
and unless their world/universe/multiverse is isolated in it's own bubble where not even timetravel gets out, that means their time shenanigans likely affect existing multiverses outside their own so that's a doozy to comprehend
And time travel isn't even exclusive to speedforce users, nothing is sacred, there's magic, and sciences and magical sciences, probably metas with time powers and there's also time loops and---
As far as we're aware, there isn't just THREE speedforce users who can and will time travel if it's called for, but multiple other instance of time travel or manipulation, all concentrated in a singular time period
that fucks shit up
anomalies that people might not even pick up on because the screwing of reality has affected their very minds become the norm; because minus this time period the whole rest of the timeline, before and after that era, is in perfect working order
this particular patch of the timeline is mangled forever and irreversibly, before anybody knew there was a timeperiod in need of unmangling
The clock ticks onward---the heroes and villains, and everyone beyond moves on and dies and the next generations after them don the spotlights, and time marches existence onwards as it always has; that's true, that's permanent. It's ineffable truth
Nothing has changed
you say it feels like just yesterday we did this very act as though it weren't the case
The clock ticks onwards---1:00, 2:00, 3:00, 4
5, 6, 7, 8
9, 10, 11
this is how the world ends
11:30
this is how the world ends
11:50
not with a bang
11:59:59
but with a---
1:00
this is all to say that this is my headcanon to explain Tim's Forever 21 17
and also other plotholes; and maybe you can take this hc to make an AU where there's more shenanigans than ceasing to age at a certain point due to a time period being Eternal even though the rest of the timeline is still perfectly functional
=======
( as for wtf the whole clock stuff was meant to convey, it references the reblogged 'prokopetz the eleventh hour' post )
"...“The Eleventh Hour” is generally used to refer to the Last Possible Point BEFORE everything goes horribly sideways, so this would suggest that you are in a place perpetually stuck at the terrible and fruitless moment just shy of impending disaster. "
-- askmissbernadette
Ooh! AUs/HCs that explore Tim's perpetual state of 17 are rad as hell (although thankful he has finally been allowed to become an adult).
I never did quite consider the ramifications of multiple people messing with the timeline. For one person, we've seen so much media that warns against it and shit. Multiple people that aren't communicating before, during, or after their interventions? How the hell does the space and time continuum not collapse?
Then, the multiverse theory is added on top of all that? My brain is a little too tired to try to even comprehend how bad of an idea it all sounds (for the speedsters and other people who mess with the timeline).
I like to hc that some of the universes that pop off are consequences from a Flash or anyone else screwing up time. It'd be cool to see some angst regarding that (let's say Bart went back in time to save Tim in his universe which caused another universe to lose their Tim [and the domino effect of that unplanned loss for that timeline]). That, or the rewritten history causes new universes to form as a result of the many many paths and choices that can happen after that change.
It'd also be fantastic to see a villain who's like Miguel from Across the Spider-Verse, but worse. A person who picks and chooses universes that they think best suits their needs and desires. They keep hopping to other ones when the one they are in is no longer suitable. They also integrate themselves into the universes with ease and sometimes murder that universe's version of them to take their spot (they prefer kidnapping, though, so that the OG person can resume their life when the villain leaves).
Anyways, there are some great fics out there that chat about Tim staying 17 and/or the other Bats having weird timelines too

Hello, I've just read loads of your posts/metas/HCs and I love them - especially your character analysis! I have to confess my favourite has always been Tonks and after reading your post about her and Snape and how they relate to each other, I can't get out of my head how good Tonks/Snape/Lupin relationship might be! Do you have any HCs or thoughts about what a relationship for them might look like?
Please don't feel like you need to answer if this is a topic that doesn't interest you - but if it is, I'd love to know your take!
Severus and Remus both push people away from them. - Severus is a grumpy sod that pushes down emotion. He pushes people away so they can't become problems. - Remus has his grumpy sod moments - but mainly pushes people away so he can't become a problem and hurt them.
Neither of them can trust other people not to hurt them, so they close off their hearts.
Tonks is a magnet that draws people in. She is a worm, a parasite, an expert in squirming into the most protected hearts and softens them. A grumpy-sod whisperer.
- She drags the emotion out of Snape effortlessly. She is someone he knows he can (mostly) trust to be competent. - She is strong enough to resist Remus' pushing and to soothe his worries of being a burden: she can handle him. - She can adapt herself to what people need, she cares about how they feel and she won't easily fold.
Remus 🤝 Dora 🤝 Severus
Normally Severus and Remus repel eachother - but as they are softened by Tonks… they soften to eachother, too. Because deep down they have alot in common, their flaws compliment eachother - once they get past that first hurdle of actually getting to know eachother.
The one thing Tonks cant do for Severus is know what he has been through. Know what his life has been like, what he has had to do, what being naturally despised and a double-agent abandoned by everyone you love is like. What it's like to be alone. To hit rock bottom and scrape against it… and always fear losing everything and falling down there again. Remus knows that… and he loves soothing people. He loves being soft, wise, gentle - and useful.
The one thing Tonks can't do for Remus is convince him he is needed. He thinks she is biased. Capable, strong, intelligent - too good, he is dragging her down. Their whole relationship has been her trying, insisting, pleading - with small spurts of what he would call 'being weak' where he folds. But SHE can't convince him that isn't 'being weak'. Other people need to - it has to come from outside, someone he can't pass off by saying 'they don't understand the reality of his condition and situation.' His depression, anxiety and trauma makes him a little delusional. He can't just be brought to water, he needs to be FORCED to drink. (Harry did a good job of this.) Tonks can't do that. She is in the wrong position for it - and she is just a little too soft to handle him so roughly. Severus wouldn't struggle to grab him by the scruff of the neck and hold his head under. To drag him home.
- Remus is weak willed - supported by Tonks, but kept in line by Severus. Remus can't give Tonks stability in their relationship. Severus not only can - but he can enforce it. - Severus can't give Tonks an open heart, not without her working hard for it. But Remus can. - And they can draw it out of eachother - if not for themselves, then FOR HER.
Like I've always liked Snupin but struggle to see it as particularly 'domestic'. They're both standoffish. In a relationship would be interesting: finding being alone together a comfort. But with a third? With Tonks as their anchor? The foundation? Not only could they both orbit around her - I think it would bring them together better, too.
Going from bickering and only withstanding eachother in the same room for Tonks sake… ...to them both cuddled on the couch, watching a documentary or something, waiting for her to get home. They go from teasing her "What do you even see in that guy…?" To having their own slow-burn romance right infront of her.
Going from: Remus 🤝 Dora 🤝 Severus to: Dora 🤝 🤝 Remus 🤝 Severus
...and like imagine the sex
Anyway I really like poly ships for Remus - because he is such a fucking handful. He needs a whole support structure to just stay with Tonks in canon - so slipping a third, fourth, whatever into their structure just... makes sense. He is a complex guy with many issues that aren't easily supported. He can't just have a mate. He needs a pack.
A little different to the ask: but If you want a cute poly fic between Remus, Tonks, Sirius and a cute OC @black-occamy has a really sweet one on AO3 :) (I hope they don't mind me sharing it)

Discussion on Porky's favourite person outside of acting + hcs (Pt 1)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Present day thoughts:
I went into such a tangent there lmao (I'm the one with the Sonic pfp)
To answer my own discussion question now... I think that, offscreen, the Porky of present day gets along with the Daffy of present day the most. Daffy in the 2020s is much different from who he was in the 2010s and further back.
Watching Looney Tunes Cartoons has gotten me more convinced of Dafpork's deeper affections beyond the shouting and violence. Their amicable portrayal has become much more consistent and reciprocal than what it seemed to me in the original shorts that depicted the "friendly rivals" dynamic.
Though I'll say I think their relationship still involves regular moments where Porky feels out of his depth due to Daffy's disconnect with reality, and general disregard for people's comfort. I think this change in perception is due to writing and frequency. Because writing wise, Daffy's nastier aspects have been toned down nowadays, and Porky is being treated more like a character than a plot device.
Also. The sheer amount of hcs I have in these screenshots are dense as heck -- but to address some of those, I liked to think about the characters developing independent of how they were originally conceptualised. So I still hc that Daffy was a catalyst to Porky's development in personality -- Chuck Jones has discussed how he developed Porky's personality in shorts by developing them in relation to how it could compliment Daffy's (to paraphrase anyway).
However, I've basically nixed the concept of Daffy going "off-script" in his debut short. Cuz the looney tunes carry an approximately grounded depiction of hollywood and the industry -- so the notion that Daffy was some nobody duck that was meant to be canned after one short he hijacked is unreal to me now. Because I now think that in a meta interpretation, the directors/people involved in Daffy's conception wouldn't have thought that far to deliberately decide on whether any character should be "one-off". Especially back when the motive seemed to be leaning towards acquiring mainstay characters.

🦋 (Butterfly) - Does your OC ‘fear the reaper’, so to speak? If they fused with Morpho Knight, what sort of form would they take on?
For Celestine, Uther, Icarus, and Morgan
Fair warning the answers are a little spoilers... (but still enough room for some mystery)
Uther: Yes, for Uther... he did not want his name and legacy to die... using his apprentices as an extension of himself.
This is why he was extremely upset with Arthur (the one he tried so hard to mold), who had gone off and abandoned his privileged station as his right hand (as his pawn). Disobeying him and choosing Meta Knight over him.
And he feared death even more when he got ahold of Celestine's prophecy (A series of events I plan to explain later). Which predicted the end of Uther & the Ancient's reign over the galaxy... A prophecy she tried so hard to make into a reality.
