I'm Right In Between(Nanami Kento x Fem!Reader x Ino Takuma)
warnings: smut, mentions of alcohol, power dynamics, male x male, teacher and student type relationships, oral sex(male receiving), snowballing/cum swapping, facials(not the spa kind) word count: 2.2k pairings: Nanami Kento x Fem!Reader x Ino Takuma summary: you and Ino want to help Kento relax, and you get the brightest idea...it's also the naughtiest idea! a/n: this is for the haters :) go fuck yourselves
You and Ino have always had a friendly rivalry. You both were recruited to Jujutsu Tech at the same time, and you both showed promise quickly. Another thing you both had in common was that you valued anything Nanami-sama had to say. You both valued him greatly, knowing that he had the best experience and life lessons to pass down to both of you.
Another thing…you and Ino were both crushing on one another. Ino would find it much too hard to confess to you, and your own crush on your senpai would lead you to try and push your feelings for Ino away. Despite this, everyone talks about how you two would make such a great couple.
One day, Nanami and Ino return from a mission that you weren’t called upon. You watch as the two men you were deeply enamored with return in such rough shape. It hurts you to see Nanami work so hard, and you feel terrible about Ino trying his best to really impress your senpai. So you sneak away to the cafe nearby and retrieve some goodies to help pep up the two men.
You find Ino and Nanami in one of the staff rooms, and you gently knock on the door. Nanami’s voice welcomes you in, and you open the door. Ino’s eyes light up when he sees you, and Nanami isn’t dumb to notice such a reaction from his protege.
“I brought some lunch,” you say with a sweet smile. You place the tray of drinks and the bag of food on the table.
Ino is the first to reach over, and he opens the bag. Kindly, he passes Nanami the sandwich you ordered specifically for him. You take your seat between them, your smile radiating so much warmth for them. You all eat while chatting lightly, Ino re-enacting the mission in a very animated way. But you notice how Nanami looks so tired. He’s barely able to keep up with Ino’s energy.
“Thank you for the food, I have to go fill out the reports.” Nanami says as he gets up. You want to tug on his sleeve and tell him to stay, but you know he probably wouldn’t.
Nanami leaves and it’s soon just you and Ino. Ino smiles at you in a lovesick sort of way, and you giggle softly. You’ve always found him so cute, even when you were growing up. Now that you’re both adults, it feels so different with him as well. It’s different because your feelings have evolved into something even more.
“Hey Ino,” you say as you take a sip of your tea. “You think there’s something we could do for senpai? He’s so stressed all the time.”
Your heart is racing as you try to plant the seeds to your risque idea. It’s going to be naughty for sure, but you want to really show your senpai that he can relax. He can count on both you and Ino for anything, even when it comes to personal matters.
“That’s a great idea, cutie! What do you think we could do?”
Ino’s pet name for you makes you blush, and your cheeks turn even brighter as you begin to think about how you’re going to propose this naughty idea. Ino chuckles softly before he leans in closer to you, resting his chin on his hands. He winks in a flirty way, making you look away.
“Awhh, come on…you can tell me.” Ino is being so flirty.
You shake your head, “Ah…I don’t know.”
Ino laughs softly again, then he reaches out to poke you on the cheek. Ino makes a comment about how cute you are when you’re all flustered. You blush even more, but Ino doesn’t give you the chance to look away. He cups your cheek and pulls you even closer.
“Tell me, please. I want to help Nanami-san relax.”
Finally, you just blurt it all out. You can’t even hold it back any longer. You know you shouldn’t be suggesting something this sexy, but it’s just such a good idea to have Nanami-sama calm down. You wonder if it’s been a long time since he’s had any kind of sexual pleasure anyway.
“Y-you wanna what?” Ino asks, a little bewildered by this idea. His cock twitches in his pants just thinking about it,
“I want to uh…give him a blowjob.”
Ino is now so red in the face when you finally say it out loud again. He was sure you had said something else, but hearing you repeat it makes his cock jump in his pants. This would be so thrilling for everyone involved. He’s a little worried Nanami wouldn’t agree to it.
“First we come in with a bottle of sake, you know something to help him loosen up.”You begin explaining it to Ino.
Ino laughs, “You wanna get him drunk?”
You shake your head and look away embarrassed, “Just a little buzzed..”
Ino decides to throw caution to the wind and he decides he’s on board with your plan. He’d be an idiot if he said he wasn’t sexually attracted to Nanami. And then he would get the chance to be sexually active with you as well, so Ino counts this as the sexiest thing that could ever happen in his life.
He decides to leave campus to find the bottle of sake, and you head into Nanami’s office to keep him company. You’ll be stalling him from leaving the office just yet. You know you’re going to need a little time to get Nanami loosened up where he won’t be mad at this plan. It’s not like he’d deny that it would be good for him, but he would be worried that he could be abusing his power over you and Ino.
You knock on his door, and your heart wrenches when you see the tired eyes of your mentor looking up at you. You can see just how relieved he is that it’s you and not someone else. Namely Gojo-sensei. You offer Nanami a soft smile and he beckons you inside his office. You approach the desk.
“What is it, sweetheart?” His voice makes you so weak in the knees.
“Just checking up on you. You left us pretty quickly earlier.”
Nanami frowns at your words. It was true, he was itching to get these reports filled out and sent to the higher ups so that he could potentially leave early today. He had worked very hard today with Ino at his side, so he’s just feeling quite tired.
“No need to worry about me. I’m fine,”
You know you should believe him when he says this, but it still hurts. You can see how tense he is. He probably hasn’t had anyone doting on him in so long. It makes you worry. You know for a fact he doesn’t have a girlfriend nor a wife thanks to the information that Gojo-sensei was more than happy to supply to you.
“Can I show my appreciation to my wonderful mentor?” You ask, your voice so saccharine right now.
Kento chuckles, “And what did you have in mind?”
You come behind him and begin rubbing his shoulders. Kento melts into your sweet touch. You smell really good too, making him lean back into the chair even more. He sees that sweet smile that makes most of the men here on campus swoon for you. He’s not alone in finding you so attractive, but Kento was sure that you and Ino were a couple.
At that moment,. Ino knocks on the door. Nanami looks at you and you nod your head. Ino comes in and presents the bottle of sake. Now Nanami was starting to think this was some sort of plan. He’s touched that his two proteges were so willing to help him relax.
“Nanami-sama! I brought us some sake. Shall we toast to our successful mission?” Ino asks, procuring some mugs from the coffee station in the teacher’s lounge.
Kento laughs again, “Just one toast. That’s it! We’re all still on the clock.”
But one toast turns into two, then three. By the fourth, Kento is feeling buzzed. He’s so buzzed he doesn’t notice that Ino has locked the door to his office. He barely realizes you getting on your knees. Once you begin unbuckling his belt, this is when Kento clues in.
“So this was your idea after all,” he surmises as you move forward with undressing him.
Ino smirks, “It was her idea. Isn’t she such a naughty little minx?”
You moan at the words of your partner. Then you begin unzipping Kento’s pants, wanting nothing more than to take his cock out. Ino is behind Kento now, rubbing his shoulders. You can’t help but be turned on when Ino and Kento share a kiss. You never thought this would be happening, but you are truly happy that your plan came to fruition.
“Woah…” you murmur the moment you pull Kento’s cock from the confines of his boxer briefs.
“Shit! You’re packing!” Ino makes this comment, making Kento smirk proudly.
Kento then reaches down to caress your cheek, and he rubs your lips with his thumb. You eagerly take it into your mouth, sucking on it to showcase just how good you’re about to make him feel when his cock slips between your plump lips. Ino watches in awe as you suck on your mentor’s thumb, his own cock growing in his pants.
You pull off the digit then you take Kento’s throbbing length in your hands. You slowly stroke him while keeping his gaze locked onto yours. Ino watches the two of you, growing a little envious of the situation. He then joins you on the ground, kneeling for his mentor as well.
The minute you wrap your lips around Kento’s cock, your mentor realizes he might never want to go without this treatment ever again. To have his two attractive subordinates treat him like this is just too much. He knew you two really loved him and admired him deeply, but he didn’t think it was to this degree.
“That’s a good girl,” Nanami praises you, placing a hand on the back of your head. He doesn’t push, just holds you.
Ino smirks, “She must be a good little cocksucker,”
Kento lets his head fall back in pleasure, his eyes fluttering closed as you begin to take even more of him into your mouth. You bob your head a few times before pulling off. Then he feels you shuffling aside and another mouth is on his cock. This makes him twitch as he feels Ino stroking him and wrapping his lips around him.
“Oh fuck…Ino…”
Ino’s heart flutters as he hears this praise. He’s never done this with another man, but he knows he’d do it for his mentor anyday. It’s so thrilling and erotic to be sucking Nanami’s cock. Ino isn’t nearly as good as this as you are, but he makes up for his lack of experience with lots of eagerness. Kento’s moaning and grunting as Ino begins to bob his head up and down a little more now.
“Good boy, Ino.” You praise your partner, pressing a soft kiss to his temple before pulling his hair out of his face.
Kento grunts. “Yes, he certainly is a good boy.”
Ino looks up through his lashes, the praise really getting to him. With renewed confidence, he begins to take even more of the girthy dick of his mentor into his mouth. The minute the tip of Kento’s cock hits the back of his throat, Ino has to pull off to breathe. He’s sputtering a little, trying to regain his bearings.
“My turn again,”
With that, you wrap your lips around Kento’s cock again. His fingers bury themselves into your hair, tugging ever so slightly to guide you into the perfect pace. You’re a lot more experienced with this, suctioning around his cock in the best way. He feels his balls drawing up as his orgasm gets closer.
“Whose mouth should I cum in?” Kento asks, a lustful look in his eyes.
“I’ve got an idea.”
You pull Ino closer, kissing him hungrily. Your mouths move together as your tongues rub together, then you look over at your mentor. Kento moves in closer, his cock rubbing against your tongue first then against Ino’s. You reach down to begin massaging Kento’s heavy balls, making the man above you moan even louder.
“Fuck, I’m gonna cum!” He roars, the coil in his stomach tightening.
The first few spurts of cum hit your tongue and chin, then you pull Ino’s face a little closer and you watch as Kento gives Ino what you can only perceive as his first facial. Ino looks up at his mentor with so much love in his eyes, it just turns you on to see him like this.
You then cup Ino’s cheeks and pull him in for another kiss, this time you’re swapping spit and Kento’s cum. Kento watches as he tries to catch his breath, his heart still thumping wildly in his chest.
“Fuck…you two will wreck me.”
You giggle softly as you pull away from Ino. You then look up at your mentor and wink playfully.
“Not yet, old man. We haven’t even fucked yet!”

Takeru: I didn’t know it had the ability to make things sprout parka versions of forms.
Keiwa: Aaah so that’s what happened.
Keiwa: Any chance my clothes will return?
Takeru: Once the parka decides to get off of you.
Keiwa: So I have to have my top exposed for the time being?
Takeru: To be fair, your parka is closed and you’re only showing your stomach because it’s a crop top.
Keiwa: But still
Takeru: I’m sorry but we’ll just have to wait.

Fist of the Shangri-la Idol - Action Star: Chapter 1
Location: “Fist of the Shangri-la Idol” Movie Set Characters: Touri, Subaru, Hokuto, Makoto, Mao, Yuzuru, Eichi & Wataru Season: Spring
TL Note:
This is one of the many names Touri calls Mao. This nickname stems from his surname “Isara” → “saru” (monkey).
ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ< One week later at the set for “Fist of the Shangri-la Idol”. >
Wataru: *Sighs…* The conversation has taken a bad turn, so let’s take a break and get a fresh start.
I’ll talk with the director and the staff to come up with a solution.
Yuzuru: Alright. …You’re oddly quite serious this time round, Hibiki-sama.
Wataru: But of course. I’m like the “leader” who deals with the idols serving as actors this time.
It’s a position full of responsibility and I have not once in my life ever made compromises when it comes to acting.
It doesn’t mean I’m cutting corners in my idol activities, though.
Yuzuru: Right. I trust you in that regard. …It seems I’m causing you quite some trouble due to my ineptitude this time round, so I apologise.
Wataru: No, no. Having some hardship is actually enjoyable for me. I see you have yet to understand, Mr Butler ♪
Yuzuru: (Having hardship can be enjoyable…? I wonder if it’s similar to the hardship of raising one’s own child?)
(In reality, I’m still lacking in my ability to act.)
(My idol activities have gradually begun to be more enjoyable for me.)
(But this time round, the case is a special one where it involves being an “actor” that includes the complexities and mysteries of an idol.)
(Everything is new to me and I can’t help but hesitate. Oh, what a disappointment I am.)
Makoto: Uuu~ I feel so frustrated and pathetic – I can’t get it right~... And it seems I’m using a lot of the muscles I don’t usually use, so I’m getting tired for some reason~
Eichi: Hehe. The “protagonist” has a lot to bear – It’s no wonder you’re exhausted.
Makoto: Woah!? S–S–S–Sorry, Tenshouin-senpai! I don’t have my glasses on so I can’t really see and thought you were Isara-kun! Sorry for hugging you!
Touri: Hey~ I can’t let that pass! How could you mistake a god for a monkey[⁎]!?
Makoto: Uuu~ This is the biggest mistake of my life…
Wait, Himemiya-kun, you’re still calling Isara-kun a monkey?
Touri: …That’s what I wanna call him but I actually call him the “New Student Council President” to differentiate between the others.
Subaru: Oho? If Sari~ has lost his title of monkey, then the next best monkey in line is Ukki~☆
Makoto: I’m not a monkey, though!?
Subaru: But you like bananas, right, Ukki~?
Makoto: That’s just what you think, Akehoshi-kun and I don’t particularly like or dislike bananas!
Subaru: ………☆
Makoto: Why do you have such an affectionate look on your face that looks like it’s saying “You don’t have to be so modest~♪”!? I’ve been wondering for a while now, but just what do you think I am, Akehoshi-kun!?
Subaru: Well, a very important comrade and beloved best friend of mine of course!
Makoto: Huh? Oh, it kinda makes me blush if you say that right in front of me…♪
Subaru: And, naturally, I know you’re also the president of space that controls the solar system!
Makoto: The president of space!? I’m not just the protagonist of the movie, but I’m also some unknown president?
Hokuto: …Is this the time to be fooling around, you two?
We’re just rehearsing before the real shoot happens, so I guess we do have some time on our hands, though.
We also have “BIG BANG” to take care of – we can’t just be careless here.
Makoto: Y–Yeah. Sorry for fooling around. I’ll work hard seriously.
Hokuto: You don’t have to apologise. It’s your choice what you guys do during your break time.
…………
Makoto: …And he left. W–What’s up with Hidaka-kun? He seems to be in a pretty bad mood recently.
Subaru: Oh~ I heard his dad’s been sending him “super idol mail” that he can’t refuse to read recently.
Makoto: What kinda new feature is that!? What about the rest of us!?
Mao: …It doesn’t look like it’s that sorta special family thing.
Makoto: ? W–What do you mean, Isara-kun?
Mao: Right. Me and Hokuto have smaller roles so we’ve got a lot of time on our hands and we’ve been whispering and chatting.
It doesn’t look like Hokuto’s aware… but it seems he’s really frustrated that he didn’t land the role of the protagonist for the movie.
When he’d watch your scenes, he’d mutter to himself and say things like, “If it was me, I would’ve done it differently.” He’d pout and look like he’s envious and not satisfied.
Makoto: Say what…? It’s not like I wanted to be the protagonist. I did do the audition with that goal in mind, though.
I didn’t think they’d pick me – I couldn’t even act properly during the rehearsal and the actual audition.
Things would’ve been different if it was modelling, but I don’t know anything about acting.
I even complained to Hidaka-kun because I was so disappointed in myself. I asked him what I could’ve done to be better…
And Hidaka-kun looked happy when he gave me advice.
Mao: Hmm. Maybe that’s precisely why he’s feeling frustrated – He pompously gave his advice to the person who ended up getting the role of the protagonist. It’s a good example of a hypocrite.
Makoto: I didn’t mean things to be this way… On second thought, there must have been something wrong with that audition result.
Maybe “fine” or Tenshouin-senpai pulled something behind the scenes? To carry out one of his wicked schemes?
Mao: Hmm. I can see why you’d think that.
But I don’t understand why he’d have his own way just to make you the protagonist. Although, I’m sure a certain someone in “fine” would do that no doubt.
Makoto: Uuu, they want to make me the “protagonist” to increase my value and make me equal with the rest of you guys in “Trickstar” because I’m the one who’s the least skilled, right?
Since it looks like the world sees us as a unit of four people who’re the same age and walk forward side by side.
In reality, we’re just standing in a single file.
Mao: You’re still saying that you don’t have the skills…? Those words should be directed at me since I’m the torch.
Makoto: Isara-kun, you also keep saying that, huh. None of us see you that way.
Subaru: And who’s calling the kettle black? Even my dad couldn’t win “SS” but we were able to do that.
We’re no longer “nobodies” that people will ignore.
There isn’t anyone who’s lagging behind in “Trickstar”. Don’t say such self-deprecating stuff, okay? Please. It makes me so sad.
Makoto: Akehoshi-kun…
Subaru: Hey, how did things get so gloomy…? “Fist of the Shangri-la Idol” is supposed to be a new, fun and exciting project, right?

