She's hearing the voices of the possessed, begging for help or laughing wildly, and she hears the voices of the elements themselves, claiming that they can make her an alicorn. She just wants to cuddle her sister or hug her mom White Wing or get a kiss from her dad Birch Branch or go on a date with her boyfriend but she NEEDS to listen so that the town can formulate a defense but she jUST WANTS EVERYTHING TO BE

and then her sister calls to the moon for help

and an Alicorn princess answers

followed by the Element wielders

and everything finally gets quiet

It has been only a few months since Sybok escaped once more and built an ugly trap for Spock--you can only save one, love (Christine) or logic (T'Pring), but the trap goes wrong and both women are sucked into a mysterious time vortex.

When the efforts of the Enterprise Crew get them out again, both women are changed, but with no memory of their time in the vortex. Christine struggles with depression and a feeling of futility, and T'Pring is plagued by uncontrollable rage.

Will discovering what happened inside the time vortex heal their damaged minds? Or must they choose to take more drastic steps?

Evie geht also Lend besuchen. Sie sprechen über faszinierende Dinge: Evies eiskalte Hände (und Körpertemperatur), Lends Langeweile, Reth.

Also, Evie und Reth waren mal…zusammen? Oder so? Jedenfalls hat er sie regelmäßig mit seiner Wärme gefüllt.

Dann ging einer von Evies Einsätzen schief, Reth half ihr, indem er den Werwolf von einem Baum zerquetschen ließ, das machte Evie Angst und sie hielt sich von ihm fern – wortwörtlich kalter Entzug sozusagen.

„Und jetzt versucht er jedes Mal, wenn wir uns sehen, mich zu berühren, und dann spüre ich, wie sich die Wärme wieder ausbreitet, wie sie versucht, zu meinem Herzen zu gelangen.“

Raquel taucht auf und ist alles andere als begeistert, Evie bei Lend zu sehen.

Blabla, irgendwas Da Draußen™ bringt Paranormale um, es gibt andere Organisationen außer der IBKP, die sich für sowas interessieren, Lend ist eingebrochen, weil eine Banshee meinte, die Schlüsselinformationen lägen in der IBKP.

Raquel findet das alles nicht sehr hilfreich und zerrt Evie praktisch mit sich aus dem Raum. Evie fühlt sich verraten und nicht ernst genommen (Raquel so: Ach, vielleicht ist es nicht so schlecht, wenn du dich mit Lend anfreundest, vielleicht lenkt das dein dummes hübsches Mädchenköpfchen von deiner Besessenheit mit Reth ab) und macht einen Teenager-Abgang.

The world exists in such a baffling state of simultaneous sex-aversion and sex-hegemony. I've had this little idea in my head for a while now, so I decided to sit down and plot it out.

Disclaimer: This isn't meant to be some sort of One-Worksheet-Fits-All situation. This is meant to be a visual representation of some type of story planning you could be doing in order to develop a plot!

Lay down groundwork! (Backstory integral to the beginning of your story.) Build hinges. (Events that hinge on other events and fall down like dominoes) Suspend structures. (Withhold just enough information to make the reader curious, and keep them guessing.)

And hey, is this helps... maybe sit down and write a story! :)

☁️ Cloud: Describe your MC’s arc during the main story. Is it positive or negative?

In Mortal Sparks, it is positive, if only for the reason that I'm not sure Nicolette could sink any lower to start with...

At the beginning, Nicolette is pretty low, she is a failure of a necromancer for a couple of spoiler reasons, she has no friends or family or money, she is stuck in a town with everyone that hates her...

And then it turns out that she's not actually a failure, but her retroactive success is in fact a bigger problem. And so she and Alyss try to do something about it due to a queasy sense of responsibility (Nicolette) and the understanding of exactly how bad that particular success could be for everyone (Alyss).

So they try to figure out what exactly they can do, and realize that this particular problem has happened before with disastrous results. Nicolette confesses to being a bad necromancer and gets a nice boost to her self-confidence in the form of some mummies. Oh and by the way there's a world war going on a continent away, and ending it might be the only chance of making the problem stop before it gets to the end-universe stage of the problem.

Having managed to learn from the mummies about necromancery things, Nicolette is able to be a way better necromancer, and uses that to scare all the powerful people into stopping the war, makes peace with the soul of her dead mother, and the problem is fixed, with consequences.