Celestine tried her best to stop Uther from peering into it (so he could not stop it) ... destroying it before he even got a chance to see all of it...
All he saw were a few vivid images and colors... but the only thing he could see was an astral with a pink-hued warrior... (wait a minute GALACTA'S PINK...)
Uther has always believed the one who'd destroy and usurp his throne was Galacta Knight... but in reality, it was Kirby... he got the wrong star warrior. (he realized it too late)
Before taking his life Morpho gave him a small glimpse of the future, which was the greatest punishment of all for him.
He saw the child that he had forsaken & despised (Meta Knight) become the future leader of the GSA. And Kirby succeeded in destroying the era he created... ushering in the era of peace.
And the one whose legacy that was remembered and beloved by all was not his... but Arthur's. :3
Icarus: He feared death while astrals have a long life the concept of death always freighted him... he hoped to remove his "organic shell of a body" and create an immoral body... which he played around with creating life so much... got him in trouble with big time.
Once he triggered the creation of Kirby from Void... Morpho immediately came for his life. And made sure he felt the weight of his crimes... coming for his wings and burning them slowly & painfully.
Morpho despised Icraus' lack of respect for organic life and destroyed his soul... crushing it to never be reincarnated. (He did this with Uther's soul as well.)
He'd flown too close to the sun...
Morgan: She doesn't fear death... she's actually looking to dethrone Morpho... Respectless... (that's all I can say without spoilers)
Tumblr media
And my (HC) voice for her Velvet from Hazbin Hotel.
Morpho doesn't know whether or not to sympathize, despise, fear her, or be impressed by her... the actions she's doing are practically punishing herself.
She's sunken so deep that... he can't even call her soul a soul anymore... and no longer has any jurisdiction to collect... she's practically a walking corpse.
Celestine:
Tumblr media
I can't spoil anything but Morpho has great respect for Celestine... she is one of the few lucky souls he can say had outwitted him... and will go as far as to say congratulations to her without any hint of resentment.

thematic headcanons / @sparesovereign / no longer accepting !
╰┈➤ hc + 😨 for a fear-themed headcanon
Tumblr media
||. Thor is courageous...and oftentimes, that quality is confused with fearless. (Something I think Thor would swiftly point out that he is FAR from.) To say he spirals into anxious fits or is prone to flights of panic would be an incredibly far stretch. Thor is hardly the sort. He isn't neurotic. (He is, in fact, quite the lax creature.) And so, while it would certainly be disingenuous to say that Thor is neurotic, the nature of which he has been bred, schooled and raised lends itself to something of an... active penchant for worrying.
I would argue, through sheer observation and general inferences, theory, you name it, that while Thor is generally quite calm (and cool under fire when pressed), he is far more anxious than he lets on. To be a leader of any stripe is to wear many different hats, all at once, after all. Knowing every detail at all times, having counter-measures for potential worst-case scenarios, combing through plans to be the most efficient without any loose ends. In Thor's case, not only has he been schooled to eventually lead an entire country, but multiple countries - planets, even - that extend throughout the Asgardian Empire (The Nine Realms). He's also the head of his squadron, meaning he has to be a great warrior and tactician, and beyond that, he's a person with great power, and an even bigger heart. So one will find, if one pays attention enough, that he does indeed worry. About his family, his friends, his personal warriors and the state of the Einherjar. He worries about whether the Asgardians have needs he can fulfill as head of state and crown, from prosperity down to safety, and then this extends to the other realms and their overall states of being, and the planets beyond that of the Nine Realms; the galaxy is big and filled with allies and enemies alike, after all.
Where worry turns to fear is when all of those worries compound, or become reality; when threat becomes reality, and when the state of things fall to his own shoulders. It becomes fear when it becomes personal. For Thor is a great many things. He is mighty and fierce, compassionate and kind... and he also fears greatly that he will never be able to fulfill the expectations set before him by his Father and his fore-fathers, and the expectations of the Realms and his own people. Even his own closest friends expect greatness. But how do you rise to the same height of the wisest, and longest-lived king in the universe? How do you compete with the concept of the endless, heroic valor of a storm? How do you ensure the safety of your people and the sanctity of your home's borders, when you yourself feel so small in comparison to the greatness behind you, before you, and expected of you?
And because his fear is vast, and because his worries so deep in him, at the end of the day what Thor fears is failure, and in that way, Thor is courageous, for daily he takes his fear and (usually) commands it. He rises, he competes, he ensures. If for no other reason than that he will not allow any other option, because that is his greatest fear.
Small meta/examples under the cut for why I say this generally:
From what I gather from all of Thor's appearances (and I mean all of them. There's not a single appearance he doesn't do what I'm about to say at least once. Probably twice.) is that he's a relatively anxious individual. Again, not to the point of neurotic behaviors ("... experiences anxiety, depression, irritability, and self-consciousness. It is also common for a neurotic person to interpret situations as threatening, making them feel overwhelmed easily. The reactions and feelings of a person who is neurotic are not by choice. - x.) but definitely to the point of some disruption.
In THOR (2011) there are multiple instances just in the (cut) opening scenes where Thor is pacing and fretting before his coronation. It's Loki who comes to him first and eases his mind, followed soon thereafter by Frigga's attempts. It's an act of genuine sincerity from Loki that gets Thor to calm down ("...But, really, how do I look?" / "Like a king.")
Tumblr media
BEFORE that, though, he covered it up with over-enthusiasm, gloating, goading, and overall defensive behaviors. (I've expanded on it before, but his supposed 'arrogance' is less arrogance and more a bloated and failed attempt at self-confidence)
Tumblr media
One that he attempts to keep through humor and frivolity. Only it doesn't exactly come across that way, when his anxiety/fear leads him to a fight response, which then leads to aggression when he feels he's cornered. (and when you're scared of everyone knowing your a fraud....well...)
Tumblr media
In THOR: THE DARK WORD (2013) there are multiple instances of his depression and anxiety but the best and most obvious depiction is when he's sharing his plan to escape asgard (effectively committing treason against his own father) with the rest of the Warriors. He has a habit of rubbing at and wringing out his hands, the same as Frigga and Loki both do.
During the escape, he also exhibits what I lovingly call his panic-breathing, in that he's becoming overwhelmed with either fear or anger (or usually both) and then he begins to breath heavily with his entire chest, and slowly caves inward.
This panic-breathing and/or hand-wringing / anxious trait is also something shown in
THOR: RAGNAROK (2017)
Tumblr media
AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON (2015)
Tumblr media
and when he isn't caving inwards in a way that's physically palpable, then he's generally very closed off in his body language, in this... sort of self-sheltered, self-soothing, hunched inward way. He reminds me of a turtle.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He also has a habit of, when he feels threatened, trying to make himself big - and especially bigger than whatever thing or person is scaring him.
Tumblr media
The best example of that I can find it with Nick Fury, because even though Fury has the power (both in the cinematogrpahy, and in the topic of conversation), you can still see Thor sort of bulk up (and stare Fury down) in an effort to seem unintimidated / larger than Fury.
TL;DR is Chris Hemsworth gives Thor some really neat body language quirks and all of them make me wanna hug him by boy is this guy stressed and/or anxious/scared like constantly

(Apparently y'all liked when I posted about Danganronpa and I got this hc I want out there so here comes the food guys)
Is it likely we'll ever get another Danganronpa game? Nah
Do I want this nonexistent game to be about Rantaro's killing game and do I know exactly how it must end anyway? Hell yeah
Of course it's entirely possible that the Ultimate Survivor thing isn't a unique case in the in-universe DR franchise and it's just a way of bringing back a fan-favourite candidate like they probably do on reality shows.
But wouldn't it be MUCH more fun if Rantaro alone got that title bc he really was the sole survivor of his game, in what could have been a first in the series?
The thing with a series being as formulaic as DR is that the same structure becomes expected. NDRV3 Trial 1 worked so well bc according to The Formula, everyone can die EXCEPT the protagonist, so throwing that out the window is an instant shocker so long as it's decently executed. And while I have my issues with Kaede's plan and her just jumping to killing the mastermind like that (idk it just felt ooc for her to resort to killing so soon), I can't deny the twist was very well prepared and all that stealth foreshadowing HURTS on second watch.
So when all the shit in NDRV3 Chapter 5 happened, no one, not a single mf believed that could be it, because according to The Formula, all the actually important lore shows up on Trial 6 alongside the Mastermind, and the game can't end before that reveal. No one believed in the unsolvable case, because The Formula says there is always one culprit and there can never be a wrong answer. This, even when actually having more than one culprit would actually make a more interesting story as previously stated.
But with Rantaro's game? The fact that he survives isn't too bad a foregone conclusion when we still have to discover HOW he survived, who else was with him and how they died. But what of Trial 6, when everything about the Mastermind (Tsumugi/Junko) and the meta aspects is foregone conclusion?
So... How about we just skip Chapter 6 entirely? What if we overthrew The Formula by stopping at Trial 5, if there is nothing more shocking a Trial 6 could possibly do?
So if Rantaro really is the sole survivor of his game. Okay, the idea of the protagonist soloing a trial against the Mastermind is actually pretty awesome, but isn't there a more plausible explanation as to why only one person would walk out of a killing game alive?
Imagine going through an intense trial, but finally coming close to the truth and uncovering the killer's plot, and getting to the vote... Only, for the first time in the franchise, to see the result be WRONG. To realize the game pulled a little unreliable narrator on us and the "truth" was just the narrative the very character we play as wanted us to follow. To witness what a mass execution is like at last and for it to unveil Rantaro as the first blackened to have successfully gotten away with it.