A nice relaxing day. That’s all Yamato was hoping for when Tesubade-Sama informed him that there were no missions to do.
One day to close his eyes and forget about the world.
Apparently it was too much to ask for, though, because as soon as he had found his way to his favorite little tea shop, placed his order, and found his seat, there was already someone interrupting him.
Someone that he couldn’t ignore.
Hatake Kakashi.
“Did you hear the news?” His Senpai asked as he claimed the seat across from Yamato.
“News?” He raised an eyebrow and waited for his friend to explain himself.
“It’s on the front page,” perfectly prepared for every situation, Kakashi slapped a copy of the Konoha’s newspaper down on the table between them. “Everyone’s talking about it.”
Yamato could read the paper to find out what it was Kakashi was talking about, but it was his day off. He was supposed to be relaxing.
“Why don’t you tell me?“ he tried to phrase it as a question, but it sounded more like a suggestion. A gentle but firm suggestion that he waited patiently for a response to.
“Tell you?” Kakashi grunted. “Are you trying to be me right now? Is that what this is?”
“Maybe.”
“Very funny,” turning the newspaper around, he pointed to the headline. Seven simple words smooshed together to create a sentence that had Yamato choking on his boiling hot tea as soon as he read it.
Captain Yamato, Konoha’s most relatable trans person.
“What?” he wheezed, nearly dropping his tea onto his lap.
Snatching the paper back off of the table, Kakashi leaned back in his chair and examined the front page as if it held all of the secrets in the world. “It’s rather interesting,” he whispered. “If anything, i thought Gai would have won.”
“Gai?” Yamato narrowed his eyes. “If anyone should have won it’s you, Senpai.”
“It says ‘relatable’,” Kakashi turned the paper towards him and jammed a finger up against the headline. “See, right there. Relatable. There’s nothing relatable about me.”
That Yamato found hard to believe. Surely Konoha was chalk full of dorks who would rather read books all day instead of doing work.
“Wait,” realization struck him. “Relatable? Me?”
“Well, ya,” Kakashi chuckled. “I guess so. That’s what people seen to think anyways.”
“Me?” He reiterated. “I’m relatable?”
Kakashi stared at him for a moment, confussion creasing across his forehead. “I don’t… are you not relatable?”
“If I am as relatable as this,” he waved a hand towards the paper. “Says i am, then i’m worried.”
“Worried?”
“How many people in Konoha have been experimented on, Senpai? Did Danzo raise more kids that i’m not aware of? Do I- should i make a group? We can talk about it together. I know how difficult it can all be to process-“
His train of thought was cut off abruptly by laughter. Loud, obnoxious laughter that was coming from the most unlikely source.
Hatake Kakashi himself.
Kakashi was laughing so hard that he was curled into himself, the paper discarded on the floor as he clutched both arms around his stomach.
“Senpai?”
“You- you think-“ Kakashi wheezed between each word. “You think Orochimaru-“
Realizing what was going on, Yamato felt the tell tale signs of a blush crawling up the back of his neck. He’d said something ridiculous.
Something so colossally dumb that Hatake Kakashi, the man known for being cool and aloof at all times, was laughing his butt off at him.
He was never going to live this down.
“I just mean that if people think i’m relatable.” the whole idea still sounded weird to him. Of all the people in Konoha to choose as ‘relatable’ why would anyone vote for him. If they really were restricted to trans people, would Iruka or Naruto not have been a better choice?
Weren’t they more ‘normal’?
Gathering his composure, Kakashi sat up and gently wiped away a tear from his visible eye. “Tenzo, it’s just- they like you,” he clarified. “They think you’re someone to look up to.”
“Ah,” the blush began to stain his cheeks. “I- I see.”
Propping his elbows on the table, Kakashi laid his head against his right hand and stared at Yamato with those soft onyx eyes. “So?”
“S-so?”
“Konoha’s most relatable trans person. That’s a pretty big accomplishment.”
“It is?”
“Mmmhmm. So big, in fact, that Naruto’s out walking the streets trying to get people to change their vote to him.”
The mental image those words conjured up was just enough to get Yamato to chuckle. Naruto was one of the most determined people he had ever met in his life. There was no doubt in his mind that the kid would be out all day if he had to be, just to secure himself the title as ‘most relatable trans person’.”
“Should we stop him?” He asked.
“In a few hours,” Kakashi confirmed. “After I treat the winner of this weird little poll to a celebratory lunch. Yamato couldn’t help but respond to Kakashi’s words with a raised eyebrow. A look that was immidiatly rewarded with a roll of Kakashi’s eye. “Yes, Tenzo. It will be me paying for lunch.“

Five anime boys I think like being the center of your attention:
(Keep in mind this is MY opinion as well as my PERSONAL head cannons and it’s more of them being attention wh0res than liking to be the center of attention)this is also out of the shows I write for so it’s not like every show in the world.
Tw: fire ,lighters ,unrequited love, jealousy
Number five: Nishinoya Yuu from Haikyuu.
He spent years pinning over someone who didn’t love him or pay him attention so now that he has someone who does love him just as much as he loves them he’s going to try and get as much attention from you as he can because he feels like you’ll leave for some one better (similar to how Kiyoko didn’t choose him.)
You look over to your boyfriend who had his arm hooked around your waist and free hand holding yours as the two of you sat in the bleachers of one of Hinata’s professional volleyball games.
You watch as his team wins, while Nishinoya fiddles with your fingers and the rings that adorn them.
“Come on Yuu, Hinata just won.” You say pulling him from his seat, to go down the stairs and wait where Hinata instructed the two of you to wait earlier.
The two of you see Kiyoko and Tanaka standing there as well as Yachi who waved at you. You give them a small smile as a greeting before Yuu moves in front of you wrapping his arms around your waist.
You interlock your hands behind his back watching as Kiyoko swats away Tanaka’s hand and Yuu sticks his tongue at him.
Number Four: Honey senpai from Ouran high school host club.
For this one it’s like either he is very clingy and wants all the attention he can get from you or he just wants you to stand there and look attractive.
You open up the doors to music room three because your boyfriend honey had called and asked for you to come.
“Honey?” You call into the almost empty room.
“There you are (y/n)!” He says appearing out of thin air.
“Come on we have to go eat cake!” And that’s what the two of you do.
Well at least that’s what he does, while staring holes into your forehead.
You look up and smile at him, which he is t satisfied by as he blushes and continues eating his cake like he wouldn’t have fried your brains if he had laser beam eyes a second ago.
Number three:
Lev Haiba from Haikyuu!!
Now for this one I think that not only does he like being the center of attention it’s just also best that you watch what he’s doing, because he probably gets into places he shouldn’t.
“Lev?” You call after looking down for a moment noticing your very tall and hard to lose boyfriend was no longer in your line of vision.
“Lev?” You ask again looking around for him as you stand up. The two of you were next to a pond, you know he wouldn’t have walked into the pond itself or anything so reluctantly you turn around.
And you see your boyfriend with his lanky limbs tangled in a jungle gym that he’s far to tall to be in.
He makes eye contact with you and smiles like a dork.
You roll your eyes and sit back down, he got himself in there, he could probably get himself out.
Number two:
Mizuki from Kami-sama kiss.
He had people leave him in his past, so I think that it’s not really so much of liking the attention just the idea that if you’re in his arms or sitting near him or even just watching him you can’t possible disappear.
“Are you listening (Y/n)?” Mizuki asks sounding panicked as you look at a lake.
“I was listening.” You say making eye contact. He resumes his story and your eyes once again fall back onto the water.
“(Y/n), you’re not listening” he whines leaning into you until he’s able to put his head in your lap.
“I was listening” you defend lifting your arms to make room for him as you gently run your fingers through his soft hair.
Satisfied he continues the story on the verge of sleep.
Number one:
Kaidou Shun from The disastrous life of Saiki K
As much as he can’t handle being the center of your attention he also can’t handle not being the center of your attention.
I head cannon that whenever he wants to show anyone something more over you something he’s constantly looking back asking if you were watching and if he so much as suspects that you weren’t watching, he’s doing what ever he wanted to show you again and making sure you watch. This process can go on for hours so it’s best to just watch what he wants you to see the first time.
“Are you watching?” Kaidou asks for what feels like the hundredth time as he attempts to light something on fire.
“Yes Kaidou, I’m watching.” You sigh watching as your boyfriend wiggles his hand and clumsily pulls out a bright neon pink campfire lighter lighting the paper on fire which quickly goes out. (The joke is he expected you to not see the big bright lighter)
“Did you see?” He asks excitedly as he comes towards you.
“Yes I saw, but let’s not play with fire, how about you get the deck of cards from your room.” You say trying to prevent him from lighting another one of his bandages on fire as earlier he had to stop drop and roll.
He quickly nods running to grab the magic deck of cards.

☆*:.。 NRC HAS A MAID CAFE ?!? .。.:*☆
Note: sooo this is my first writing ! Omg I’m so nervous I have never written for any fandom before but I wish this goes well 🙏🏻😂 anyway, hope y’all like it and if you have any thoughts about it pls comment I would really appreciate it ☺️💖💖
Summary: NRC was organizing a school festival to attract new students and also to let the guys have a day of fun and chill. However the dorm leaders were out of ideas while deciding what activities they were gonna have, until you decided to talk about some options of what your school used to do in this kind of events (before coming to twisted wonderland), most of those activities were really alike to what NRC already had, except one thing ...
- when you mentioned that in your “dimension” there was different options that could be introduced in NRC at the festival he was actually pretty interested. Obviously he would have to make some changes so that “activities” could fit in Heartslabyul rules but, he never thought that he could have the opportunity to see you in such an ... outfit.
- Who does he think he can fool ? He’s a blushing mess and can’t even look at you in the face. How can he ? The moment you got out of your room with that white coping, that really short skirt, and oh god the stockings
- You look so cute and obedient and hfkogkebdiej
- The plan was simple, you were a “maid” and the boys attending the clients at your side were butlers, easy ! Except from the part of talking to you
- He’s angry because he can’t believe that such an outfit has this power over him and he thinks “god Riddle get yourself together and just talk to her about the menu” but somehow you think he’s angry for some strange reason since he tends to get all red face when he is angry (poor bean he’s trying his best to not collapse)
- HE’S A GENTLEMAN ! HE DIDNT HAVE SUCH A HARD UPBRINGING FOR NOTHING !! he goes with a straight face to your direction and then .... “(y/n) ! Have you learn your lines ?! Customers need the best of attention from this establishment !!” (Riddle this is just a classroom turned into a maid cafe, chill)
- “Ah sure Riddle-senpai, just look *you clear your throat* Welcome home master !!”
- Riddle.exe has stopped responding
- what ? A maid cafe ? Isn’t it just like the rest of the maids at his palace in Afterglow Savana ? He’s used to being attended by this kind of servitude at his homeland but he had never seen Classic or French (I leave that to your imagination ☺️) maid style
- He thinks “ohoho this can be quit interesting” and has that smug smirk in his face, OF COURSE he’s gonna take this opportunity to tease you
- However after he sees you in that cute and tempting outfit, for a little moment (just a little moment) he doesn’t want to admit it he goes shy, stops just a moment to admire you from head to toe in your outfit, you go like “what? “ and then he just shrugs it out just in time before you notice “hmph are you some kind of panda ?”
- Seems like he doesn’t care but actually you never get out of his view, he drinks his woman respect juice every morning but not the rest of the students
- If he sees that some idiot gets a little too close to you he may roar from across the cafe and shoot some killing glares to those idiots and problem solved
- Don’t get it wrong, he’s still Leona and may slide the tip of his tail under your skirt a little ... just a little 😏
- He listens to all your descriptions of the activity of the maid cafe, takes notes and adds some good ideas so everything’s on point
- He’s pretty chill the majority of the time while preparing everything, he even helped you to practice your lines so you could attend customers with the best training !
- Until ... he saw you in character. It was kind of a self goal since he told you to not get out of character when you wear your uniform, how fool and unfortunate (lucky) soul he was
- “Ashengrotto- sama ? I had some doubts about the menu ...” “yes ? (Y/...n)”
- his glasses break
- Azul.exe has stopped responding x2
- His mind can’t process all the things that are going on, you , on a cute really really short skirt, calling him “sama” with your innocent voice, and OH LOOK AT THAT
- THIGHTS
- he didn’t know he had a thing for thights until this day
- Tries to solve all your doubts without stuttering but fails miserably
- Thinks really seriously in a way to make you sign a contract where you accept to wear that outfit whenever you visit octavinelle (azul that’s practically impossible but ok try 😂)
- OMG A MAID CAFE ?! It’s foreign and interesting !! This guy is all in after you finish to talk about your idea
- Kalim is also used to being all pampered and having hundreds of people attending him at all times so he’s really curious about what is the difference between what he knows and what you know
- You tell him that is nothing too awesome, but is more to have fun in getting into character of “master and servant” BUT NOTHING IS BORING IF YOU ARE IN IT he tells you that you don’t need to worry and he just wants to participate in the experience
- He doesn’t assist as a butler but like a customer, and the night before the event he can’t sleep from the excitement, “Jamil, how do you think is a maid ?” “Idk Kalim sleep now” “ne~ ne~ Jamil do you think that (y/n) will call me master? tehehe” “OMG KALIM ENOUGH” poor Jamil he also couldn’t get enough sleep that night
- He’s one of the first clients to arrive and oh god ... when he finds you. He doesn’t know what is it with that uniform that it makes you look ADORABLE AND BEYOND also ... kind of .... ?? (Sexy kalim the word you look for is sexy) he just doesn’t know how to react the very first seconds but doesn’t last long until
- “Kalim-sama ! Welcome back, we are so enlightened to see you again”
- What is this ? Why is he feeling funny things in his stomach, every time he’s called like that in his palace it doesn’t happen anything, is something of everyday but now...
- “.... kalim-sama ?” “AH ! Sorry sorry ! Haha I zoned out , say ... could you say that again ? It was so fun !” “Uh.. hu, of course, if that’s my master’s wish !! ☺️” (HAPPY BOY HAPPY BOY HAPPY BOY)
- He probably is inside the maid cafe for very long time just to hear you every time you come around
- “Is everything alright master ? Would you like something else ?” “YES ! One more parfait please !! “ meanwhile Jamil is like “KALIM STOP, YOU HAVE ALREADY ORDERED 30 PARFAITS !!!, what are we going to do with all of this ?!”
- “the potato ? As a servant ? That’s hilarious” Vil is aware of all the maid thing since where he comes from wealthy families tend to have this kind of employees in their mansions
- NEVERTHELESS he can’t have a girl/boy in NRC dressed as a maid and you NOT 👏🏻 BEING 👏🏻 ON 👏🏻 POINT
- DRESS ! Check HIGH HEELS ! check STOCKINGS ! Check .... he goes on and on
- “Vil-senpai, I’m really grateful that you have taken your time to help me but don’t you think that your dorm also needs help-?” “SHUT UP GRACELESS POTATO we are not getting out this classroom until you learn how to move graciously in those high heels between tables while holding the tray , NOW LETS START AGAIN”
- At the end of the day somehow you have managed to make him happy, the next day you will show all your effort to Vil !
- He comes with Rook, it seems that he’s looking for you with his eyes but when you look back at him you never expect to receive such a gentle and proud look
- “Vil/senpa- ! I mean ... “Vil-sama !! Welcome ☺️” you say nervous yet excited to see him there. “Good enough, it looks like even dirty potatoes can turn into princess” (you are like “wait I’m the maid here, not a princess 😅”)
- Vil leans forward and puts a string of hair behind you ear and says in a low voice so only you can hear “a really pretty potato indeed”
- He enters the maid cafe and leaves you blushing in the entrance
- “Are we gonna treat ourselves or what potato ?! “ “ ah ! I’m so sorry master !!”
- Vil has a satisfied smile
- He is so grateful that every time he attends councils is via LIVE ‘cause the moment you said “maid cafe” he spilled the beverage he was drinking
- “m-m-m-mAID CAFÉ ?!” He can’t believe this is happening, for some seconds he can feel a creepy smile appearing in his face until ...
- “But how am I going to go to the cafe ?, I can have Ortho going there but knowing him he will focus the camera on desserts and not in (y/n) costume ... NOT THAT IM A CREEP OR SOMETHING Ijustwanttoseearealmaidinaction well is not that she’s/he’s “real” per say but-“
- Ortho is listening to all his mumbling from back his seat
- “Onii-chan 😊”
- “Ah... what is it Ortho ?”
- “Just go 😠”
- It took A LOT from his little brother to convince him to go and look for you
- The day of the festival it was CROWDED as hell and he was sooo grateful that the classroom where you were having the cafe had a window that had a view to one of the gardens
- He was peeking all the movement from the window looking for you, but some minutes passed and he started thinking (what am I thinking ? Obviously she’s not gonna see me from here ... but entering is NOT an option either ... maybe I just should go-) “Iidia-San?”
- You scared the crap out of him, he was lost in thought but thanks to that he didn’t go
- “Ah! Sorry sorry, Um ... (you remember your character) “iidia-sama, is something the matter ? Why are you out there ?”
- Perhaps Zeus had pity on his soul. You look SO CUTE SO ADORABLE SO SEXY-
- “Uh.... no, it’s just ... there’s a lot of noise inside” you know about his anxiety and you tell him “well, doesn’t my master want something ? I can bring him anything he desires to this window if Iidia-sama wishes”
- He just had a nosebleed
- “I-Iidia- sama ?!” “Ah ! Sorry .... Um yeah o-one crepe... p-please”
- He goes back to Ignihyde with a delicious crepe and a memory of you calling him master... but wait a sec...
- “WHY DIDNT I BROUGHT A CAMERA?!?!?!?!” “I ALSO COULD HAVE RECORDED HER/HIS VOICE DAMN IT!!!!”
- maid ... cafe ? This is interesting
- He was processing everything, from the concept and your explanation to all of the reactions that caused in the guys
- (Why were they so shocked ? Well I guess I will have to find out)
- He’s royalty and everyone calls him “sama” all the time, well except from Lilia, so he thinks that a bunch of butlers calling him that again isn’t any different ... but you 🤔
- How intriguing, you always call him “senpai” or “san” ... now this have caught his attention
- His dorm was organizing everything quite well and as usual Diasomnia had really disciplined members so his presence wasn’t really that necessary so he went to Lilia and asked him about this “maid cafes”
- Lilia knew about the maids but also didn’t understand the concept of mixing maids and cafes, but Lilia being the little devil he was he said some ... funny information that could intrigue Malleus
- “They are humans, but just like pixies they charm every man when they see them” “charm them ? But (y/n) is human ... how can she/he charm anyone ?” “Hehehe you will understand when you see her/him”
- The day arrived, and oh yeah, Lilia was right, he was expecting you to be little and with wings, leaving pixie dust behind but no ... it was just you with a strange yet cute little skirt and fluffy sleeves... your eyes looked at him and your little cheeks tainted a light shade of pink ... (what is this ? I can’t stop looking at her/him) he was in daze
- “Umm .... Malleus-sama ?”
- “Uh .... I’m sorry, so this is a maid ... you are quite powerful”
- “ uh.. hu” you just said your lines when you saw him but he didn’t seem to have listened to you so you decide to repeat them
- “Welcome back Malleus- sama ! We are so enlightened to receive you !!”
- Again .... he’s dazed , but this time he did hear you, so acting a little weird he enters the cafe, you handle him the menu and explain the recommendations
- You are so nervous trying to remember all your lines that you don’t notice it but Malleus is admiring everything about you with loving eyes
- You take his order and go to the kitchen (he honestly doesn’t know what the hell he just ordered since he isn’t familiar with the dishes but anyway)
- Maybe he doesn’t notice himself but he’s looking at you everywhere you go with a little smile on his face
- “Maybe (y/n) has magic after all”

