i love this analysis! if i can add onto it a little bit to answer your question about what the purpose of the parallels is, i would say there's a lot of room for interpretation but my particular reading of it is that viktor and mel ultimately converge not with jayce as the center that cannot hold between them but with ambessa as their centerpoint.

throughout the whole show viktor and mel dance around the question of what is ethically the best way to help people maybe more than any other characters. there are other characters who also believe in helping or who are chasing ideals about how to improve the conditions for zaun specifically, but they are more certain in their undertakings. ekko doesn't waver on whether or not the firelights are doing the right thing, silco is a fervent revolutionary nationalist, sevika selects who to ally with based on her core principles about who would be the best to liberate zaun. ekko and silco particularly are at ideological odds about how cast off piltover's hold over zaun, but the show doesn't present them as counterbalancing points or even as two people who are imbricated with one another because of their beliefs. they represent two mostly unmoving worldviews.

by comparison, mel and viktor are constantly made to face the limits of their ideological positions.

in s1 act i viktor says that scientists seek to improve lives and to make the world a better place. this is kind of true in that it is one way scientists can operate but we also know that there are plenty of scientists who don't operate that way (singed) and we also know that science itself is a political undertaking regardless of how idealistic one may or may not be about it. s1 viktor wanted to make the world a better place, but his work for a long time largely fuels the class interests of the piltovan council and materially further destroys zaun. this isn't his fault for being an idealist. he is disempowered in piltover, he's disabled, he's dying, and even his dying/his attempt to avoid dying highlights a kind of politics about medical science and who gets access to it and who gets to choose what happens to their body and how it is tended to and cared for. were piltover not the extractive force that it is and had it not devastated zaun with chemical waste for years (two things only made possible by deploying technology and science!) and had it not essentially set up an obvious system of ethnic segregation, maybe viktor's condition might not have deteriorated to the point of terminal desperation. maybe sky would still be alive

this is like....at its most obvious when viktor's in his hex cocoon coma (which like in real world terms would be an actual violation of a DNR request – so again. the scientific power to arbitrate life and death is a political one) while his life's work gets co-opted to create weapons.

science is a political undertaking no matter which way you look at it

mel on the other hand believes and behaves as if the world is a political chess game that she can win if she maneuvers herself well enough and that politics can always function as the high road and higher power to all other inter/national machinations. her flashback makes this pretty clear when she repeats what kino told her, that war is a failure of (and therefore a lesser form of) statecraft. ambessa scoffs at this and at the idea of 'talking [your] way out of anything' and then later mel has to confront (again and again) that political games cannot account for everything and that she is not omniscient and even her savvy and skill can be upended by unexpected acts of guerrilla warfare. jinx bombs the council, ambessa engineers conflict, the black rose abducts elora and mel herself.

everything in the world is politics yes, but not everyone is playing the same political game and mel is limited in her ability to account for this not because she's stupid or incapable but because of her position in the world. she understands violence only as a tool used by imperialists to oppress their subjects. she has never been on the side of the power divide where she can't bargain with or outmaneuver or manipulate her opponents because the power they hold over her is immeasurable – until of course she is in that exact position. the black rose abducts and tortures her and kills elora and against her will awakens a power in her that only exists because of forces acting on her life long before she was even born.

it's actually kind of wild. in the span of like 1.5 episodes mel goes from being one of the most powerful people in piltover to a woman in a position very similar to viktor's – at the mercy of forces that shaped her life and set it in motion without her ever getting the chance to decide what she wanted for herself. however flawed her methods may or may not be, mel has worked her whole adult life to create a world where war doesn't happen and in one single revelation she learns that not only were her efforts small in the grand scheme of things but also that she herself is the very antithesis of what she wants to see in the world: a weapon.

and that's where ambessa matters! more than any other character in the story, ambessa is the embodiment of military power. national militaries are obviously an arm of power used towards political ends, and military might is often advanced by science – and in arcane's case, also magic, which is presented as a kind of science in the forms of hextech and shimmer. ambessa repeatedly evinces that she's distrustful of mages, but we also learn that she seeks to control magic to her own (presumably violent) ends. mel is her first attempt; she's born with the gift of the arcane, but ambessa correctly identifies she's not super into warfare and eventually sends her away

several years later ambessa arrives in piltover in search of magic again in the form of hextech, but what she eventually ends up getting is another mage.