And for the game to just. End there, without the expected Trial 6.
Now imagine replaying through that chapter knowing the end and picking up on all the subtle hints of what Rantaro was doing behind everyone's back, even ours. Worse, replaying the game and following the Ultimate Adventurer's character development along the whole game now knowing it all culminates with him finding the resolve to betray all the other students.
Oh how cruel and utterly beautiful that would be </3
(Bonus headcanon I got while reviewing this before posting: What if that game introduced red herring truth bullets, as in clues you collect that are never meant to be used at all in the trial and just here to misguide the player, so an added difficulty is now picking out the right clues that will lead to the truth. But in hindsight, the final trial turns out to have been about picking your clues to derail the trial and push YOUR narrative when some of the "red herrings" were clues that could've exposed you)

ok ok ok ash, i hope you’re ready for my HCs—i can’t seem them being as good as u bc u set a high and but i’m gonna give it an honest effort.
1. ambivert leaning towards introvert? u prefer having a smaller group of friends that u can let loose w & u social battery takes time to recharge.
2. not a big fan of alcohol? like—u try it, gives u the ick & the you’ll nurse the same drink for a long time.
3. u were the smart kid in school—slightly overachieving, liked sitting in the front, had the answers type
4. you’re good at like. crafts and stuff? all that DIY stuff—bracelets, jewellery, photo frames idk
5. not a big sports person but swimming is good stuff
6. u have a high pain tolerance (this has to be true bc what u told me about ur tattoo—)
7. ur parents r pretty chill w you and u get a lot of only child benefits but ur also not like. a spoiled brat?
8. a rambler!!! can talk for days about anything & everything, interspersed w so many tangential stories & events
dude you said you don't see them being as high as mine and then having the first one dead on correct is most i didn't study for test but topped class behaviour jsjdh
1- my irl friends have this ratio that is just my speaking and interacting with people is inversely proportional to the no of people. it doesn't matter if these are people i have known all my life. like at max i can stay at my bffs house for 5 hours then i Just start getting the hives and it's too much
2-ohkay so i haven't gotten hammered yet (haven't had the chance, but so far my experience was that i liked it enough, i am cautious with it tho but that's more getting caught by family ke karan wala scene)
3-i wish lmao why do people have this perception (you're definitely not the first) but i was an above average kid till like 10th. i had something of a harry scene like where he's smart but he doesn't have studious habits so it didn't really translate to grades you know. the sitting in first bench thing is slightly true (i want to sit infront at time cause i can't see past my hands without glasses,my eyesight is just the most whack thing)
4- oh yeah this is dead on like i didn't do jwellery but i did make a lot of other creative stuff as a kid loved arts and crafts. I'm that stationary friend even now my pouch is 1/2 kgs 🥲
5-ooh so i love running (like track/relay races and stuff) i love cycling just the feel of being so fast that the wind just kisses your face and you get the temporary relief from heat or the world even becomes blur i love that feeling
also love swimming as well tho but besides that don't like any games that involve balls so you're right in a way
6- yeah you're right about it, even rn i ahve a injury which i thought i was adequately describing to mom but turns out just sayin I'm okay and it's not that bad when it is bad doesn't work who knew 🙃
7- bhai so you're dead on for half that I'm not a spoiled brat (also does anyone else physically get the ick when they have to compliment themselves in any form and even if it's a very true statement)
but while i am an only child. my parents are bihari which idk if you've heard about them but they have a reputation ™
they are the strictest species to be on this planet and that's why i am Machiavellian and just like a liar ™
8- did you by chance speak with my friends cause!!!!!! i get this so so so much i can't be on a topic for more than 5 mins. i could start with history of earth and will somehow reach to the depths of feminism and it's reality in india to some meta discussion about a character
I'm that one friend that's just like- so what topic were we in again
the other friend : which one of these 18 topics are you talking about
over-all dude you've got a pretty good idea about me 🫂

:) hiiiiiiiii
It's important to preempt I see 'Dreams' and 'Wishes' as connected concepts in the Kirby universe-- not the exact same thing BUT in some cases they interchangable. I also base basically all of my headcanons off of this quote from the instruction booklet of KATAM: "High in the skies above Dream Land floats the Mirror World. In this strange and beautiful land, mirrors have the power to make any wishes reflected in them come true. One day, a sinister presence invaded the Mirror World, and its mirrors could only reflect bad things. When Meta Knight discovered what was happening, he set off to save the Mirror World."
I HC that BEFORE KATAM the Mirror World was a more 'ideal' version of Popstar, built on people's collective dreams. For example if a lot of people even internally wished something was different, it would be in the mirror world. For example a lot of people wished Kirby was more mindful and didn't rush into things, so Shadow Kirby became... Mindful and patient. Dedede wished Meta Knight was a bit less selfish and more loyal (due to his own worries) and so Dark Meta Knight began to value loyalty and indulge in self-sacrificial ideals.
However since Dark Mind is most likely (to me) a reflection of Nightmare, a being who causes Nightmares, Dark Mind can inherently mess with the Dimension Mirror because it sees Dreams and reflects them. So he chose to reflect those desires of others in a way which was self serving, to take control the Mirror World. Walking back to my two prior examples: Dark Mind made Shadow Kirby hesitant to act (as well as disoriented him) so that he would not intervene. And similarly Dark Mind bumped up DMK's loyalty significantly more, but turned Dark Meta Knight's loyalties towards himself.
After KATAM though, the Mirror was irreparably damaged and could no longer reflect things. Meaning that for the most part the Dimension Mirror is not reflecting new people who did not exist outside of Popstar originally (save for a few characters depending on my mood, really, I keep it flexible), nor is it attempting to recreate any of the games. As well as this out of self-preservation it's stopped reflecting anything OFF of Popstar really (this is entirely because I'm not interested in making a Mirror Ribbon tbh). Making it so the Mirror World in reality is very very small, confusing, and it sort of loops if you attempt to go too far 'out of bounds'.
Of course for me I see the Mirror Worlders as very similar to their counterparts in some ways, but their flipped traits aren't entirely bad things. For example Dark Meta Knight values self-sacrifice very highly, and has decided to instead remain to keeping the Mirror itself from malfunctioning in the future, fearing of messing things up further. And Shadow Kirby pursues very intellectual hobbies and activities, and has become very intelligent, which Kirby doesn't have the patience for or interest in. (Not that Kirby isn't) Although of course some of their flipped or more extreme traits are bad. Shadow Kirby is a loner and is incapable of teamwork even if he tried to do so (in KF2, the game about fighting with a friend, he flies solo always), and struggles with forming bonds with others. Meta Knight's desire to best Kirby (to be the strongest) has melded with hatred and has formed a need in DMK's heart to utterly destroy Kirby, if not in combat then in another way, for killing him that one time. Dark Meta Knight also loathes Kirby (and some others, who are seen as heroes) because they have never intentionally sacrificed anything, and are entirely self-serving, and therefore cannot be real heroes. Or at least as not as real as him.
So yeaahh there's like a crumb of my mirror world headcanons. Sorry this was long. I hope you have fun creating your own Mirror World HCs. I saw from your other post you already brought up a question I'd love for honestly everyone to think about when it comes to mirror world stuff, so I'm excited to see how you interpret these characters :)!
To anyone with headcanons or theories about the mirror world (the people in it, how it used to be, etc.) please tell me I love the mirror world and its characters and just. Everything about it I wanna hear what others think

headcanon 001.
this headcanon is going to delve into todoroki’s psychiatric disorders and how they impact him. WARNING: this post will contain very heavy subjects, such as child abuse and its effects, depression, ptsd, and mentions of schizophrenia. also it’s fucking long. you dont have to read all of it, but the important parts are the bold text and what follows it shortly after.
LONG POST !!!
                                                   c-PTSD
this stands for complex post traumatic stress disorder. “ Complex post-traumatic stress disorder (C-PTSD; also known as complex trauma disorder) is a psychological disorder thought to occur as a result of repetitive, prolonged trauma involving sustained abuse or abandonment by a caregiver or other interpersonal relationships with an uneven power dynamic. ” thank you, wikipedia. i think this disorder is a bit obvious with todoroki, but i’m gonna get into it anyway.
some of the symptoms todoroki experiences are, but are not limited to, inhibited anger, shame, guilt, a sense of distinction from others, “Distorted Perceptions of the Perpetrator. Examples include attributing total power to the perpetrator, becoming preoccupied with the relationship to the perpetrator, or preoccupied with revenge” (source), isolation, distrust in others, dissociation, memory repression, reliving memories.
there are moments when todoroki becomes consumed with anger, even to the point of no longer being in control of his power, and it all relates back to his father (you know, his abuser). he is quick to feel shame and guilt about things, given that all his life, every “wrong” thing that he’s ever done, he’s been punished for. he’s been told all of these things were his fault and that he should feel guilty for them. he may not express it (which is something i will get into later) but even little things tend to get to him pretty deeply. like, say, he knocks something down by accident. he’ll take a moment and stare at it with a blank expression and process what happened, but he’ll freeze for a moment, unsure of what to do, and become slightly afraid and feel guilt for ruining something. of course, once logic kicks in, few seconds later, he’s able to assess and take care of the situation.