Under the Mistletoe with the Akatsuki // Part Seven // “Tobi”
Tobi
Expendable. This is the word that Obito Uchiha hears most frequently from his “savior” and Master, Madara: Expendable. “Everyone in that group is expendable, Obito. Pawns. A means to an end. Getting attached is pointless; they are not your family; I am.” And maybe he’s right, but ... it’s already too late for Obito. He IS attached to this group; they’ve become the family that he’s never had. They weren’t Expendable by any stretch of the imagination, and Obito lives just to be around them ... even when he’s forced to act like the simpleton that Tobi is. Still, there are times when the Uchiha can have a lot of fun with these people — and this Mistletoe game is definitely one of them.
Itachi
Itachi is a difficult one for Obito to read , and even harder to understand. On one level, he’s positive that Itachi knows (or at the very least suspects) that “Tobi” isn’t who he portrays himself to be. But on the other hand, two things that Obito can read for sure are that Itachi is sick, and his depression is so immense that it crushes out almost all other thoughts. Itachi is the sole reason Obito keeps presenting himself as the idiotic Tobi, because to reveal himself would mean death, swift and sweet. He’s not even sure that Madara would have the power to stand up to Itachi. Nevertheless, the time and place for such thoughts isn’t standing under the mistletoe. “Heya, Itachi-san! Ya ready to kiss Tobi now?” Itachi merely nods, but makes no move to approach Tobi. So Tobi walks up to him instead, moves the mask just slightly off his lips, and kisses his cheek. “There ya go!” Itachi goes, and Obito breathes out a sigh of relief. Still, though, he can’t help but feel a little sad, at what he feels to be the impending demise of his fellow clansmen.
Sasori
Sasori has mixed feelings about Tobi. On the one had he feels that he’s just a simplistic moron who doesn’t really warrant a second thought. But on the other hand — Tobi seems really, really attached to his Senpai, and Sasori’s partner, Deidara. Attached in a way that seems, at times, in a way that’s more than purely friendly. Almost like he — but wait, why does Sasori even care what Tobi may or may not feel for the young blonde? It’s not as though Sasori has (or desires) any kind of claim on Deidara, right? The fact that Tobi is standing in front of him right now and Sasori wants nothing more than to murder him and toss his body to the wolves has absolutely nothing to do with Deidara, right? The fact that Pein keeps Sasori back at the hideout more and more to help with strategizing, and sends Tobi out with Deidara in Sasori’s place ... it was all for the best, right? “Oh boy! Tobi gets to kiss Sasori-san!” Sasori grimaces, as he always does, at the grating voice coming from behind the mask. Instead of waiting for Tobi to kiss him, Sasori takes the initiative by leaning up and quickly kissing his cheek. He walks away feeling inexplicably angry ... and it’s not until much later that night, as he’s sitting at his desk working on a puppet while everyone else sleeps ... that he realizes that when he kissed Tobi, he smelled the shampoo that Deidara used. He continues working but doesn’t get much accomplished, as he spends half the night pondering why the idea of Tobi being around Deidara makes him feel so unsettled.
Kisame
Ugh; this kid. Or was Tobi older than that? Kisame honestly had no idea how old Tobi actually was; he doubted that any of them did. Granted he acted like a tall 10 year old — but surely that’s just an act. He’d have to remember to ask Deidara later — did Tobi have any special combat skills? Did he know any useful jutsus? What was his fighting style like? So many unknowns, so many things to wonder about. And throughout it all, wafting from Tobi and straight into Kisame’s nostrils, that unmistakable scent of a predator. But in the wild, the only way to show superiority to a predator was to show that you weren’t afraid. Kisame walks confidently up to him, and flashes him a wide smile that showcases all of his razor-sharp teeth. “You ready, kid?” Tobi nods, and to Kisame’s credit, Tobi actually DOES seem intimidated by the death-trap mouth. That, and the fact that samehada, who is currently strapped to Kisame’s side, has his head up and staring directly at the man in the mask. Kisame steps forward and kisses Tobi’s forehead, then quickly walks away again, before his own fear can leak through his brave facade.
Zetsu
Zetsu flat-out declines to kiss Tobi. Partially because he knows exactly who he really is, and the two have been “friends” for so long that a kiss would just be strange. The other reason is because he hasn’t eaten in two days, having just returned from a long-term mission about an hour ago. He’s so hungry that anything and everything looks delicious, and if he were to try and kiss “Tobi” right then — there’s no doubt that he would have eaten him. And Madara would surely skin him alive for that. So he simply nods at Tobi, and nobody questions why the two don’t exchange a kiss.
Pein
Mysterious and concealed. That’s how Pein (or rather Nagato) would describe “Tobi”; mysterious and concealed. Being around Tobi gives him a strange feeling deep in his sunken chest, that maybe, just maybe, Nagato isn’t the one running this show. That Tobi is actually someone he needs to watch out for. Still, though, it is unfitting to show one’s misgivings to one’s (possible) enemy. As far as Tobi knows, Pein just thinks of him like one of his “children”. Pein approaches him and kisses the cheek of his mask, not giving Tobi time to remove it. “Thank you, Leader-sama!” Pein nods and walks away, wondering whether he just imagined a hint of condensation in Tobi’s voice upon calling Pein “Leader”.
Konan
When Obito was growing up, like many of the kids in Konoha, he didnt’ have a household with a mother and father in it. He was raised by his grandmother who, although loving and kind, didn’t really provide Obito with the kind of matronly emotional support that he needed. When he came to the Akatsuki, Konan more or less filled that role for him. As she did with everyone else, she cooked for him, she washed his clothes, she cleaned up after him. She scolded him when she felt he did something reckless and foolish, and, most importantly, she cared about him. To have someone care about you in a reality where you sometimes don’t even care about yourself is an amazing feeling. Konan approaches him with a shy smile on her face, her tiny dimples showcasing the young girl she had once been. Aside from Rin, Konan is probably the warmest person Obito has ever met. He moves his mask, thinks about it, and gives Konan a gentle kiss on the tip of her chin, then another on her forehead. Then he pulls her into his arms, embracing her warmly. “Thank you, Konan,” he says, in a low, almost-Obito-like voice. “For what?” “For being Tobi’s friend.” Konan blushes and smiles; as she leaves she tells Tobi that when he’s done with his turn, to come and get some of the pie she’s made, to which Tobi happily agrees.
Hidan
Hidan is blushing pretty damn hard as he walks up to Tobi; after what happened when it was Hidan’s turn under the mistletoe, it’s understandable why. “Listen, you orange fuck — don’t pull any of that shit you did last time, alright?” Tobi tilts his head and studies him as if confused. “What do you mean, Hidan-san? Didn’t you like kissing Tobi?”, he asks, and then, his voice dropping into a somewhat playful whisper, “Tobi sure liked kissing YOU.” Hidan blushes even harder, and mutters a “Just do it already, weirdo.” Tobi removes his mask enough so that Hidan can see the flash of his teeth, smiling before tilting Hidan backwards ((and Hidan is surprised at how strong Tobi is)) and giving him a soft kiss on the lips. As it was last time, Hidan is visibly flustered. Tobi smiles even wider; in truth, Hidan is one of the few in the Akatsuki that Obito likes the least. He finds him to be emotion-driven and overly violent, and these things don’t make for a very good teammate. Still; there’s no denying that to be able to shut Hidan up, even for a few moments like now, is indescribably satisfying. Hidan is still standing there in a daze as Tobi slides his mask back into place, and Tobi can’t keep the glee out of his voice as he asks, “Aww Hidan-san; do you wanna marry Tobi now?” This snaps Hidan out of it, and his loud cursing and stomping off can be heard throughout the entire house.
Kakuzu
“Isn’t this ridiculous game over yet??” “No, Kakuzu-san! Don’t be shy; come get a kissy from Tobi!” Kakuzu just rolls his eyes; he’s never really been sure what to think of Tobi. He’s been on zero missions with him so he had absolutely no knowledge of his battle prowess or combat skills (but judging by the way Deidara complains about him, they can’t be all that good). Also, there’s the thing with him covering his face with that mask. Kakuzu isn’t really one to judge that; HE wears a mask as well. But with Tobi it’s not just a mask; it’s the long black clothing underneath the long Akatsuki robe. It’s the thick gloves. It’s the way not a single piece of skin save his toes ever sees the light of day. What’s he hiding? Kakuzu strongly suspects that Tobi might be one of the more elite ninjas listed in the Bingo Book, and if that’s the case, all Kakuzu has to do is wait for the right time to catch him off guard, capture him, and collect a (hopefully substantial) bounty for him. He approaches him and lets Tobi press his mask against Kakuzu’s mask in their version of a kiss. He resolves to study the Bingo Book in-depth tonight before bed; surely Tobi’s identify must be in there somewhere.
Deidara
The look on Deidara’s face is as he approaches Tobi is indecipherable, even to the one who has the sharingan. Fear, anxiety, excitement — and something else Obito just can’t read. And as for Obito himself — what exactly IS it that he feels for Deidara?? He’s nothing more than a pawn, right? A means to an end, as Madara would say. But ... there have been times. Times away from the various hideouts, out in the middle of nowhere with nothing but their packs and their thoughts, that Deidara has shown himself to be remarkably different from the Deidara that the others (except, likely, Sasori) sees. A quiet young man. A deep thinker. Sensitive and kind. And — “Oi, Tobi; can I ask you something?” “Yes, Senpai?” “When — when I was under the mistletoe ... did me and you kiss? Or did I really faint like you said?” A beat of quiet, and then, “Senpai always says that the past doesn’t matter, so why should it matter if we kissed or not?” Deidara chuckles and shakes his head. “You always choose to remember the most random things I tell you, hm. Damn you — I can never tell what goes on in your brain, Tobi.” “You wanna know what Tobi’s thinking right now? Tobi thinks that Senpai — Senpai is one of the most beautiful creatures Tobi has ever seen.” Deidara blushes fiercely at this, and tries to cover up his embarrassment by saying, gruffly , “Let’s just get this over with, Tobi, hm.” So Obito obliges him. He moves his mask to expose his mouth, sweeps Deidara’s long hair back, tilts him, cups his chin with his thumb and forefinger, and gently leans into him with his lips. Deidara resists at first, hesitant, but eventually he finds his arms circling Tobi’s broad shoulders, holding him tightly. He HAS to hold on because he’s terribly dizzy; he’s not quite sure what’s happening to him, but Deidara feels as though he’s falling down a very deep hole inside of his mind, and Tobi is the only thing keeping him anchored to reality. The kiss finally ends when (and only because) Sasori suddenly comes out of his room, yelling “Brat! I’ve been calling for you for ten minutes; you know I don’t like to be kept waiting!” Deidara steps away from Tobi, and he’s stumbling as though he’s a bit disorientated. “G-Goodnight, hm.” “G’nite Senpai! Sweet dreams!” Obito watches Deidara walk away, just barely conscious of the strange glance Sasori pitches in his direction when Deidara reaches his room.

