This might be a dumb question, but mind explaining why meta ends up changing from his anime design to his modern one?

Oh, no problem... I've been dying to explain this, so it's perfect timing with the question. The gradual change in his armor starts after (the Knightmare's end), the first thing that changes starts with his pauldrons. That was completely shattered at the end of the arc (how or why can't I say it just yet I really need to get back to writing it...)

In the KBASW (AU), I lean into Arthurian lore (a lot) here, and Meta Knight is our Mordred. And his design, in general, is meant to show his growth and eventually becoming the leader of the GSA. Adding more purples and golds... this is due to the people he's closest to.

Purple: (Kirby's influence/relationship)

Kirby, of course, being red, is the dominant cause & reason for his change. Not being able to let go or forgive himself for the past (representative of his blue). He's able to accept and move on with Kirby, understanding he can't truly love and care for Kirby if he doesn't love himself first. He lets' his walls down and let's & allows himself to be loved and enjoy life again, finally able to let go of his guilt and his team (Halbred).

He kept away from Kirby due to not being able to save his team and also for not being able to be there for Kirby due to his corruption. A mistake he allowed to happen. In an attempt to keep the remaining team members alive (as well as going berserk after Jerca's Death), he turned to "dark magic... Nightmare's magic," Which (without spoiling anything...) gave Nightmare an opening to get him. And MK bore immense guilt for doing that... He wasn't able to save anyone (which led him to have to stay away from Kirby), finally seeing himself as a monster... he finally removed the blue cape due to Kirby.

Not only that but it's also meant to show Kirby & Meta Knight sharing the same dream. With Meta Knight honoring the past but being moving forward. Mixing his blues with Kirby's red, thus creating his current purple, is the main support of Kirby's group, Star Allies (which is meant to mirror Meta Knight's OG group, Star Allies.) Sharing the desire to make the galaxy a more safe & accepting place for everyone.

Gold: (Arthur's influence/relationship)

Arthur was not only his father figure but his savior... very much idolizing him. Similar to Jon's snow/ and the reference to Mordred. He was seen as an illegitimate (Arthur's) child or, in this case, Arthur's demon child. Arthur protected Meta Knight fiercely...but, as the philosophy goes, "Prepare your child, not protect them..." And tried his best to shield him from the cruelty of the world.

Very much trying to tell him he was no different than nobody else... and tried to instill hope as long as he worked hard enough: "One day he can be a hero too..." Which was a dream that was dashed after Meta Knight got rejected into joining the elites, and they had their falling out. It seemed like everything Sir Arthur had told him was a lie... A white lie that (what else was he lying about...) and doubted their relationship, feeling he was ashamed of him...

But despite all this, Meta is still a part of that kept that little hope in life. Not only keeping his knightly honor & code but all the morals that Sir Arthur taught him. Out of love and loyalty for Arthur... and Sir Arthur still loved & believed him too...

They do makeup with each other after the events of Falspar being branded "the fool." But it was mostly Arthur apologizing... and Meta Knight accepting it... But Meta Knight doesn't truly understand the extent of his love after Arthur goes M.I.A... Despite the fallout, Arthur had continued to look after Meta... secretly being the one to cover Team Halbred's tracks... and was the one that made sure Icarus upheld his promise to Meta Knight... he was still there despite it all. (And like with Kirby), he was initially afraid to admit his corruption to Arthur when he saw him again in person...

But of course, had nothing to about worry ... because, to Arthur, He still shined like gold... (as he always did to him)

So Arthurs' gold represents Meta Knight, representing "the worthiness" he has as a person. The unconditional love that is always there & that you always deserve it. For all his failures, mistakes, and regrets... he was still a worthy king!~

His arch of acceptance and self-love only when Meta Knight completes his journey and when he can take his rightful place as the leader of GSA... and yes, I made Meta Knight's iconic "Get It Sword" into a "sword in the stone reference."

