Kiah had slowly been warming up to Theo. Things were fine between them when she was drinking but of course her walls went back up when she was sober. However when she smoked, all of her logical thoughts went out the window. Thats how she ended up here, curled up to his side while they watched a movie in his apartment. She was comfortable and incredibly influenced at the moment so she was damn near asleep, but she definitely heard him.

“Only when I’m half asleep though.” She pouted, her bottom lip poked out as she looked up at him.

Kara was confused when she felt the fabric fall around her shoulders, that was until she turned to see Theo. His words caused her to smile, a little laugh leaving her lips. “I mean…” her head tilted back some, eyeing his ass in the right Calvin’s. “You’ve got the butt for it.” She giggled, pulling the robe around herself some more. She was freezing after all. “But yeah, I’m alright. Just feeling a little exposed is all.” She mumbled, looking up at him again.

“Yeah you were kinda staring at me” A light pink blush stained Theo’s cheeks as he looked at the girl currently staring at him. Did he have something on his face? He brushed his hand subtly over his lips and cheek just to check.

Ch 205: That Butler, Panic

The chapter is short (only 13 pages plus the cover, with a two page spread toward the end), but full of drama. The shit finally hits the fan and Snake learns what really happened to the circus troupe and what Doll really is.

My summary translation follows. Please be respectful of the work and money I put into these by not reposting without credit.

The chapter begins where the last left off, with the orphans, Finny, and Snake finding Doll being given a transfusion of Canopus blood by two of the human workers.

Snake asks why Doll looks in this condition, and the workers try to explain it away by saying Doll is getting a medical procedure for an illness.

But Theo calls them on their bullshit, saying they’re lying, recognizing the label that says Canopus on the blood Doll was getting.

He accuses Doll of being a star lord.

One of the workers basically challenges Theo back, asking what their intentions are and that they’d better think carefully before responding, while pulling a gun on them.

She fires, and Finny springs into action, protecting the orphan clones and getting hit in the shoulder in the process.

He yells at them to run, and they do, but Doll picks up a shard of glass and does a Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon leap and springs over them, cutting off their escape.

Doll says now that they know everything, they won’t let them pass.

Snake is so shocked he speaks as himself, asking, begging for Doll to tell him that it isn’t true, that they aren’t a star lord.

Doll apologizes to him for lying, and says of all people, they didn’t want Snake to know the truth about them.

“I’m a monster,�� Doll explains. “That night at father’s, I died. No… I was murdered. By Ciel Phantomhive.”

Doll explains how father (Baron Kelvin), Joker, and their entire family were killed like insects, and then recounts in graphic, sardonic detail how everyone died:

Wendy and Peter were hunted down and shot like prey by the maid;

Beast (and Dagger) were dredged in flour and deep fried alive;

And Jumbo was even worse— his guts and head were pulverized by the gardener.

On the final page, Doll tells Snake he’s been tricked into working for their enemy, and urges him, as family, to join them in getting revenge against the Phantomhives.

The chapter ends there, so we’ll need to wait for next month to see how Snake responds…! This also means that Undertaker must have seen what happened that night, and either told Doll or inserted it into their records….

101 PLOT BUNNIES / Dear Prudence, a Theodore Laurence Fanfiction

PRUDENCE POIRIER WAS ACCUSTOMED TO HIDING IN THE SHADOWS. With her father fighting in the Civil War, she and her mother occupied themselves with finding work so that, when the time came, their family could buy a proper home upon the patriarch’s return.

While scouring the streets of Boston, Prudence and her mother, Mabel, ran into James Laurence, a man who occupied a house larger than he could ever need with only himself and his grandson. After Mabel detailed her prowess as a housekeeper and her daughter’s green thumb for the neglected greenhouse he spoke of, Mr. Laurence gladly accepted the help with the condition that the two women would take up two of his empty rooms, in an attempt to liven up the house into a home once again.

Mabel was grateful that she had come across a genuine man such as Mr. Laurence, rather than being stuck in an unideal situation. Prudence, upon hearing Mr. Laurence’s mention of a family full of daughters that lived across the road, was ecstatic at the prospect of making new friends. What took her most by surprise, though, was the friendliness of Mr. Laurence’s aforementioned grandson.

