I know many people have issues with shipping with Nezha and such and I know the two had a rough history but y'know what fans do; they love to make the people who kill each other soulmates (platonic, romantic or otherwise) Even if it wasn't romantic, I still love the idea of them being buddies and just chilling, the danger noodle prince and the angy prince snuggle and watch a movie (mainly from Nezha 2019 but I also saw New Gods and can I just say, I want those two twinks to bicker then kiss awkwardly and I want Yun Xiang to BEAT. HIS. ASS) but in case anyone asks, I do perceive Nezha to be a consenting adult in general outside shipping drama and if the two are adults, it does make my heart squeal when I see these two hold hands and whatnot

Toxicinsanity is another rarepair that had like 1 sec screen time. I don't think they'd ever work out in canon and had virtually no chemistry. I still love all the fluffy ship content I can find of them though and if it ever were to happen. I think the mayor would scare the sh!t out of Syntax

Let's get at least one hetero couple here, Chang'e and Hou'Yi are a couple of favorites ngl, I took most of their outfits from Over the moon cause both of them looked stunning, Chang'e especially. I've seen people ship mah girl with other people and while I do agree it's healthy to move on, in my heart she will always long for Hou'Yi

Can we politely talk about *some* SaneKana shippers...

I would normally address how toxic they tend to be and the ridiculous amount of misinformation they spread, which not only misleads the (mostly new) fans, but also heavily mischaracterizes both Sanemi and Kanae, ESPECIALLY Sanemi though because he's really complex and the misinformation just misses the entire fxcking point of the way he's written and it's enraging to say the least

..however, it's starting to be common knowledge that they're insufferable, but something that is bugging me right now is that they're getting sexualized lately. and almost no one seems to complain.

There's recent VIRAL videos, either animations or cosplays who want to allude that they'd "get freaky" or that Kanae wants to get undressed when he sees him or something...am I overreacting or gagging a little is a fair reaction to this?

They were MINORS.

No matter how much I might not like Kanae as a character, I find it baffling when she's sexualized or mischaracterized by anyone. Kanae was created for Shinobu. Kanae is Shinobu's fuel, her motive, the reason behind her grief and her anger and her overall initial character development and the way she planned her own demise all revolved around her older sister. Kanae exists for Shinobu, not to be any man's love interest.

Let's also be fr, Kanae was more of a mother to Sanemi rather than a love interest, they had heavy platonic subtext in the 1 and half interactions that they had. Romanticizing the Light Novel's interaction specifically, would mean projecting Œdipus complex onto Sanemi, which is absolutely messed up considering the amount of people I've seen justify that with "but it was her hands!" who do you think that touch belongs to? would you think about your dad or any family member if a person you like touched you?

But that's besides the point, I respect the ship per se and I acknowledge it's 100% up to the viewer's interpretation; but if you're one of the shippers who overlooks Sanemi's character, sexualizes and mischaracterizes their bond and water down Kanae's character to "she's the girl that Sanemi likes" AND/OR even spread misinformation and consider them as canon while harassing other shippers then please take several seats.

I'm usually very chill about ships, rarepairs, anything as long as it's legal, but this behavior from shippers is where I draw the line + those ShinoGiyuu shippers who also do the exact same thing to Giyuu and Shinobu, and I kinda like them as a pair so I'm not being biased here.

If you're one of the normal SaneKana shippers don't take it as an attack, it's not about you🫶🏻 as much as my opinion on this ship is complex as I only like them if we consider them as a platonic duo, I totally respect those few sane shippers and multishippers I've encountered

This being said, I hope we can all agree that sexualizing minors is disgusting ⛹🏻‍♀️

It was a bad idea. Bonnie repeated that to herself on a loop as she stood outside the house, invitation clutched in her hand. She could feel the magic in the air around her - the prescence of more than one vampire behind the doors. She was taking her life in her hands.

But they agreed; there had to be a reason that the Original witch wanted a formal meeting with her and Elena. It couldn't just be a coincidence.

She took a breath and calmed herself, before she slipped the invitation into her purse, walked up the steps and into the house. Inside, it reminded her of every Miss Mystic Falls pageant she'd attended. It was similar to Tyler's house, but it was lavishly decorated, with glittering chandeliers and champagne fountains.

As she moved further into the room, she noticed people staring. A warm flush crept up her neck but she ignored it and searched the crowd of ballgowns and suits for Elena.

She found her mid-argument with Stefan and Damon. They had both agreed to stay away from the ball. Evidently, neither of them could stay away from Elena.

Bonnie moved to approach them when someone stepped into her path. Annoyanced prickled beneath her skin. It wasn't helped much by the smirking face staring down at her. Even if he was sort of attractive.

"Please, tell me you didn't come with either of those idiots," he said, and her heart dropped at the lilting accent as he nodded in the direction she had been headed. "It would simply devastate me."

She pressed her lips together and swallowed, trying to ignore her thumping heart and the fact that he could hear it. He was one of them.

His head tilted, and his features pinched together as if amused.

"I'm sorry, I'm being ungracious. My mother would kill me for not introducing myself to a lady. Kol Mikaelson."

His smile grew wider as he held his hand out to her, expectant. He waited as Bonnie hesitated, raising an eyebrow ever so slightly. She kept her hands by her sides and he chuckled, dropping his hand back to his side.

"I understand your distrust, but I assure you, Bonnie, I am nothing like my siblings," he said. "For one, I'm far more charming."

