last night i had a dream that it was Friday, and i was watching Chapter 2 Episode 15. it was nearing the end of the episode, and Teruko had accused Ace in the Closing Argument. however, Ace was nonstop arguing with MonoTV that he didn't do it and that everyone had it all wrong. MonoTV laughed cryptically, and the episode ended on the cliffhanger...
...that MonoTV was about to introduce Ada Tobisa, Eden's secret twin sister, as the seventeenth student in the killing game.
no, i don't know what role Ada would have had in the murder.
Tumblr media
earlier in the dream episode, we had seen the left photo as its own CG, and were led to believe that it was a photo of Eden as a baby (i have no idea how this came up in the Trial). however, the end stinger was showing the CG with the two of them, and that the left picture was actually Ada all along.
anyways, call me the Ultimate Fortune Teller, because i'm pretty sure i've foreseen exactly what's going to happen in Friday's episode drop 😎

Talk to Me
Chapter 1

Lucifer x Fem Fallen Angel Reader
Word Count:4.1 k
CW: Angst, abuse, lies, slowburn,
Chapter 1|Chapter 2 (Updated through Chapter 5)
Welcome back friends! I will be tagging all chapters now under #punching-pentagrams if the tags ever have issues or if you are looking for updates from me 😊
Once upon a time, there was a glowing city protected by golden gates, known as Heaven. It was ruled by beings of pure light. Angels that worshiped good and shielded all from evil. Lucifer was one of these angels. He was a troublemaker with “fantastical ideas” for all of creation, and was seen as such by the elders of Heaven. For they knew his way of thinking was dangerous to the order of their world. So, he was to watch as the other angels began to expand the universe in their ways.
From the dust of Earth, they created Adam and Lilith. Equals as the first of mankind, but despite this, Adam worked to take charge over his responsibility to care for Earth, and Lilith refused to work alongside him. She fled the Garden. Drawn in by her rebellious nature, Lucifer found her and troublemaker seduced her to his cause. Together, they wished to the ruin the future of humanity with their selfish dreams and ideas, offering the Fruit of Knowledge to Adam's new bride, Eve, who accepted, unaware that this “gift” came with a curse. For with this single act of disobedience, evil finally found its way into the Earth. With it, a new realm of darkness and sin. And the order Heaven worked to maintain was shattered. As punishment for their reckless act, Heaven cast Lucifer and his mistress into the dark pit he had created, to live out his days as the King of the cruel and the wicked.
This was the Parable of Lucifer, known by every Angel in Heaven, memorized, but rarely spoken. His name, or even the threat of falling was akin to swearing, which wasn't forbidden but it was frowned upon. For many eons, his name was rarely mentioned. That is, until the morning his daughter came to visit Heaven.
You watched that morning as Emily, the young seraphim you served under, danced around her room as she got ready that morning, singing and flitting about while talking about how excited she was to be at the the side of Sera, the High Seraphim, later at a meeting with the daughter of Lucifer and Lilith.
You listened and nodded at her excitement, trying hard to keep your own thoughts to yourself. You didn't understand how she could be so excited, being in the room with anyone related to Lucifer sounded like a fate worse than death. You were not important enough to be in the room where it all was going to go down, and you were perfectly ok with that.
"And then! Oh! What about the zoo?! Do you think they have zoos in hell? Maybe we have different animals.... Oh I'll just ask them!" Emily squealed with excitement as she brushed her hair.
You were trying so hard not to roll your eyes, why would some hellspawn want anything to do with a heaven zoo? And why did Emily insist on showing them around? It almost seemed cruel to show them around something more wonderful and beautiful than they probably had back home in their dark pit of evil. But it couldn't be helped, that is just who Emily was. Kind and full of desire to make people happy.
You were a "right hand man" of sorts to Emily, a sort of "lady in waiting" or "aid", and had been ever since the beginning of her time as the Seraphim of Joy. You enjoyed a higher status, that was marked by your four wings, but not as many as Emily's six, which marker he status as a seraphim. You liked being by her side, she was sweet and playful. It was her job to keep the people of Heaven happy, and it was your job to assist her in that. She was gentle and kind, and that made your job easy. She treated you as an equal, even if she didn't need to, you were happy to serve her.
"Sounds great, my lady, I hope you guys have fun," you say trying to hold back any sass you wanted to add to your comment in response to the idea of her field trip with the Princess of Hell.
Emily looked at you with a smile, "Oh! You're coming with us, of course. Aren't you?"
You held a strained smile, of course she would want to include you.
"Oh... I wish I could. But I can't I have plans," you responded coolly.
"Plans? Like what?" Emily pouted.
"Well... there uhhh... there is the updates to the Golden Girls theme park! Now that Betty is here, I figured it was important to meet with her and make sure it is correct...ya know... get her ideas..." you start.
Emily floats over and grabs your hands, "Oh but that can wait, can't it? Pleeeeease? This is so exciting and I want my best friend their with me!" She gave you big puppy dog eyes.
You can't help but feel a little shy when she calls you her best friend, you were honored that she thought of you as a friend, but you knew that was not your place, even though you had been by her side for several thousand years. It wasn't forbidden for you two to be friends, just... discouraged. Due to the difference in status. You sighed, she knew you couldn't say no to her when she got all pouty and pulled the "best friend" card.
"Alright, alright! I'll go... Just... Please don't expect me to be all buddy-buddy with them? I mean no disrespect, my lady... The idea of having beings of Hell in Heaven just... makes me nervous..." you nervously confess to Emily.
Emily smiles and pulls you in for a hug, "Yay! Oh (y/n), it's going to be ok! How about this? If you get uncomfortable, you can flap your wings quickly twice and I'll give you a reason to leave, ok?"
"But won't that leave you alone with them? What if they should try to harm you?" you say with worry in your voice.
Emily squeezes your shoulders, "It will be fine. Come on! We are gonna be late!" Emily grabs your hand and she half drags you out the door and out the the main plaza to meet up with Sera before going to welcome the guests from hell. You bow respectfully to Sera in greeting and wait as Emily and Sera fly out to the front gate while you wait inside with Sera's aid, Lily, who also had four wings like you. You rarely talked to Lily, but she was also nice, more serious like her seraphim she served.
"How is your lady feeling about the meeting?" Lily asked calmly, looking forward instead of at you.
"Very excitedly, as is her nature. Almost a little too excited, but that is not my place to tell her, of course. And what of your lady?" You asked Lily.
She shook her head, "Nervous, but collected. She was very distressed by Lucifer's request for his daughter to meet with the council of Elders. Her ideas sound... preposterous, and dangerous. Just like her father's," she responded flatly, her nose crinkling slightly.
"What ideas?" you ask.
Lily looked around for any nearby souls before leaning close and whisper, "Something about trying to redeem souls to get them to give them a second change in heaven."
You blinked, what? She is trying to redeem the souls of sinners? "Is that even possible?"
Lily shrugged, "It is not our place to ask such things, besides, we have no idea why they would want to try that. It sounds fishy to me, and I think it sounds fishy to Sera, too. We have a system in place for a reason."
"Of course, that does seem silly to try to change things," you go back to your neutral stance and start to think. The daughter of Lucifer wants to redeem souls? Why? That seems like a good thing to try to do? But how could they prove they were actually "redeemed" to even attempt something like that. As far as you knew, this had never been done before. This thought left you with so many questions, that from that point on would start to unravel your very understanding of everything you thought you knew.
Eventually you see the gates open and Sera and Emily enter with two others, a girl with long white hair, wearing an eye patch, named Vaggie, and a young woman with long blonde hair in a ponytail and a red suit, who was introduced to you as Charlie Morningstar, the daughter of Lucifer. You wanted to focus on the Morningstar child but... something about the other one seemed off about the other one, especially in the way she looked at all of you. Specifically she looked... uncomfortable? That seemed like such an odd way to react to Heaven. But maybe a place this beautiful was just hard for a demon like her to feel comfortable in. A pity.
You shifted your attention back to Charlie, you were only briefly introduced as Emily's aid, she greeted you warmly and then went back to talking with Emily and Sera. You liked it this way, it gave you a chance to just watch this daughter of Lucifer at a distance. As you toured Heaven with them, you were surprise by how sweet and bubbly she came off. She talked, mostly with Emily, about how excited she was about the meeting and looked in awe at everything she came across in Heaven. Your face remained a pleasant neutral, but you were processing everything through the lens of what you had been told about Lucifer and the information given to you by Lily about her reason for being here. What was her deal?
Eventually, Charlie and Vaggie were set up in their room, and Vaggie decided to stay at the hotel while Charlie went off with you and Emily to the zoo, and Sera and Lily went off to prepare for the meeting. Great... now there was more of a chance that you would have to interact with the Morningstar child, but you were good at remaining pleasant and neutral. You stayed to Emily's right while Charlie walked on Emily's left as they went through the zoo. Luckily, the Princess of Hell was more interested in fawning over the animals than paying attention to how little you were interacting with her. You exchanged some pleasantries and small talk when addressed, but not much beyond that.
The longer you were around her, the more curious she made you. She didn't act at all like how you expected a hellspawn would act. You know you shouldn't be making assumptions but... something was not adding up. How could this be the spawn of the most hated and dangerous being in all of creation? Either she was a very very very good actor, spinning colorful and exciting tales to disarm her victims and seduce them to her side... or somehow... despite having such an awful and cruel creature of a father... this young woman had an actual passion and love for others. You were worried at how much you felt like you wanted to agree with the latter, especially with how in-sync her personality fell with Emily's. You tried to shake the questions out of your head, again it was not your place to ask such questions.
