Kol should have been hitting on Bonnie a la Klaroline style. I know we love Klaus and Caroline together but I always felt like there was a bit of an imbalance of power. I never liked how he could flip and just decide to kill her on a whim(the wolf bite at Elena's).

Bonnie's a powerful witch so there would be more of a balance between her and Kol. He'd love it since he's canonically a witch groupie. He should have been drooling over her the second he met her. Missed opportunity to have her with an Original.

I know I am not the only one who dislikes Bonnie's canon relationships, and I wanted to make a space for us that see her as more than what she was given.

Our girl is just as desirable and deserving of a romance as the rest. It's unfair how she's the only one boxed in due to moral policing.

"But Bonnie can't be with them because they're evil/morally dubious, she's too good and moral-" and the other characters, especially Elena and Caroline can? They aren't "too good" and "moral"? Why is Bonnie the only one held to these standards even when we see Elena call out characters like Damon and Elijah for their actions, so we can obviously tell that she has a different moral standing than they do? Even if Bonnie is those things, that still doesn't necessarily mean that she can't be with these said characters, whether for a short period or forever. Like, Enzo definitely does questionable things that would go against this idea, but these same fans don't question their relationship (some not all, same with Nora). It's only when we talk about characters like the Salvatores or the Mikaelsons or Kai (Enzo as well, back to my previous point), characters who have had flirtations or relationships with Elena and Caroline does this suddenly becomes an issue. And then the excuse of "Bonnie is too strong" to fall for them, as if that's supposed to be a compliment. Black women and girls, whether fictional or not, should not have to be seen as being "too strong" to be deemed worthy of love. That's such a gross thing to say, especially when our yte counterparts aren't held to the same standard, are allowed to be strong, and still fall in love. If you genuinely think that's a compliment, I urge you to do some work and figure out why that is.

I did say Bonnie deserved hoes. That went for everyone. It is the least the plot could do is uplift Bonnie’s desirability given everyone needs her magic.

No one ever gives a good argument why a noncanon Bonnie ship shouldn’t have happened. “She’s too good for them” “That pairing is so toxic”. “Platonic for a reason…” For example: Kol killed Davina and she married him. No one says anything about Kolvina. But if Bonnie is too good what does that say about your fave for being paired with said toxic man…

The originals really should've been obsessed with Bonnie. The way Bennett witches were wrapped up in everything, they most likely knew several of her ancestors over the centuries. Damon too should've come to mystic falls seeking Bonnie out, especially with the somergraham chemistry it could've been really interesting

I get being upset about Bonnie not being invited to the Mikaelson ball, but here you go once again, blaming Caroline for a choice the writer's made, something she had no part of. People are getting weird AF with their anti Caroline stance and it's getting ridiculous.

Here you go once again, putting words I didn't say in my mouth.

Does it upset me that Bonnie wasn't invited to the ball? Yes. Does Caroline being there make me mad? No. Do I think she shouldn't have come? Yes, I certainly think so.

I complained about Caroline and Matt being there because plot wise it was absolutely stupid and it made no sense. They didn't add absolutely nothing to the events developing there, and their presence was completely unneeded: Caroline and Matt were there solely because of Klaus and Rebekah/delena. This was the moment the showrunners decided to start writing klaroline, exclusively and only because the fans liked their first scene together, so they decided to have her going to the ball just to have their "romance" developing, which made no sense for her at all;

Klaus literally tried to kill her a few episodes prior, he had Tyler bite her on her birthday leaving her on the brink of death and then he showed up to heal her. Where is her self-preservation? Wasn't she scared of him at all?

It's funny to me that she only accepted to go because of Rebekah inviting Matt. Did she thought he was in potential danger? Did she decide to go to try to protect him? I get she was worried about her friend, but this is slightly strange.

Matt was just there for Rebekah and to make Damon and Elena fight because of his altercation with Kol, nothing else, and his presence and the issue he caused wasn't that serious because they made up an episode later. Why would he go? He was a human on a house full of the oldest vampires to ever live, and he was aware of this. I'm aware Matt isn't the brightest person to walk the earth, but everybody knows a human shouldn't be around bloodthirsty vampires.

Again, just stupid. Caroline and Matt shouldn't have been at the ball, that's all. Elena and the Salvatore going made sense: she was the doppelgänger, Stefan had story with them and Damon wouldn't allow her to go anywhere without any of them.