in short, mel is the weapon ambessa wanted, but viktor is the weapon she got

and in this way, viktor and mel's trajectories finally intersect. mel is forced to reframe her understanding of political power and its uses and limits (and i presume this will carry through to her time in noxus), and she now has to live with the knowledge that she is (as her own voice lines put it) 'tainted by the arcane' in ways she never wanted and forced to use it to kill her own mother. viktor, meanwhile, has to come to grips at the end of the show with the fact that he gave up his ideals about science not being used violently and became the scientific weapon he said he never wanted to create in order to make the world (his idea) of a better place

A lot of people point out the visual parallels between Mel and Viktor but not enough people talk about the thematic parallels between them (also excuse the shitty screenshots).

they both grew up with mentors who ended up doing something they couldn't understand (Viktor believing death is better than sacrificing humanity, Mel believing war is bad)

and they remain haunted by that memory as an adult

they later left that mentor, Viktor on his own decision, Mel got cast out. Then they reconnected with that mentor when they are struggling with the same dilemma but their position has shifted. Again Viktor does this on his own accord and Ambessa comes to Mel

After this encounter though they realise their error and shift back to their original position

They stick to the same morals after Jinx's bomb hits but the decision was taken from them, Jayce already sacrificed Viktor's humanity, the council already decided on war

Then for the rest of season two we see them attempt to keep up their original stance but their hand is forced. (It is also interesting that Viktor is already taking away their humanity he just doesn't realize it yet, probably because he is so far from his own humanity he has forgotten what that even means)

They also both have parallels to the one they once defended as a kid

But I'm still having trouble finding what the purpose of all these parallels are. Viktor and Mel aren't very close in the narrative and they're both close to Jayce but I don't feel we see these parallels used in their relationship to him. I think the end point is that it's not Viktor's fault he became a villian in the end. Both him and Mel fought for what they thought was right and they both lost, it was only because of how others used Viktor that he was the reason so many people almost died.

Xisuma: Grian. He was a Watcher, it happened so soon after he joined in season 6 but when I found out it was too late already.

Scar: T-too late?

Xisuma: Watchers are gods in a way, but they still feed on feelings, emotions... Mostly negative ones like grief and anger and despair. But they don't only feed like that, they grow their powers from them.

Mumbo: So?

Xisuma: Watchers in a way are like stars, they use emotion like stars use hydrogen as fuel that burns away faster and faster with time. And like stars if they get enough, so much that the laws of the universe themselves bend to reach critical point they become a black hole.

Scar: Watchers can become black holes? That's so cool!

Xisuma: Not ACTUAL black holes. They reach a power so extreme that they reach a new level. I don't know what comes after, they are said to reach beyond the multiverse and to whatever is outside of that. It's not usually a problem, few Watchers ever come close to that "critical mass".

Mumbo: But?

Xisuma:...

Mumbo: I doubt you would be telling about this if it wasn't relevant.

Xisuma: Like I said Watchers feed on emotions, generally bad ones since they are more powerful but all emotions will work. They also spend most of their time in the void, away from servers and only leave to feed.

Mumbo: And Grian stayed in Hermitcraft for 4 seasons, from Demise to the Turf War to the Moon Crashing and the whole Empires thing.

Scar: Plus the Life series! They were short but they were very emotional!

Xisuma: Exactly.

Mumbo: So what? Grian reached this "critical mass" and ascended?

Xisuma: Not yet. He didn't yet, because of me putting him here. If he did you would all be dead, a Watcher reaching this point only happened twice and both times the process destroyed tens of servers and everyone living in them.

Scar: Wait what?

Xisuma: When I noticed I put Grian here... in stasis, to prevent Hermitcraft and all nearby servers from being destroyed.

Mumbo: Wait wait wait. If Grian is really oh so powerful now how did you even manage it?

Xisuma: I caught it early for one. I'm also the main admin of this world, had it been any other server my power wouldn't have been enough. Tango and Joe helped with their own admin abilities and...