in regards to his distorted perceptions, i wanna be careful to mention that endeavor was indeed an abuser and it’s not just todoroki’s disorder that is “distorting” this. he WAS abusive, definitely, and him (and a bit of his mother, though he’s repressed the memory with her) are the primary reason todoroki even suffers from this disorder. that said, todoroki is still bitter and begins to fixate on this idea of spite that rises up in him at around 12 years old. this is the age when his anger begins to manifest and when he starts comparing his father to other peoples’ and realizes just how shitty he’s been treated all his life. he becomes resentful, to the point of getting into UA and trying to become the best hero without using his dad’s power solely just to spite him. he disregards all others’ opinions and fixates on his hatred, allowing it to fester and boil and refusing to ever have a proper conversation with his dad, despite how his father may attempt to. if forced into a situation with his father, he stays bitterly silent.
he begins to isolate himself from others near the beginning of the middle of his primary school experience. i’d say around 6 or 7 years old. out of fear, he never really felt that he could rely on others, and was very shy and unconfident which led him to not develop very many close relationships. he was very close with his older sister, fuyumi, and didn’t mind talking with others, so long as they initiated the conversation. he was quiet and studious, again, out of fear of disappointment and rejection from others. eventually, he became cold and distant -- after years of friendlessness, he becomes to feel bitter toward others, but mostly himself, thinking something is wrong with him and there’s something about him that is uninteresting and unappealing to other people. he begins to accept that he doesn’t need other people, despite his loneliness, and grows used to the idea that he doesn’t need friends to succeed. what with the trouble the idea’s always caused him, he begins to think that having friends would only hinder his goal in competing to be the top hero.
in regards to dissociation, he often dissociates when reminded of something he’s experienced in the past, or is in fear of experiencing in the future. he dissociated when his mother splashed his face with the boiling water and later repressed the memory, and continues to dissociate during different events to present. there are signs that point to this pre-battle with bakugou and during, as well as in his battle with deku in the sporting events. it is also seen that he has flashbacks and relives his memories as a response to a stimulus to them. this occurs when he is faced with similar situations or if he dwells on the ideas and memories too often, and will often manifest themselves when on his lonesome, or trying to sleep.
                                                Schizophrenia
" Schizophrenia is characterized by thoughts or experiences that seem out of touch with reality, disorganized speech or behavior, and decreased participation in daily activities. Difficulty with concentration and memory may also be present ” (source). as well as  " a serious mental illness that interferes with a person's ability to think clearly, manage emotions, make decisions and relate to others ” (source). i’d say he developed this in his early teenage years, around 12 or 13. he doesn’t really realize he suffers from this, however, often chalking it up to poor past experiences, stress, irrational thoughts, and general tiredness or confusion. everyone experiences schizophrenia differently, so i want to get into how todoroki experiences his.
before i get into all of his symptoms, i want to mention that some of them can come and go periodically and some of them overlap with the ones mentioned above. since i already explained those ones, i’m not going to get into them again. in order to better understand, i’m going to cross out the ones mentioned next that i’ve already explained.
some of the symptoms he experiences regarding this disorder are, reduced speaking, confused thoughts, hallucinations (not often, however), flat affect (i’ll get into what this means) which goes along with the vacant expression, trouble concentrating, trouble sleeping, irritability, dwelling unreasonably on the past, social withdrawal, problems making and keeping friends, angry outbursts, poor personal grooming, inability to understand certain information and social cues, and reduced feelings of pleasure in day-to-day life.
reduced speaking is pretty self explanatory, you know, he doesn’t speak much. he doesn’t speak unless he feels that he needs to, and he doesn’t speak unless he’s confident that he can voice his thoughts appropriately. he experiences confused thoughts that become jumbled in his mind somehow, which make it difficult to voice what he’s thinking without saying something he might feel is wrong. he likes to know what he’s going to say before he says it, out of fear of messing it up. he limits himself, for, any expression he’s allowed himself, he was later punished for. he might feel ashamed if he were to speak and falter in his thinking in front of others due to his reserved nature.
he has rare( r ) hallucinations, but only if he’s triggered by an event that bears resemblance of something he’s been through before or is afraid of going through in the future (or again). most of them are visual and auditory. he doesn’t experience any tactile hallucinations or any other sorts. they, 99% of the time, relate to his upbringing, parents, and siblings. during a moment in which he may be experiencing an emotional episode, he will hear his father’s voice once more, telling him degrading things about himself and giving him commands. he doesn’t act on anything that he’s told, but he’ll often hold his head in irritation and shame. they don’t last long, though, and he’s able to calm himself from them decently enough.
flat affect is “ a severe reduction in emotional expressiveness. People with depression and schizophrenia often show flat affect. A person with schizophrenia may not show the signs of normal emotion, perhaps may speak in a monotonous voice, have diminished facial expressions, and appear extremely apathetic ” (source). there’s not much else to be said on the subject of how it affects him... i think this is explanatory enough. i do want to mention, though, that flat affect is a reduction in emotional expressiveness -- todoroki still experiences emotions like any other person would, he’s just unable to express them well. like i mentioned before, vacant expression goes along with this. vacant expression is just as it sounds, like he’s spacing off, his eyes are empty, he’s not looking at anything in particular, and bears no emotional expression on his face. with this, he also has trouble concentrating. he’s able to concentrate well on his studies and when working on his lonesome, but in regards to other people and conversation, he often loses sight of what they are saying to him and can no longer find himself able to concentrate on what they’re saying. he may start to space off halfway through a conversation, or become distracted by something else, or other thoughts he may be having.
he has trouble sleeping, which ties into a bit of what i mentioned before in regards to his c-ptsd. before he sleeps is when he is alone and lets his thoughts run, and that can often lead to too many thoughts, an inability to relax, or reverting back to instances of his past, his day (whether they be positive or negative), and the replaying of random memories in his mind (sometimes distorted from the way they actually happened).
he experiences a lot of irritability, but it’s generally subdued beneath his ‘emotionless’ exterior, as well as purposefully held back in an effort to avoid violent confrontation. there are only little things that get on his nerves and annoy him, but it’s generally not anything serious enough to cause an issue over. so, he doesn’t. he had poor personal grooming before entering UA highschool, sometimes being unable to perform regular hygienic duties, i.e. showering, brushing his teeth/hair, etc. instead, he’d only be able to perform the bare minimum. once he entered UA, he felt more motivated to keep himself clean and presentable, despite how hard it may be for him sometimes, some mornings. it’s something his father always drove into his head, which tied into his thoughts when reminding himself that he needed to take care of himself.
he’s very intelligent and is able to tie certain things to others, thus giving him sound conclusions in battles and regular confrontation with other people, but he often misses out on social cues and understanding of given information. he’s better at deciphering and analyzing situations, but social cues aren’t necessarily one of his fortes, but it doesn’t mean he doesn’t always understand. the only thing is that he generally takes things quite literally -- he’s able to discern other people’s emotions and how they are feeling, but in regards to things like slang, metaphors, and sarcasm, he generally doesn’t pick on up on it well. though, that’s not to say he doesn’t understand any of it.
his pleasure in day-to-day activities, as well as a simple enjoyment of life is reduced and sometimes seems quite depleted. he often seems bored or uninterested (which isn’t always the case -- refer back to his flat affect) but he does have a hard time enjoying himself. this ties in a bit with his depression as well, which i didn’t mention in this post because, while it is a major disorder and matters greatly, people generally have a pretty good idea of what all it entails and how its symptoms most often affect individuals.

Hey! Sorry to bother but what item is that "Glass" from a couple of your reblogs? Is it the thingy you get when you beat [[Secret]] bosses? (sry forgot the name). Coz if that's the actual flavor text it seems like it seems it's "reflecting" Kris's insecurities/fears (fun face: i kinda hc that the whole Dark World thing is Kris's idea of escapism come to life which makes me think this)
there are two! one for each secret bonus boss. it also has another form! the Shadow Crystal you get from defeating each chapter’s secret boss becomes a Glass Shard in the overworld, similar to how all the characters in the Dark World are associated with regular everyday objects (like Lancer being a card, Seam is a stuffed toy, Queen is a computer).
the flavor text varies! when used in the Dark World, the Shadow Crystals show the area that you’re in as it looks in the overworld, ie the Spade Kingdom shows a glimpse of the unused classroom, the Cyber City shows the library computer room. the action can only be done once and is not repeatable, saying nothing else happens when trying to look through the crystal.
most interestingly tho is the flavor text you get from the Glass Shards in the overworld are more… personal? unsettling? in the Dark World, it implies you’re seeing the reality of where each fountain is. in the town tho, kris gazing through the crystal results in some things that i think indicate them seeing possible alternate versions of the world, including one where they might not exist.
others have pointed it out, but, consider. in undertale, with the secret Goner events, we learn that Gaster was “shattered across time and space”. “shattering” is usually associated with glass. then, those same Goner characters exist in Deltarune, a prominent one stands in the library. one Goner event has a figure that looks like monster kid says, “Have you ever thought about a world where everything is exactly the same… Except you don’t exist? Everything functions perfectly without you… Ha, ha… The thought terrifies me.”
now, when with susie in chapter two in town, looking through the glass has kris see her glaring at them. when alone, kris sees through their own hand. i believe the glass peeks into layers of reality, and kris is seeing both one where you’ve earned the ire of susie and one where kris themself is gone.
while i do believe kris has insecurities, and the likely goal of their adventure is to resolve some issue close to their heart, i also believe that due to the nature of the Shadow Crystals and how you need to get them that they are tied into the overarching meta-narrative, a lot of pieces connect with Gaster. Audio cues, phrases, characters. combine that also with how we now know from chapter two that it’s possible for the player to make some decisions that have harsh potential consequences for kris’s life.
i really believe the penalty for following weird route to the end, similar to how undertale permanently changes your pacifist ending for completing no mercy, is that you erase kris. so much narrative weight is playing with your role and how it overlaps with kris, how kris is at times defying you. weird route is dark, you have the power to destroy the personal bonds kris has with others. i believe there may be an eventual ending where the player completely overrides kris, and they may even be replaced by the very vessel you made at the start of the game.
and… that is so chilling.