And I'm so glad you enjoyed his future design so much, I'm reworking the emblem on his. It's so supposed to be a deconstructed "M" for Meta Knight as well as a nod to Arthur's emblem.

Not only that, but the slashes are meant to be a reference to sword beam slashes I tried to indicate that with the armor design as well. I really wanted to emphasis the connection with Kirby & Arthur's character to Meta Knight.

I also did this thought process with future Arthur's design, with him donning greens & orange, which is meant to represent (green- Meta Knight & orange -Kirby) when their respective colors mix.

Thank you so much for your questions, you really did have the best timing... I was planning to do this post for a while. And to my other readers, thank you for reading this long explanation. No doubt there's a grammatical error somewhere... but regardless, thank you for riding this wave with me.

Where is dark meta knight in this au?

When planning out Dark Meta Knight, I wanted to give him a proper reason to join "Star Allies..." It never sat right with me; there needed to be a better reason, not only that I wanted to make him integral to Meta Knight's character growth...And his character intertwined with Shadow Kirby... so he'll be mentioned as well.

KBASW'S Meta Knight (sealed his power) before the events of the anime (the reason why he can't fly), so guess who had his power sealed up as well... Dark Meta Knight. He wasn't simply sealing off his power this was a "painful experience." And he is absolutely pissed... BEING ASHAMED OF THE RAW GODLY POWER HE POSSES. Like Meta Knight... Dark Meta Knight couldn't use his magic or wings for YEARS, gutted that he had to endure these years of suffering.

(DMK very much serves as an unexpected consequence of MK locking away his powers...)

Shortly after (the events of Knightmare's End), Dark Meta Knight decided that he wanted to permanently separate from his counterpart. He didn't want his actions to be dictated by his weak reflection. He is very much obsessed with becoming the real one & becoming his own person instead of his reflection.

He can't trust Meta Knight...HE HATES BEING A REFLECTION IN GENERAL! His actions will always be dependent on him, and he must separate himself from Meta Knight. (It was at this point Dark developed a bad habit of blaming MK for everything negative thing that happened to him.

(I kinda mixed "The Amazing Mirror & Tripple Delux" plot lines together in this both are happening at the same time)

Of course, Dark Meta Knight is thwarted, but Meta Knight genuinely feels guilty for putting his mirror counterpart through the same pain he endured. This whole incident makes Meta Knight realize how little he values & takes of himself. (Basically, that's his lesson for his arc. via mirror reflection...)

Dark Meta Knight, however, isn't done in the story.... during this whole debacle, he doesn't take into account someone really important: Shadow Kirby.

Despite all of this... Dark Meta Knight actually has a deep care for Shadow Kirby. However, in a very tough love type of way and unlike Meta Knight, who learns to put his walls down & isn't afraid to show a more vulnerable & affectionate side to him... Dark Meta Knight just can't put his pride & ego aside. (SK & DMK's relationship is similar to that of Rick & Morty.)

This is why Shadow Kirby assists Kirby in helping stop Dark Meta Knight (because he didn't want Dark Meta Knight to leave him... </3). However, this does lead the Dark Meta Knight to lash out at Shadow Kirby and blame him for not being able to leave the Mirror World resulting in him ignoring Shadow Kirby...

Failing to see the bigger picture, Shadow Kirby just didn't want to be "ABANDONED!" (This was what he was basically doing, selfishly not realizing all the people he was going to leave behind for power & independence...)

Resulting in Dark Meta Knight conjuring a colossal mistake all his own, no one to blame but himself...I'm not ready to reveal Shadow Kirby's characterization just yet, but unfortunately for Dark... Shadow isn't as forgiving as Kirby. And plays right into Morgan's hands... helping comfort the lonely and vulnerable Shadow.

But even when Dark runs to save Shadow, it's far too late...

And this will be the last time Dark Meta Knight sees Shadow Kirby the way he is now...

