Mise en scene hair serum - lasted for more than a year even with daily use! I'm trying the Aqua variant this time.

Anessa sunblock- really good but expensive

Olay Retinol24- my first retinol product that worked. I want to try other popular products first.

Finished up bottles and tubes of skincare. Also going through my hotel toiletries so they don’t go to waste. Have also been doing makeup decluttering.

Repurchase:

Luxe Organix sunblock- love how light it feels. And it smells mild and fresh!

Shampoo and conditioner bars

Oral-B electric toothbrush head

In2it eyebrow powder- love this for my pro makeup kit

Maybe:

Zenutrients deo spray- Like how effective this is in neutralizing odor. But I think it makes my UA feel rough (?)

Hada Labo face wash- one of my options when there’s nothing new I want to try

Mayumi lotion bar- I hate that it crumbles before I even finish it. But I love the scent and it’s moisturizing effect.

Mise en scene Perfect Serum- I already repurchased in the original variant. Used this almost every day for about 10 months. Love this hair serum!

Son & Park Beauty Water- preps my skin for makeup

All the zero waste stuff- solid shampoo and conditioner, dental floss, bar soap, lotion bar

I have really pared down my hard plastic consumption! Also, it looks like I use a lot of shampoo but that includes my son's share. All in all, I use less shampoo and conditioner compared to when they came out of a bottle.

GCQ-MECQ-back to GCQ

These are stuff I finished in the last 2 months. You will see a lot of empty samples and cartons (yey!). I’ve been really good about using solid shampoo and conditioner. And honestly, I love them! It’s not so hard once you find products you love.

Repurchase:

Luxe Organix body cream- I bought this before I got into zero waste, and I really like it. The gel/cream feels so soothing, and the aloe smell is calming.

Luxe Organix Whitening Repair toner- I will repurchase this anyway because skincare

Missha Time Revolution The First Treatment Essence- this was my second bottle. Hmm I think I want to try other essences for now. But this remains in my go-to skincare list.

Dove body soaps- HG

Mayumi Organics shampoo bar- my favorite non-drying shampoo bar

SloStore refillable dental floss- definitely a game changer

GCQ Edition

It makes me sad to contribute so much plastic waste. As much as possible, I will not be purchasing bottles of shampoo, conditioner, body wash and feminine wash anymore-I've switched them out to bar versions. With that said, my thoughts on some products:

Fresh Milk conditioner-loved how this made my hair feel soft and light. The scent is also different from what you would normally find in drugstores

Dermax UV Milk sunscreen- Again, the milk scent makes this smell soothing. I like how light it feels but it's a bit expensive at P800+

Crystal deo- My HG but has failed me this summer. Plus, non-reusable plastic

Integrate powder foundation- Shiseido dupe... I think it's Shiseido's little sister? I think I've had this for 3 years and have hit pan. Will keep the compact and buy a refill when I visit Taiwan/HK again

Missha Time Revolution Night ampoule-I thought this was a good product but not an Estee Lauder dupe. Other serums have more noticeable results

Vaseline Rosy Lips-HG but will try to DIY in a reusable container

Cala Vit C cleansing makeup wipes- I did like these but not environmentally friendly

Pro makeup kit purge

I would repurchase:

Maybelline mascara- cheap and just works

Maybellibe liner- cheap and gets thrown out after 3 months like the mascara

Maybelline liquid lipstick- I love the coconut/cupcake scent of these. Again, they’re also not that expnsive.

Colourpop brow gel- I love these and are my first brow gel. I don’t know if I need to upgrade to ABH since it’s really the technique that matters. We’ll see when I need to restock.

What will I repurchase?

3W Clinic Green Tea cleanser- light scent; did not irritate my skin

Maybelline FitMe foundation- love this formula

LA Girl Pro Conceal- used this as contour; easy to apply but brush applicator isn’t hygienic. The shade Toast looks good on me.

Vaseline lip balm- HG lip balm

Belo Tinted Sunscreen- I’ve had this same tube for 2 years. It takes awhile to finish since I only use it when I leave the house during the day. Might get the smaller tube next time.

Maybelline eyeliner is always a good and inexpensive choice.

Honestly, I haven’t finished the mini Mac Russian Red but just depotted it into my pro lip palette.