Before long, it was time for their meeting with the angelic Council of Elders, which meant it was your time to separate from Emily and the Princess. You bid them a farewell and went off to take care of that meeting with Betty White to make any additions or suggestions to the theme park. You had a pleasant meeting with her, luckily there were only a few additions that needed to be made, so you were able make note of them with the construction team and get back to Emily's suite to prepare her some tea for her when her meeting was over.
Before long you heard the quick open and shut of the door, signaling that Emily had returned home, "Welcome back, my lady Emily! How was..." you stopped as you heard the sounds of... something you had never heard before... little sounds in quick secession that would get quieter, she'd breathe in, and then the quick secession of sounds would happen again, but starting louder and growing softer.
You peaked out around the corner to see Emily curled up on the floor right next to the door, face in her hands, making her little sounds. You had heard about this, was... was she... crying? She had never seen anyone cry before. You rushed over to her side.
"My lady? Emily? What's wrong? Why do you cry?" you asked with a slight panic, you had not idea how to help her with this, you had never seen someone sad before.
She let out different higher pitched sound and shook before she looked up at you, tears rolling down her round cheeks.
"Oh (y/n), it's terrible! I'm so angry!" Emily cried.
"What's terrible? What did the Princess do? Are you hurt?" you start to look her over.
"No!" Emily cried, "It's Sera, and Adam, and Lute... They have done something terrible!"
You blinked, you had never heard her speak of her superior sister like that, and you new the First Man to be... a colorful character, but what could he have done? "What happened?"
Emily took a few breathes before looking up at you, "They have been allowing a yearly extermination on human souls in Hell to control the overpopulation down there... Adam has an army of angels that go down with him to kill and erase human souls!"
You sat back a little, taking in the news, "Wait... why... That does not make any sense... why would they do something like that?"
Emily let more tears fall, "It's how they control the overpopulation of souls, trying to keep them from thinking about uprising against Heaven... that's why Charlie was here. She's trying to redeem souls into heaven so that we would stop killing them. She-she's just trying to protect her people, and we have just been slaughtering them! For... centuries!"
You sat in silence as Emily continued to freak out and cry, this was the worst thing you had ever heard of. How could heaven allow something like this?! Sure, the sinners had all earned their place in Hell, and they needed to stay in their place... but the does not mean anyone should be erasing them!
"Who could have allowed this?" you ask quietly.
"Sera..." Emily snarled, you look up at her, and she looks at you... with anger in her eyes, it made you jump, "Sera allowed this it happen, and what's worse... she kept it from everyone! From the rest of the Elders... from me... Only Sera, Adam, and his army of angel exorcists know... The rest of us were in the dark..."
You just sat there on the floor next to her, trying to breathe, trying to work through the thoughts and feelings in your body, this was bad... this was... really bad. You never knew this try of bad could exist, not here, not in Heaven, and you felt it all over your body. Your chest felt tight, your thoughts were racing, everything was a blur.
You looked at the young angel next to you, "What do we do now, my lady?"
Emily's expression went serious and she sat up straight looking at you, "This can't be a secret anymore, we must tell everyone."
Your eyes widened, "E-everyone? Even the human souls? My lady... I don't know if..."
Emily got up, "Yes! Everyone! They have been keeping this secret from everyone! They are breaking one of God's base commandments! Now that we know we must tell the truth! Everyone must know!"
You get up to meet her, "But... that would cause an upheaval! What if..." you change to a whisper "What if this causes you to fall? Like Lucifer?"
Emily shook her head, "If something like this is what caused his fall... then maybe there is more behind his fall than they told us in the first place..." She looked at you, "After hearing Charlie... it's worth the risk... I need to do this. Are you with me, or not?" Emily grabbed your hands.
You froze in place. Do you defy Emily, your seraphim that you are sworn to serve and support? Or do you go against something that you know will make the elders unhappy, and risk both you and her falling? You knew this look on her face, there was not talking her out of it at this point.
You sigh, "Ok... I'm with you." She smiled and hugged you, and you hugged her back. You had not idea what was going to happen next, but you couldn't bear the thought of not supporting her. It's all you knew.
You spent the rest of the night planning with Emily on how you were going to get the word out to the people. Unfortunately for the both of you... Sera had been worried about Emily's outburst in support of Charlie and went to go check on her. Emily was not watching her volume, no matter how much you reminded her, so before knocking, she was able to hear Emily talking out some ideas out with you. With a heavy and broken heart, Sera went to go alert the rest of the Elders.
The next morning, you and Emily did not have a chance to start telling anyone before Emily was brought to stand trial before the Council of Elders. You were brought with to stand witness for the conversation you had with her. Emily fought and cried, angry tears running down her face as she pleaded for the safety and protection of the people of Hell, quoting how the Elders were breaking commandments. The Elders responded of how they were doing what they needed to do to maintain the order in Heaven, and Emily teared back about how they were only proving Charlie's point about "angel's getting to do whatever and remain in the sky" while the people of hell suffered by Heaven's hand. Sera warned Emily not to press but she didn't care, saying if this was the truth that she no longer wanted to be the Seraphim of Joy.
"If you don't stop this now, you may soon not be a seraphim at all!" one of the Elders warned.
Adam sat over on the side, grinning. He was quieter than yesterday, he was trying to play nice after his major slip up the day before when he revealed the existence of the exterminations, but he was still enjoying watching the drama. Sera looked over to you, eyes pleading with do something to stop this. You looked over at Emily. There was only one way you could see getting her out of this, it wasn't going to be pleasant, but it was all you could do.
You stood up and looked over to the council, starting to cry and shake, "I'm sorry! I'm so... so sorry, my great Elders!" You whole room was looking at your now, even Emily.
"Please... please do not blame her! It was my fault! I... I was so excited to see the Princess of Hell, know why she was here. I know I wasn't allowed at the meeting... but I still stood outside of the door and listened! I couldn't bear the news! I've gone mad! Emily came back and didn't want to talk about it... but I did! I made her! I filled her head with ideas of telling the people of Heaven the truth! The angels deserve to know! It's barbaric! All of you refused to listen to Charlie and I can't stand that!" you say grabbing your hair. "Please! Emily is innocent of everything besides being to close to me! Please spare her! Punish me instead!"
"(y/n) what are you doing?!" Emily cried.
"I'm telling them the truth, my lady! Don't try to cover this up for me. You've suffered enough!" you cried, flying down to the floor and standing in front of Emily, fanning out your wings to block her, "Punish me instead! I should fall for my madness! My lady Emily has done nothing wrong! Punish me for my sympathy for Lucifer and his daughter!"
Sera frowned, looked at the others, and shook her head, "What a shame, but not unexpected from you, unfortunately." That comment almost made you flinch, what did that mean? Sera looked to the others, who all nodded at her and looked at you with distain.
"Very well," she said, lifting a hand to prompt two other angels to remove Emily from the floor, leaving only you in the middle, all eyes on you. "(y/n), for your attempt of treason against Heaven and attempted corruption of a seraphim, you have fallen from Grace and will be cast into Hell."
You give Emily one last look as she screams, whispering a goodbye to her. A portal opens up in front of you, giving you a clear but distant view of the rings of hell. Intense fear flooded your body for the first time. You take a step back, only to be stopped by Adam who had flown over an landed behind you, a wicked grin on his face.
Behind you he whispered "See you on extermination day", before breaking off one of your wings and kicking you into the pit, the sound of your screams of pain mixed with his laughter as you began to fall.
What an absolute piece of shit.
Most of your fall was spent in searing pain from your one missing wing, the other three fluttering in the wind as hell grew closer, golden blood oozing from your new wound, your first wound ever. You cried the whole way... out of pain, out of fear, out of hope that you saved Emily from this fate, out of confusion...
As you got closer, you felt more pain sear through your body, but for a different reason. You watched as you hands stared to turn into black claws, horns sprouted from your temples, a tail lashed out behind you, eyes watering as they changed to red, some of the feathers of your wings burned red. More tears burned down your cheeks as you fell, mixing in with some feelings of... anger? You wish that Emily had not dragged you into this... but it was your job to serve her... and you did it until your falling day... Who knew what awaited you in hell. The second fallen angel in all of history...
You realized then, yes, would would be the second fallen angel, would Lucifer seek you out if he found out another angel had fallen? You wanted to avoid that at all costs. As the ground grew nearer, you knew you had two choices, use your wings to ease your fall and risk being seen, or tuck them away and have a much harder hit but hide your identity as an angel. You swallowed hard as you forced your wings to tuck away. It was something angels could do, but it was not common, as it was more comfortable to keep them out.
You were almost to the red floor of the Pride Ring. God Above, this was going to hurt... You braced yourself as you plummeted into the hard rock of the upper part of the ring, making a small intend in the ground from the length and power of your fall. Your body seared with more intense pain, bones were definitely broken, but by some grace you were still barely conscious.
After catching some amount of breath, you looked around. With as much information as you could process at the moment, it looked like you had landed on some old battle ground near the edge of the ring. At least some luck was still on your side. With one good arm and leg, you clawed and crawled your way across the red brimstone ground, leaving a trail of golden blood, before finding a pile of stones that were set in just a way that you could hide. Probably something someone had built for cover at some point.
With the last of your energy, you crawled into the hole, took off your robe, and stuffed it under your head as your felt yourself suck into unconsciousness.