Morgan's the one warped Shadow Kirby's body to its current state... basically to his current design... (first said here). At this point, you can probably understand why Dark Meta Knight is more than willing to join Star Allies...

He's pretty much a blank canvas, AND THAT"S WHY WE LOVE HIM!

He is such a legend less than five minutes of screen time and he managed to caputure the hearts of so many. LMAO, I honestly love the man because he opened the floodgates for the other three.

The fact that he is supposed to be a reference to "King Arthur" served as a roadmap to give the other personality.

Honestly, this man is the prime example of why I love the Kirby anime fandom. The main four are known throughout the Kirby game fandom (Sir Arthur Falspar, Dragato, and Nonsurat). It's because the Kirby anime fandom cared so much about these guys that the game community knows them. Eventually, everyone went out of their way to give them all established personalities. (I can also say this about Jerca & Garlude too~)

Now, back to Sir Arthur:

All that is implied is that he is the leader of the GSA, nothing else... so he can be a good leader, a morally grey, or just a secret tyrant altogether. He's such a moldable man who can fit any narrative you want to put him in a Kirby Au... which is also can be said about the OG Arthurian legend.

The only reason Arthurian legend managed to stand the test of time is because of the incredible retellings of the story itself. And it's due to the main man himself "King Arthur" being able to be broken down numerous different ways!

The main reason his story managed to cut through the test of time... and now is referenced and used to help characterize a green orb for an anime based on the game LMAO. So, in a way, his original counterpart (King Arthur) was always moldable... just like him.

He could be:

A well-meaning, naive king who foolishly let his kingdom fall to ruin (due to his own too-good nature),... an ambitious king who tried to live up to his prophecy only to become crueler & arrogant along the way and became a villain... or a king who lost his spark through age and his luck ran out... (there's a lot)

As well as this, Sir Arthur... There are so many shades of Sir Arthur in the fandom it's ridiculously incredible. He is basically the wild card of the fandom, and we can manipulate him in any way possible! Just like the Arthurian legend itself (King Arthur).

Even though we were given so little to work with... scraps of bread crumbs even. This is why the Kirby fandom amazes me... the fandom still manages to forge whole loaves of bread with what we had to work with.

So, in summary...He can be used to make, complement & complete any Kirby AU sandwich. Whether it's a spice, savory, sweet sandwich, he fits it all. Though we (the fandom) were given little...

We take what little breadcrumbs we are given... AND BAKE BREAD WITH them!

Needless to say, I'm very passionate about this topic. (I kept relating this man to bread, LMAO) Thank you for bringing up this topic! And giving me an excuse to talk about Sir Arthur. We love our little Wart... <3

Morgan Le Fay Conductor of Chaos

If anyone's wondering how she got the crystal shard (here is the background), to make a long story short:

KBASW follows the bad ending of Kirby and the Crystal Shard: Kirby and the gang just miss one shard. And guess who finds it, Morgan, and uses it to capture Dark Matter, using him as a living sponge to gather up Dark Matter energy to power up the Jamaba.

Which she hucked over to Hyness' yard a while ago~

This is the continuation of that, while she was able to dominate & essentially become more dark matter. She didn't know if it was the magic or something else. It was more than that, for it was almost a freedom for her... allowing herself to be selfish. She was liberated, and she was not going to dedicate her life to someone or any other person... ever again!

And that's how Dame Morgan became Morgan Le Fay. It's a very triumphant moment of self-discovery for her and a big "Holy cats, we've messed up big time!" on Kirby and the friend.

Morgan very much follows the lore of the mischievous kitsunes, where they like to trick humans. Similar to the lore of the kitsune, Morgan often targets selfish, greedy, and arrogant people.

People who are most definitely going to say yes to her deal (taking their negative emotions to power up the Jamba Heart.) But she also does this to the innocent/ people who don't deserve to be tricked... people who are at

She can never truly hide this form, so when she uses powers in general... purple fox ghost tails (the ones you normally see on her) appear... When she takes on her demonic forms, her tails actually become solidified/real. Oh, and of course, she got fluffy ears and a tail. (About the lore of Kitsune having their tails be the only thing they can hide when shapeshifting) Speaking of shapeshifting, she can, but only with the people she's made a deal with... (this will come into play later!)