Got another old hc sheet i wanna drop down here so i can get motivated to revise them. This time it's for Marx and Magolor
Marx
-Tends to like poetry and other pieces of philosophical or fictional literature. Last name is Tempora, mostly by Nova's insistence.
-Actually pretty intelligent, taught himself how to read and write at an early age. Can also speak different languages.
-Makes masks and theatre like props for fun or attacks (ex: the whole face splitting thing to reveal a blackhole is actually done with the masks)
-Seems to tolerate Bandana and Gooey enough to hang out with them on occasion.
-Also close friends with Noddy, having grown up in the same orphanage with them. Considers them like a sibling.
-Finds Magolor annoying but still tends to visit his ship for a chat. Magolor takes advantage of this to poke fun at him.
-Tsundere. Likely very tsundere.
-Dislikes Meta's constant stalking anytime he is near Kirby. Actually kind of scared of the knight.
-Knows how to dance due to growing up in taverns and bars to perform. Kirby sometimes asks him to teach him how.
-Gets flustered or angered easily.
-Drama sap.
-Considers Nova as a father figure.
-Hyperactive as a child, sometimes he would be called crazy but in reality he was just really energetic and filled with ideas. Now he is more on the "not sane" category due to the side effects of his wish.
-Very agile and skilled in magic and acrobatic ability. Wings help with speed and flight along with attack if used right.
-The same rainbowlike scales on his wings sometimes tend to appear on his body during combat.
-Has a clear distaste for being ordered around, would rather do his own thing or call the shots. Tends to get scolded by the other Dream Friends on occasion and ends up arguing with them. It doesn't get too heated unless it's with Dark Meta Knight or Susie. Wouldn't dare argue with Meta Knight.
-Hates incompetence. Whether of his teammates or of his enemies.
-Still trying to be better for Kirby. Fears he won't be helpful over the course of Star Allies.
-Had first returned to Popstar a year after Magolor had tried taking it over. By then Magolor was already through his redemption.
-Didn't die after the events of Milkyway Wishes, Nova took him in instead to fix the starship Marx crashed into. They end up traveling space for a few years and becoming close. By this time Marx isn't sure if he should go back to Popstar.
-He eventually returns once he hears Magolor (who he met in Nova's ship) tried to take over Popstar. It ends with a pissed off Marx ready to pound the Halcandran into the ground but instead of that, Kirby appears to be in the ship and causes Marx to back down.
-Relationship with Kirby is complicated. Atmosphere is usually awkward between them unless they're fighting together or such. Still has guilt from before and doesn't know how to talk to him on occasion.
-Both tend to bond over food. They raid the Lor Starcutter's food supply and fridge at least twice a month much to Magolor's distress.
-Can access his Soul form only through pure chaotic energy. If he is extremely emotionally unstable at a given time, he might start turning into his Soul form and become completely unhinged. This has happened a few times during his travels with Nova but he has since then learned to control it better.
-Used to be a performer of sorts when he was younger, a street magician. Often did tricks with cards and beach balls. Could also somewhat summon roses before gaining his current power.
-Also enjoyed pranking others for the fun of it and for seeing people's reactions. Being usually unsupervised due to lack of parenting, he seemed to be interested in what someone would do if he threw a few obstacles their way.
-Used to be extremely curious and excitable as a kid. Mischievous too.
-Often passionate over certain things he likes. Will defend then to death and dislikes any tease over those things or people he has a soft spot for (Noddy, Gooey, Bandana, Kirby)
-Likely knows how Shakespearean language works. Will use that to his advantage.
-Likely refuses to use a cellphone.
-Humor is pretty warped, but that's to be expected from a crazed magic jester.
-Would find horror movies boring as hell. Or funny.
-Don't flirt with him please he might have rabies.
-Insults whoever he is irritated with often. Jabs at Magolor constantly but the wizard usually jabs back, making for a worthy opponent.
-Keeps journals of random thoughts he has. Some have poems he's written while others have his days living on Nova's ship recorded.
-Tongue. Long. Pointy. Could stab.
-Yeah he has teal blood and blushes light teal.
-Dark Meta calls him "toothpaste blood" cause of this.
-Dark Meta often gets a kick to the face because of this.
-Gets along somewhat with other Dream Friends as long as he isn't provoked.
-In my canon at least, he is forced to fight as a boss in Smash Ultimate. Once recovered he regrets it a hell ton due to promising to not hurt Kirby again. Becomes angsty and withdrawn for a while despite Kirby's insistence that he had no choice and it wasn't his fault.
-Probably smells like roses. And bodypaint. Hair fluffy and kind of long. Usually has two poofy pigtails under hat.
Magolor
-Full name is Magolor Koronius.
-Belongs to a working class Halcandran family, initially left Halcandra to live a better life as his mother fell ill.
-The runt of the litter, the youngest and smallest of 6 children.
-Physically the weakest but magically the strongest.
-Part dragonlike and catlike variant, can purr and roar. Tends to hide his Halcandran attributes with his clothing.
-Grew a tail at teen age. Cut it off afterwards but it doesn't stop growing back. Eventually stops trying after the events of Return to Dreamland.
-Revolts against Halcandran hierarchy in his time there.
-Blood is orange colored and burning hot like magma. Most volcanic Halcandrans have burning blood that turns to stone once cooled down.
-Scales tend to get incredibly warm if he's agitated or unhappy. They grow itchy and uncomfortable until Gem Apple nectar is applied to soothe them.
-Interest in mechanics started at a young age, since he couldn't hunt he could assist in working at factories.
-Knows how to communicate with sphere doomers.
-Nicknamed "Eggy" by his older siblings, having been born from an egg due to complications.
-Was considered unfit to survive so he was sent off to an orphanage. He came back to his family after a few years and was taken back in after they see he was alive.
-Smartest one in the family. Knows how to read and write. Can speak Halcandran and Common Galactic (language in Popstar) while only some of his siblings can speak a small bit of common galactic.
-Scales get more heated than skin.
-Has fluffy fur on his chest and tip of tail.
-Very competitive. Highly so. He might even put himself in danger to be in first place.
-Gets along with most people. Friendly but can be withdrawn at moments.
-Permanent scars from using the Master Crown and being beaten include a broken horn, a large gash across his chest and slash marks on his arms.
-Remnants of dark energy from the crown enhance his powers slightly. He considers it a curse over a blessing however.
-Likely the guy to send stupid memes to the group chat at 3 am in the morning because sleep is for casuals.
-Takes gaming too seriously. Also competitive in this area.
-Fond of Kirby and his friends for letting him be back as their buddy. Lets them visit often. Has made a few amusement park attractions and has more blueprints for any yet to come. Constantly taking new ideas for courses and rides.
-Met Marx during his first time in the Lor. They communicated a bit and Magolor insisted to know more about Popstar. His plan to take over had formed since then.
-Refuses to leave the Lor unless it is required of him to do so.

Note
(For mun) Thank you for being a non-toxic Bellamort shipper. I love your blog, the way you respond to asks while staying true to the character, the different relationships you've developed with RP blogs, and the meta posts in your own voice. I know it's always going to be a safe space.
TBH, I've struggled a bit to find people to follow who love this pairing because a couple of the more prominent ones can be very rude to non-shippers, treat their headcanons like facts, and/or reblog TERFs and other radfem nonsense. I love Bellamort in all its angst and toxicity but could do without the metas that treat their master/slave relationship (where the master routinely punishes or humiliates the partner for disobedience) like it's wholesome and empowering. One of these bloggers routinely berates other fans for "misinterpreting" canon while doing massive mental gymnastics to align the characters with what they want them to be. They are also radfem-adjacent, reblog TERFs, and push the interpretation that Voldemort was a feminist.
Don't get me wrong. I absolutely adore the character and make excuses for him all the time. I read several Voldemort ships (and really enjoyed your OC Cassie and the way you interpreted V). But not only is there no support for the feminist reading in canon, the structure of his organization and implied pureblood natalism/eugenic cleansing flat-out contradict it. Or perhaps the person doesn't realize fascism and feminism are diametrically opposed in their politics? I wouldn't have an issue if they didn't treat their headcanons as gospel and didn't try to reconcile their politics with what they ship -- that way lies frustration and much brainsquinting -- but they berate others without realizing they sound like a poster on r/iamverysmart.
And they're not the only one who sounds this way; it's a communication style that I've seen on other non-RP blogs that post about V and B. Anyway, it's off-putting to the HP community and makes us look bad on the site. Most importantly, TERF, radfem and "kink critical" rhetoric is a blight on a fandom that already has a massive creator problem. We don't need the fandom exacerbating that problem and making others feel unwelcome.
Tumblr media
[[OOC: This ask has been sitting in my box for a couple of days, but I've been thinking about it a lot. Knowing that people see my blog as a safe place to go really means a lot - it is what I have always hoped I was building with this blog, and I am glad it is a reality. I also am thrilled that you actually took the time to look up my A03 when I had mentioned it, then read my fic, and now made a point to tell me how much you liked it! I cant get over how much that fills me with joy.