Hello! Just wanted to let everyone know that this one will have less of a back and forth between Lucifer and y/n's point of view, it will still have that, but it will be a lot more focused on y/n until they meet. Also it might take a little before they meet, but we will get there! Let me know if you want added to the taglist!

Wait why were they looking for Kassandra? Did I miss something?
No clue. It's left at "they still haven't found Kassandra" or w/e and we have zero clue why "they" are looking for her. I'm assuming maybe it has to do with the fact that she's now a mortal with the ability to see the future? But there's zero expanding done on it so it's completely up in the air what that's supposed to mean or why it matters. It felt more like it was shoehorned into the finale so Rachel could go "FINE, I'LL SHOW YOU KASSANDRA IF IT'LL MAKE YOU SHUT THE FUCK UP" after people reasonably wondered what happened to her when she had a whole plot arc developed around her.
Unfortunately she was deadass just there as an expository device to 1.) get Apollo on the right track to putting Zeus in a coma and 2.) informing Eros and Psyche of the poisonous plant (which didn't even wind up mattering anyways because Eros and Psyche immediately got thrown into Leto's basement prison and were then never seen again LOL so it was just to explain the poison plant thing in a hamfisted way to the audience, but it happened before Zeus was poisoned, so it ruined any amount of "whodunit" tension and mystery that the story could have had because we were told right off the bat that Apollo did it LOL) Like many things in LO, it was introduced just as a pointless way for Rachel to write herself out of a corner (and then throw herself into another one).
TL ; DR: None of it mattered, you didn't miss anything, it's just dumb.

₊˚。⋆❆⋆。˚₊The 18th Day of Writemas₊˚。⋆❆⋆。˚₊
Hey y’all! This winter season for me is suuuuuper hot. Currently it’s like 20 C which is absolutely insane! I guess there won’t be a white Christmas this year(just like every other year). In November it was super cold, getting down to maybeee -1 C which again, still isn’t THAT cold but for here it very much is! Anyways I won’t keep ya here long so here is the invite post if you need a  reminder of the rules and here are the prompts I’ll be using today!!!
Prompts used:
Narration: Light fought the dark, and finally, dawn broke.
Setting:  A home + Emptiness
Hurray! More Melinaaaa. WOW! 2 boss bitches who run towns in a row!? It really is Christmas! It’s too bad Melina doesn’t care about the people of Elares or just anything there in general. Like at all. Especially the prison. ANYWAYYY. I’m going pretty far back into her past for this one, and shedding some light on her ambition for getting the fame and power(that of which she wasn’t given by being born) before she gave it all up a few writemasses ago. Hope y’all enjoy younger Melina and the cunning little rat bastard she is. :). She might just learn from her mistakes one day in the future, wink wink.
Read about the WIP here!!
Hope ya enjoy!!
------------------------------
Melina popped open another bottle of alcohol to celebrate such a momentous occasion. It wasn’t every day that you sign a deal that large. Well, maybe for Melina it was.
Taking a sip from the burning dark blue liquid filled her with as much warmness as the satisfaction from getting just a little more into her grasp. She sat down on top of the desk and picked up the parchment papers to stare at the contract drawn. Right there in ink stated all of the words she needed to hear. It was hers, all hers. Completely. She could just kiss the paper, she was so happy.
Oh, so much money! Just for a few senseless crooks. I could bathe in gold for years on this.
“Such a pleasure to do business with you. Now, I must get back to work. I’m a very busy woman.” Melina said as she ushered the well-armored man out of her office, throwing the door back onto its hinges before he could even open his mouth to say more. He didn’t mean anything now.
Hurrying back inside her room and looking out the intricately stained window, she watched over the hard at work city. Her empire. She had great plans for it. And now that she signed that deal with those shiny, Haukrosen living, castle dwelling, used to the heat, Queen-ass-kissing magic freaks to hand over all of the prisoners held within Elares, effectively dissolving the founding principles her family based the city on, she can bask in all the future glory it will generate for her. So, in her room, devoid of anything else, she stood alone to see the light creep onto the city’s streets, solely responsible for it’s existence. Without her, they were lost, and completely nothing, just fools who lived under another fool’s law.
Light fought the dark, and finally, dawn broke. Across the horizon of Elares came new plans, huge plans. Melina was quite happy to be their benevolent mayor. She was executing the will of the people by transporting those criminals to the capitol. They always wanted for her to remove the prisons and free the people inside, that is specifically why she campaigned for it in her reelection. Melina did exactly what they asked, she freed them from damnation in the Elares prisons. She giddily poured another drink and watched the reflection of the city expand, refracting its silhouette into something better. For her own pleasure. And taking another sip of the drink was just another dip into the pool of greed she created for herself from the tears of others.
For a second, emptiness left the room. But it always comes back, starving for more. Melina knew it.

It's that time of the week, again, where I come to Tumblr to ramble nonsense about Wandee Goodday!
- God, they are so domestic!
- Making breakfast?? Getting all soft and sad about being out of town? FOREHEAD KISS?? This is too much for the first minute lol
- Ew, toothpaste splatter on the mirror lmao
- OMFG this is SO DOMESTIC!
- "I see you more than I see her" and it's not all because Taem's busy, Yak!! You make the effort to see Dee more! Like last ep when you could've gone with her but you didn't because you had plans with Dee?
- "Never had to go a full round" discussion is interesting. Will ponder this more when I'm awake fully!
- Of course they make a bet to see who caves to admitting they miss the other first lol their competitiveness is delightful and could lead to future angst, which is even better!
- Okay, but I love how they show they not only care about each other, but are interested in what the other does! They show concern and interest and it's just very nice how much they like each other as people. I think sometimes romances can fail on that front
- Yak is going to overdo it soon, isn't he?
- Aww! Dee cuddling Ice Bear, looking at Gooddy, gazing longingly at the elephant pants, all because he's missing Yak
- The pants are Yak's design!! I love this detail!! Even if it's just them trying to bring attention to the pants so I'll go buy them lmao
- The 'be available but not to everyone' sign coming into focus when Dee is looking forlornly at his conversation with Yak—definitely something there, too tired and stupid to expand on it
- He is pining so. Hard!
- The billowy curtains add a nice dramatic touch to the scene
- Oh, it's been three days hehe (okay, I'd pine for Yak after three days too!)
- Ahhhhh!!! Yak and Yei talking about Yak's feelings for both Taem and Dee! I loooove this (Aw, they're sharing a bed! I think that's common, but it's still cute to me)
- (I don't think Yak does truly feel at ease, or free to be himself, with Taem the way he does with Dee, though! Not because of Taem, herself, but the pressure he's put on himself to be someone she could like, instead of just being himself. He doesn't feel that pressure with Dee)
- Yak opens Dee's text conversation first!
- Of course Dee shows up when Yak closes his eyes to see who he thinks of first! And, ahhhhh, he's SO happy to see Dee, holy shit. His face just lit up!
- And Dee is wearing the elephant pants ;__;
- They are RIDICULOUS and I love it
- Imagining Yei, Yak and Dee all wedged together in the same bed if Dee had agreed to stay over lmao
Tumblr media
- HUGGING HIM TO RECHARGE AGAIN! I can't take this, Yak!!!
- Oh... Oh, holy mother of god, that CHIN KISS!!!! That was so tender and hot and wtf????????????
- And then Yak kisses Dee's forehead and the necklace again??? Fuuuuuuuuuuuudge
- Nooooo, Dee, don't fall for Dr. Ter's wiles!!! Booooooo! Hissssss!
- omfg, Yak and Dee making eyes at each other smack bang in the middle of the pedestrian crossing
- KISSING HIM ALL OVER HIS FAAAAAAAAACE!
- "I miss this hospital so much"
- "His body is yours, but what about his heart?" That's Dee's, too, next question!
- If Taem buys this 'oh, I'm studying Yak, and no I don't mean that in a euphemistic way, what are you saying about?' then... she's not as smart as I thought she was lol
- Okay, there's some side-eyeing going on there. Curious about all those suspicious and guilty looks at the end of their convo tbh
- Cher and Yei have a tiny bed!
- Awww, c'mon, why reuse ep one footage of Yak and Dee!!!!
- DOUBLE DATE!
- Cher saying it feels like Yak is introducing Dee as part of the family 🤝 Yak saying the photo looks like a family photo
- the way so many beats are being repeated is nice to me (Yak taking Dee's hand at the crossing again)
- Oh, Yei is definitely in it with loan sharks, right? Orrrrrr maybe he's working FOR them to work off his debt? Am I overthinking it?
- Damn, those balloons must've been expensive, if Yei had to trade his camera for them! (A joke because the camera just disappeared I guess??) edited to add: ooh maybe not a continuity error! Could the balloons be a devious distraction technique??
- "Romantic notions vary from person to person" or whatever Yak said but yes! They do!
- Cher kicking his little feet :3
- I love how they both talk about feeling at ease with each other <333
- Awww! It's finished and— WE'RE GETTING THE KISS NEXT WEEK????? And loads of delicious angst it seems >:)