Can you do a oneshot with reader and twst boys having a sleepover at the Ramshackle dorm playing games and stuff, then reader suggests they tell scary stories with her story being the scariest and she starts to scare the others like in those animes. Sorry it’s kinda hard to put it into details or you can just write a regular sleepover scenario. Can’t wait for you to write about this idea and I really enjoyed your story when reader turned into a cat. Good luck on writing more stories!!!!!!😁
I have never been to a sleepover before, so, this is kind of new to me! I had fun writing this! I could seriously see MC/Yuu doing this sort of thing!
Anyways! Thank you for the request! I hope the story is up to your standards! Also, thank you for liking my neko!Reader story! <3
And without further ado, on with the show!
What if you had a sleepover? (Ft. Ace, Deuce, Grim, Epel, Sebek and Jack) (Lilia is mentioned)
“Time’s up puppies! Please pass in your quizzes like the obedient puppies you all are. This is all for today, I will hand you back your tests next week.” Boomed a certain professor. One-by-one students were standing from their seats and placing down a test on the desk of the professor.
“This should be a trick… Ah, I see, there’s no way the equation for these two chemicals can be balanced. In fact, the answer should be Calcium Hydroxide.” You mumbled to yourself as you scribbled down the answer. You took one final look at your test, making sure everything was alright. There were a few questions that you didn’t know here and there, but you tried to answer them nevertheless. You nodded to yourself, satisfied with your answers and headed to the professor’s table. You placed down your paper and left the classroom.
“Man, that was tough! Who knew that they didn’t provide the list of plants to us!” Ace whined, standing outside the classroom with Deuce, Grim, Jack, Epel and Sebek.
“I didn’t know there were so many writing questions. I actually thought there were going to be a decent amount of multiple-choice ones!” Grim yelled.
“Because you would usually choose the longest answer for those instead of actually thinking about the answers, right?” Jack asked the furball.
“Fgnaaaa… I got caught….” The creature said as he sheepishly looked to the ground. You walked up towards the group.
“Hey guys.” You smiled.
“Ah, (Y/N), what took you so long?” Epel asked you.
“I needed to double-check my answers. Anyways, do you guys have any plans after this?” You said, grabbing Grim and he crawled to your shoulder and rested himself there.
“Nope! I don’t have any plans for today.” Said Ace.
“Yea, me neither.” You replied.
“Same here.” Deuce, Epel and Jack said together. Now, everyone’s eyes were on Sebek.
“I have to make sure Malleus-sama is alright. So, I do have something to do.” Sebek said, crossing his arms.
“In other words, you too have nothing to do.” Grim said from your shoulder.
“No! I do!” Sebek yelled back.
“Okay! Everyone except Sebek has nothing to do.” Deuce said, trying to calm the Diasomnia dorm member down.
“So, what do we do? Since tomorrow is a Saturday.” Jack asked.
“How about a sleepover then?” You suggested.
“Sure! But, where should we have the sleepover?” Epel said.
“What about our dorm? I mean, it’s only the two of us, if you don’t count the ghosts.” Grim said. The others nodded.
“Sounds fun!” Deuce agreed.
“I won’t be attending, as I said, I have to take care of Malleus-sama.” Sebek reminded.
“Alright, so it’s settled. We’ll have a sleepover at the Ramshackle Dorm tonight!” Ace said. You noticed Sebek was feeling a bit left out. So, you went to him and asked him.
“Sebek, are you sure you can’t come?” You asked him. “I mean, I’m sure Dorm Leader Malleus would understand.” Before Sebek could reply you, a new voice spoke up.
“Oh, he can go.” You jumped slightly. You and Sebek turned to see Lilia standing behind you two, smiling.
“I heard everything, don’t worry Sebek, I’ll tell Malleus that you have plans tonight.” The upperclassman said to his fellow dorm member. Sebek tried to protest though.
“B-but!”
“No buts, you are going to have that sleepover at Ramshackle Dorm and that’s final. Seriously, me and Silver can take care of Malleus too you know, plus, you need to spend more time with your friends.” Lilia said to him as he turned to you. “I’ll be leaving Sebek in your care (Y/N)~” You nodded to him.
“Yes, Lilia-senpai.” He smiled, and started to walk off.
“Well, I’ll be off now, have fun!” You waved to the upperclassman and turned to Sebek.
“Looks like you’re attending the sleepover after all!” You smiled to him and he blushed slightly.
“T-Then, I better go pack.” And with that, the Diasomnia dorm member headed off to his dorm.
“Ah! We should better go too! We have to ask permission from our dorm leaders and pack! See you tonight (Y/N)!” Epel said, waving to you as he, Ace and Deuce ran off to their respective dorms.
“Welp, that settles our boredom.” You said to Grim who was now on top of your head. “We should go back to prepare for them, right Grim?” You asked but there was no reply. You picked the creature from your head to see him sleeping peacefully. You shook your head and laughed softly. “Right, we should better be off then.” And the two of you headed back to your dorm.
While you were preparing, you were trying to come up with some activities for the night.
“We should play games. But, what games?” You said to yourself. You began to think about some of the games that you would normally play.
Uno? No. You were pretty sure you can’t even get a single round done with those cheaters, specifically Ace, Deuce and Epel. You also knew that Uno destroys friendship and you didn’t need to have magic flying all over the lobby so Uno was off the list.
Old Maid? Nope. You played with Ace, Deuce and Grim before and you clearly remember the face Grim would make if he got the Old Maid, which would result in him getting mad and annoyed. You did not want to put out any fires tonight either.
Blackjack? No, you didn’t want to gamble as you didn’t have extra madol to spend. Unless, you can manage to get the guys to agree to not gambling then the game would probably be played. So, you put this game on the possible list.
There were so many more games like Charades and Pillow Fights, you couldn’t really choose. However, after thinking awhile, you had an idea. You scribbled down your idea, noted down a few things you needed. Then, you grabbed what little madol you had, hoping it was enough, told Grim that you had to go supplies for tonight and left your dorm to go to Mr. S’s Mystery Shop. You walked into the shop, only to be greeted by Sam himself.
“Oh, why, if it isn’t (Y/N)!” The man greeted.
“Hi Sam! Can I buy a few things?” You asked, handing him the note of the needed supplies. Sam looked through it and was slightly taken aback.
“What a weird combination of stuff! But, I know what you’re trying to do.” He said, surprising you. You blinked a few times before asking him.
“How did you know?”
“My friends from the other side told me so.” He said as he prepared your stuff. “I think it’s a splendid idea for a sleepover. You should also try asking the ghosts for help, you know, to have that extra effect.” He then faced you with all the stuff you needed. You were shocked, like seriously! Why does this shop have everything?! You gave Sam the madol needed for everything and thanked him. You took his idea into consideration and decided to go back to your humble dorm.
Grim was still asleep when you reached back home, but the ghosts welcomed you back.
“Guys, I need your help in an event later.” You said to them, they looked at you, confused.
“What do you possibly need help with?” One of them asked.
“Well, I need you to…” And you explained your plan to the ghosts. The ghosts listened attentively and started to laugh.
“I never knew you were such a prankster (Y/N), heheheh~” One of the ghosts said to you.
“We think it’s a splendid idea. Right, we want to be amused too, so we’ll help you with this.” Another one said.
“Does Grim have to know?” The third ghost asked you and you thought about it.
“Nope, he will be one of the victims.” You said to them and they smiled.
“We can’t wait (Y/N), hehehehe~” And with that, the ghosts went off to prepare for the ‘event’. You started to set up the lounge for the sleepover, since it was almost time for them to arrive. You pushed the sofas to one side, clearing out the middle for your sleepover. However, you did set a large mirror that you bought from Mr. S’s Mystery Shop in front of the fireplace. You were excited too, not only were you going to have a fun time with your friends, you were also going to scare them and your plan to do so is incredibly detailed.
After an hour or two of prep work, you were finished. You even set up yours and Grim’s sleeping bags, usually Grim sleeps with you, so you only prepared one sleeping bag. You quickly changed into your pajamas and waited for the boys to arrive. You shook Grim awake and the furball just yawned and looked at you.
“What do you want (Y/N)?” He asked.
“It’s almost time for the sleepover, since you’ve slept that long, I figured you’d want something to eat before we start.” You said, holding up a tuna sandwich that you made to him and his eyes light up.
“Food?! Yay!! (Y/N), you’re the best!” The creature said and took the sandwich from your hands. You smiled and patted his head.
“Eat up, you’re going to need it.” You said to the furball. Not long after, knocks on your main entrance were heard.
“Oh, that must be them!” You said and told Grim to wait for you on your sleeping bag as you went to open the door. Once you did, there stood Ace, Deuce, Epel, Jack and Sebek.
“Hey guys! Come in!” You said as you stepped aside, letting them into your dorm.
“Wow (Y/N), you went all out.” Deuce commented as he saw the lounge. The boys began to put down their sleeping bags in a circle. They began to chat as you excused yourself to go grab some snacks. As you arrive in the kitchen, one of the ghosts was there waiting for you. You tied an invisible string to your ankle and gave the roll of string to the ghost. You winked to him, grabbed the snacks and went back to the lounge. The ghost just snickered and continue to wait in the kitchen.
The sleepover started off nicely! You guys played some Blackjack, Charades and even one or two rounds of Old Maid. Thankfully, Grim didn’t set the entire dorm on fire like he did last time, the creature even focused on perfecting his poker face. But, it wasn’t enough because every time he got the Old Maid, you could still see him frown a little.
It was about midnight, when you guys finished your last round of Old Maid.
“So, what do we do now?” Ace asked.
“We’ve done almost everything a sleepover would do, maybe it’s actually time we went to sleep?” Jack replied.
“No, there’s one more thing that we haven’t done yet.” You said, standing up to turn off the lights. “We haven’t told ghost stories yet.” The boys froze.
“G-Ghost stories?” Grim asked, trembling slightly. You grabbed a candle and lighted it, and sat in front of the mirror. You guys were in a circle so no one really cared about the mirror.
“Yes, ghost stories. I’d love to hear what you guys know about ghosts! After all, I’m not from here, so, spook me!” You said to the boys, smiling. They were shocked. Why were you so cheerful with telling ghost stories?
“A-Ah…. I don’t think I know any… How about you guys?” Deuce asked. Ace, Epel, Jack and Sebek all shook their heads no. You pouted slightly.
“No childhood fears? No urban legends? Wow.” Honestly, you were quite surprised. These guys didn’t know anything about ghost stories or urban legends? Well, this fit in quite nicely to your plan, so you decided to launch phase 1 of your plan.
“Well, since you didn’t know any stories, I’ll tell you one!” Now, their attention was fully on you. You smirked slightly and continued. “There is a ghost that has been haunting humans ever since I was a child. We called her, Bloody Mary.” As you told the tale of Mary, the ghost was slowly sneaking his way to the mirror, you noticed this and nodded slightly to him. After awhile, you began to tell them how the ritual of summoning her is done. Some of the boys were trembling slightly, but all of them were listening very attentively.
“Now, they say, if you say her name three times in front of a mirror, whilst holding a candle, Bloody Mary herself will appear! And she’ll either drag you back into the mirror or drag you away to return to her dwellings with her. And that’s the urban legend we call Bloody Mary.” You said and looked at the boys.
They were scared! Visible fear on their faces! Grim was hugging you very tightly, Ace and Deuce were hugging each other, Jack, Sebek and Epel were holding a blanket over their heads or just holding the blanket very tightly. You smiled and laughed a little. They looked at you as if you were crazy.
“You know, when I was a child until now, she never appeared. I’ve always thought of her as a joke, I never knew you guys would take me so seriously! Hahahaha!” You laughed out loud, the boys all had an ‘irk’ mark on their heads.
“Aha.. It’s okay you babies, I’ll go get the lights.” You said and went to flick the lights on, however, there wasn’t any response. You tried again and again but to no avail.
“I-I’m sure it’s just because of your lousy dormitory.” Ace said, looking at you trying with the lights.
“Hmm, I’ll have to ask the principal for help tomorrow, oh well.” You shrugged. When you were about to sit down, your candle had been blown out.
“W-What’s going on? I thought you closed all the windows!” Sebek said to you.
“I did! There shouldn’t be any wind! Ace! Was this your doing?” You asked your friend.
“N-No! I didn’t even bring my magical pen! Neither of us did!” He said back to you.
“Then, how did the candle go out?” As soon as you asked though, the mirror started to shake. The boys noticed this and ran to the corners of the lounge. You were right in front of the mirror now. It was only then, Jack figured it out.
“(Y-Y/N)…. You sat in front of that mirror right?” He asked.
“Yes.”
“You were holding the candle right?”
“Yes.”
“How many times did you say Bloody Mary’s name?” You took a while to think.
“I’ve said it three tim- oh.” As those words left your mouth, you fell down. The boys yelled for you.
“G-Guys! I think something is pulling my le-AAHHHHHHHH!!” And you were pulled to the kitchen. The boys froze. A few seconds later, 6 screams and shouts of your name were heard.
In the kitchen, you quickly untied the invisible string and nodded to the ghosts who were snickering.
“Now, onto phase 2.” You said and dressed yourself in an old and torn apart dress. Don’t worry, you still had your pajamas underneath. You wore a black, long-haired wig and had tomato sauce dripping all over your body. You definitely looked like a ghost with all the getup and thanks to the dark atmosphere, you looked terrifying. You then held up a fake broken mirror shard. You slowly walked back to the lounge.
“W-What do we do?! We don’t know where (Y/N) went! For all we know, she might be taken away by that ghost!” Deuce said to his friends.
“We should go find headmaster! He’ll know what to do!” Sebek said and the rest nodded. And that’s when you decided to take a few steps into the lounge. The boys looked at you, frozen in their place.
“Who…. Summoned…..“ You started, and took a few steps closer to them. You then raised your fake mirror shard and looked at them in the eye.
“MEEEE?!”
They boys screamed and ran from you and up to the second floor. You watched them flee and smiled to yourself. The boys were breathless once they reached the second floor.
“I think we lost her.” Said Epel, exhausted. But then, a crash was heard.
They boys turned to see a mirror had been broken at the end of the hallway. Suddenly, another mirror was broken, next to the first and closing in to the boys. Then a third, fourth and fifth. They boys screamed again and ran back downstairs. However, they saw you coming up the stairs and something was also coming down the stairs from the second floor. They were cornered.
“Now….. KNOW MY WRATH!!!!” And you rushed to them. They screamed and braced for impact. But… Nothing happened? They were confused, they should’ve died a moment ago, right? Slowly, they opened their eyes to see you taking off your wig.
“Boo.” And you laughed like there’s not tomorrow. 5 boys, and one creature, stared at you in shock. They couldn’t believe it. (Y/N), the student who was always trying to not cause any trouble and fixing their messes, would be striking fear into her friends one day. And that day was today.
“(Y-Y/N)?! That was all you?!” Deuce asked you. You smiled and nodded.
“Yep, I also had help from the ghosts.” You said and the ghosts made themselves visible to the group.
“Hahahaha! (Y/N)’s plan worked!!” The ghosts said to you. The boys just stared at you and the ghosts and slowly slumped down onto the floor. They felt tired and just want to go to sleep.
So, the 7 of you head back to the lounge, with the boys mumbling something about not messing with you and whatnot. You took off your dress, got yourself clean and wiggled into your sleeping bag, Grim doing the same but he snuggled into your arms. The boys got into their respective sleeping bags and wished you goodnight. You wished them as well and you all drifted off into dreamland, where hopefully, no bloody figures in mirrors will appear.
Let’s just say, from that night on, the boys can’t look at mirrors the same ever again. Was it worth scaring the boys? Absolutely, positively, 100% yes.
It took you months to explain and reassure them that the legend wasn’t actually real. Well, at least in Twisted Wonderland, it wasn’t real, right?