Fandom is one of the most amazing things that has ever happened to me, but at the same time, fandom can get...ruthless. People in fandom become attached to their headcanons, ideas, perceptions, and can get quite...combative. Especially the HP fandom right now, as we all grapple with and come to terms with the JKR nonsense.
(And to some degree, I can relate to that knee-jerk passion and defensiveness. When I was in high school, I actually was anti-bellamort and made excuses to hate her because I was jealous, lmaoooo.)
In terms of the Bellamort ship, it sounds like you have some issues with one blogger in particular. While that's unfortunate, it sounds like that individual is not going to change, and instead of engaging, trolling, or rage following, I do urge you to utilize the unfollow button with that blog.
(In terms of feminism, I personally feel as though pureblood society is inherently sexist because of its conservative values and traditions. I believe it is slowly evolving because of the shift in generations, and my personal HC is that Bella wormed her way into a fighting role and pioneered the way for female death eaters, and has influenced Voldemort's views on what women can and can not do for the better. Still, Bella also adheres to many of the strict rules of pureblood society; the importance of blood, the necessity of marriage, the family. I am sure she has some lingering conservative ideas regarding the role of women, as well.)
I believe everyone is welcome in fandom, and because of this, there is bound to be a variety of contradicting opinions. While no one has *the* number one opinion, (though I have my favorites and personal headcanons), it gets volatile when people see their thoughts as law and try to force their opinions, interpretations, and headcanons on others.
I've learned you cannot try to change other people. You can certainly let people know if they said something actually harmful (esp if they ask for criticism/input or seem to genuinely not know) and I also support engaging in a healthy exchange of ideas and banter, but ultimately, fandom only works if we treat differing opinions and one another with respect. This means unfollowing as needed, as in the case of TERF's.
Anyway, thank you so much for your ask, and your kind words about my blog, my voldy, and my fic. I hope you have a lovely new year. <3 ]]

Five Things that Probably Happened between Levi and Hange (An attempt to break down the romantic development between the two based on canon events and hints)
Just wanted to break down a slow burn, best friend to lovers relationship, through meta instead of through fanfiction based on how I’ve seen relationships develop between people who are too busy or inexperienced to know what is happening.
1. Although no one would generally be touchy in the military, one event may have made them realize it’s okay to at least be touchy between them.
The event most likely would have been an injury where one had to treat the other. The importance of this is that without much talking or relationship meta analysis (because they’re unaware fucks) both of them are able to realize that they are comfortable doing things together and they are completely comfortable touching. This event probably happened  before canon because Levi has shown to be pretty touchy to Hange already and he does bathe her.
2. They started sharing food, clothes etc.
This could still be considered canon if the jacket thing is real. Hange and Levi hang out in each other’s rooms to talk. It was mentioned in canon that Hange is Levi’s closest friend and when he’s sad he goes to her and probably it works the other way too. A lot of things would be left in each other’s rooms. Possibly the black jacket in season 2 is something Hange left behind in his room a while back because she’s scatterbrained and Levi decided to wear it after his injury. (coz u know they’re just friends)
3. They started to do remotely suggestive things as a joke.
I’m talking about Hange biting a cookie which is already in Levi’s mouth as a playful act and Levi’s crude humor developing into jokes about sex, particularly with Hange because he likes crude humor.
4. They started to realize they are all they have left.
Suddenly, they’re always together because publicly they’re both the most senior members of the survey corps so it’s only natural and privately they become each other’s emotional crutches especially without Moblit, Mike or Erwin there to mediate anything between them. Because of this everything goes into overdrive --- the touchiness, the clothes sharing and the suggestive jokes in between military discussions and conversations.
They are too unaware or too inexperienced to know what exactly this is and even when they do start to understand what is happening, their responsibilities take precedence.
5.  They started to understand what it was but they never confessed.
One day, this suddenly clicked. Maybe it started to click over a long period of time for both of them. They were both aware of the other’s feelings  but they were in doubt about what the other was thinking. Not wanting to break the vagueness of the relationship for fear of having to tackle the problem of whether or not it is appropriate, the two chose to remain silent.
When Levi gets injured and although Hange admits she would rather have lived there with him, I think that Hange’s position as commander stopped her from saying something more direct.
From experience, denial and delusion usually work because people do not say how they feel out loud. I’m sure most of us have experiences where we are particularly attracted to or are particularly annoyed by someone, but are able to delude ourselves into thinking it’s just a phase or a heat of the moment thing because we never say it out loud. The moment we write how we feel down or put it into words regardless of whether or not people see it, it becomes a reality and my HC is that that was what they were avoiding which explains the vagueness of their words and actions.
In this sense, Levi and Hange were both masters of delusion and the professional relationship and responsibilities which came with them made it so easy for those two to run away from the truth. Levi on his end, refused to interpret it as anything else but her being tired because he on his end, was working on his own delusion campaign.
So why did nothing too romantic happen in Chapter 132?
She would have destroyed that nice little delusion bubble for both of them and would she have been able to sacrifice her life? No she wouldn’t. If Hange knew that a life with Levi was waiting for her after the war, she would not have been able to sacrifice herself, and arguably, maybe the alliance would not have been able to escape. If Levi and Hange knew a happy life was waiting for them with the other, they probably would have actually considered living in the forest, as OOC as it would have seemed.
What makes the survey corp soldiers so effective as fighters and titan fodder is the fact that to a degree, they have accepted their deaths and part of accepting it is deluding oneself into thinking there is not much to live for beyond what the survey corps offers. I mean, Erwin thought about this too a lot, since he did have a history with Nile and Marie which he chose to give away when he joined the survey corps.
Because of that, I believe that Levi and Hange being the two longest survivors in the survey corps, were masters of delusion, that delusion that brought about the success of the survey corps and the tragedy of what could have been one of the best canon relationship developments of all time.

hero heart hc: (i call them heart as a shortening but they would consider their name to be Kirby)
they resemble a golden, ghostly form of Kirby. if this were a gijinkaverse, they would resemble the ghost of Bucciarati from Vento Aureo. (If others could see him, they would see a floating star, like what you see in-game.)
Heart is basically kirby in his purest, most undiluted form. Their pure essence, if you will.
Heart has kirby's general range of emotions, but tends to express them without any sort of concealment. If they're mad, they're mad. if they're happy, they're happy.
Heart has a higher level of maturity than the regular kirbies and in general appears to represent what kirby could become in the future, or at least the aspects kirby hides from others, negative and positive. (such as leadership, understanding, maturity, irritability, and the willingness to do what must be done.)
Heart does not need to eat, but the kirbies do, and if all of the kirbies die, Heart will too.
Heart's connection to the kirbies is obvious, but they are also powered by belief, as in, the belief that Kirby has in himself. If the kirbies were to stop believing in them, Heart would die, and the kirbies not long after.
Heart's experience after basically having to take care of 10 semi-strong toddlers in a very strong world and being re-formed together again after Kirby Mass Attack has left Kirby a more mature and confident individual in general, and is the main reason why Kirby himself leads the Star Allies in KSA, not Meta Knight or Dedede.
Heart is unable to physically touch anything other than the Kirbies, and as a result is capable of passing through solid matter, and flying freely. They can also physically carry the kirbies by having them latch on to them, but they'll tire after a short while of carrying them.
They are fiercely protective of the kirbies, and although they know that they and the kirbies are merely parts of a whole, they can't help but feel a sort of parental bond for the lot.
Any pain the Kirbies feel, Heart will feel 1/10th of in the same area.
No one but the Kirbies can see Heart except in very special conditions. They usually choose not to make themselves visible to anyone, but would allow Daroach to talk to them to get information on where to go next.
Heart possesses a wand similar to both the Love-Love Stick and the Star Rod that they use to guide the Kirbies. They call it the Heart Baton, and it is supposedly the source of Heart's power. In reality, it is merely a simple prop used to catch attention and help visualize Heart's power or guidance, much like a plastic wand toy, but the Kirbies don't know that.
They usually function by flying around and tossing Kirbies at a problem using the Heart Baton or carrying them across gaps. When guiding them, they'll use the baton to keep the Kirbies' attention on them.
Kirby has very foggy memories of Mass Attack, but most of said memories are from Heart.