Dungeon lord Chilchuck

What would his wish as a dungeon lord be? What would he be like? Headcanons & speculation post for fun. But I’ll start with analytic lead up because that’s always fun for me, though feel free to skip and skim.

When it comes to what Chilchuck’s dungeon lord desires could/would be like we have mainly 3 hints: His nightmare, his succubus and what the winged lion says to him.

Why: — From what we see nightmares are based on the person’s worst fears and insecurities, both Laios’ and Marcille’s nightmare were closely tied to their dungeon lord wishes (Laios’ dream monster being summoned to crush the ghosts of relationships that represented the pressure to fit in and belong, Marcille seeking control over death and aging through magic to avoid loss), the fuel behind their desire/goal if you will. Fear and deep-seated desires are seemingly closely tied, something also supported by Thistle and Mithrun’s reigns as dungeon lords (Thistle proving his worth through fulfilling his given duty + protecting his loved ones, being listened to instead of having to listen, Mithrun escaping rigid two-faced elven society and living in a wonderland where he has no enemies and he’s loved, free from everyone he knew yet propped up by the person symbolizing his brother being chosen over him, the bastard child).

— I’ve talked about the significance I assign to the succubi often by now, but rundown: What we see of each character is all very telling if you care to listen, it shows not only someone’s "ideal form" but what they want from it. Izutsumi’s is familial, offering a hug and comfort, Marcille’s is romantic with a character she knows and loves, offering a kiss on a hand and a connection regardless of how distant it actually is, and Laios’ is platonic, arguable at first but then Laios’ fear of judgement is placated and he is offered the picture perfect friend group that accepts his interest (if you want my full look at Laios’ succubus go here). They take on the most alluring form, most ideal person of their victim, even uncovering deep subconscious desires, so precisely and effectively to the point it leaves victims physically frozen before the object of their desire. Succubi and the demon are themselves tied in lore and it’s easy to see how similar their core skill are. Succubi don’t give a good idea of what a character would wish for on their own but they certainly give hints on what they crave, regardless of how you want to read it.

— Last bit is self-explanatory. To placate Chilchuck and win his compliance over, the monster that reads your soul like an open book offers to give him something specific. But! It’s also important to remember that the lion isn’t offering to fulfill Chilchuck’s dream world wish here, it’s a second prize, because his goal with what he promised Laios is that they’d stay in this world, away from everyone and everything else. Chilchuck wants to get away but is kept back, and it’s here the lion placates him with "hey it’s okay! You can’t do that but I can still give you this! This is enough right? It’ll make everything easier on you".

What each bit says: — Long version in another post. Tldr: His daughters and family are obviously important to him, and this reinforces that he takes on the role of protector a lot, he’s constantly worried for his party members’ lives and implicitly his family’s. Safety and stability, both economical and otherwise, are his core values and goals, and he berates both others and himself if someone fails on those fronts. Here, there’s the fear of not being enough, of not having been able to protect, and of course of loss.

— Chil’s succubi are obviously sexual, and not only that but agressively and straightforwardly so. It’s not like Marcille’s where there’s personality involved, all they do is give him sultry looks and pretty smiles before jumping on him. His succubi aren’t like Izutsumi’s, always the same exact person and appearance, so it’s not someone but an appealing general idea. The idea of a sexual being he can regard as simply a gorgeous piece of meat and a good time no strings attached. In my interpretation, especially with my reading of Laios’ succubus where even with deep-seated desires negative emotions can be too intense to effectively freeze a victim, I think this doesn’t contradict his character. Relationships have been painful to him in the past, in the succubus scene when his wife gets mentioned his immediate reaction is to yell "Don’t bring her up now!", like with his habit of drinking and as a tallman liking his senses feeling dulled, it’s about not having to feel emotions with how difficult they are to deal with sometimes and just feeling good, or at least not having to think, for a while. If a succubus showcases someone’s ideal connection with an ideal person, then Chilchuck’s is with a pretty person that doesn’t stir any negative memory or drama, someone low stakes and low maintenance that doesn’t require him to manage or talk out feelings because there’s none involved in the first place.