Sarada-sensei and Her Boys - Boruto, Mitsuki, Kawaki
Rating: T
Genre: Humor, Fluff, and some light teasing
Warning: Student/teacher teasing for BoruSara.
A/N: Again for Cary’s @saradasensei AU! It’s just so cute and I adore this concept. Hahaha!
...
“Sarada!” A tall man with blond hair waved at her from afar.
She stopped immediately and bowed. “Hokage-sama.”
“So formal!” Naruto laughed. He rubbed his nose, that jolly grin appearing permanent on his face. “I spoke to Kawaki last night, and he showed me his progress with his Fireball jutsu. I have to say, it’s coming along pretty well, and I’m sure I have you to thank for teaching him.”
“Oh!” She snapped up and laughed nervously. “It’s really all Kawaki. He works so hard, and I just taught him the hand seals. He picked it up in a snap.”
“Humble too, huh? Are you sure you’re Sasuke’s daughter?” Sarada blushed, which only made Naruto laugh again. “I’m joking, shit. He will kill me if he hears that.”
Sarada laughed for real. “Don’t worry, your secret is safe with me.”
“And so is Kawaki.” Naruto smiled softly at her. “I mean it, Sarada. Thank you.”
Her heart soared with his praise and sincerity. “It’s my pleasure.” She bowed again, and with another wave, Naruto was off.
.
.
.
“I’m home,” Sarada called out as she removed her shoes by the door.
“Darling, welcome home!” Sakura peeked out from the kitchen door, wearing a pink apron. “You’re back so soon.”
“I could say the same for you.” It was rare for her mama to be home so early, but Sarada wasn’t going to complain about it. The smells coming from the kitchen were comforting, too. It made her stomach rumble. “Are you cooking miso soup?”
“Yes, and some of your other favorites.” Sakura went back to the pot to stir it up. “I was able to finish up my medical journals since Mitsuki helped me.”
“Oh?” Sarada took a seat at the dining table and began cutting up some vegetables. “Is he behaving himself?”
“Very much so. He’s better than some of my other interns.” Sakura laughed lightly. “Fast learner and he speaks so fondly about you.”
“What?” Sarada’s heart raced, wondering what kind of stories Mitsuki had told her mother. “What—What does he say?”
“Oh you know, the usual things a student says about their sensei. Like how protective you are, and attentive to his needs.”
She released the breath she didn’t know she was holding. Good. Nothing negative. “Oh… well… Mitsuki’s really blunt and gets into trouble because of it. I just—I have to make sure he isn’t misunderstood.”
“I know, darling.” Sakura turned around and winked at her. “Like that time you nearly slit that guy’s throat because he took Mitsuki by the scruff of his collar, right?”
“He can’t expect to touch my student and get away with it!” Sarada exclaimed, feeling her blood rush just remembering it. “And over a stupid trading card!”
“Darling, the guy was your age.”
“That doesn’t matter! Mitsuki’s thirteen but he knows better!”
“Because you taught him better.” Sakura smiled fondly at her. “I’m so proud of you, Sarada.”
Her cheeks blushed. “Thank you.”
.
.
.
“Dealing with an all-boys team is so hard,” Sarada sighed and rested her cheek on her palm. “You’re so lucky you have girls, Hanabi-senpai.”
Hanabi giggled. Despite being nearly a decade her senior, the heiress would never dream of discounting Sarada’s hard work. “Oh? And here I thought you had it easy, with your boys being all over you and whatnot.”
“What?!” Sarada gasped. “They’re such a handful, I don’t know what you mean.”
“That isn’t what Boruto says,” Hanabi smirked, then continued to tease her, “He’s always going on and on about how he works hard so he can be your right-hand man and protect you.”
Sarada shook her head, yet she had a fond smile on her face. “Boruto found out I want to be Hokage, and… well, he certainly is something.”
“Something? Is that all you have to say? You’re going to break his heart!” Hanabi lifted her hand to cover her mouth as she laughed.
“Break his—what?” Sarada paled. “What has he been saying to you?”
“Oh nothing,” Hanabi replied coyly, just that you were going to be his wife, and he was determined to protect you and love you until his dying breath.” The heiress laughed again at Sarada’s horrified expression.
“He’s just a kid!”
“Oh shush, you’re like what? Three years older than him? You may eat your words once he has his growth spurt, you know.”
“Oh my god, I can’t believe you’re setting me up with your nephew—my own student!” Sarada hid her face behind her hands, absolutely mortified.
Hanabi wagged a finger at her. “My, my, Sarada-sensei, don’t rule him out just because he looks the way he does now. He’s growing and certainly fond of you. Just you wait. You’ll eat your words.”

ᴅᴀʏ 3; ғᴀᴠᴏʀɪᴛᴇ ʙᴀᴄᴋɢʀᴏᴜɴᴅ sᴛᴏʀʏ
-> kageyama tobio
𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐭; kageyama finds comfort through middle school in his teammate's little sister, kunimi y/n. (ficlet/scenario)
𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬; mentions of bullying.
𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭; 1.6k
𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐫𝐞; fluff.
since you were little, akira was always there. mom and dad had jobs, which meant they were away from dusk till dawn. your brother walked you to school, picked you up, made dinner every day until you were big enough to help him. he hated doing those stuff, if he could've been lazy, he would've, but his responsibility to you was bigger. as you grew up, the one year difference started to become less and less noticable, then it wasn't him getting up earlier to make breakfast, it was you waking him up or he'd be late for school. you started to realize that your brother wasn't the knight in shining armor you thought he was, he was a normal school boy, not that it was a bad thing, but to wake up from your childish world was certainly a bummer. when akira got into middle school, he chose the one closer to your elementary school. to your surprise, a certain club activity had caught his eye, which lead to you waiting on the bleachers most days, refusing to go home alone. you liked spending time with him.
soon, you started taking part in their trainings, picking up balls, delivering water, learning everything from watching. the coach had took you in as an apprentice, much to akira's surprise. once you got to middle school, you were officially the team's manager. all akira's friends, if you could call them that, were your friends too. except for one. the wonder setter, kageyama tobio, avoided conversation with you at all costs, even if you wanted to give him some advice on their plays, or hand him a towel after practice. your brother didn't bothered with those small things, but it was exasperating to you.
"do you know if kageyama-kun has problems at home?" kindaichi had accompanied the kunimi siblings on their way home, with the excuse of having a project to do with akira. you, right between of them, gained weird looks from both.
"i don't think so" aswered kindaichi, kunimi couldn't care less about his troubles at home, instead, he caught on a detail.
"since when he's kageyama-kun?"
"he has always been kageyama-kun"
"no, only coach calls him that" to your silence, he scrunched his nose in a a disgusted mock "maybe that's why he doesn't like you"
"he doesn't like me!?" the two boys laughed at your reaction, there were few people allowed to hear akira's laugh, both you and kindaichi were glad to be one of them.
that conversation stuck in your brain through the day, and the one after, even at practice. you never gave it much thought to it, but now you realized how everyone showed kageyama a funny amount of respect, your classmates on the very edge of calling him '-sama'. if that is what he's used to, no wonder he didn't like you. your mind had gone through a complete rollercoaster, triggered by coach asking you to deliver a few papers to your upperclassman. when you finally divised him, sitting alone in his homeroom, you gulped nervously.
"um, hey, uh, coach asked me to give you this, so, there it is... kageyama-san" be aware, kageyama instantly knew something was bothering you. despite his dark aura, you always treated him like an equal, not being affraid of talking to him or call him less formal honorifics. he liked that, a lot. you, in your own way, made him feel normal.
as you handed him the papers with new game strategies, your eyes met his. your whole body paralyzed, being unable to let go of the pieces both of you were grabbing.
"don't call me that" his mouth spoke by itself, followed by a subtle blush on his cheeks.
"what?" now you were flustered, and your unconscious aggressive response made kageyama feel more nervous than he already was.
"well, y-you used to call me, uh, kageyama-kun, and n–"
"oh! i thought– nevermind, it's not important, kageyama-kun".
tobio had to pinch his arm to erase the smile on his face the rest of the day.
*.✧☆゚.*・。✧*⊰⊹ฺ
the team had grown apart, everyone could see that. more than once you argued with the coach, who stated that as long as they won, nothing else mattered. you disagreed. akira usually spoke with kindaichi about how tired they were of keeping up with "the king in the court", how they called kageyama, sicked by his selfish way of playing. they weren't wrong, kageyama lived up to his reputation, but nobody tried to help him either.
"he's fourteen! he needs help and you should give it to him! stop being a lousy coach and do something! you were there for oikawa senpai, be there for kageyama!" the coach was fond of you, but he was done with your constant yelling and reprimanding.
"if you don't like how i do things, you're welcome to leave" and you did. you left the team you loved as a family, shoving the feeling of impotence down your throat.
that was nothing compared to your fight with your brother hours after coach gave them the news, one of the few times he actually worried and got involved in your doings.
"the only way for you to go to aoba jōsai is through a scholarship! a scholarship which coach decides who recommend or not!" your house was filled with screams, an unusual situation in the kunimi household.
"i can't stand by when you're basically bullying kageyama and coach lets you!"
"stop being dumb and don't risk your future because of that jerk!"
"you're more of a jerk than he is, akira!"
it ended with you ignoring your brother for almost a week, and he doing the same. if there was one thing he was, besides lazy, was prideful. and you weren't behind in that topic.
kageyama, who had a habit of watching you through the day, could see that too. it was none of his business, he knew that, but you seemed so upset...
"hey, uh, kunimi-chan" he sat beside you during lunch break, he was aware that you had lunch in the yard and not in the cafeteria, looking for a quieter place.
"call me y/n, please" despite being angry at the world, you did your best to treat him nicely. he needed someone nice in his life.
"y/n" he muttered, more to himself than to you "i'm, i noticed that... you're upset, i wanted to make sure you are okay" he was so innocently sweet, you thought, you couldn't escape a smile.
"it's been a rough week" you answered, not wanting to say why you fought coach and akira.
"i know a thing or two about rough weeks" so it did bother him what his teammates were doing. a small feeling of relief went through your body, you weren't fighting a lost cause. both stayed silence for a few minutes, before you spoke.
"i'm sorry" he looked at you, confused "for akira and kindaichi". out of nowhere, he laughed, and your heart skipped a beat.
"you don't have to apologize for what your brother does, it's not your fault he's not good enough to keep up with me". there it was, the usual kageyama. despite of the sour flavor of hearing someone talk down on your idiot brother, you giggled, his honesty was quite entertaining.
"i meant... nothing, it's fine" that was the longest conversation kageyama had had with anyone outside of the court in a long time "i have to go" it was true, you were meeting a teacher for extra credit, he looked at you walking away, and blushed when you turned around catching him. "thanks for caring" and with that, you left.
he didn't know what it meant the marathon his heart was running, or his sweaty hands, or that smile glued on his face. he hoped it was something good.
*.✧☆゚.*・。✧*⊰⊹ฺ
the third years were finally graduating, yūtarō couldn't shut up about it. akira was kind enough, a rare act on your brother, to let him talk all he wanted. last day of school, but kageyama was nowhere around, making hard your wish to congratulate him. looking through the hallways on every floor, you heard a conversation between two girls.
"what is the volleyball team going to do without their stars now?" one teased.
"don't be silly, after their last game, i doubt they can play together anymore" you knew they lost their last game, but akira said it was nothing. curiosity burning in your lungs, you had to ask the girls what they were talking about. "the spikers left the setter by himself, the wouldn't hit any ball, like, on purpose".
oh you were going to kill akira, he had gone to far. but most importantly, you had to find kageyama. thirty minutes later, you found him sitting in a stair just as the last bell rang. he was officially a high schooler now. to see him, sitting alone, hoping anybody would find him, broke your heart into tiny pieces.
"congratulations, kageyama senpai" you spoke taking a place by his side. he wasn't his usual self with you.
"you don't have to" he was sulking hard.
"but i want to" his eyes opened wide when your two arms wrapped his shoulders into a warm hug. no one outside his family ever hug him. he stayed there, enjoying the closeness while trying to avoid the fact that a girl, no, you were hugging him. "what highschool are you going?" kageyama's hope went too far up, hoping to see you at his new highschool someday.
"karasuno".
"i guess i'll see you there, then".

Janon: (shrugging) Yeah, but there's like a 90% chance of me being right most of the time, so that's not proof you were listening. That's just a good guess.

Yamguchi x Reader (Meeting the team)
A/n: I don’t know how this ended up so long. Not my best writing for sure, but I got it done.
Warnings: Little bit of angst from slightly insecure reader but it ends in fluff don’t worry.
Words: 2k
Disclaimer: I don’t own Haikyuu or any of its characters. All rights belong to Furudate-sensei.
(Story below cut)
“Why haven’t you met the volleyball team yet?” The vice-president of the student council asked you as the two of you walked towards the office to hand in a stack of club forms. “Isn’t your boyfriend part of the team? I heard they have a really big tournament coming up.”
You gave a bashful smile to your upperclassman, “He always insists on picking me up from the student council room since we end club activities around the same time. I guess I never really had time to think about it.”
“Hm, I guess that makes sense. You are the first year representative, so it’s not like you have a lot of free time.” With a contemplative look, she continued, “Still, they seem like a close team, so you should probably at least introduce yourself.”
Before you could respond, you realized you had reached your destination. Putting the conversation on hold, you went in and briefed the teacher in charge of student council supervision on the changes in clubs from the previous year’s. Despite being only a first year, you had been placed in charge of managing club activities while the president focused on other areas of the school. Of course, you had the vice-president to help, but it was a time-consuming task you had thrown yourself into on your first day in your determination to prove yourself.
Once everything was settled, the two of you walked out of the office towards the student council room. The silence gave you time to think about what the other girl had said. Maybe she’s right? They do seem important to him. You thought to yourself.
Seeing your face scrunched up in concentration, your upperclassman laughed, “Are you thinking about your boyfriend?”
You blush at the fact that she read you so easily. It was one of your many traits, but you never got used to how easily some people could read you.
Ruffling your hair as she often did to her kohai, she smiled and pointed in the direction of the gym, “Why don’t you go over there now? We just have to record our hours and tidy up the room a little, and I can do both for you. Go surprise him!”
Feeling encouraged by your senpai’s enthusiasm, you nod gratefully and run until you hear the tell tale signs of squeaking shoes on the gym floor. With your adrenaline running high, you don’t hesitate going through the door but regret your decision as soon as you feel all eyes turn to you.
A beat of silence passed.
“WOAAAHHH A PRETTY GIRL CAME TO WATCH OUR PRACTICE!” A short boy with spiky brown hair shouted. Stars were practically shining through his eyes.
“Thank you Kami-sama for blessing us with this sight.” A bald boy said with his hands clapped together as if he were praying. If you squinted you could almost see a holy light shining down on him.
“Pretty!!” The short orange haired boy blurted out. Wait, is that Hinata? You briefly wondered before your view was blocked by a tall figure.
“Y/n? What are you doing here?” Your boyfriend asked while shielding you with his frame and grabbing your hand.
“Hehe,” you chuckled nervously. Hopefully he wouldn’t get mad, not that Tadashi has ever really gotten mad at you before. “Surprise?”
A blush spread over the green haired boy’s face. It didn’t take much for him to get flustered. Honestly, the fact that he is dating you still baffles him despite the months you’ve been together. Seeing your slightly nervous smile made his stomach flutter with butterflies.
“Oi, why is this shorty disturbing our practice time?” An irritated voice came from behind your protective wall.
You could see your boyfriend’s face visibly pale. Wondering why he seemed more nervous than usual, you peeked around him only to see a tall, cold looking blonde haired boy. He was staring down at you with a sneer as if you were more disgusting than the dirt on his shoes.
Well excuuuuse me.
Feeling the rare rebellious side bubble up in you, you stepped out from behind your boyfriend and marched up to the taller boy. Jabbing your index finger into his chest, you glared fiercely at him, “And who do you think you are to be so rude to someone you just met. It’s not my fault you guys stopped practicing just because I walked in. If you care so much, why don’t you go play by yourself over there?”
As soon as you finished your rant, you realized what you had just said and who you said it to. Oh my god I just yelled at my boyfriend’s teammate. Tadashi’s probably so embarrassed by me.
A familiar hand stopped you in your thoughts. Looking up, you saw your boyfriend glaring at the blonde boy. The laughter from his other teammates at your outburst suddenly died down as they took in the sight before them. Even blondie seemed confused at the situation.
“Tsukki.” Tadashi said in an eerily calm voice. You had only heard him use this tone once and it was when he had found you being hit on a guy who refused to take no as an answer. “I don’t know what’s been wrong with you lately, but I won’t tolerate you insulting my girlfriend. I don’t care that we’ve been best friends for years. She did nothing to deserve your rude comments.”
A few chokes were heard coming from the other boys but were quickly silenced by the grey haired boy. A shocked expression flashed across the blonde boy’s, Tsukki you reminded yourself, face before it quickly shifted back to an annoyed one. You were prepared for more insults, but instead he just sneered at you again and walked away.
The atmosphere felt heavy, but your boyfriend simply grabbed your hand once more and gave you a bright smile. You gave him a weak smile in response. A sinking feeling settled in your chest. This hadn’t been your intention. You didn’t want to ruin his relationship with his teammates much less his best friend.
But why haven’t I heard of Tsukki before if he’s Tadashi’s best friend? You wondered as you were guided by the team manager to a spot where you could wait for the rest of practice to be over. Surely he would’ve wanted me to meet him, right? Unless… he was ashamed to have me as his girlfriend.
Your thoughts continued to spiral as the practice wore on. As the boys continued playing, you could no longer focus and decided to head out for some fresh air. You wondered if you should just head home. It would be bad if your presence caused even more trouble for Tadashi. He’s been nothing short of the perfect boyfriend for you; the least you could do is not cause tension between him and his teammates.
As you started heading towards the exit, you heard someone calling your name. Turning around, you saw Sugawara, whom you’ve talked to before since he was the vice captain, calling out to you.
“Sugawara-senpai, did you need something from me?” You asked politely. The tears that had been about to spill still lingered but only if you looked close enough.
Giving you a sympathetic look, he said softly, “Why don’t you wait a bit. I’m sure Yamaguchi-kun would want you to stay.”
“I’m not so sure about that.” You mumbled quietly, almost to yourself.
“What makes you say that?”
You hesitated not knowing if you should tell him about your insecurities. When you looked up, you locked eyes and saw only an almost motherly compassion in his eyes. That was all it took for your worries to come spilling out.
“Tadashi talks about you guys all the time and how much he wants to help the team make it to nationals. And he works so hard every day! I’ve seen him nearly collapse from exhaustion because he decided to practice his float serves. Since you guys are so important to him, I just wanted to meet you all but instead I made a big mess. And, and,” you hiccup a little, tears streaming down your cheeks, “I guess I just thought if I were important to him he would have told you guys about me… but clearly that wasn’t the case because his best friend didn’t even know who I was.”
“Y/n…” A familiar voice called your name. Your eyes widened in shock. When had Tadashi come out… scratch that, when had the whole team come out?
You didn’t have time to question it before you were engulfed by a warm hug. Instinctively, you hugged Tadashi back. You could feel him shaking slightly as he whispered in your ear, “Please don’t ever think you’re not important to me. You’re the most important person in the world to me.”
The tears that had been pricking your eyes turned to tears of happiness at his words. You pressed your face closer to his chest where his heart was beating a mile a minute.
“Are you done?” A familiar flat voice came from behind your boyfriend.
A sense of dejavu washed over you. Instead of getting angry like last time, you shied away from the blonde haired boy. You peeked up at your boyfriend and was shocked to see him glaring even more harshly at the other boy.
Not wanting another incident, you stepped out from around your shield. You met his eyes, “I know you don’t approve of my relationship with Tadashi, but you aren’t his parents. I don’t need your approval to date him. Hopefully we can sort out our differences because I’m sure as Tadashi’s best friend you also don’t want to make him choose sides.”
“Tch,” He grunted. His eyes never left yours as he assessed your sincerity. After a beat of silence, he turned away, grumbling out, “Whatever.”
The hope you had at reconciling with him died as you watched his retreating figure head back into the gym. You didn’t even see the knowing looks on the other boys’ faces as they, too, headed back inside to give you some privacy. Feeling disappointed, you turned to your boyfriend to apologize only to stop when you see an excited look on his face.
“Tadashi…?”
“How did you do that? Wait it doesn’t matter! Thank you for being patient enough to deal with him for me.” He cried with sparkles in his eyes as he glomped you with another hug.
“But, he just… what?” You spluttered in confusion.
Laughing a little, Tadashi explained, “That wasn’t him dismissing you. That was his way of saying that he accepts and respects you which is more than I was hoping for.” He looked at you shyly, “I was kind of afraid you would leave me since I had a best friend like him. He’s not a bad guy, but he can be a little insensitive to others.”
Slapping him on his chest, you glared, “Excuse me, cut me some slack. Our relationship means more to me than you having a salty best friend.” You paused thinking about how ready he looked to fight his best friend for you and said, “Thank you for sticking by me. I know we’ve only been dating for a few months, but you are my most precious person and I just want to make you happy. I’m glad you don’t have to choose between me and your best friend.”
Something wet dripped onto your cheek and you peered up to see tears streaming down his cheeks.
“Wha- wait don’t cry!” You try to console him but he stops you.
“Y/n. I love you. I love you so much. Will you… will you wear my jersey to the Interhigh Spring Tournament?” The hope shining in his eyes makes your heart melt into goo.
“I would love to Tada-kun. I love you too.” You tell him, bringing him back into a close embrace. The two of you stand there hugging for a while longer simply enjoying each other’s presence.