genshin impact ghost au
doesn't make any sense in canon (since ghost already exists) so don't take these seriously:
the traveler's can see them, never explained why but it seems they can, paimon can't but she just goes with the traveler's shenanigans
hu tao actually can too and it's her job to take them to afterlife
venti also can (I like the idea of him and anemo having a connection to ghost and death
qiqi can see them cuz she's basically half dead
now for some ghosts
idk how but kaeya dies (there are so many theories of him that would die in a future story because of death symbolisms he had)
diluc still goes with his night missions even in death, and he wanted to reconcile with his brother after years of distance
he still doesn't trust the knights of favonius and he still has a hatred with the fatui
and he doesn't like that he shares the same plane of existence with childe, the fatui harbinger
ayato dies because ayaka's character development tm
he can be really ruthless when someone tries to harm ayaka just like childe with his family
even in death he still looks out for his clan and his sister in the shadows
he feels guilty that he fails to protect his sister
baizhu's illness did overtake him and his research to immortality is almost complete, even death he still tries to finish his research
kazuha apparently can create a breeze around him
bennet's luck still follows around him
idk how they all died and I wanted to add more
yeah idk why the traveler would hide their ghost powers, given teyvat is used to their shenanigans, maybe they don't want to freak out the people especially to people who's loved one's who died
maybe I'll expand more??

Hiii I've just binged your comic and it was amazing!! What a twist for niigo I really like it c:
So first of all take your time uploading, comics take a long time and effort to do and it's amazing how elaborate you make yours!!
Second and here's my question, could you explain a bit more about Kanade's daycord personality? I'm really curious to see how you portrayed her
That's all have a good day :-)
Ah thank you! Your words mean a lot. <3 I promise to continue doing my best on future pages and projects.
Damn I had it written somewhere but I can't find it 😭 here's what I got from the top of my head. The following is just surface level:
My own spin on Daycord Kanade is kinda hard to explain, but at heart she's the same Kanade but she shut off instead of chasing the goal of saving people. Her angry and hateful nature is a protective front. She fears baring another accident, so by being hateful and cold with others she hopes people would just avoid her (unfortunately for her Daycord did not) and alias she'd not genuinely hurt anyone ever again. If she does need to socialize she'll make it extremely professional and serious, and if you break that boundary (Ahem. The rest of Daycord) you'll just get her defense. She is very sympathetic just like cannon Kanade though, but wouldn't usually act upon it. Honestly that's probably why she's with Daycord (aside from Ena's threats of drawing her) they're kinda pathetic lmao
I really wish I could expand more and go truly explore it but I think I'm genuinely pushing already with the comic as Daycord is not my original idea. Maybe I'll do so in fic format but idk

Your thoughts on Madame Wanda or the Thomasina House? If you haven't already ofc.
I've talked a bit about Thomasina House in the Class Structure post and there's a bonus theory I have about it in my post about Gemma Olsen. I might do a post about Thomasina House in particular in the future because there's more to say, but for now, I'll take you up on Madame Wanda and expand that a bit to the Reform Club as a whole.
Gonna disappoint right off, but I don't think anyone is actually having sex at the Reform Club. Sorry. All right, maybe some people do sometimes, like fucking at Studio 54. But that's not actually what the point of the place is.
Tumblr media
It is described in the art book as a "punishment club". People go here to be punished for a misdeed they refuse to remember, but becuase they don't remember what they feel guilty for, there's no apparent reason they can't have some fun with it. That the developers have taken this concept and appended fetish play to it confuses the subject, but even then it still makes perfect sense. Fetishes aren't really about sex either so much as foundational (often childhood) memories later re-contextualized in adulthood. Dohoho.
And Madame Wanda is a matron overseeing the discipline of her naughty children.
I would really liked it if she were the Wanda Durbyfield from the "Diary of a Wayward Girl" that you find at the Hippo Club.
Tumblr media
In fact, I very much think this was the intention: the Wanda in this diary ends her last entry by saying that, "Some day I'm going to punish them. I'm going to punish them all." And Madame Wanda has a cut diary too, indicating that she would also have been in the habit of documenting her life.
Tumblr media
The only problem with this is that Wanda Durbyfield's diary points to her being younger than Margaret Oliphant, which would make her too young to be a Crier. But its a very good story otherwise. A girl unable to raise her child herself and terrorized by the town for it, grows up to find her calling in punishing her fellow Wellies while forgetting just as much as they have why. I think they just couldn't let go of the idea of a Crier running the fetish club because that is also a good concept. Would that they were compatible!
If the cut diary is any indication though, Wanda would have also grown into the role. As Wanda Durbyfield, her punishments would have been a revenge for the rage she was made to endure from the townspeople who were more powerful as a group than her. As Madame Wanda, her punishments are corrections with the understanding that people - children - misbehave without fully comprehending the underlying cause, especially when they have the boldness of a mob obscuring their better sense. This is why you punish them one on one (and presumably a premium rate).
I have a chapter in which I've juxtoposed the Reform Club with the Church of Simon Says and if Wanda Durbyfield was supposed to be Madame Wanda, then the game would have done this as well.
"I don't care if we ARE required to go to church! Those women are lunatics, the way they ganged up on me! You'd think they'd be GLAD I'm giving up the baby. They put their children on the train -- wouldn't they want another child? But no, I'm apparently the worst sinner in the world for sending mine away. Am I supposed to raise it here? Much better for it to live on a farm."
That the Home for Wayward Girls was a religious institution and enforced church-going despite the growing danger it posed would not only place Wanda at odds with the Church of Simon Says on a business level in the future, but a philosophical one as well.
The thing I think is most interesting about the Reform Club is that they are apparently engaging in some sort of resistance efforts, but we never actually get to know anything about it other than that it's happening. And what's more, you only learn this from a line that Sally will soliloquize to herself when walking around in the Garden District.
"I almost miss going to the Reform Club. I bet some of them could help. And they never ask awkward questions. But I'd have to be Naughty Nurse again, and I'm just not that."
I genuinely think, though. that this line is only here to give context to Gemma's bug out bag and not to actually lead into any further supposition about the Reform Club's activities. It's a sort of slight of hand, really, because the thing you're supposed to be focusing on from this statement is Sally's Naughty Nurse act that she just can't bring herself to reprise. Whatever the Reform Club is doing is similar to Mr. Kite in that you are presented it to pique your interest, but you're never permitted to get any closer to it.
And, if we're accepting that Wanda Durbyfield was meant to have grown into Madame Wanda, she even had the sense as a wayward girl know that some people deserved their chance to leave Wellington Wells.
"No one will ever marry her now. Nor me, I suppose. Not unless I can move away."
"Am I supposed to raise it here? Much better for it to live on a farm."
Beyond that, I have a further, wilder theory about the Reform Club and its place in the world.
In Lionel Castershire's quests, he often makes mention of an unnamed client who collects Uncle Jack records, but its in Ollie's act when Castershire asks him to retrieve the Salty Dog from the Lawrence house that we learn more about this client beyond that.
"I have a client who likes to… collect things. Very powerful man. He has quite a few employees, but he'd rather they not know about his… private interests."
(As an aside, I think it's very funny that this dialogue implies the client is a taxidermy dog fucker - particularly in view of what I'm about to tell you further - but upon receipt of the quest, you learn he was probably just after the Hope Diamond that should be in the Salty Dog.)
When you return with the Salty Dog, you get one last parting piece of information from Castershire:
"My client is a man you want in your corner. And not in the other."
I like very much to think that this client is the Mr. Cleland that Madame Wanda is expecting when you come upon her as Arthur.
Mr. Cleland is a reference to John Cleland, who wrote Memoirs of a Woman of Pleasure, more popularly known as Fanny Hill. In it, a wealthy woman recounts in two letters to a friend known only as "Madame" the sexual adventures of her earlier life. It is considered the first English prose pornography and is otherwise notable for its use of euphemism. It contains no vulgarities directly, instead describing its graphic sexual events in very... couched language. So couched you could lose your clover clamps or the key to your safe in it. Also, Cleland wrote this novel from debtor's prison.
So Mr. Cleland and his friends are coming to visit for some Golden Knocking, are they?
I think this is meant to be euphemism, which is doubly hidden because it is framed in a place that is also trading in innuendo. Which is to say, they are implying this is a fetish-y sex thing, but I think it is actually a business transaction and this is is why you want Mr. Cleland in your corner and not the other.
Tumblr media
I believe he brings his "friends", people who owe him money, to the Reform Club to get the screws put to them and that Madame Wanda, resident expert in the art, assists him with this. This may even be why the Reform Club is permitted to operate as it does, it enjoys the protection of a "powerful man". Probably makes makes them lean over the chair and watches while Madame Wanda gives them a proper caning. Maybe the tranquilizer darts on the table are so they can walk home after.
Further story elements in the game that dovetail nicely with this idea are the quest "Moon Juice Leach" and Captain Lawrence's unpaid debts and subsequent "accidental" death in "Old Soldiers".
Tumblr media
In "Moon Juice Leach", Eddie Coke is remembered as having not having the "common sense that God gave an ordinary bowl of porridge" nor much reason to need "contraband" motilene, but a desperation to try to steal it all the same. This idea that motilene can even be contraband is a whole other ???, but the constables suppose that Lionel Castershire (who we later learn in Ollie's act is perhaps a tad less upstanding than he appears) may be involved in Eddie's fatal caper. If Lionel acts as a buffer between Cleland and his acquisitions, this would make sense. If Eddie got a taste of that Golden Knocker, it would also explain the reckless attempt at theft.
Meanwhile Captain Edward Lawrence is past due on his bills and on notice for shut off from the Department of Water and Power. More motilene-related troubles. Possibly purchasing discounting "contraband" motilene and being unable to pay that bill either?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Rather than (or unable to) meet his obligations, he's chosen to shut himself up in his house and refuse calls.
To great effect:
Tumblr media
If this is the work of Mr. Cleland (or more likely his "few employees"), it presents another interesting connection: that he may also have something to do with who has access to the apples from the last apple tree in the Garden District.
Or maybe Mr. Cleland's just wondering why Captain Lawrence is buying a luxury like apples when he owes him money.
That Ollie is asked to retrieve the Salty Dog from his brother Colonel Lawrence's house, after both brothers have died, seems like a case of shifting the debt around. (This is also why I wondered if the Salty Dog wasn't supposed to be Bonny Prince Charlie at a point.)
Dropping a bookcase on Captain Lawrence is a steep escalation, for sure, but if he wouldn't come to the Reform Club, then he didn't leave himself much room to negotiate a payment plan.
Who knows. He might have even liked it.