— Once more, wife and family are important! He does long for his family, not only his wife but his daughters, and vice versa. This suggests not only that he wants good relationships with them but that he wants them to be with him, a family life. Far from the cut communication they all more of less have during canon, and perhaps far from their life pre-canon when he worked away from home a significant amount of time. We’ve seen recreations of people by the winged lion before with doppelgangers and monsters (naga), and though he claims he can make satisfying imitations, what we’ve seen is that they base themselves on the best memories of that person, like with Marcille’s dad, or twist behavior to be more pleasant, like Mithrun’s lover (and possibly twist appearances depending on the person’s view of them, but that’s Mithrun analysis). The line does suggest Chilchuck would want his family members as they are in reality and not idealized versions, but the circumstances are chaotic and urgent enough in the scene (and again the lion isn’t fulfilling Chilchuck’s wish but trying to make him content for Laios’) that it could just be the winged lion saying what he needs to to convince him the fastest possible, and like we see with Laios that can crumble to give way to deeper or more complex desires.

On top of that we just have general info on Chil. How does Chilchuck deal with his issues? What does he like to do? He likes alcohol and ignoring his problems. We have to remember there is a split between what someone would consciously wish for and what their soul uncontrollably irrationally craves. As always with Dunmeshi, there’s a narrative of irrational deep-seated desires vs active wants, what you crave vs what you strive for, what you dream of vs what’s actually good for you, the animal vs the human inside you, heart vs mind. Chilchuck craving a harem of hot babes in his fantasies but wanting his family life & wife back again is not mutually exclusive. You may crave becoming a monster and tasting what humans are like a little but still want to save the world & your friends more.

Btw can we adress the irony of him terrified of being the last one alive, of being left by his daughters and wife, of having left and coming back home one day to see everything gone or rampaged, yet not caring about dying of liver failure himself, knowing every time that he enters a dungeon there’s a real risk he may not come out. Die somewhere I can’t see you. I prefer leaving you than being left behind. He’s selfish and shortsighted like that… Chilchuck is selfless in many ways of course, but perhaps also due to his own relationship with his parents, he often undermines the effects he has on others in his relationships, both the good and the bad (he talks himself down about being cowardly and greedy yes, but never hints at his bad health habits, alcoholism and starving himself, may have affected his loved ones, doesn’t question his wife falling into a bad mood the night before she left, and talks about the possibility of dying here and there very casually, though obviously he tries his best to stay alive when it doesn’t concern his health).

Chilchuck king of "Let me just avoid and ignore my problems surely they’ll go away, things might work out and if they don’t well tough luck I’ll survive and I probably deserve it anyways". If I don’t look at it it will dissapear <3 Why care when you can simply not think about it.

You might not understand Mister "my love will stay strong through months of work travel and also 4 years of separation" and Mister "well idk my siblings and me are kinda strangers and my dad is dead but that’s kinda whatever", but typically relationships need some form of maintenance and emotional availability…

The actual headcanons finally

I kinda have 2 routes in mind for dunlord Chil and both of them are centered on "I care too much, i wish things were easy", so first is a lot like his succubi, it’s full on indulging in his guilty pleasures like alcohol and bodies and it’s to keep him in a constant state of thrill and euphoria and distracted, unfeeling about stuff that really matters. "Nothing matters except that I’m enjoying the moment!" vibe. He gets to live a life worthy of Dionysus, with alcohol and women and debauchery and like— never having to think again, never having to feel anything but pleasure again, never have to feel guilty or shitty or angry or sad. He has a harem and gets everything on a silver platter.

Breaking news demon magic-induced rush of euphoria and power still not enough to cure this man of his self-hatred nor his capacity for thought!! But in his case a state of euphoria is what he seeks I think, to kinda mask or replace the Everything Else.