get in we’re pondering / extrapolating some pt lore (there’s a tl;dr paragraph at the very end ;w;)
often musing about the overarching Theme/s in the series where there's like, these axes of, hope vs despair, self sacrifice (often to protect others) vs being protected by others (often to prevent self sacrifice), and i was thinking about how those protective self sacrifices (which often generally contain some aspect of hope And despair, the former in that someone is taking an action in the hopes of protecting someone, the latter in that they don't have any hope of any less (potentially) self destructive course to pursue to achieve that, or else they'd be doing that instead) do succeed at least in part. we don't really know what's going on with tutu in the story besides disappearing / turning into a point of light, but she exists outside of the story too and manifests in ways clearly associated with hope, & i think we can infer that her appearance/disappearance in the story did have this effect for mytho in giving him hope b/c like, how can it be a coincidence that the heart shard of Hope happens to be the one used to let someone become tutu, or that mytho was able to feel hope prior to technically have the capacity for it when thinking about her and then recognize as much in retrospect. and mytho himself sacrifices his own heart to protect everyone from the raven, rue sacrificing herself saves mytho from the raven in turn, and what i'm getting around to is that i was thinking about how sacrifices are never in vain, except for the knight's, but then i was like, well hey, what if because the rules of this story do seem to Always Reward tragic self sacrifices (surely at least in part to Incentivize it from the characters, b/c the sacrifices made wholly out of despair are apparently just people losing their hearts to the raven, f, and characters making sacrifices in the hopes of protecting someone have to actually have that hope at all), maybe the knight's death wasn't really Useless
and maybe it's relevant that the knight presumably wasn't intending to die right then, there's no implication that like, he was pushing the prince out of the way taking a bullet for him, just that the knight meant to attack the raven but didn't even manage to do that and got killed instead. but i think we can suppose that the knight was just always willing to die for the prince and there's this degree of inherent sacrifice in that already, as well as in being so devoted to the prince and protecting him, which the knight must've done plenty of even if, in the moment he was killed, there was no direct achievement in protecting mytho / siegfried / the prince. and i doubt that the way the prince felt about it was actually like "oh my god, useless" rather than that the knight did die For Him, even if mytho wasn't in immediate mortal danger that could've only been thwarted by the knight's death, and even if the knight presumably didn't Know he would die and actually choose that, because of accepting it as his only option to protect mytho. and it's evident throughout the series that characters being Real allows them to act in ways drosselmeyer doesn't predict or hasn't directed them to act or doesn't even necessarily know about, thinking of details like, mytho knowing his name is siegfried doesn't seem to come from any Text of drosselmeyer's in the story, or else people would know the prince has a name besides "the prince," and who knows, maybe drosselmeyer's unwritten hcs are part of the reality of his stories lol, but that's a fun mystery element, and beyond that these characters were all people with full lives and interiority that were not / could not have been written in full detail in the story's text and almost certainly weren't / couldn't have been Thought Out in full by drosselmeyer like that.
and i'm just thinking about how the knight is the only prominent character who outright dies in the unfinished story, aside from various, presumably not individually described/named people in the kingdom being killed by the raven, and possible details not mentioned in the series, like idk, whether or not mytho's parent/s died at some point in the course of the story. tutu's disappearance is too ambiguously magical to really call it a death, although it's a Tragic Fate intended to write her out of the story, and there's no indication of kraehe / the concept of The Raven's Daughter existing in the story, since in the first season kraehe is really fully standing in for the raven as the main villain / antagonist, with the raven not being shown or mentioned by her until the second season, and fakir just directly referring to kraehe as a crow or raven during that first season, and what with the idea in the second season that rue was just some random person the raven stole and presumably made up the concept of there being a [the raven's daughter] role.
(even though when kraehe appears in season one it's clearly a swan lake / odile thing, and i guess you could conceivably wonder like "hey, is she the daughter of some rothbart equivalent here. like the story raven as the primary antagonist"....that's all Meta beyond the series's metatextual layers and, since idk, characters know of these other classic ballets, i guess it's possible swan lake as a ballet exists too. nobody's mentioning anything though lol. now i'm like.....okay so another tchaikovsky composed ballet was relevant / known in the sleeping beauty episode, where electricity was also a thing people were aware existed, if rare, not sure when this series was set but late 19th century seems plausible enough and swan lake wasn't immediately popular so maybe it exists but is too niche lore for these characters to be familiar with it lmao.....but then i'm like wait hang on. what if it must be after 1892 because the dance of the sugarplum fairy playing when ahiru walks in on mytho practicing seems to be diagetic. and then i'm like, nijinksy was only born in 1890, and didn't perform afternoon of a faun until 1912, and that seems just a little late, although at the same time everyone's existing in a fairy tale town and it could feasibly be any point in time outside of that. this tangent is going on way too long and my Real Conclusion of course is that we're not really meant to match up any timeline with the In Real Life timelines of when ballets premiered and became popular / established as Classics)
back to the point: out of the four main roles, tutu magically and mysteriously disappeared but didn't outright die the way that the human knight was definitely killed, and the duck who is given her powers / role is apparently truly just some random duck who happened to care for mytho (thinking about his apparent affinity for birds and theirs for him), kraehe was probably not a part of the story at all as the daughter of the raven and rue is apparently just some random baby who was kidnapped, mytho didn't die because he's the same self he was from the story, uninterrupted, and the knight did die, and fakir is just some kid but is also apparently identified as the reincarnation of that knight. and, whether or not that's just some coincidence or meant to be true, it's true for all intents and purposes since fakir found mytho and chose to devote himself to protecting him and is aware of / thinks of himself as the knight, and if the raven and drosselmeyer could've picked some random babies and ducks to have roles in the story, it shouldn't actually be a detriment to fakir if he's actually also just some guy who chose to be the knight rather than also actually already that knight reincarnated. the roles of both tutu and lohengrin are supposed to be intrinsically limited by their same roles as written in the story, where clearly drosselmeyer, wanting conflict and drama and peak effective tragedy, and kraehe / the raven as antagonists to these two, expect and want tutu to willingly vanish again and the knight to wield his sword and, at some point here, die. which, in season one, it seems likely enough that although fakir wasn't exactly instantly torn apart by the raven attack that Got him, he would've died if not for edel's intervention altering the story. anyway, assuming the roles comes from Choosing it / being willing to accept it and having some sort of magical artifact access out here, ahiru having a heart shard, rue having...raven blood and the fact that there's also the like, actual ravens out there who are Also magic b/c they're doing evil stuff, and turning into cursed pointe shoes and attacking canaries so the prince might jump out a window to save one, and fakir having magic swords. as well as, you know, the prince, the most magic artifact of all, truly
i'm kind of losing the point there lmfao just getting into details in a tangent. what i was trying to point out is that yeah, the knight's the only one of the four main roles who was clearly, officially, violently killed in the story. and then i was thinking about how, as far as i can think, it kind of comes totally out of nowhere in season two that like, oh hey, also fakir is a descendent of drosselmeyer's and i guess has that same magic writing ability. not that i think these season two framework shifts like That, or like kraehe being the daughter of the raven instead of just directly standing in for the raven as a concept and character, or like "oh right and also i'd poisoned mytho back in the season one finale" weren't possibly in mind the whole time, Or that if they weren't that's a problem, Or that either way, they needed to be foreshadowed / set up Textually in season one or anything, since you do need to change things up for there to Be a season two that doesn't have to retread the conflicts in the same way, and that's what these shifts allow for. it's still just that the effect is like, oh damn, fakir isn't just The Knight from the story reincarnated, he ALSO happens to have drosselmeyer's magic powers b/c they're related??? wow what a coincidence, that's so lucky for him in affording him Magic Powers that don't come from the story b/c if he wields the power of being the knight he Has to inevitably die, and while the power to write reality is clearly dangerous and Could kill him (or others), there's at least a chance, whereas it seems like otherwise, if you're accessing the powers that come with having a role from the story, you either have to accept the same fate as in the story, someone with the power of those who guide the story, e.g. edel, must externally alter its course, or you have to give up the role and its powers, like ahiru ultimately did by giving up the final piece of mytho's heart, and fakir did by no longer trying to be the knight and instead protecting everyone by figuring out how to wield his power to Write.
so then basically my thought was, hey, maybe it's Not *just* a coincidence that fakir's Also drosselmeyer's descendent. in the same way that it's not Just a coincidence that the original tutu, having made this sacrifice in the story, is somehow, in part or in whole, attached to the prince's feeling of hope, and able to manifest even once that piece of the prince's heart has been returned and ahiru no longer "officially" has access to tutu's role and power (whether that power is gone b/c her powers were all about returning the prince's heart shards or because the powers she had were the prince's, because of having a piece of his heart). there's already these parallels between the roles of this tragic princess and the knight, both fated to disappear and die, respectively, and the story rewards these noble sacrifices even as it demands them b/c the author loves tragedy, b/c drosselmeyer's also trying to work within some conventions here to have a cohesive story and to allow enough hope in the story to motivate the characters and give everything enough stakes to really be effectively tragic (although he was also apparently writing characters who'd appear and then forever disappear on the same page, so. all to a degree lol). and yet the story and the people in it can also operate outside of drosselmeyer's Intent and Control and even knowledge of what all is a factor in everything going on, because that's part of his power, the stories and their characters become people who are real in the same way that people not from the story are real, and there's elements of who they were and are and can be that drosselmeyer didn't write. rue wasn't meant to sacrifice herself, edel / uzura wasn't meant to help the characters avoid tragedy, ahiru was meant to be powerless as a duck (and a regular girl), fakir was meant to be powerless or die, tbh mytho was probably meant to prevail in the end but also maybe drosselmeyer wouldn't've minded if the raven won And Also definitely wouldn't've minded if mytho going "well fuck this, i'll take out my heart again, regain it, kill you that time, then also kill myself" had been seen through which would've been decidedly ultimately tragic even if the prince also "won," and/or if the prince just kept getting stuck in these stalemates and having to shatter & regain his heart in an eternal loop (thinking of how mytho sure managed to like, phase Inside the raven magically via giant swan made of light (see: my theory that although that's very [tutu] visuals, tutu is also kinda Hope Embodied in this series, and we don't quite know whether original tutu's magic powers were different from the prince's magic abilities, or how, and i like to believe that mytho Can also manifest as a giant swan made of light) which was apparently only an option after he not only regained the capacity to feel hope but kinda had an actual feeling of hope kickstarted by ahiru, who's been and continues tapping into tutu's power as being so associated with / tied to Hope as a concept in general, so he presumably couldn't've done that move otherwise).