What brought about this was when I did Arthur's Dragon form, I knew I just had to continue! But I kept having trouble with her design, and then I remembered we had "Animal Kirby." (Thank you, I remembered) There were a lot of revisions and changes to her design, but I'm so pleased with the final design.

Love your older MK design. The horn choice is A+. But I'm actually curious about older Kirby! His horn choice is also A+, and whiskers. Whiskers are a good idea. :D What is he like. How is Kirby doing in older MK's verse? That whole idea is extremely neat. :3

Kirby really reacts in the opposite way Meta Knight does upon finding out who he truly is. He'll eventually learn to accept himself again, but it takes a while. The other Kirby never has to deal with any of this.

Basically, this is just part two of Misguided, and part one

If anyone wondering where Uther's crystals went... Arthur's magic made them disappear. Of all the people in the oc tournament... I feel like Arthur would be the only one to make him feel genuinely guilty.

And basically, emotionally torcher him in that special way! (LMAO) I really wanted to touch on the father aspect of Uther in this. While he's willing to admit Uther (this version) does have a genuine love for his son... the whole treating him as an extension of yourself BIG NO!

Despite the fear factor... Arthur truly giving him a warning... and hey, even if he doesn't change or lessen the damage... So basically Arthur's making him experience the last moments of his Uther existence... and well he's gonna have a really bad time~

And hopefully, learn something...

And to answer your question, Arthur's power is based on Gojo's domain expansion (Jujutsu Kaisen)… short clip: (to save me from fumbling explanation)

Uther had unknowingly entered his space. Arthur gushed over Celestine but was misdirected… he entered a domain of Arthur's domain without even knowing it. He said the most nauseating & loving mush he could think of ( things he truly believes, LMAO) to catch him off guard.

That's why the red haze was there; it wasn't just him silently being mad, but he had entered his space. (It was when he was flabbergasted when he found out that Arthur was King of Avalon & him being with Celestine.)

And Arthur is the king of Avalon he has access to the magic of the entire realm of magic... I think I would have more than enough just to restrain him with the vines... long enough besides, he does plan to really fight him just teach him a lesson.

And this Arthur is very much a different beast... While being a person of strength at his core... he's also a person of intellect. If he can beat an opponent by outwitting him, he can... and he knows very well this Uther runs on emotions. He knows he can play mind games...

So that's why he brings up his son (his version of Arthur...) in this one. Things that can't help but pull Uther's attention on... (using his affection for his son and guilt against him.) Basically, he's dealing verbal punches & roundhouses to Uther instead of magical blows.

The senses are meant to flash by entirely quickly; one whole memory could last for hours, but it can zoom by seconds. This is due to the fact it operates similarly to Gojo's domain expansion

Though sorry, I didn't know about the crystals being connected to his soul (I gotta refresh myself on the lore, sorry). The domain was to negate the power of the crystal canceling... and have them vanish (Do worry, I'll stick'em back on! LMAO)

Basically, this is just part two of Misguided, and part one

If anyone wondering where Uther's crystals went... Arthur's magic made them disappear. Of all the people in the oc tournament... I feel like Arthur would be the only one to make him feel genuinely guilty.

And basically, emotionally torcher him in that special way! (LMAO) I really wanted to touch on the father aspect of Uther in this. While he's willing to admit Uther (this version) does have a genuine love for his son... the whole treating him as an extension of yourself BIG NO!

Despite the fear factor... Arthur truly giving him a warning... and hey, even if he doesn't change or lessen the damage... So basically Arthur's making him experience the last moments of his Uther existence... and well he's gonna have a really bad time~

And hopefully, learn something...

But anyway, once again!