There’s nothing wrong with maid outfits!
Inumaki and (Y/N) play with maid outfits while everyone’s out on a mission or so they thought.
I feel like Inumaki would definitely be the type to play around in a maid outfit especially after that jujutsu scroll.
Most students at jujustu tech had been out on a mission besides (Y/N) and Toge who were currently watching anime in his little dorm.
"TOGEE I'm kinda bored can we go out and do something please?" You asked tired of watching maid sama for almost 3 hours straight. The white haired male stretched and simply nodded in response.
The pair had gotten ready quickly grabbing their keys, phones and money before leaving the premises. "I kinda wanna go shopping, ever since nobara got here seeing her with 10 million bags has given me the urge to go on a spree, but don't tell her we went without her I know she'd kill me" you calmly rambled on and on grabbing Toge's hand as you both walked to the nearest town center.
After a full 2 hours of shopping, eating and drinking milkshakes you and Toge decided to call it a day. You waffled on to the small boy as he nodded and gave small hums to let you know he was listening but something caused him to halt in his step.
"Shake shake" Toge's large eyes glistened as he pointed at the shop window a beautiful monochrome maid outfit displayed for everyone to see.
"What's up toge, do you want it?" You reluctantly asked unsure if that was what he was implying or not.
The purple eyed male huffed and grabbed your hand pulling you inside the shop. The moment you entered you felt nervousness arise being surrounded by more mature customers as the shop was clearly targeted for those interested in lingerie. You jumped too focused on the beautiful lace designs and patterns and ribbons to notice the young worker walking towards you both to give her greetings.
“Hi welcome! before i ask if you need any assistance is it okay if check your ID“ the brunette asked politely waiting for one of us to pull it out. Luckily you had just turned 18 the month before and already had applied for a provisional lisence as getting escorted out of a lingerie shop was not something you wanted to do today.
“Sure!“ you pulled out your ID and showed it to the woman before she proceeded to ask if there was anything she could help with. Panic quickly arose as you wasn’t exactly sure what you were in here for. I mean why on earth would Inumaki Toge want a maid outfit in the first place?
Toge looked at you as if telling you to say yes we need help so you willingly obliged. “well are you looking for something specific or going with the flow?” the woman asked chirpily as I once again looked at toge.
It all started to click when he pulled out his phone and showed me a picture of maid sama, pointing at not only himself but me aswell. “I think he wants to get maid outfits for the both of us” You said blushing and slightly embarrassed at the situation you were currently in.
“ooh I see well that’s not a problem we actually have some really nice designs that just came in. let me show you“ she replied walking to different sections of the shop and picking up some of the outfits that she thought would suit the couple.
“Tuna” Toge tugged on my sleeve pointing at the maid outfit he saw in the shop window then motioning back to the wonderful woman helping us. “excuse me um do you have any more of the ones that is displayed in the window” I asked politely. Honestly the things you did for this stupidly adorable boy.
“YES personally I think that’s a great choice! would you like 2 of them or just 1?“ she squeaked out as Toge put up a single finger to say he wanted one. After finally deciding which one I would purchase and trying out the dresses to get the right sizes we bought the clothes and thanked the store assistant who was way too patient with the indecisive pair. God bless that woman.
“Toto why did you want these anyways?“ You asked on the way home realising you bought them with no idea why, although buying expensive outfits wasn’t exactly an issue as you had Gojo sensei’s card.
‘after watching maid sama don’t you wanna play around in some maid outfits‘ Toge signed a cheeky little chuckle escaping his lips. ‘plus who doesn’t like wasting Gojo sensei’s money on random things‘ he added causing you both to erupt into laughter.
Once you both returned to the dorms you put all the things you bought away except for the maid outfits which Toge insisted you both wore today as everyone was out and likely to return later on.
“Well what do you think Toge“ you did a little twirl after getting your dress on. The design was simple and fluffy with decorative lace on the frills as you didn’t really want anything too revealing. “shake!“ Toge gave a thumbs up before putting his dress on and asking “takana?“
You could’ve sworn you choked on your own spit at the sight of him. The dress rested on his mid thigh and unsurprisingly the monochrome dress complimented his off white hair and black curse marks perfectly, it looked incredibly cute on his small form. He smiled at your reaction and turned around signalling to tie the back which you did for him in a nice ribbon.
"Now that we got these on what should we do?" You looked at yourself in the mirror still in disbelief that you and your boyfriend was actually doing this.
'Well I have a bunch of ideas! Let's recreate some scenes from the anime, oh we better take cute ass pictures too but make sure no one sees them It'll be our little secret and then let's bake some cakes while acting like actual maids serving our master' Toge quickly signed as you laughed at all his weird yet brilliant ideas. They sounded fun so why not? And how could anyone complain when the end result would be cake?
After taking various videos and pictures admiring the beauty you both displayed is these dresses you decided there was only one thing left to do. bake!
“well head maid Toge, what type of cake would master like? chocolate? OH maybe a red velvet?“ You stayed in role trying hard not to burst out in laughter
‘well my darling apprentice maid (Y/N) masters favourite cake happens to be red velvet! for your first day your not doing too bad‘ he signed back to me his acting over the top and movements large. “You know Toge you should take up acting i’m sure you’d be great at it“ you mocked unable to keep your laugh in as he smacked the back of your head.
“okaka!“ ‘i’d be the best actor Leonardo DiCaprio ain’t got nothing on me‘ he responded with a chuckle as we finished up making the cake mixture. (Y/N) buttered the tins while head maid Toge poured in the batter. You both had a great time laughing and singing to overly cheesy love songs making a little mess but careful not get any on your fits while the cakes were in the oven.
“SHE PUT YELLOW HEARTS AROUND MY NAME I THOUGHT THEY WERE ALL JUST THE SAME“ (Y/N) screamed at the top of their lungs while Toge danced around purposely swishing his dress from side to side until a cough was heard from the kitchen door.
There stood the Gojo sensei, the first and seconds years who didn’t know how to respond. The silence was awkward all that could be heard was the music before panda and Gojo broke it with laughter and pulled out their phones.
“WAIT NO we can explain- Why are you even back so soon!?“ You panicked while Gojo teased the living hell out of Inumaki who looked like he could kill Gojo with his dead stare.
“How the hell are you going to explain this? i mean maid outfits really“ Maki asked as Nobara, Yuuji and even Megumi joined in the unwanted photoshoot (Megumi finally getting revenge on his senpai for all the awful pranks)
“well there’s nothing wrong with maid outfits!“ You argued while Toge sulked in the corner until his head sprang up and yelled “tuna tuna!“
“What’s up To- OH NO THE CAKE!”

huehuehue what a cute request anon! This was fun to write!
Rakuzan Manager!Reader at Multi-Team Training Camp Headcanons
It was the first time everyone was getting together in a long time, and you were excited to get to hang out with the rest of the GOM
Each of the teams had their respective coaches who would handle their training, so you would be coordinating with the other managers on the other duties
Of course, you and Momoi were pretty much the only managers that the teams had
When you first discussed your plans with Momoi, for whatever reason she had begged you to let her take care of the cooking
You didn’t feel super strongly either way so you were fine with her taking that role
You were quickly alerted to the errors of your thinking the very next day when a barrage of texts hit your phone
“_____-san, I implore you to reconsider your decision of leaving the cooking at the training camp up to Momoi-san.”
“_____-cchi wants us all to DIE!!! ˚‧º·(˚ ˃̣̣̥⌓˂̣̣̥ )‧º·˚ I love Momoicchi but her cooking…we’ll all DIE!”
“Oi, _____! What kind of prank are you playing on us, having Satsuki be in charge of cooking?!?!?”
“Rarely do I lower myself to this level of pleading, but _____. Even Oha Asa cannot save us from Momoi’s cooking.”
“_____-chin, I’ll crush you if you make me eat Momoi-chin’s cooking.”
“_____, it’s Kagami. I got your number from Kuroko. I’ve never had Momoi-san’s cooking, but I’ve had Riko-senpai’s and all I can say is….For the love of god, do not let that woman cook.”
“_____. Satsuki cannot be allowed to cook during the training camp. Even someone like Eikichi would rather starve than try her culinary…experiments.”
So it was again up to you to fix the issue, but every time you tried to talk to Momoi about it, she was so excited that you couldn’t break the news to her.
When everyone gathered for the training camp and you were all having your initial meeting, the sheer terror that was cast upon all the faces of the members present forced you to do the unbelievable
Tapping into your extremely poor acting skills to try and get everyone out of this predicament
“I can’t believe it!” You shout, startling everyone in the vicinity. “How could you…how could you do this?”
Throwing on the best villainous glare you could manage, you point at the boys with an accusatory finger. “I can’t believe that of all people…you would have Momoi-chan shoulder the entire burden of cooking for all of you! You’ll work her to death!”
“_____-chan, it’s fine-“
“No, how could I let this go in front of my eyes!” Forcing a sob past your lips, you throw your free hand around Momoi, tugging her dramatically into your chest. “It just pains me…to imagine my dear Momoi-chan, slaving over a hot stove for hours and hours…just to feed you ungrateful bastards!”
“Hey, what did you just-“ Kagami roared, but Kuroko quickly delivered a well-timed jab into his side.
PLAY. ALONG. YOU. MORON! You mouthed to Kagami, before quickly getting back into character.
“Momoi-chan, I’m so sorry. I put this undue burden on you because I simply did not understand!” Dropping your voice into a soft whisper, you grab Momoi’s hands and smile at her through watery eyes. “But do not fear. I will make sure that these heathens learn their lessons! I will protect you, with all that I am!”
Momoi’s eyes suddenly started sparkling, her mouth falling agape at your princely stance. “_____-chan….!”
“How could I let a single scrap befall your beautiful fingers?” Gently cradling Momoi’s hands, you place a light kiss on the back of her fingers. “Please, my princess. Allow me to take on this duty, as I cannot bear to see you overworked.” For the finishing touch, you press your lips to her forehead.
“_____-sama!” Momoi swoons, her cheeks flushed.
You were so caught up in your acting that it took you a second to notice that the crowd around you had gone very, very silent. Looking up, you noticed that several of the members were sporting light blushes on their cheeks, and-woah, did someone actually faint?
Thanks to your last minute and improvised scene, Momoi was mollified and you were designated as the cook instead during the training camp
You were relieved that it had all been settled, but then it hit you that all of a sudden, you had to cook for everyone
You thought your cooking was alright, but there were a lot of guys, a lot of tall, bulky, teenage guys who had black holes for stomachs
Your actions seemed like a gift from god to the basketball players that were there, and suddenly, all eyes were on you during the training camp
When you walked around refilling water bottles and switching out fresh towels, there was always at least one player who would appear at your side, rushing to assist you with your tasks
They didn’t even seem to care that you were technically from a different school, and you found it hard to turn them down because of how eager they were
Even calling you _____-sama, how embarrassing!
There were whispers among the players about how they wished you could also be their team’s manager
And of course, Rakuzan wasn’t taking this at all
“Um, did something happen?”
“We just wanted to eat with our lovely manager, _____-nee!” Hayama cheered, throwing an arm around your shoulder. “You’ve been working so hard for us, and your food is so good!”
“I’m glad you like it…” You reply, not used to having all the Rakuzan members sitting around you. Not that you had been eating alone, but most times Akashi would visit with the other members of the GOM, Nebuya would be fighting in some sort of eating competition with the other centers, and Mibuchi would flit around from table to table like a social butterfly.
So it was a bit of an adjustment to have all five of them surrounding you at the table.
“_____, if anyone tries to touch you, let me know.” Nebuya suddenly states, cracking his knuckles. “I’ve been aching for a good fight.”
“And you can’t brush anyone else’s hair except mine, ok?” Mibuchi huffs, grabbing your hands.
“_____. If anyone bothers you at all, for whatever reason, I will take care of it.” Akashi states calmly, and you swear you can hear something going snip, snip.
“…Thanks…?”
Following that event during dinner, you notice that you don’t get called out as much as before, which you feel better about since you weren’t sure how long you would be able to stand being called -sama
Another change was that whenever you were running errands, without fail, someone from Rakuzan would accompany you
Not that you’d need it because you were not a child and could take care of yourself, but it was hard to turn down Hayama’s puppy dog eyes, Mibuchi’s watery eyes, Mayuzumi just stared at you and didn’t bother replying, Akashi was…Akashi, and there was no way you could physically get Nebuya to budge (you’ve tried).
Eventually the training camp comes to an end on a good note
You’ve made some new friends, and Momoi had started calling you by your first name, stating how she was going to start visiting you at Rakuzan
You felt proud of how your team had done and how much they had grown during their time at the camp
As you were getting ready to load everything up, Akashi and the rest of the team comes up to you, telling you to leave all the heavy lifting to them
“Are you sure? It’s really not a big deal…”
“You’ve worked hard, _____. Please, go ahead and get on the bus. We’ll be there shortly.” Akashi says, leaving no room for argument.
Once the members have made sure that you’ve left the scene, they all share a glance before turning to the group of basketball members still gathered around.
“Before you all go, we have a friendly warning for you all.” Akashi begins, radiating a powerful aura.
“If anyone of you even THINK that you can take our lovely manager…” Hayama continues, an uncharacteristically dark look flashing through his eyes.
“_____ is a proud member of Rakuzan, and we will never let you get your hands on her.” Mibuchi’s voice is composed, but his eyes are certainly anything but.
“So don’t go getting any bright ideas.” Nebuya finishes, his figure as imposing as always.
“…We’ll kill you.” Mayuzumi adds, scaring most of the crowd due to his sudden appearance.