Listening to her mother’s words of caution, Prudence kept her distance from the boy who seemed to have too-good of intentions. Until, letters with the salutation “Dear Prudence” began welcoming her in the greenhouse most mornings, written in what could only be his impeccable, product-of-being-privately-tutored handwriting.

Mabel instructed Prudence to be respectful, and how disrespectful would it be if she didn’t write to him back?

Where is the F.O.L orphanage located in Norfolk?

This post was made a lot more in depth thanks to @abybweisse (please go ready their post about this subject once you are done here :))

Thanks to chapter 210 we know we are by a river, and that leave 4 maybe 5 rivers it could be; these rivers being Bure, Ouse, Wensum, Yare and maybe Waveny.

And I suspect we are along the River Yare, specifically at the Haddiscoe new cut (where the River Yare meets the river Waveny at the cut)

And you’re probably wondering why I think this, let me explain.

First of all, the surrounding location of the F.O.L orphanage. We know it’s slightly raised on a hill, that’s surrounded by flat marsh / farm lands with a forest on the back of the building and has a river running near by and a transition along the river. As well as that the showing of seagulls in the start of the arc reveals it’s relatively close to the ocean. All of these factors are very similar to hadiscoe in 1889.

Originally I thought it was Haddiscoe Manor House but threw research done by Aby and myself, I now suspect that Raven Hall is the location of the of the orphanage. This is also correlated by the location of the river to the Hall shown in the map that Theo shows us of the underground tunnels.

Raven Hall is a farm house estate just off of the yare river and inside of the Haddiscoe island. The estate also had a water mill pump called the Red Mill (in 1889 this would of been knows as the langley detached drainage pump), which is a drainage mill like the one mentioned, at the end of the chapter when the kids have to swim threw the drainage system to get out of the estate.

This drainage mill pumps water from the surrounding area to the river Yare, which is what Theo says the the mill by them does.

Another thing to consider is how Finny and Snake would of got to this location by train. As we are shown at the start of the arc Finny and snake take a train to a far out station and walk in to the orphanage. I suspect they took the end of the line route that goes from Norwich to Lowestoft, but instead of taking the line to the end they got off at Haddiscoe station that is located on the south side of the cut next to st olaves. They would of then walked over one of the many bridges to the island and up to the F.O.L orphanage.

This also link to a safe way to get to the meeting point with the O!Ciel. Once the investigation on the orphanage was done, snake and Finny would have only need to follow the river Yare to get to Great Yarmouth or River Waveny to end up in Lowestoft. These towns were both port town which means they would have had trade route ships which could have taken them directly to Brighton by ocean instead of having to travel the whole country by foot or train.

With all these facts i am quite sure this is the location of the orphanage!

@togrieve4 put the idea in my head and now i can't stop thinking of theo being there when rakiel meets king harnant. of theo seeing how this man, proud and dignified the way a monarch has to be, cracks the moment his son's illness comes into play. how he broke down a door to see his child and how he has been counting the days since he last saw him. how it breaks his heart to have his kid hide away in his room but cannot bear to be cruel enough to force him out of it.

theo who went to beg his father to not humiliate his brother in front of thousands of people, to not be so cruel as to make his defeat a public affair to be gossiped about only to be immediately dismissed. theo who basically gave up on life and spent a year hidden away in his palace with an eating disorder that would've probably killed him if rakiel hadn't intervened. theo who must've known his father kept tabs on him,,, and that he never bothered to do anything about it.

i'm just. i'm thinking thoughts.

Theo withheld an exasperated sigh. Rarely was it that he and Maria butted heads. More often than not, he could recognize the signs and curb it before it happened, by either appeasing or just veering away from the subject. A method that worked exceptionally well most days. But on occasion, since nothing was ever perfect, it did happen that seeing eye to eye wasn't able to be achieved. Today was one of those days, and clearly, she wasn't going to let the subject lie. Time was lacking already, and the fact that she wanted to draw out the argument was more than a little irritating. Already lacking patience with the business he had to handle, Theo struggled to reign everything in so he didn't explode at her. Something that he hadn't done to date.

"Maria, we can continue this when I get back. But for now, it isn't up for discussion. You are staying here, with them watching you. It's about your safety, so I would really appreciate it if you could just listen and hold off an arguing until I get back. I'm not trying to outrun this. But if I don't leave now, there are going to be bigger problems." Frustration did leak into those final words.