Bonnie, however, had every single reason to be there:

She was Ayana's descendant.

Esther would want to meet a Bennett witch, seeing she was best friends with one once and she knew they were powerful allies.

She had been more close than anyone to killing Klaus: the fact that he didn't try to seduce her or try to kill her was ooc, especially because he befriended witches before klaroline came in.

Kol loved witches and this bitch knows everything about everyone. It surprises me that he didn't try to get her on his side or at least use her to try to take down any member of his family.

The Bennett bloodline is far more powerful in magic terms than any other family could ever be, their blood was needed for like half of the most powerful spells and the fact that not a single person thought about getting on Bonnie's good side is completely stupid.

What is ridiculous is that people dickride 3x14 to hell because of the fanservice. I love this episode, but calling out it's flaws it's not a bad thing.

I’m a gay girlie and personally only ship Bonnie with Rebekah or Nora, but it’s so nice seeing people get creative with Bonnie’s character and shipping her with characters that the TVD creators wouldn’t let happen in a million years. People have a difficult time seeing bonnie in a enemies to lovers dynamic with someone because we never got to see it so how would they know if the relationship would work or make sense when they actively avoided any romance elements with bonnie there was multiple times where that dynamic between bonnie and other characters like Klaus kol damon kai etc would make sense any other time they did it so why shouldn't they with bonnie what makes her so different from other characters that they can't see it

Rarepair Rowboat: Kennett | Kol Mikaelson x Bonnie Bennett (The Vampire Diaries)

It was a bad idea. Bonnie repeated that to herself on a loop as she stood outside the house, invitation clutched in her hand. She could feel the magic in the air around her - the prescence of more than one vampire behind the doors. She was taking her life in her hands.

But they agreed; there had to be a reason that the Original witch wanted a formal meeting with her and Elena. It couldn't just be a coincidence.

She took a breath and calmed herself, before she slipped the invitation into her purse, walked up the steps and into the house. Inside, it reminded her of every Miss Mystic Falls pageant she'd attended. It was similar to Tyler's house, but it was lavishly decorated, with glittering chandeliers and champagne fountains.

As she moved further into the room, she noticed people staring. A warm flush crept up her neck but she ignored it and searched the crowd of ballgowns and suits for Elena.

She found her mid-argument with Stefan and Damon. They had both agreed to stay away from the ball. Evidently, neither of them could stay away from Elena.

Bonnie moved to approach them when someone stepped into her path. Annoyanced prickled beneath her skin. It wasn't helped much by the smirking face staring down at her. Even if he was sort of attractive.

"Please, tell me you didn't come with either of those idiots," he said, and her heart dropped at the lilting accent as he nodded in the direction she had been headed. "It would simply devastate me."

She pressed her lips together and swallowed, trying to ignore her thumping heart and the fact that he could hear it. He was one of them.

His head tilted, and his features pinched together as if amused.

"I'm sorry, I'm being ungracious. My mother would kill me for not introducing myself to a lady. Kol Mikaelson."

His smile grew wider as he held his hand out to her, expectant. He waited as Bonnie hesitated, raising an eyebrow ever so slightly. She kept her hands by her sides and he chuckled, dropping his hand back to his side.

"I understand your distrust, but I assure you, Bonnie, I am nothing like my siblings," he said. "For one, I'm far more charming."

"Agree to disagree," Bonnie said tightly, offering up only a dry smile in return. It only seemed to fuel his amusement, and her eyes narrowed as the realization hit her. "Wait. How do you know my name?"

"My mother informed us there was to be a Bennett witch in our midst tonight," Kol said simply, and he shrugged. "She seemed worried that my siblings wouldn't greet you with the warmest regards."

Bonnie raised her eyebrows. "What, so, she sent you to make sure none of them ripped my throat out? How do I know you aren't going to do the same?"

"Because unlike my siblings, I have an appreciation for witches," he said. "Considering I, myself, used to be one."

She wasn't buying it. "Well, then, you can appreciate that I can look after myself. I don't need a vampire bodyguard, but thanks for the concern."

She managed to side-step him this time and hurried through the crowd. She located Elena, who was one Salvatore less than before. As she explained what they were doing there, Bonnie caught Kol watching them, smile still intact.

She quickly looked away again, that warmth creeping back up her neck as she tried to forget their encounter and put him out of her mind. They had a plan. Focus on the plan and maybe they'd be able to get out of there alive.