Soo, with the leaks of chapter 271(is it a leak?) out, I began wondering, how will you expand more on Kagome and Gojo's relationship later on in your story?
So it's a leak-ish, in that it's not the official release/translation, which will come out Sunday or Monday I think (that's why I thought it was going to end on September 30th), but it's not one of those early, super roughly translated scans with really low quality.
Most of it isn't super usable for who are we to fight the alchemy because, since Shibuya didn't happen, almost none of the manga post-Shibuya is going to happen. The chapter does do something interesting with Sukuna but it kinda goes against the storyline I have in mind for Yuuji so I'm not gonna go that route (no spoilers tho lol).
Unsurprisingly, what is usable is going to be Gojo related, and I think I'll make a more in depth post about this once I've had more time with it, but in the meantime I'll put it under the cut. Spoilers, and mild spoilers for the direction my fic is going to take too!
(The chapter is fine, by the way. This one and 270 together make for a pretty decent ending imo, not transcending but I'm not upset with it)
So Gojo does appear in this chapter, and it's in an exclusively positive way — ish. It's at least meant to be positive, and at this point I'll take it. It's shown just how strongly Gojo believed in his students and that he was a teacher through and through, which I love. He's the direct influence that leads Yuuji to break the cycle with the cursed user we see in this chapter, and I think that's cool.
However, we also get a look into Gojo's psyche in this and it's... not great? Like man was not doing good.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The most generous interpretation for these panels is that Gojo expected to die and was trying to do his best to help the future generation move on. Then there's the possibility that he was tired of Gojo Satoru — of being him, of being the strongest, of everything else.
The third interpretation I can see is that he thought the world couldn't evolve with him in it. In that case, the fact that he was blamed by the characters in previous chapters might have been something he was okay with. It kinda sucks, but it's not like it doesn't make sense for him. It's a little out of character, as Yuuji points out, but we don't get to see the REAL Gojo all that often, so... yeah, I could see it.
I could see Gojo trying to change the sorcerer society from within and getting so frustrated with it because no matter what, as long as he's there, everyone will turn to him in the end. Training the future generation? Why bother, Gojo Satoru's there. That gives the higher-ups plenty of room to be shitty to current sorcerers, to expel kids like Hakari, because they don't need to foster the next generation — they'll be long gone by the time Gojo disappears. So, because Gojo's an obstacle to his own dreams, the kids turning out as different from him as possible might be the best way forward. That way, maybe they won't let themselves be turned into weapons, and they won't do it in return.
I'm almost definitely going to go with that in the alchemy. So far, there hasn't been much commentary on Gojo's status in sorcerer society, because while there have been hints of it, Kagome has yet to see him interact with it much. She's seen Yaga, and she's met the kids, but she hasn't seen him with Nanami. I don't think that it's going to come as a shock that she's going to be pissed once she realizes what's going on lol.
It's yet another parallels between them, right? She had her life uprooted when she was fifteen. She both knows what it's like to carry more responsibilities than you should at a young age, and to deeply want to do the right thing. That's why she's not horrified that the kids are in dangerous situations — she knows it's not great, but she also gets, on a super deep level, that they're 100% people despite their age and need to be respected and treated as people.
And even she would be super fucking freaked out upon realizing that there was a bounty on baby Gojo's head. That he was doing special grade missions when he was 15 (and realistically, probably younger than that!). That he's only ever had one person treat him normally (yeah I'm not counting Shoko in there at that point). That he probably thinks of himself as weapon first and foremost and that that's how he's used by people around him.
(listen she's going to have some choice words for Nanami at some point, because I love the man, but his opinions on Gojo specifically are,,, questionable at best)
So I think the question of 'can the world become a better place as long as he's in it', while not fully-fledged in the mind of the alchemy!gojo (because Shibuya didn't happen) is going to be interesting to grapple with. The thing about Kagome is that it's so obvious with her that the answer to that question is 'yes' that I don't know how deep I could get with it because she would find the conversation so silly to begin with, but I could dip my toes in it for sure.