The other is what I think closer to what canon suggests, with what WL implied too with "I’ll make you a new wife and kids like the originals!! 😊", it’s a (spoilers) Wandavision type thing where it’s a slice of life where he’s never at work and always at home and the family eats lunches at the dinner table together and everything and everyone at any moment is just. Happy. No issues. It was all a dream, this is real and everything is fine and your family is perfect and happy. I like to think the timeline would be wonky, his daughters would fluctuate in age, but he’d want to be there for what he missed, would want them to still rely on him and look up to him like when they were young, would like to forget that they’re now independent adults and the distance that grew between Chilchuck and his siblings is happening between them as well. Chil would want doppelgangers of his family imo, at its core just a general wish for a peaceful happy family life with no drama, no need to compromise, a little paradise of unconditional love and no consequences. It’s for sure straightforward, but Chilchuck is a man with straightforward desires…

But see Chilchuck is a greedy man, and he wants it both ways without having to sacrifice anything or expanding any efforts himself. He wants to have his cake and eat it too. I think playing with these two opposite directions and mixing and matching is most fun. Him leading a life where he indulges in all his worst habits while still having everything he wants… Him getting to have BOTH his wife and any woman he can imagine up, his life like two sides of a coin he can flip at any moment where he’s partying then he’s at home enjoying the quiet and his toddler daughters playing with toys on the carpet. Christ when you remember it’s all an illusion that’s terrifying, the doppelgangers and succubi from the winged lion playing chilchuck ping pong.

A safe little haven both security-stability wise and emotionally. Gets to have both the relaxing and the thrilling in any dose he wants, mixed or separatedly. What I’d argue he had pre-canon too: Can live it up in taverns away from home, stays away from home for long periods of time, and can come back to home aka the symbol of relaxation and safety whenever he decides to. Something he can leave and come back to at will, an anchor he can trust in (until it’s taken from him and his wife leaves. Or in his worse nightmare people rush in and kill his daughters). The ideal of a house and family to a working man, perhaps…

I think it’s fun to think on wether or not these desires would be interesting at all to the winged lion… In canon he seeks out "rare/complex desires", common simple things like I imagine riches, sex, substances and pleasure would be are boring to him, he’s eaten those so many times already. So perhaps he wouldn’t last long as a dunlord, the WL would want to eat him fully quick, can’t keep him interested or waiting long for a meager meal, too much effort raising the cattle and too low quality meat. By making it more twisted or layered Chil’s desire would become more desirable to the demon, it’s part of what’s fun with the third option to me. But whatever. Has he ever eaten a guy with this much repression and self-sabotage... Like trying to get the meat out of a walnut, enrichment…

Other dunlord Chil takes I’ve seen that are fun and good:

@feelo-fick and @pluvio-floret have a dunlord Chilchuck AU project dubbed "tragedy AU" where Chilchuck is said to be "on vacation", in a weird delirious state, only half-there half of the time… From which he doesn’t want to wake up </3 Quoting Feelo, this is why the vacation thing is only a half-joke cause he is 1) letting all his responsibilities go 2) indulging in himself and 3) "spending time with his family" <- lie but you get what i mean. Additional comments that have me vigorously nodding: because changing is hard why cant things just be okay right now without the effort !!! Life is hard he’s so so tired he just wants to feel good… he just wants life to feel nice and easy for a sec while he can learn to breathe again and lose the stress and trauma he’s accumulated…….. spoiler alert yes !!! in fact a depressed person can suck themselves into their job and lock out the world who wouldve thought !!!

And then Cabinette I know posted about his dunlord take once but I don’t have the link, in which Chil has a lot of nosebleeds because of mana overload which is fun and interesting to think about imo~

In dunmeshi, where characters get underground pockets of the world as their playground disconnected from everything outside and the rest of the world, it’s important to remember to face reality even if it has conflict and people with different views and stances from you, it’s something Chilchuck and Marcille and everyone needed to learn, and the thing with a dungeon lord AU is that you imagine a timeline where he fails to <3

A timeline where his dungeon lord wish is to desire nothing bc hope and want has only ever hurt him would also go so hard. Very universal thing though I suppose.

The Silver-Eyed Warriors (Official Information from the RWBY Wiki)

Silver-Eyed Warriors are an ancient lineage of legendary warriors who possessed special abilities through the usage of their eyes. Their power destroys Grimm and is believed to originate from the God of Light.