SO we're really meandering around here, by which i mean that i am, but so it goes. my point is!!! with All That in mind, and again reiterating how i opened that last paragraph before getting a little off track as always, i was thinking that it might not be Just A Coincidence that fakir is both the reincarnation of the knight / takes on the role of the knight, AND has drosselmeyer's magic writing powers in this completely separate matter of genealogy. (also, i'm sorry, but total tangent again: i'm not 100% on the timeline of things, but i'm like, okay, the raven comes into the real world, and the prince follows it, and then we know that this real world town had like, these killer raven attacks that could disappear an infant or kill a kid's parents. and i think we can suppose that rue and fakir happen to be pretty much the same age, and rue was kidnapped as a baby, so the raven was definitely around then, and fakir's parents were killed when he was like, a young kid but definitely not a baby or even a toddler, and rue was also running around and able to dance and only knew herself as kraehe until meeting mytho and wanting to give herself another name as just a human. so like....i'm bad at estimating ages but like, what, they're at least 5 when they meet mytho? maybe more like 6 or 7. the point is, so there were raven attacks for actual Years before the prince shattered his heart? and maybe mytho was fighting the raven in that perpetual stalemate for all those years, but probably he would've aged those several years if he existed outside the story's [Paused In Time] situation but still had his heart, since it's presumably his having Lost his heart that means he has no pulse and doesn't age and, you know, has lost his memories and emotions. and if we say it was like, at least 4 years or something, and mytho's like, ambiguously sort of Older Teen, say 16 or 17, idk (he's a baby still ;m; but also a fairytale prince, so) and you supposed he aged while out of the story And that he was out of the story and fighting the raven those several years before giving up his heart, that'd mean that when the book left off, he was locked in this deadly battle for the kingdom with the main villain as like, circa 11 years old or what have you. not outside the realm of fiction or fairytales, but still....but more so than that, idk, you'd think if there was this magic storybook prince around fighting the raven/s for years, full hearted and thus with his memories / sense of self intact, people would've been as aware of his presence as that of these killer ravens, and like, actually know who he is, as siegfried, and prior to there being this guy, mytho, who only fakir and co. and rue, out of anyone else in town, realize is actually this prince from a story that exists as a storybook in their world. which, i Guess it's possible that mytho was around outside the story for years before shattering his heart to seal the raven away, but also, seems like maybe instead it was years before he followed the raven out of the story and then once he did he pretty much immediately sacrificed his heart? not that the All Realities Narrator mentions a gap between the raven escaping the story and the prince chasing after it, but a) they also didn't specifically say that this didn't happen and b) maybe it was just some like, issue of jumping between dimensions basically, i.e. from the perspective of mytho in the story he did follow the raven out immediately, only to find that from the perspective of this other world, the raven had been an issue for years and c) maybe this difference in time was so that mytho would be dropped into more of an equivalent situation as he was in back in the story, where the raven had Also already been a problem for years in that story's universe, before the point where drosselmeyer has died and the story is left off unfinished. so here's mytho now entering this other reality, where even though he himself has just shown up after having battling the raven for years In Story (and then in stasis because the story was not able to progress in its own world), and is having to choose to protect these people who have not Just been introduced to the raven's attacks, but have been dealing with it for years as something that can and has killed people, just as was the case with the townspeople back in the world of the story.)
okay i apologize to the readers and to myself, no more tangents: what if!!!! it's not a fortunate coincidence that fakir has access to the powers of the separate roles of "the knight from the story" and "drosselmeyer's descendent in this world"!!!! What If!!!!!!!!! the knight's death, rather than being truly "useless," actually still counted as a sacrifice made in the hope of protecting others, and was thusly rewarded with some form of success, as other such sacrifices are rewarded both in the story of prinz und rabe, but also in the overall story of this series, aka princess tutu, although clearly in the end the Happy Ending comes from not only these sacrifices but the characters all protecting each other so that these ultimate self sacrifices don't need to be made (thinking of how often characters talk about wanting to protect each other, fakir being motivated to try Writing again after realizing all these other characters are doing their best to protect him, mytho saying he won't Give Up Again to ahiru (also tutu....just standing here staring at the wall like blair witch style that he never seems to have known that the duck was not only the version of tutu he'd been encountering but also ahiru who he was like "hey bestie :)" to in ep 14 before getting ko'd and never knowingly talking to her again haha scream that's just. that's fine!!! anyway rue could tell him but then again like, a little late. UNLESS they can just come back and visit?? i have some sense that there might have once been plans to make a season three for the series if possible way back in the day, yknow, when said series was being released, but i only "remember" this from Maybe someone's post from that 15th anniversary event and maybe, jonathan frakes voice, it never happened) referring to his intent to sacrifice his heart again as being that "giving up"......THE POINT BEING. maybe the knight's death was a sacrifice, and according the role that such sacrifices have, that sacrifice had some positive, helpful, protecting effect, and in this case, it was that the knight's reincarnation had these Other powers as well beyond the knight's role in the story, so that this knight could do more but protect mytho some but ultimately die in the effort with that death Supposedly being for nothing, aka the fact that fakir is related to drosselmeyer is thanks to lohengrin sacrificing himself to protect mytho, even if the circumstances of his death did not appear to, and were not intended by drosselmeyer to, have any direct benefit for anyone. did the knight somehow have conscious influence over his own reincarnation, or was it more like, these superhuman forces Rewarding the sacrifice / affording the knight this new chance at fate? could be either i guess!! (and was fakir born when the raven entered that world, or prior? he was as old as he was when he met mytho, had mytho Just shown up or did he really arrive just after the raven and had been fighting all the time and it's just that, for whatever reason, nobody else knew he was there? or they did, but once the raven was sealed away, maybe other people Forgot what had happened prior too, re: the prince and the Monster Raven anyways? since while people had known about the like, regular bird form ravens who killed people, nobody mentioned the big german abstract expressionism sky blocking raven who ate hearts.....and not like there wasn't people dying back in the story despite the prince's efforts (though that was related as well to like, people Definitely knowing the prince existed, and Despairing b/c he was so epic, actually) i don't know, it could be Either Way, i'm just wondering like, was fakir born prior to a character from The Story entering that world, or after? i feel like Maybe some timeline details might've been mentioned re: when the ravens showed up, but i don't remember. although i guess it's not impossible re: this theory that he was born beforehand but is still definitely the knight, and as i type this, i remember the whole "he's always had the birthmarks that identified him as the reincarnation of the knight" element, so it's Already True that whenever he was born, that was the case, aaand also i'm remembering that lohengrin died before where the story left off, and in that story's universe, idk, maybe years passed....and i Just was talking about how maybe the timelines / passage of time are not parallel and Aligned 1:1 between worlds here, so. point is! however it shakes out, lohengrin died for all intents and purposes Before fakir was born, who Is the knight whether or not he's really lohengrin's reincarnation, which he Could be, because lohengrin Was a human who Did die. so!!!!! (it's 6am....i've been writing this for hours lol. i prommy my thoughts would've been a Little more in order otherwise. possibly)
TL;DR: what if, rather than the knight's death being "useless" and his failing to protect the prince through being killed, it still counted as a sacrifice to protect mytho, and when you consider how this Theme of sacrifice is handled throughout the series, it would be in line with everything else if this sacrifice was rewarded even if the text of prinz und rabe / drosselmeyer did not consider this / recognize this to be a "successful" act of self sacrifice to protect the prince, and that reward was the knight's reincarnation Also being a descendent of drosselmeyer with a power that would allow him to protect people without being held to the knight's fate of being killed, rather than it being a complete unrelated coincidence that fakir is the knight And a person who just so happens to have the ability to write reality, thanks to being in the same family as drosselmeyer. what if lohengrin's sacrifice let him escape his own fate down the line and this time "successfully" protect the prince without having to die before the story finishes! it wouldn't change anything in the story as we know it and i think it'd be Thematically Resonant.
#that's#princess tutu#not playable trailer (2014) or part time (job)#''time to sit down and write probably a good handful of extensive paragraphs abt this for a little while. say an hour at most!!''#[smash cut to me typing these tags hours later. it's 6:30am. the sun is up. head in hands]#never know when it's time to think and post about this again#also i only remember so much of The Canon Lore so if there's info i missed here and mused about yknow. feel free to chime in#love how this series has so many quick / fleeting / One Time / vague / ambiguous mentions of pieces of information#so there's plenty of threads that are really intriguing and you're given enough glimpses to piece some other pictures together if you want#but nothing is really established with tons of certainty / precise in depth clarity in canon which gives you plenty of room to Interpret and#Extrapolate as we are doing here all the time#for example: lohengrin (Presumably the knight but! we don't even Know that 100% lol) was mytho's boyfriend. pensive#not to kin drosselmeyer but first of all: consider the drama of that :/ he did die tragically :/#second of all why not. third of all: see the mentions about tutu and the knight having these parallel roles in the story and beyond it...#and third point fifth of all well clearly tutu was his magical gf spirit of dance hope embodiment...#fourth of all idk the story's all ''look any and everyone is in love with the prince. it's kind of a problem actually'' lmao#not the first person to die by the raven monster for being too in love with the guy!! apparently!#mytho's gotta end up with someone completely Not From the story b/c his other dates in the story die or vanish :/#haha but seriously. and he can turn into a giant swan at will if his ability to feel Hope is all fired up. haha but seriously#well anyway! the point is this#everyone is always like ''wow the cringe and fail knight. way to die Uselessly 9_9'' about said knight#but what if! his death actually had this power and had a helpful; successfully protective impact on the story in a way no one was aware of#sorry for taking 10 paragraphs to say as much in there. w/the last several getting extra long....it is My Way#i am [epcot ball vine voice Mytho...] about pt lore lmao but i can still ponder other things. he's connected to all the others! bless him