Writeblr - ReIntroduction
Howdy howdy! I figured I'd type one of these out again because I'm trying to be more active on here, and also pushing myself to indulge in my passion for writing again... this helped last time, so I may as well give it another shot.
My name is Milo (he/xe) and I'm an aspiring author. I've always loved writing, and there's never been a point in my life where I didn't want to write in some capacity. It's easy for me to succumb to writer's block, but writing makes me happy and I want to be able to share what I create.
About Me
I'm a 22 year old (very gay) transman from Canada, and I want so badly to be able to travel to other parts of the world one day.
I'm a D&D nerd. When I struggle with a writing project, I often fall back on expanding my D&D worlds/characters. It's my safety net.
My career is in film. I work in the Art Department, mainly in props, and am working towards maybe becoming a Production Designer one day. I also dabble in Special Effects. Film work is a competing passion of mine, and you'll definitely find posts of me talking about work.
Like most other authors, I love weird shit, and you'll find a lot of weird stuff in my writing. Weird Fantasy is my favourite kind of genre.
In my writing you'll find themes of 2SLGTBQIA+, found family, fighting destiny, struggling under mega-corps/capitalism, nature vs nurture, self-discovery, different kinds of love, slightly unsettling surroundings, and weird lil monsters/freaky dudes.
My Current Projects
I have two writing projects going on right now. One I had to put on the backburner because I had written myself into a corner. The story wasn't progressing or flowing the way I had envisioned/planned, and I ended up getting more stressed than excited to write it. The other is one more laid-back for me to write. (Keep in mind, these short descriptions may be subject to change in the future)
The Strings of Willis Manor: Thistle Willis is sick. Her condition leaves her confined to the property of Willis Manor; a sprawling estate with lush gardens, dusty corridors, and horrifying secrets. At her attendance is Clementine (an automaton handmaid), Andromeda Marrow (Thistle's best friend) and her ever-energetic little sister Tourmaline. When Father doesn't return from a business trip to the South, Thistle begins to fear the worst. Mama – the Mistress of the manor – hires an unknown Healer from an unknown land to find a cure for Thistle. But this cloaked Healer isn't who they say they are, and Thistle begins to uncover what really may be going on in the house she thought she could call home.
(Backburner) - Beneath Tattered Flesh: In the hissing, polluted, Magic, and bronze city of Ritec, Caesar Dampton is trying to move forward. He's trying to get over a bad break-up, make ends meet, and help his best friend - Emersyn Riley - find her place in the world. Between running away from his ex, and trying to figure out what he wants to do with his life, Caesar is stuck in a downward spiral. Newt Gourdeau got the chance of a lifetime; a full scholarship to Verne Cobb University. Leaving their small town behind, they carved out a life for themself in the city of opportunities. They're trying to bury their problems in mystery novels, university studies, and attempting to find a scientific reason as to why some people in this world have Magic, while others don't. Their obsessions leave them in solitude for days. But when the unlikely pair see similar tragic events happen at the same time, but in different parts of the city, they stumble into each other's lives. Manipulation and death follow the two at every step, but they're both determined to get to the bottom of a gruesome mystery unfolding in the city... or die trying.
What I'm Looking For
As you could probably already tell, I'm not awesome at keeping myself "on schedule", which is code for "I sometimes let my life/anxiety/career/whatever eat away at my passion for writing and I'll abandon it for several months a time". Having a place to post updates, or even just little rambles, really helps me out.
So in all honesty, if you're interested in what you see, then feel free to stick around! I'd love to chat, do fun word tags, and just be in a community of like-minded people.
Thanks for reading!

Well, short post on Urahara as a vocaloid fan
Tumblr media
Okay so, I said how I believe Urahara is a vocaloid fan in my last post, so I thought why can't I elaborate? Hell maybe expand it to what I think other characters would listen to
Urahara:
• He'd like Miku, Vflower, Fukase, Len and Kaito songs.
• His first ever vocaloid song would be strobe light, world is mine, triple baka or rosary pale; (even though I'm sure there's others songs he'd like and I'll talk about it in a second)
• He'd love the idea of virtual singers, probably nerding out to ANYONE about how he thought it was a great technology for musicians who didn't want to expose themselves, were beginners or just wanted to experiment something new, and how he thought this source could be the future of the music industry or even idol industry, having so much potential to evolve and change (which he was correct)
• He would probably try his best to go to a magic mirai show, would get the light sticks, everything.
• About producers, I think he'd be into Kikuo, Materu, Wowoka, Kanaria, Aira, Pinocchio, Akka and Deco 27 (perhaps Ichika too), but there's millions of producers, and since I'm not fluent in japanese, I can more easily list songs than the producers unfortunately since searching about the producers takes time and has a language barrier, specially considering vocaloid is all over the place and in theory everyone who makes music using vocaloid, even covers and small stuff, could be a producer, so ehhhh-
• Collects figures. I think he would be more into the complex figures and looks rather than the prize ones that are simpler
Some examples of figures I think Kisuke would like:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Songs I think Kisuke would relate/like more than others:
1- Strobe Light
An underrated song, in my interpretation of strobe light, it talks about breaking the routine, a girl who's so stuck in it she craves for something new but doesn't have the courage of trying. At the same time could talk about the line between life blurring and becoming gray, boring, with nothing interesting easily, it talks about how everyone around you seems to move on while you're stuck in a point of your life trying to change and try, still people move on, die, give up, and you can't do anything about it, yourself wanting to give up and feeling lost.
My take is that Kisuke would like it since he'd find it in his early months of exile, feeling lost, that everyone moved on, that he'd have to fight to adapt and survive in this new life, together with guilt of his friends being stuck with him now and losing their lives due to his own mistakes. He'd be stuck in a lifeless hopeless situation and routine, trying hard to break free but unable to, after all the situation wouldn't allow him to. He'd crave for freedom, for giving everyone comfort and rest, yet he couldn't rest, stop, live comfortably for a long time, everything blurring out, I think he'd listen to it a lot in his first MP3 player.
2- Cinderella
Okay urayoru moment, in my view, Cinderella is about 2 people leaving everything behind, their lives, their expectations, just wanting to be with each other and trusting that despite the odds of their situation they can be together and happy having each other's company even in dark times with a great love and trust to change their lifes
WHICH IS SO KISUKE AND YORUICHI??? Yoruichi giving away her status, her expectations as a member of the Shihōin clan, her old life, everything to save her friends BUT SPECIALLY Kisuke, trusting that he could pull it off and make a better life for them.
3- love trial
A song about someone who had such a terrible experience in love and relationships, that lost the trust completely in others, judging a partner who had previously liked and had affection for, and in the first place trying not to warm up to them and liking them again.
Another urayoru take, because we all agree Kisuke has trust issues, but I say maybe he always liked Yoruichi, but, because of his issues, when Yoruichi WAS ready to show and give him affection, he wasn't ready in the first couple of weeks or months because of previous events in his love life and life in general (which I hc Kisuke never got the handle of emotional romantic relationships and his first time doing sex with someone was terrible so yup, poor thing) but eventually melting this resolve and accepting he wanted to be happy with her.
4- Plus boy
OKAY HEAR ME OUT, he IS a pervert, no matter what you think, SO A SONG LIKE THAT FROM LEN? Hell he eats it up, plus, plus boy is about a teen boy (or teens in general) and the first signs of sexual attraction and leaving the childhood innocence of stuff, I hc Kisuke became more perverted around 14 years old, so it matches. Plus it's fire.
5- Copy cat
So, Kisuke definitely can't get the handle of social interactions and social cues, I view him as the nerd cast out kid, so, I imagine due to my hc of him having autism, he learned with time to mask all his "undesirable" and "unlikeable" traits that pushed people off, taking this facade for so long he copied the behaviors of other kids, teens, colleagues, liked people, viewing himself as someone with no essence or real personality, that is, he said "fuck it" at some point stopping the masking traits but still having personas, which is progress I guess when we're talking about Kisuke and the fact Shinigami are ageless so this could take centuries of evolution :v
Honorable mention:
In one of the asks kon made, we can see the door of Kisuke's room in the shōten, which translated to "Kisuke's castle", FIGHT ME BUT THIS DOOR DEFINITELY BLASTED WORLD IS MINE INSIDE THERE SOME POINT AND HAD LED LIGHTS CHANGING COLORS TO IT, WEARING A PRETTY DRESS AND CROW.