With most of the information on the Silver-Eyes largely rooted in myths and legends, true accounts or knowledge of their powers are difficult to find.

The most consistent of traits among these stories are that the eyes themselves are special, and the people who possess them are fighters of unprecedented prowess.

Silver-Eyed Warriors are a lineage group whose origins predates the establishment of both Huntsmen and Kingdoms. According to legend, those born with silver eyes are said to be destined to lead the life of a warrior. Silver eyes themselves are an extremely rare trait in the modern world.

Silver-Eyed Warriors have powers that are fueled by strong desires to preserve life.

As preservation is considered an extension of creation, Silver Eyes work against Grimm, as they are manifestations of destruction. Legend has it that Silver-Eyed Warriors are able to strike down Grimm with a single look.

Exactly how the powers manifest is not known beyond the fact that blinding streams of light, almost resembling wings, or a radial flash of light can come from the wielder's eyes.

Because the power can only activate in the presence of Grimm, it is difficult to train to use outside of in the face real danger.

However, one can create a state of mind to tap into when the power is needed.

Silver eyes have small white lines in the iris, which is a detail that no other eyes have. This serves as a good indicator of the difference between silver and gray eyes.

Personal Head Canon

(My own ideas begin here)

However, several centuries prior, they were born in abundance.

When the Brother of Light saw that the Brother of Darkness had created the Creatures of Grimm, he knew he had to act fast; and unto his human creations, he bestowed this power. Upon the meeker few were these powers secretly distributed – Eyes of Silver Light, they were once known – and the instruction of how to use it as well.

The power varied from human to human, as – although made equal – not very many of them could take the mental and physical strain of the Light. Many of those who had, often suffered from fainting fits and in the worst cases, entering a state of comatose not waking for any period of time.

Although plentiful once upon a time, the most able Warriors who wielded the Light were few in number. Despite having been provided with instruction to use the power, not many were able to so easily; people being so different as they are (instruction for one may work, but not for another).

This meant that even though there were many humans born with Silver Eyes, the majority of them lived with their power lying dormant, and didn’t truly know how to use them.

It wasn’t uncommon to find anywhere from two to three out of ten people who knew the significance of their eyes’ powers, and those of them who didn’t know would lead decidedly boring lives, always thinking deep down that they were meant for something more.

Importantly, the potency of those who could effortlessly use the Silver Light also varied – this would usually be indicated by the shade of silver their eyes were. The brighter the shade, the stronger the effect.

As previously explained, activation of the Silver Light varied from person to person, however, those who tried it out for the first time noted that they’d had to find their truth (the heart from where all power comes) before moving forward with the power readily available. This did include creating a state of mind where the Light could be instantly tapped into.

When activated in the face of ‘Darkness’, the Creatures of Grimm are stopped dead in their tracks. The manner of how depends on the user eyes – as previously stated – the dullest shade of silver will gradually petrify the Grimm, whereas the brightest shade will instantly incinerate them.

Those who are in between – the Pure Silver Eyes – are given more leeway; the ‘varying shades’ are only able to “Petrify or Petrifry”.

PSE’s can easily do both, though the choice is sometimes affected by the wielder’s emotions at the time of its use. Should the wielder feel agitated or enraged, the Grimm will either be turned to stone from the inside out, or stripped-down atom-by-atom to ashes.

The Acolytes of Silver Light

The Acolytes of Silver Light were a mysterious group that vanished long before the start of The Great War. They were a famous band of nomads who, no matter where they went, seemed to have no trouble when wandering around outside of the Four Kingdoms. They seldom carried weapons, apart from the odd dagger or – oddly enough – a slingshot. Although, it was not unusual to see them defending themselves with a walking stick if push came to shove.

It was rumored that they lived predominantly in Eastern Vacuo, though traces of their home base, if they ever had one, have never been found. They were a strangely elusive people, and tended to keep to themselves; often walking around wearing simple clothes under cloaks with long hoods that extended down to or sometimes past their noses, or even masks made from bone or Grimm Ivory to hide their eyes.