"Agree to disagree," Bonnie said tightly, offering up only a dry smile in return. It only seemed to fuel his amusement, and her eyes narrowed as the realization hit her. "Wait. How do you know my name?"

"My mother informed us there was to be a Bennett witch in our midst tonight," Kol said simply, and he shrugged. "She seemed worried that my siblings wouldn't greet you with the warmest regards."

Bonnie raised her eyebrows. "What, so, she sent you to make sure none of them ripped my throat out? How do I know you aren't going to do the same?"

"Because unlike my siblings, I have an appreciation for witches," he said. "Considering I, myself, used to be one."

She wasn't buying it. "Well, then, you can appreciate that I can look after myself. I don't need a vampire bodyguard, but thanks for the concern."

She managed to side-step him this time and hurried through the crowd. She located Elena, who was one Salvatore less than before. As she explained what they were doing there, Bonnie caught Kol watching them, smile still intact.

She quickly looked away again, that warmth creeping back up her neck as she tried to forget their encounter and put him out of her mind. They had a plan. Focus on the plan and maybe they'd be able to get out of there alive.

Damon's begrudging respect and how he goes on about how great Desmond is all the time??? how they're more similar than they give each other credit for? desmond being a genuinely cool guy and damon exploding because of it? Hell Yes.

Keen observation: The Kny "Ship wars" are getting out of hand

Let's begin. This post has been made to deliver my take on the, uh... insanely inappropriate actions of the fanbase for the popular anime and manga series: Demon slayer - Kimetsu No Yaiba - from the futile beginnings of shipping characters.

And do not mistake this for me saying people should not be shipping characters at all - I am a Multishipper myself, and I do think it is nice to see people coming up with beautiful art for them, and I have read some fics that have genuinely been so interesting I almost forget that it is cannon deviant.

What I AM saying is that people are literally allowed to do literally whatever they want. People want to ramble on about how immaculate their very specific Rarepair is? Let them. You see someone making art for a ship you don't like? Sit back and appreciate the art - Let them.

But the problem really begins when people start getting fiercely overprotective of their ships. It does seem a little silly to me, even as I'm typing this like why is this such an insane problem lmao??

And it's not even just limited to the Kny fandom - the HH (Hazbin Hotel) and BNHA//MHA (Boku No Hero Academia // My Hero Academia) fandoms are probably the best example of the shows getting low-key ruined by the fanbase - EVEN IN TADC WHERE THE CREATOR SPECIFICALLY SAID THAT THEY DO NOT CARE WHO PEOPLE SHIP. And I really don't think the media should be dragged down by a few people taking things way too far.

And if you have been following the drama going on in the Demon Slayer fandoms, particularly here on Tumblr and Pinterest - you already know what ships I'll be talking about.

SaneGiyu // GiyuShino.

Like I previously mentioned, I am a Multishipper, and while I can appreciate GiyuShino - Like it is a cute ship, I see the vision and there is a little bit of evidence that can be interpreted as fuel for the ship, I used to ship it myself, by the time I had finished the Manga I was fully shipping SaneGiyu. Not to the point I say it's cannon per say, but where I can see the chemistry and I will use things from the manga to back up why the ship is plausible.

(This is such a stupid post) But then there are some people who ship SaneGiyu who are being toxic to GiyuShino shippers // Saying things like "Giyú is clearly gay!!" And I mean there is a pretty good case to be made that Tomioka is not interested in women, it's still just a headcannon and you literally cannot force someone else to think that??

Or "Shinobu is clearly a Lesbian!!" I personally like this headcannon, she is just too much of a girl boss to be with a man, but then looking at canon material, there isn't much to go off of that shows her to have an interest in women! - and no hate to ShinoMitsu shippers - it's cute x

"Please - the age gap is insane" And you know what? Fair enough. It is fair enough. She is 18 and he is 21. And that is a three year age gap, and in some cases there would be a rift in maturity, but I think that can fly out the window, as Kocho is clearly more mature than her age.

But then you need to look at context for the time and it isn't too outlandish. But then in the moderns School AU, hell no. That same age gap, in modern times with him being a teacher and her being a student?? THAT'S WEIRD.

But then on the other hand there are some GiyuShino shippers that make the opposite arguments; "Giyú is clearly straight" (Like I said, there is a clear case to be made that Tomioka has little to NO interest in women) or "Sanemi and Giyú hate each other!!" (That was a case of miscommunication between them, and was resolved by the manga's end, they are now - in cannon - seemingly good friends)

BUT.

I have now seen multiple accounts on Pinterest making Pins telling people to K!ll themselves - BECAUSE OF A SHIP??

Like excuse me?! They literally said they think these two fictional characters would be a cute couple - AND YOU TOLD THEM TO K!LL THEMSELF??? It's disgusting to say the least.

People: shipping is supposed to be a silly goofy fun thing we do to show our interests and explore AU's - NOT AN OPPORTUNITY TO HURT PEOPLE OVER SHIPPING. FICTIONAL. CHARACTERS.

But if you guys ever:

See people Proshipping? - report it if you want to.

See art for a ship you don't like? - hide it from your feed.

See people hating on a ship you like? - Remove / Block them.

See people leaving nasty comments on your // other people's posts? - Remove the comments, block them and report the usuer.

Just BLOCK the people causing the issues - do not become one of them.

TLDR: Let people ship what they want to PLEASE guys, lets just have fun with our fandoms x.