Another 20 (or so) Questions with De Hartley
Tumblr media
Interviewer: Welcome to another installment of our character interviews, where we dive deep into the lives and minds of our favorite cast members of The Muse. Today, we have De Hartley with us, the bassist of The Rebel Rejects. De, thank you for joining us. Could you start by telling us what made you want to pursue music?
De: Hey, thanks for having me. Music has always been a part of my life, thanks to my dads. They're both incredibly talented, and I wanted to follow in their footsteps. Joining The Rebel Rejects was a natural step for me to explore my love for music and express myself creatively.
Interviewer: Describe your music.
De: I aim to create a solid foundation that others can build on. It's about rhythm, melody, and telling a story through music. *starts to get a bit more intense* I listen to a lot of music from all genres! There are so many different nuances that you can of discover through exploration. While our music is mostly punk I like to try and weave in other vibes so that we have a more complex sound.
Interviewer: How do you want to be seen by others?
De: I want to be seen as someone who's authentic and passionate about their art. I want people to see that I'm dedicated to my craft and always striving to improve.
Interviewer: How do you want your art to be seen by others?
De: I want my bass playing to evoke emotion and connect with people on a deeper level. I want it to be seen as a form of expression and storytelling, much like the music that inspired me.
Interviewer: Describe your best friend(s)?
De: *soft smile* I've been lucky to have friends like Jo and Ro who accept me for who I am and support me no matter what. Ro is a tiny tornado always wreaking havoc and causing mischief, but damn I love them for it. They always keep me on my toes. Jo is rain on a summer day. It's like one moment they're undeniably sweltering hot on the kit and then once it's over they're so ridiculously calm and chill.
Interviewer: That's such an interesting way to describe them! What is your latest obsession?
De: Cooking! It's not a new obsession, but lately I've really been upping my game. I've been experimenting with different recipes and techniques, trying to expand my culinary skills. It's a fun and creative outlet for me outside of music.
Interviewer: Describe your ideal partner.
De: Someone who's passionate about their own pursuits and supports mine. Someone who's kind, understanding, and shares my values. I tend to take on a lot of responsibility and put too much pressure on myself, so it would also be great if my future partner could help me chill take a step back and relax.
Interviewer: What was your first kiss like?
De: It was awkward but sweet. It happened at a friend's party. Get a bunch of curious preteens together and they're bound to play spin the bottle. Her name was Cleo, I had braces, she wore glasses, we shared a cute little peck.
Interviewer: Have you ever been in love?
De: Yes, yes I have.
Interviewer: When was your last relationship, and why did it end?
De: I recently broke up with someone, Mariana. They're great, one of my best friends actually. We're going to different universities and decided that it would be best to let ourselves fully explore. We were together all throughout high school, and I'll miss them, but we're still young. Who knows maybe we'll get back together one day. *shrugs*
Interviewer: What’s your ideal Friday night?
De: Playing music with The Rebel Rejects, followed by a cozy night in with good food and good company.
Interviewer: What’s the last song you listened to?
De: "Heroes" by David Bowie. It's a classic that always gives me chills.
Interviewer: How do you behave in a relationship?
De: *becomes thoughtful* I generally take care of others. It's not like I mind taking the lead I actually *rubs the back of their neck* I actually really enjoy it. Leading someone is my way of trying to show them how much I cherish them.
Interviewer: Do you approach those you’re interested in or let them come to you?
De: I'm pretty good at reading people so it's not hard for me to tell if someone is interested. If the feeling is mutual, then I'm definitely down to play the game and make the first move.
Interviewer: What is your biggest pet peeve?
De: *stifles a chuckle* I'm not sure this counts as a pet peeve, but I hate pineapple on pizza. If someone orders pineapple on pizza I instantly feel like I can't trust them.
Interviewer: I 1000% agree! What do you notice first about a person?
De: Their lips. *eyes flicker down to the interviewer's lips* I tend to glance at a persons lips when they're speaking. *eyes flick back up*
Interviewer: *clears throat* Speaking of lips...Ro tells me that you and the other Rebel Rejects have been...canoodling. How did your partner, Mariana, feel about that?
De: They knew and they were fine with it. I was always very open and honest with them. I've known that I'm pansexual since my first year of high school and while I enjoyed exploring my sexuality with Mari I also wanted to do more. They were very understanding and joined in every once in a while.
Interviewer: Honest and clear communication is definitely key. How are you so extremely mature for your age. Ok... now I know the readers are dying to know. *slides to the edge of their seat* What was it like the first time you and your bandmates got hot and heavy.
De: *tries to hide their smirk* Are you sure you want to hear? It's not really that interesting. *shrugs
Interviewer: *pinches the bridge of their nose* Dear god. Are you trying to kill me. Trust me we all want to know.
De: *eyes literally twinkle* Well if you insist. I'll start from the beginning of the night. So their was already some tension between Ro and I, because they had bailed out on a few practices the same week of our first gig. We had had a few songs that were rock solid, but decided to write a new one. We wanted a song that would be a real crowd pleaser. It was a good song but we didn't have time to slack on perfecting it. So the day comes and Ro barely has the lyrics memorized. We start the performance without a hitch but when it comes time for Intergalactic Drag, that's the song, we completely flopped. Well Ro did at least.
Interviewer: Sorry to interrupt but what does this have to do...
De: *holds up their hands* I know, I know, I'm almost there. So we go back to my place after the show. We're all sitting in my room dead silent until I flip my fucking shit! I start going off on Ro about how their slacking is dragging or rep down. Jo is just staring at us bewildered and Ro decides to clap back. Next thing I know Ro is on their toes trying to get in MY face! I'm looking down at them and we're both breathing heavy right before our lips crash together. *starts to laugh* and Jo is just sitting in my desk chair watching us biting their lip, until we pull them in and then......actually I'm just gonna stop there. Everyone likes a little mystery right.
Interviewer: *furiously fans themself* Ok, ok I see. Yeah lets stop there. I had one more question for you but I'm absolutely parched. *takes a deep breath* Anyways, thank you so much for coming in today. It's been quite the experience.

hi! i'm one of the two other people in the universe who is obsessed with Tarah. (your previous fanart of her is beautiful btw and greatly appreciated.) am i the only one who's a little sad that we didn't get the Tarah interlude? In November 2022 Brandon said she would be an interlude POV. Not only did that not happen, she only gets mentioned once and we don't get to see her at all :( obviously not the end of the world but it just bums me out
Hi! AAAWW Thank you so much!!❤️ I'm so glad you liked my fanart <3 And thanks for your question! I was looking forward to talking about that lost WaT interlude.
SPOILERS about Wind and Truth below!
About that interlude, yeah, I was a little disappointed too that we didn't get it in WaT, especially since Sanderson said in Word of Brandon that he would write it, but I guess he ran out of space in such a huge book and had to cut some scenes, so I can't blame him for choosing from those scenes to discard the ones about background character. When I started the book and saw that the parts were split into just ten days, and that Kaladin was going to stay in Shinovar, I immediately said goodbye to the idea of him and Tarah seeing each other again, but I was still hoping to at least get an interlude from her to at least know how and where she is and what her life has been like, I even had the headcanon that she was now a Radiant. I was curious especially since Brandon mentioned a while ago that the Mourn's Vault was a dangerous and unpleasant place, so I thought Tarah could tell us in her POV something interesting about her time there. I even briefly imagined that maybe Tarah could be among the scribes who helped Bridge 4 in Shattered Plains or the ones who went to Azimir with Adolin, but nope!
We got nothing :( Don't be sad though! Because if there's one thing my experience in many of my fandoms with secondary characters that an author leaves out has taught me, it's that those are the most fun to expand in the fandom with headcanons. I've a saying: "if an author doesn't care about a character and never give us enough about them, then I'll do it myself!" So in a way it's even a good thing that Tarah is almost a blank space as a character, because that leads to more headcanons than you can imagine ^^ For example, I want Tarah to be Radiant, and since Sanderson never said she isn't, then if I say she's Radiant, then she's Radiant! And I can choose for her to be of any order I want ( In my mind she is Willshaper because the description of that Order fits her quite well, so confident and flamboyant. I know that almost all the willshaper spren are for the listeners but she can have a rebel spren). And if I want to say that she or some relative of hers is a worldhopper, then that's true! The canon can't tell me otherwise because it hasn't even shown me!
Or, about shipping, if I want to decide that she can have another partner during these ten years of time jump between books 5 and 6, then we can choose whoever I want! For example, something crazy but fun: I could make up a story about Kaladin's two ex-girlfriends: Lyn and Tarah meet and fall in love with each other! (it would be quite a korrasami situation and that's why I love it, it would make for more than one funny scene for a reunion with Kaladin in the future! XD) Or the same if I want to ship Tarah with a background character, or with Kaladin in the past or in an AU despite what the canon says, or Idk with Venli, or Lopen, or Vivenna… you can ship her whoever you want and imagine multiple sceneries!
We can also imagine what happened to Tarah before and write hadcanons or some fanfic about it if we want. I can, for example, imagine that she gathered her own group of rebel soldiers of Sadeas' army, inspired by Kaladin, and she saved them -specially the young ones- and took them to Urithiru. I can pretend that her reunion with Kaladin really happened between OB and RoW behind the scenes and that she wished him happiness and they became friends. I can imagine Tarah really was in Shattered Plains or in Azimir between the scribes helping one of the armys. Or I can imagine that between books 5 and 6 Tarah became a scholar or that she decided to help Bridge 4 as the new quartermaster after the death of the previous one or as a scribe.
In conclusion: possibilities are endless! :D