Now, this is highly subject to speculation; but it is more than likely that the Acolytes were actually Silver Eyed Warriors of varying shades, who simply travelled wherever they pleased. Most people believed this, as the only troubles they ever seemed to encounter were Bandits or Pirates – the usual story the nomads would use upon entering a village if injured.

The Acolytes were also notoriously peaceful people, they never asked for trouble and even accepted any Faunus into their group. They defended themselves with their wooden walking sticks, and each member had one of their own. They believed in pacifism and ridding desire from one’s heart – despite this, they remained compassionate to all they encountered.

Grimm Searing Blades

According to Legend, there exists a place where the Light of the greatest Silver Eyed Warriors was distilled into an oasis, creating the purest water on Remnant. Some Huntsmen and many Priests dubbed it ‘Silver Water’, and pilgrimages are sometimes carried out to this elusive oasis simply to collect small vials of it.

The distillation process remains a mystery, however it is likely that simply shining the Light into the spring thoroughly purifies it into what most religious people would consider ‘Holy Water’.

It remains unclear whether or not the Acolytes of Silver Light began this tradition later on, but it is plausible that the effectiveness of these weapons was mostly attributed to their defense against the Creatures of Grimm. While these weapons were effective on their own, they were truly flourishing when in the presence of a Silver Eyed Warrior, regardless of what shade they possessed; as the Light directly from its source was fiercely potent.

Naturally, this was only possible when utilized against The Creatures of Grimm, as Human opponents would simply be blinded by the light and not injured. Over time, their reputation built up, Huntsmen began calling these weapons: Grimm Searing Blades, and they were highly sought after before The Great War.

According to Another Legend, when the sword: Crocea Mors was being forged, it was tempered in Silver Water, and the blade itself was further blessed to never dull by Priests and The Acolytes of Silver Light; hence why the Creatures of Grimm seem to begin disintegrating even if the blow they take is glancing. Interestingly, the Shield was also tempered in Silver Water, and exhibits an ability similar to that of a Silver Eyed Warrior when Aura is pumped into it.

Although this is hardly a surprise, as tempering of steel weapons in Silver Water was instrumental for creating the tools to combat the Grimm, which was long before the Rise of the Maidens. Although it is interesting to consider that Crocea Mors might be the very last Grimm Searing Blade left on Remnant.

Factually, the only Grimm Searing Blades that existed before The Great War were three swords once owned by a noble family – Exalted Descendant, Fallen Avenger, and a blade of which the name has since been forgotten. The whereabouts of these blades remain unknown, but it is possible that the Arc Family did in fact possess this weapon at one point; whether they still have the relic remains to be seen.

If crocea mors was a magical sword what abilities would it have?

Concept. Crocea mors is a fairy weapon in the same vein as the knights of the round table.

Having been forged for the arcs it fuses with their soul allowing them to bring it fourth from their aura at will and return it to their souls for easy transport.

The sword is all about standing out and so it boosts the inherent charisma of it's weilder acting as a badge of office. Then makes all physical parameters match the newly enhanced charisma.

The more self confident the more powerful you become.

been looking in tags for a few days now to see if anyone else found the whole high cloud quintet and related story to be a bit.....poorly written, nonsensical, contradictory, full of plot holes and loose ends, etc. apparently i'm not the only one. (and i'm not even talking about shipping stuff, because any time I saw someone mad about bad writing, someone always replies to be homophobic and laugh about failed ships. weirdos.) it could have been so good but was thrown into the garbage for the most part (IF you noticed all the plot holes and contradiction. if not, then it's a fine enough story tbh. I expect most people to see it on surface level and not read all the little hidden lore bits and try to piece it together like my autistic brain did. which is ok! enjoy it if you liked it and ignore me 😆)

I am writing about my family: my father Bakr (54 years old), my mother Alaa (46 years old), and my sisters Aya (18 years old), Amal (15 years old), Muhammad (13 years old), and Maryam (8 years old). We have faced many challenges in this war, from the destruction of our home to the famine we continue to suffer in northern Gaza.

My father suffers from heart problems. He had open-heart surgery when he was 36 years old. He also suffers from cartilage problems. He had his pelvic joint replaced about two years ago, in addition to other health problems. He cannot work due to his health condition.