Red string of fate au with kakagai and yamairu
Maybe their strings are tangled and so they think yamagai and kakairu are their pairs until one day theyre all together and somehow it untangles and everything makes sense and theyre happy
AO3
Kakashi never really understood it, no matter how much Minato-Sensei tried to tell him or how often Gai would say ‘it’s fate. It’s who we’re supposed to end up with’. Having fate tell him who he belonged with didn’t sound fun.
It only got worse when he actually met the person on the other end of that red string. Not that there was anything wrong with Iruka. It was just that Kakashi never felt those fireworks that Asuma would talk about when he saw Iruka.
There was no desire to get closer, no urge to kiss him.
Iruka was his friend, and no matter how hard he tried to force himself to feel something more it never happened. His heart refused to agree with fate. Kakashi was starting to wonder if he was just broken. If this was another thing in life that seemed so much easier for everyone else.
Then he asked Tenzo about his string one day, while they were out to lunch with Team Kakashi. He didn’t make a habit of asking people about their soulmates. If they had seen who was on the other end of their string, or if the string was even there at all.
He knew too well that it could end poorly. Some people’s soulmates had died long before they found them, others like Genma didn’t have one at all and that was perfectly fine for them.
But when he had asked Tenzo, the Mokuton user got a sad look in his eyes and stared down at his hand. Clearly, there was something there, so why was he upset about it?
“They’re not what I thought they would be,” he explained when Kakashi pushed for more information. “They...I think they’d fit better with someone else.”
He doesn’t bother to ask for a name. That’s Tenzo’s secret to keep.
It’s just something that the two of them will ignore. That’s a good way to deal with a bad hand in fate, he was sure of it.
At least, he was until Gai came bounding up to him one day with the most stunning smile and a terrible idea.
“A double date?” This sounded like the kind of idea where only terrible things could happen. “You want to go on a double date, with me?”
“Well, sort of,” His heart sank. Why was it that fate told him he was supposed to be with Iruka, but hearing Gai suggest that he was going on a date with anyone other than Kakashi broke his heart? Did other people experience this? Did it hurt this much for them? “You and Iruka will go on a double date with Yamato and Me.”
Tenzo?
Tenzo got to be the lucky one to go on a date with Gai?
How was that fair? Tenzo and Gai were a terrible match-up. Tenzo looked at Iruka with wide happy eyes. He adored Iruka, was always desperate to spend more time with the Acadamy Sensei.
Why did he get the one person that Kakashi wanted?
“Fine,” pushing his feelings down, he turned his eyes away from Gai. Desperate not to let him see how much his words had hurt. “It can’t be that bad.”
It was going to be horrible. He hated this already.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
All-day Kakashi had been dreading this date. Trying to think up any way he could to get out of it. Maybe he could feign illness, or just tell Gai he had too much paperwork?
If he really needed it to be believable, he could convince Tsunade-Sama to give him some extra work. It had to be better than dragging himself out into a date he didn’t want to be on.
But then he arrived at the shop that Gai had told him they would all meet at, and suddenly things didn’t seem so horrible.
There was Gai, a beautiful smile on his face, and a stunning green Hanfu complimenting his body perfectly. Highlighting his face, showing off his broad shoulders.
It was the most stunning picture Kakashi had ever seen, and his fingers itched to bury themselves into that soft fabric. To hold him close to the man he adored so much.
“Rival!” Those soft cheerful eyes turned to him, brimming with excitement. “Iruka and Yamato are inside waiting for us!”
Iruka, right.
He was here for a date with Iruka. Gai was here for…
Giving his head a shake, he stuffed his hands into his pockets and made his way to Gai’s side. On the bright side, at least he would still be there with Gai.
That was a victory for him.
“How long have you been waiting?” He asked as Gai turned around and led him into the shop. He knows he’s late, but he can’t be fussed to care. Surely Tenzo was enjoying the chance to talk to Iruka himself. He wouldn’t be mad at Kakashi for giving him that extra time, and Iruka’s anger was something he could deal with.
“I told the other two to meet at six,” Gai smiled back at him. “I knew you’d be late for the five o’clock meet-up time I gave you.”
Always thinking ahead. He adored that about Gai.
“Senpai!” Hearing Yamato’s voice calling out to him, Kakashi looked up to see him sitting at a table beside Iruka. The opposite side open and waiting for Kakashi and Gai. “you’re here!”
“I’m not going to leave you to suffer alone, Tenzo,” Kakashi joked, pretending for a moment that he hadn’t been planning to do just that. “You seem to be having fun.”
“Iruka was just telling me about your first meeting,” great. He was already making a bad first impression. “I hope that’s ok.”
“I wouldn’t dream of telling you two what to talk about,” reaching out for his chair, Kakashi blinked when Gai moved in front of him and pulled the seat out for him. “Oh, uh…thanks…”
He wasn’t blushing. He refused to blush.
“I don’t think I’ve ever seen your face so red, Kakashi,” Iruka chuckled. “Sit, join us. We don’t bite I promise.”
Dragging his eyes off of Gai, Kakashi took his seat across from Iruka.
“I don’t suppose there’s anything I’m willing to eat here?” He asked, already reaching out for the menu when Iruka snatched it away. “Hey!”
“Gai-San already ordered for you,” the academy Sensei beamed. “He also got some tempura, but he said he’d steal your portion because you have no taste buds.”
That last part was added by Iruka. It had to be. Gai would never say such a thing about him.
“I said he had sensitive tastebuds,” Gai corrected himself, buckling when Kakashi’s head fell forward with an air of defeat lingering around him. “It just means more food for me, Rival. I’ll never complain about that.”
At least Gai got some use out of his picky eating habits.
“Well, we’re all here now,” Iruka smiled. “I guess that means the whole double date starts, right?”
“It does,” resting a hand behind Kakashi’s chair, Gai beamed when the Copy Ninja glanced his way. “I knew you were never going to ask him out yourself, Rival.”
Kakashi longed to scream. To tell Gai that he didn’t want to ask Iruka out. That Iruka was his friend and he valued him, but he didn’t want to date him.
He choked the words back.
Refusing to be the one to ruin everyone else’s night.
“It’s like a knot,” Iruka’s voice caught Kakashi’s attention, pulling him out of his thoughts and towards the spot where Iruka’s eyes were glued.
The middle of the table.
There, between the four of them was a giant knot. A red string tangled between each other.
It was weird. In all of his research about soulmates, Kakashi had never heard of anything like this, and why was it here? Between the four of them.
“I wonder,” tugging his hand back, Tenzo yelped when the ball knot tugged loose. Not falling apart, but becoming smaller. Less complicated. “Is this normal?”
“No one I know has ever had this happen to them,” Iruka grumbled, giving his own string a tug, his eyes scanning towards Kakashi as if he was looking for the other end. For the spot where his string had always connected. “Surely we would have noticed before, right?”
Thinking back, Kakashi frowned
The four of them had never been in the same room together. The most they ever had were three of them at once, so maybe the knot hadn’t shown up because there was a piece missing.
The middle was further away, but now it was here. Right between the four of them.
“What happens if…” testing out his theory, Kakashi reached out towards Iruka’s hand. The knot tugged again as if Kakashi was pulling away from the other side of his string, instead of grabbing towards it. “Huh.”
“What do we do?” Gai looked over at Kakashi for an answer. “Do we just… leave it?”
Thinking quickly, Kakashi smiled.
“Maybe if we each pull away, it’ll come lose," he suggested. “It must have just gotten tangled somehow while you were running around organizing this date.”
It doesn’t make sense, but that has to be it. There’s no other reason he can think of for this to happen.
“On the count of three then,” Gai agreed “we all pull our hand away. Fix this little issue of ours.”
“That sounds good,” Tenzo nodded. “One.”
“Two.” Iruka continued a determined look in his eyes now.
Well, this was the plan, so Kakashi may as well go with it.
“Three,” he pulled his hand back at the same time as everyone else and watch as the knot came unraveled. The two strings breaking free finally and finding their place once again. “Uh…”
Looking at Iruka’s hand, Kakashi followed the string wrapped around his ring finger to the other end.
To Yamato’s hand.
“You…” Tebzo’s eyes shot up to Iruka. “You mean I’m not… Gai-San isn’t…”
Iruka surged forward, wrapping his arms around Tenzo’s neck with a sound of pure joy.
“My soulmate isn’t Kakashi,” He cheered, wincing when he realized who was sitting across from him. “I mean, uh… sorry.”
Giving his head a shake, Kakashi looked down at his own finger.
Iruka wasn’t his soulmate. He wasn’t meant to be with him, or with Tenzo. Which could only mean…
Following the bright red string, he felt a smile pulling at his lips when he found the other end tightly wrapped around a familiar finger. Attached to a hand he had dreamed of having in his hair too many times to count.
That he would give anything to feel against his face.
“Rival,” Gai’s voice is full of excitement when he speaks again, a smile plastered on his face when Kakashi looks up at him. “I…”
“A double date,” Kakashi interrupted him, his heart pounding in his chest. “But I think Iruka’s better off with Yamato, don’t you, Rival?”
Never in his life had Kakashi been so happy he didn’t cancel plans. That he had held out and gone through with Gai’s plans and put himself in a situation he was dreading.
After all, he got to find the truth.
He finally understood why his heart was always set on Gai, and that was worth it all in the end. Just to know that he belonged with Gai.
That fate hadn’t handed him the wrong hand, it just decided to mess with him a little