ask game: 4, 19, 35, or 51?
Thank you for so many options! I'm going to take the first two because i'm having trouble coming up with answers for the others.
(writer ask game)
4. what is the plot bunny you’ve been carrying for the longest? optional bonus question: do you ever wonder why you haven’t written it yet and experience deep existential dread?
if we're talking murderbot fic, the very first murderbot fanfic I sat down to write is still unfinished and yes it haunts me. i call it my targetControlSys wip and if you're on the discord you've heard a bit about it before but the basic concept of it was: in that part of NE when TCS almost takes over Murderbot's brain, What If It Did? it was the first iteration of me writing what i later started calling malware fics, aka "murderbot is almost forced to hurt people it cares about and afterwards it has emotions about this." parts of the draft are actually quite complete so i hope i'll be able to finish it someday but it's on the backburner for the forseeable future.
if we expand it outside of murderbot fic, when i was about 13 i started writing a YA fantasy novel and i worked on it for a solid five years without ever finishing a complete draft. i still love the characters and concept dearly, but at some point i realized that i liked it too much to let go of parts of it that needed to go, in order to fix the plot holes that 13 year old me put in there. so it's in the metaphorical trunk until a time when i can take it out again and take it apart to build something new. on the possibility that it will someday make it into published book form in some recognizable way, i will be vague about the plot, but it had a prophecy and a chosen one who really didn't want to be the chosen one and her found family who tried to make it bearable for her <3
19. what are some books or authors that influenced your style the most?
oh, god, hard question. the vast majority of what i read as a kid/teen was YA fantasy, mostly the kind starring a girl with a sword. i read countless books like that, i don't know if any particular ones stand out but i'm sure they've affected how i write. specific books/series I was really into as a teen include Tui T. Sutherland's Wings of Fire, Marissa Meyer's Lunar Chronicles, Kristin Cashore's Graceling trilogy (it has more books now but i have not caught up), and Leigh Bardugo's Six of Crows. not sure how any of those have specifically influenced me but maybe it will be obvious to others XD I'm sure reading Murderbot and some other similar adult SFF has also changed and developed my writing style in the last few years as well.

So in the hellaverse it seems like hell is still supposed to be a ‘punishment’ for sinners, but it doesn’t really seem that way with how the Overlords work and whatnot (especially with Valentino- geez that man needs a beating). I wouldn’t mind if it was stated in the show to be not true and just something humans made up, but it’s obvious that isn’t the case.
It seems like it’s really only a hell for the people who fall for smaller crimes, so would you keep this aspect in your version? I wouldn’t
Yeah I don't fully get how Overlords work within the Hazbin universe either hence why I kinda made them less powerful that they seem in the show. Like, they can make deals with other sinners for their souls? How? How do they have that power? How did they get that power? Why do they have more than the fucking king of hell himself?
I did answer the 'punishment' question in the past where it depends on each ring but Pride doesn't punish anyone because Lucifer doesn't want to. Not in the "I don't want to hurt anyone" sort of way more than a "fuck you, dad!" way where he's acting like a rebellious teenager and refusing to play jailer/continuing to defy God (yes I know God isn't a thing in Hazbin for some reason but sssh). Plus his dislike for humans/sinners also is him just like 'nah I'm keeping my distance'. So, the reason why Overlords are so powerful in Pride is basically the lack of order or 'punishment'. Yes they're in Greed and Sloth too but no where as powerful as they would be in Pride and if they do feel as if they're starting to become a threat/a 'risk' to Hellborns in that ring, the Sin of that ring makes sure to shut that shit down.
It's called 'the wild west of hell' for reason and those who landed themselves into other rings that aren't as 'kind' to sinners attempt to smuggle themselves into Pride with vary success. I have Valentino originally landing in the Lust ring but managed to escape but that wasn't an easy feat neither due to well...It's Valentino and being I did keep Ozzie's dislike of use of force in this AU...
Let's just say he ain't gonna have a fun time in the future if he's ever dragged back to Lust. I'll leave it at that.
Overlords are basically powerful gang/business leaders in this AU. (I'd use the term 'organized crime' in some cases, but that'd imply there's a law enforcement in hell which there really isn't in the traditional sense but I'll save that for another time being I got a lot of notes on rules and laws in Hell and likely will make a detailed post when I feel like I'm ready to do so) They don't have that 'deal with the devil contract' thing (with the expectation of Alastor maybe. Maybe) going but may have a version of it but this is something as i'm still fleshing things out and haven't thought much about this until Hazbin itself dropped. Again, I'll likely talk about Overlords in-depth at a later date once I feel I have a solid foundation on how I'm gonna handle them.
So not really keeping it as is. It's kinda of 'Life is what you make of it' sort of deal and depending on your sin(s) and/or where you land in Hell, you can survive okay. Yeah, life is gonna be shitty regardless, but you're stuck here here so might as well make the best of it. I'm likely gonna change and expand on things as I go being with every new bite of content coming out of Hazbin and Helluva Boss (though I gave up on that show being Viv rather write her Wattpad Yaoi fanfiction suppose to giving us a fun show about a bunch of demon assassins but may still adapt something from new episodes even if I don't plan on watching them anymore) gives me something new to play with if I don't scrap it entirely, and trust me: Hazbin has been giving me a sandbox of shit to play with.

tlou episode 9 thoughts!!
- I KNEW IT I KNEW IT I'M SO HAPPYYYY this has always been my favorite theory for why ellie is immune and it also means that, however unlikely, there actually could be other immune people out there. it wouldn't benefit the narrative to meet any other immune people yet, but in the future...? like a third game...?
- baby ellie just popped right out huh fksjfkd i guess the quickest way to speed up labor is to kill a zombie
- hearing ashley johnson's voice, especially hearing her use her sweet baby voice brought me to tears immediately
- joel seems a lot more aware & understanding of why ellie is so checked out, but still tries to cheer her up. in the game he's well-meaning but pretty much clueless. i like this change!!
- the giraffe scene was perfect, 10/10, no notes
- "i'll follow you wherever you go" 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
- i'm a fucking mess because of that conversation by the medical tents, that was an incredible moment to add and i wasn't expecting it at all. the look on ellie's face when she realizes that it's her, she's the one that "healed all wounds"
Tumblr media
- no sarah photograph? :(
- "we didn't tell her, we didn't cause her any fear" FUCK! that's the problem!!! the problem is that ellie would die for the cure if you gave her the option, but you were too chicken shit to tell her the truth! everyone in this room has their own (selfish) motivations and no one is thinking about ellie, not really, not even joel. IT MAKES ME CRAZY AHHHHH YOU'RE ALL COWARDS
- the hospital shootout was everything i wanted and so much more. joel found his reason to live and god help him, he'll fight for it -- no matter how many lives he needs to take to get there. it was so intense and the music was beautiful and it was just gory enough to make you feel the weight of the brutality without feeling like it's a cheesy slasher. also loved how many times joel reloading or switched guns. and his dead eyes throughout the whole scene are haunting
- wow, killing jerry happened so damn fast!! in the game, you can stand in front of him forever and he'll just keep pointing his knife at you (and in the remake he pleads with joel, "this is our future, think of all the lives she'll save.") but i love the decision to shoot him in the blink of an eye. joel is beyond caring about anything other than ELLIE ELLIE ELLIE. i do like that he doesn't kill the nurses though, because it's a purely practical mission: save ellie. everyone else is just in the way.
- no abby sighting? :( i really thought there would be one :(
- i'm a little bummed that the themes were spelled out so specifically by marlene and joel's last conversation, but eh, whatever. TV audiences tend to need things spelled out clearer lol. i'm a little surprised they took out the line "how long until she's torn apart by a pack of clickers? that is, if she hasn't been raped and murdered first". considering what happened last episode, i felt that line would ring more true than ever. kinda underwhelmed by this confrontation tbh, which is sad because it's so pivotal
- ohhhh god he expanded upon the lie 😭 that hurt so much worse. i'm devastated for ellie
- joel talking about sarah felt more painful than i previously thought possible. also adorable how he doesn't want to offend ellie by calling her "not girly" ajfjsjfksj
- maybe i'm just blinded by my love for the game, but i don't like any of the dialogue they changed in the final scene. joel's original speech is SO poignant and perfect but i didn't get the same emotion from this one. and there was no glance at his watch :( i would've preferred keeping riley's fate vague (we already knew anyway), because "i'm still waiting for my turn" is so much more emotional to me. ugh. i'm a little peeved they changed so much about this scene that has long been considered as close to perfect as possible :(
- i don't want to end on a bad note so let me just say that the entire experience of watching this show has been incredible beyond words. seeing a game i love so much be treated with care and passion, opening up a whole new world for people who never would have known about it before this... it's just amazing. i'm so grateful that this show exists and feels like a love letter to the fans rather than a cash grab. it's so damn beautiful
