Here is a 30 minute HIIT circuit whole body workout.  Each exercise is performed for 30 seconds with 30 seconds of rest.  Due to intensity, I do not recommend performing HIIT more than a couple times per week. Here is my Legs (Glutes and Hamstrings) workout.  Each exercise is performed in 3 to 4 sets and 5-12 repetitions.  Lately I am pyramid style with escalating weight each set.  Tempo is controlled - 3 second negatives and 1 second positive. Always exhale during positive/concentric phase of lifts.  For lifting cues and techniques, ask on here or DM.  Check back tomorrow for my Back workout.  As you can see, you do not need a whole lot of equipment and space to get into great shape.  I have not had a gym membership in maybe 4 or 5 years now. I use: an Ironmaster bench @ironmasteruk @ironmasterusa with all the attachments, PowerBlock adjustable dumbbells, a barbell, landmine rotational tool, kettlebells, Lebert Equalizers, stability ball, and strength and resistance bands.  All of this equipment would cost under $3000.  My home gym floor is less than 100 square feet.   Legs and Glutes (Hamstring Focus) 1.       Barbell Deadlifts with Strength Band 2.       Single Leg Deadlifts with Landmine 3.       Side and Curtsy Lunge 4.       Lateral Shuffle with Booty Band 5.       Bridge 6.       Hip Extension on Bench with Ankle Weight 7.       Leg Flexion on Bench If you are interested in personal training, I offer live online personal training and in-person training in Grimsby, Hamilton, Burlington, Oakville, Mississauga, and Toronto. Here is my pandemic program I have been following for the past 6 months (occasionally swapping exercises and adjusting training variables).   I will post a workout every day this wk. These videos show the progress I have made during the lockdown.  I put on muscle mass and have gone from 225lb to 190lb (at 6 ft tall). I have  lost 7 inches around my waist (40” to 33”).  I cleaned up my diet and eliminated treats like ice cream, chips, cookies etc.  I also quit alcohol 2 yrs ago. I have one treat and not-so-healthy dinner per wk.  I use a protein powder blend (whey, casein, egg) and a multivitamin.  I take magnesium and zinc before bed.  I consume around 160g-200g of protein per day from eggs, cheese, Icelandic yogurt, chicken, beans, hemp seeds etc. 1. Chest  2. Abs, Obliques, and Lower Back 3. Legs (Hamstring Focus) and Glutes  4. Back 5. Legs (Quads Focus), Glutes, and Calves 6. Shoulders and Rotator Cuff 7. Biceps and Triceps - I stretch and roll a couple times per wk.   Let’s get to it! Here is a rare, non-fitness related post that is just too good not to share!  It is just too cute and heart-warming.  Last weekend, Hamid @hammirockstar , his son, and I went out boating at Port Credit.  We found a duckling that was abandoned.  It followed our boat and would not leave us.  It kept returning.  We tried to bring it to the ducks around the area but it was rejected.  We brought him home and my friend’s kid named him Spot.  We fed it and let it play in the backyard.  It saw us as parents.  It would follow us around and not let us out of sight.  Mississauga/Halton Wildlife Rescue was called and they picked up Spot.  I can only hope this duckling finds a loving family and home.  #cute #nature #duck #duckling #wildlife #torontowildlife #portcredit #happiness #happy #love #animals #babyanimals  (at Port Credit) https://www.instagram.com/p/CQ0nUyCMtRJ/?utm_medium=tumblr

Mixed Exercises IG Have you hit a plateau and are looking to make workouts more challenging and fun?  I typically focus on a few standard exercises for each muscle group and tweak the weights and tempos. I recommend everyone tries to master foundational exercises and adjust variables. It has been a couple months since I have posted any fitness videos on social media.  I moved and was busy setting up.  I found an ideal apartment for workout videos and online training.  Training is coming along but I am maybe 2 or 3 months off achieving my goal of being in peak condition for my 40th birthday. tend to like routine and my Sundays have been my designated calm recovery day.  Hiking is one of my favourite activities to meditate and be present and in touch with nature.  I really enjoy discovering new places and landscapes.