loving in the rain // nishinoya yuu x reader
Author’s Note: I was in such a Kimi no Na Wa mood. it’s been raining where I am and I’m not that much of a fan of rain at all. But I am a fan of Noya-san and gosh I love him so much. Spoilers for what happens to him in the manga, so read at your own risk! Do tell me what you think!
Word count: 4694
Pairing: Adult! Nishinoya Yuu x Reader
Warnings: strong pining, angst to fluff, mutual pining, adult situations, somewhat fantasy-ish?
It was when your eyes fell on the rain, did your mind travel back to him.
Everyone you had met in your life had hailed you a hopeless romantic—a hapless statement so easily attached to one who isn’t afraid to take risks. You were afraid of a great many things, but to put your heart on your sleeve? That was something you were not guilty about. Yes, you fell in love easily and you personally saw nothing wrong with that, because the world now grew so cold despite the growing temperatures because people were slowly losing the guts to take risks.
And boy, had you fallen quite hard for someone indeed.
It had been four years since you graduated from high school. You were 24 years old now, teaching at Chidoriyama Middle School. Even the name had you traveling back to him on occasion, which was strange yet ethereal—considering how there was not one instance where you were not thinking of Nishinoya Yuu. But this wasn’t conscious, not at all. You hardly ever thought of him, really. He had worn a place for himself in some corner of your heart, like a sea shell, always boring against the rock. The making of the place was your pain. But now the shell was safely in the rock. It was lodged and ground no longer.
On good days, the pining wasn’t too strong. You had moved on from the past, of course. You had fallen for others, but no one came close to making you feel what Noya made you feel. Noya had this effervescence, everything with him was exciting because he was.
You gave credit to the throes of first love, but even that explanation never satisfied you. Four years it had been since your heart was broken by Nishinoya Yuu—who decided to travel the world because, gosh, that seemed so much like something Nishinoya Yuu would do. He wouldn’t back down against how vast the world was just because he was small and his eyes—those furious yet passionate orbs that carried fire with them everywhere he laid them—his eyes were too much for the world.
Please don’t hate me.
How could you ever hate someone like him? The curse was that you’d love him forever, but some part of you didn’t mind.
The last words he had said to you were ‘goodnight’; how strange it was. You remembered holding your tears back to your best potential, and you remembered his rock-hard face—his hair straight and unkempt, his eyes glued to your form, begging and searching for a sign that you were about to break. Why Noya wanted to see that was beyond you but maybe, he wanted to feel some pain before he left because noticing you keeping it all to yourself was going to hurt him only later.
You hate the word ‘goodnight’. You stopped saying it to people after that, you stopped saying it to your parents, to your then-boyfriend, to your pet dog, to anyone and anything. Goodnight reminded you of Noya leaving you, goodnight was the bittersweet recollection of Noya realizing his dreams but it was also the understanding that he could not have those dreams if he was with you.
There was nothing good about goodnight if it meant goodbye.
After Noya left, you had jumped into the wagon of trying to find words that could come close to describe what it was that you were feeling. It was on one cold, rainy night—and rain meant something else to you and Noya entirely—you had found the word ‘Saudade’, and your heart was full at that second. It was a Portuguese word and it meant a certain kind of longing for something so indefinite as to be indefinable. Love affairs, miseries of life, the way things were, people gone and dead, those who left and the ocean having tossed them on the shores of a different land—all things born of the soul that can only be felt.
The rain meant differently to you and Noya because that was how you had met each other.
You were walking back after a late day at the club. You were part of the chemistry club and you knew that it was going to rain that day. Yet, you wanted to stay back and finish what work had you left behind because being passionate meant something to you—it gave you the strength to be yourself and there was nothing wrong with wanting to identify what you were good at. You blinked up at how heavily it was pouring and let out a sigh. This wasn’t good.
“Oh!”
Blinking, you turned around and spotted a boy a few feet away from you, his eyes were the first things you noticed. They were fire—blazing themselves into your soul and you felt your cheeks reddening. You were certain that he was a senior because you had heard that he was part of the Volleyball club.
“Do you need an umbrella?” He asked, blushing himself, his left hand fiddling with the edge of the umbrella.
On normal occasions, you don’t accept offers like these from boys you don’t know. But maybe, this was no normal occasion at all. You nodded, meekly, though no part of you was meek—and his eyes widened before a happy grin plastered itself on his features.
“Senpai,” You said, shooting a rather sharp arrow right into his chest, mercilessly, “Thank you.”
“If... If it w-wasn’t raining, I’d b-buy you ice cream for being a senpai, you know?”
You pressed your lips together before having him come to you, opening the umbrella and heading out together. Kami-sama, the boy’s thoughts were almost loud, This is my moment.
It was then he took a good look at you. You were as tall as he was, a fact that wasn’t strange to him or bothered him. Your eyes were glued to the ground as you walked, and your hands were colored a strange pink at the edge of your fingers. Your hair smelt... god, it smelt divine—and your cheeks were flushed and he wondered if it was because it was a tad bit cold now that it was raining.
“Did you have practice, senpai?”
He was taken aback at your need to maintain a conversation.
“Y-Yeah! I’m part of the—”
“Volleyball club,” You turned to him, now realizing your faces were merely inches away, you noticed his eyes were struggling to stare into yours (they desperately wanted to look everywhere else), “I’ve seen you play.”
You had seen him play? That must be because of the Nationals last year. Now that Karasuno was a powerhouse, and after his dear seniors had graduated, third-year Nishinoya was proud to have his team grow even more—it was wonderful that he was being recognized, but it felt strange because he didn’t know you.
“What’s your name?” The excitement was gone—and if it wasn’t, it had masked itself as a curiosity.
“(l/n) (y/n). Chem club.” You said, giggling.
“Chemistry?! That’s... That’s so cool!” I’m so bad at chemistry!
“Is your name...?”
He had forgotten to introduce himself! If she had seen him play, she wasn’t obsessed enough to know and remember his name—of course, she wasn’t a stalker so it only made sense! Noya would have slapped his forehead if he was alone.
“Nishinoya Yuu! You can call me Noya-senpai.”
When you turned to look him in the eye and shoot a smile at him, “Noya-senpai,” Noya swore nothing looked more beautiful.
You were walking back home after school that evening. It was strange how your life had revolved into having you go back to school—a science teacher for kids—it was beautiful. You loved teaching, and you were really good (or that’s what you liked telling yourself); you occasionally met with a few seniors from your own school, who got to know you because of Noya himself. It was as if he was now part of a string of friends you had and there was no true way of ever exiting your life.
From a distance, you noticed Tanaka and his gorgeous wife, Kiyoko, at their store. Pressing your lips together, you entered the store only to have Kiyoko wave at you.
“Ryu-san, Kiyoko-san,” It was lovely that you called them by their first names, but it has been several years after all, “How are you?”
Kiyoko grinned at Tanaka from the side, “He lost his temper today.”
“N-No! I pointed out a mistake, is all.”
You loved their dynamic, but strange jealousy bubbled in your heart when you looked at the two of them. Ryo loved Kiyoko from high school and now they’re married—it was the oldest story in the book, the one that you so desperately wanted for yourself, but the attempt to even try to ground Noya seemed so wrong that it made you guilty for even thinking it.
Tanaka turned to you after his outburst before sighing. He looked uncomfortable all of a sudden, rubbing the back of his neck. You tilted your head in wonder.
“What’s wrong?”
Kiyoko blinked before turning to you, “(y/n), it’s just...” You were clearly not ready to hear what was to come next, “Nishinoya is back.”
Your heart skipped a beat. This sentence was always the strangest. Does your heart really skip a beat or does it actually stop for a second before it remembers that beating is good for it?
“Oh, uh...” What do I say? What do I say? What do I say? “That’s good... How... How is he?”
Ryu and Kiyoko looked at each other before turning to you. You secretly hoped he wasn’t engaged or married or came back with a kid or who knows what level of spontaneity Nishinoya was capable of? Even Noya surprised himself on most occasions.
“He’s asked the team to come back for one game. Practice. Like the good old days.”
“You should come, (y/n).”
When Kiyoko suggested that you come, you instantly wanted to say no. There was no question of ego here—you weren’t saying no because Noya hadn’t let you know he’d returned, no. You weren't even saying no because Noya hadn't asked you himself to join the practice. You were never part of the team, but strangely, they had all made you feel so welcome. You cleared your throat before feeling a sweat form on your temple, you were not ready to see him. Just as you were never ready for him to leave.
“I’m... I’m not that brave.”
That was it. And that was all you could do, too. Because, what can one do in a situation like this? You were clearly supposed to have moved on, yet you hadn’t. How could you face Nishinoya when you had both your legs stuck in the past?
Ryu shrugged before saying, “Hey, you know... Maybe, seeing him can—”
“Thanks for letting me know, I... Give him my greetings?”
One of the things Noya had told Ryunosuke that he loved most about you was how much he admired your fortitude. Every bone in your body could be cracking and you’d wink and give him a smile—your struggles weren’t a secret, they were the basic foundation of the strength you carried so elegantly. You wore this fortitude like makeup and that drove Noya crazy. When you turned and waved at Kiyoko and Tanaka right then, Ryu saw what Noya had seen in you.
Still sees in you.
It was indeed strange that it rained right then—and there was something you would never know. You were not the only one reminded of Noya when it rained; rain reminded him of you—inexplicably, the rain itself was riddled with you, awake with you, and alive with you. One lone Thursday evening in Italy, it was raining heavily; just like the day he first met you. He would never know, and neither would you, that it was also raining in Miyagi that day, at the exact same moment.
It was as if the universe was sick of the two of you pining for each other, continents away.
Noya sat inside his little flat in Italy, staring at the window, standing before it with a cup of tea in his hands. He was never really a coffee person—he was energetic without it. The rain reminded him of you because of so many reasons; it was a part of your love language. He met you in the rain, he fell in love with you in the rain, and he broke up with you as it was about to rain. Three very important parts of his life, the third one being the most defining moment.
I won’t tell you I’ll miss you. It’ll only hurt you more, Yuu-chan.
Even when he was breaking your heart, you had willingly given it to him. He remembered how his eyes leaked tears right then, how he refused to have you see him cry, how he couldn’t stop crying even as he reached the airport. He wanted to see the world, he wanted to explore—and he had. He was happy, he was moving forward, he loved many after you, yet you held on to such a big part of him that Noya found himself suffocating on random days because you were not there.
“Noya-senpai,” It was still before the two of you became a couple when this incident happened. “Don’t you have practice today?”
Nishinoya was known to be someone who could surprise another. He had practice, but that day was important. Ryu and Shoyo both had told him to skip that one day and tell you something really important. He looked at you before grinning and then turning to the rain and pointing at the sky.
“Perfect weather for meat dumplings, don't you think?”
Your eyes sparkled at his announcement, “Of course, but practice?”
Noya scoffed, “One day with my favorite kouhai is fine, (y/n)-chan!”
You blushed darkly at being called a favorite and Noya noticed. He could stare at the image of you blushing at what he said for the rest of his life and he wouldn’t regret it. Opening the umbrella, he ushered for you to get under it before you willingly stood beside him, not noticing the blush on your senpai’s cheeks as your hair brushed against his cheek.
“So (y/n)-chan,” He wasn’t used to calling any girl by her first name but of course, you were different. “How’s the club thing coming along?”
“One of the first years broke a beaker,” Noya knew what a beaker was thanks to you, “I had to fill in a bit of paperwork to replace it. Sensei was pissed.”
When you giggled, you inevitably tore a hole in his stomach. Noya looked up at the sky and pondered if this was a sign, the rain wasn’t too heavy, but it wasn’t light where you could walk without an umbrella either. The view was comforting, the air was cozy and you...
...you were beautiful.
“(y/n)-chan,” He knew he had to do it. “I need to tell you something.”
You turned to look at him from the side because turning to him completely when both of you were under one umbrella could mean breaching personal space even more than it was already breached. You were red-faced, but you noticed that he was too. Your eyes darted to his lips and then his fiery eyes, eyes that you had grown to love so, so much.
And you did the one thing that Noya knew could kill him.
You smiled.
“Yes?”
And it was in that casual glance that Noya fell for you. It was that casual glance which was the beginning of a cataclysm of love that still had not ended four years later. Noya did not regret wanting to travel the world, but boy, he sure as hell did regret not doing it with you.
*
It had been raining for over an hour; not that it bothered you greatly. You were in your apartment now, your dog sleeping soundly on your bed. You were drinking tea—a drink you knew Noya preferred more than coffee. You sighed. It was then you felt the breakdown catch up to you, your fingers tightened around the warm cup before feeling your lip tremble. You shut your eyes and felt the back of your eyelids burn at how long you’d held back those tears. It was raining heavily outside in Miyagi, Nishinoya was back, and you were glad.
You were glad that it was raining because it accompanied your sadness. Rain, in many ways, made you feel less alone. According to you, all rain was, was a cloud—falling apart, and pouring its shattered pieces down on top of you. It made you feel good to know you’re not the only thing that could fall apart. It made you feel better to know other things in nature can shatter too.
You laid your head on the table and felt your little furball nuzzle at your feet. You cried, and cried, and cried that late evening, the room feeling so empty because the one you wanted wasn’t in it.
Suddenly, your phone rang—knocking the breath out of you suddenly. You gulped before noticing that it was Shoyo who was calling you, and you knew instantly why. Shoyo and you barely kept in touch, not because you didn’t like talking to him but because Shoyo was busy with his own tours and staying in Brazil. You wondered if Shoyo was back too, and by ‘team practice’ did he mean the entire team? Did that mean Asahi-san came back from Tokyo? Did that mean Tobio-kun was back too?
You silently wiped the tears off your face before picking the call.
“Shoyo? Hi! H-How are you—”
“(y/n)?”
You almost dropped the phone.
“Yuu...” You whispered, not knowing why he called you using Shoyo’s phone.
That meant Shoyo was back.
“(y/n), I uh... Can we meet?”
Did Ryu tell him that you weren’t brave enough? Did Ryu tell him you were not ready to see him again?
“I... I don’t...” You breathed in before gulping and replying, “It’s raining—”
“When has that ever been a problem?” Noya’s voice was poison to your heart right now but god, you had an appetite for poison right then.
“Yuu-chan...” You felt tears in your eyes, “...I...” Please don’t be so familiar with me. Please don’t make me believe again.
You’re only going to leave. You can’t stay here.
“Shoyo told me where you stay. Should I... Can I...?”
You nodded before wiping the tears before they fell.
“Yes, yes. I hope you don’t get drenched.”
“You’ve got towels, right?”
You rolled your eyes, “You’ll fall sick, Yuu-chan, you’ve got a poor—” You stopped yourself. You knew he fell sick easily, which is why he was so careful. Yuu noticed that you held back, but that was for later.
“I’ll see you in a bit, okay?”
“Okay.”
So many questions floated around in your head and you couldn’t comprehend what had just happened. What did he mean by ‘in a bit’? You noticed Rai, your dog, get on guard. Your eyes widened at his behavior before turning to the door and narrowing your eyes in suspicion. When Noya meant ‘a bit’...
The door knocked exactly three times, loud and confident. Rai began to bark loudly but he was a tiny corgi that reminded you so much of Noya.
“Rai, it’s okay.”
You even named him ‘Rai’ meaning thunder. Right after one of Noya’s special moves.
You opened the door and there he stood, not even close to drenched, dry as a leaf, his eyes piercing into you. He was taller than you now—a few inches but it suddenly made him look so mature. He was wearing a pair of brown cargo shorts and a plain white tank.
“(y/n)!”
You greeted him before welcoming him inside where Yuu noticed Rai growling. He bent down and tickled the dog’s chin before Rai melted in Yuu’s hands. Your heart warmed at the sight; he was always good with animals—it was almost like magic.
“H-How are you?” You asked, feeling shy all of a sudden.
“I’m amazing, (y/n),” He stood up before turning to you. “You look beautiful—”
Your eyes widened at his choice of words. He stopped himself before rubbing the nape of his neck awkwardly. He didn’t know what was appropriate and what wasn’t.
“I thought you wouldn’t come to see me.”
Noya’s wide eyes met yours. He almost looked hurt at what you said.
“What... Why?”
You shook your head before rubbing your arm cautiously, “I just... I thought you’d moved on.”
When Noya didn’t say anything, you felt stupid. You had made this entire room awkward now and it was all your fault. You cleared your throat before blinking and asking him, “Are you hungry?”
“You know I always am.” Noya chuckled.
“I’ll whip something up for you.”
“I’ll help—”
“N-No, it’s okay—”
“What should I do?” He asked, like a good boy, and you almost melted at the sight.
“Cut onions.”
Noya’s smile fell before his lips quivered dramatically. You giggled at his response before telling him he didn’t have to do it but then sighing, Noya walked to your little kitchen before taking the onion out of the basket and finding your cutting board and knife all on his own, and beginning to chop. You were watching with wide eyes, confused and impressed.
“Yuu-chan, you... I thought you hated onions?”
“When I was in Italy, I had to cook for myself. I realized how important these little shits are. Can’t not have them in your food, you know?”
You giggled before taking out a few eggs and tomatoes. You stood beside him and began to cut the red fruits. Yuu looked at you from the corner of his eye and just watched.
“I missed you, (y/n).”
You paused before he noticed your mouth open and close instantly. He knew you were thinking of what is most appropriate to say. He hated that you were filtering words like that, but he understood as well.
“I... I missed you too, Yuu-chan.”
He desperately wanted to tell you he loved you but he felt selfish. He was the one who left, he was the one who wanted to travel the world and see new sights—he had chosen his dream over you but it all felt so empty when he actually went there. And here you were, teaching in Chidoriyama, having named a dog after a bunch of stupid words he had said as a kid, living in the memory he had left behind.
You deserved so much better than what he could give you. Yet, you went on picking him again, and again and again.
The air suddenly changed and you felt it. You knew he was looking at you, the onions only half chopped. You stopped before noticing how he was merely inches away from you—you could feel his breath on your nose.
The first time Noya kissed you wasn't planned but he really, really did think he had to plan it out. He was watching Shoyo try to teach you how to receive, which was something he wanted to teach you, but just looking at you with one of his best friends was making his heart melt. You looked at Noya watching you and grinned at him before he felt his heart break at how beautiful you were.
After practice, Ryu, you and Noya were walking back—before you accidentally revealed to Ryu that Noya was coming over to yours that day. Ryu was a terrible tease, teasing the both of you for your ‘alone time’ right then, which was something both of you had planned after all. Once you two had gotten rid of Ryu, and Noya entered your house (your parents both were at work), you noticed him look very, very uncomfortable.
“Yuu-chan?”
He could hear you call him that for the rest of his life.
“I really, really want to kiss you, (y/n).” Noya was admirable because he was honest.
You giggled, “I want to kiss you too—”
But you hadn’t expected him to kiss you right then. He pressed his lips to yours and didn’t move, awkward and forced as it was, your eyes wide but his were tightly shut. It wasn’t as if you were an expert when it came to kissing someone but you had read books and watched movies where it definitely seemed less... rigid than this.
Your hands traveled to his face and you held him softly. Yuu’s eyes widened at the sudden touch, but he saw that you were easing into it and quickly followed. You moved your lips a tad bit before kissing him properly, tilting your head to get a better angle. Noya’s hand slowly came down to your waist before pulling you closer, chests touching, his mind screaming, his brain almost shutting down—he felt you open your mouth as you kissed him and he did the same before realizing that kissing was a lot more than instinctual.
It was passion and who knows passion better than he did?
Every kiss after that, Noya blew your mind away.
You quickly turned away from him and focused on the tomatoes. You were just staring at the red fruit, rivaling it as your face felt hot, and you heard shuffling to your side.
“(y/n), I missed you.” His voice broke, and your heart followed after.
You turned to him before frowning at him, eyes wet with tears. He could not do this to you. He had no right. But god, seeing him with tears streaking down his face broke your heart.
“I have no right to be standing here, in front of you. I didn’t call you from my phone because I was so, so scared you wouldn’t pick up. I was scared to see you, but I had to. I had to because...”
You knew what he was going to say but you had to stop him.
“Yuu-chan, please don’t.”
He shook his head, “I came back,” Your eyes were sharp, widening as you were slowly realizing what he was saying. “For good.”
“...what?” Your voice was a whisper.
He wanted to touch you so badly. It was raining outside. And rain had always defined so many important moments in your lives. He walked toward you, an inch separating you.
“I love you,” You shook your head but his hands went flying to your face, “I have never stopped loving you... I...”
“What about your dreams? I can’t keep you here, it’s not fair—”
“(y/n), you are everything I need. If I want to go explore, I’ll take you with me!”
You couldn’t believe what he was saying, “Yuu-chan—”
“I could feel you missing me, you know? I could feel it. Whenever it rained, I knew you were here, thinking of me. I had to be away from you to know what I really, really want.”
“I love you so much, Yuu-chan. I’ve never stopped,” your sobs were loud and echoed in your little apartment. “Everything reminds me of you, everything—”
He kissed you to shut you up and you instantly kissed him back. If you thought he was a good kisser back then, he was a genius right now. Your hands flew to his hair and it felt as if you had kissed him just yesterday. The familiarity flooded your brain and you felt high—Yuu’s hands wound themselves around your waist before crushing you to him, Rai was somewhere in the room, scandalized; and when you pulled away, you pressed your forehead to his chest and had him hold you.
What you both would never know was that one day when it rained simultaneously in Japan and Italy, when the both of you stared out your window pining for the other, the universe decided to make it happen. Not because your love was true, which it could be. But simply because you had taught Nishinoya the beauty of fear.
For a boy who grew up afraid and believed being afraid was wrong, there’s a great deal of beauty that fear can bring in.
You had taught him that fear can make you choose what you really, really need.
So that one day, many years ago, the rain defined your lives before you even knew it.
