Have you ever made your own wraps? They are so easy! All you need is flour and water, a bit of oil and some salt. You can add other flavours too if you like, but the basic recipe is amazing on its own. The ingredients are all often available #packagefree so it's great for your footprint. My favourite Winter breakfast. Oats are an easy staple to find zero waste or in huge, bulk size paper bags. I used to find them quite bland & boring, but the internet is awash with tasty recipes from overnight bircher muesli to creamy cooked oats with lashings of nut butter and berries. I'd like to share my fave go-to recipe by @pinchofyum (definitely check out Lindsay's page full of yummy recipes!)  🍌 This is her Caramelized Banana Oatmeal (with slightly reworded instructions.) 🍌 INGREDIENTS 1 cup rolled oats 3 bananas, sliced into rounds 1/4 cup coconut oil 1/4 cup real maple syrup sprinkle of cinnamon dash of vanilla sea salt, chocolate chips, and other desired toppings 🍌 INSTRUCTIONS 1. Cook the oats - bring 1 cup water or plant milk of your choice and a pinch of salt to a boil in a small saucepan. Stir in 1/2 cup oats and reduce heat to medium; cook, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes. 2. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the sweetener, cinnamon, and vanilla, and let it bubble around for a little bit to mix and become bubbly. 3. Add bananas to the pan and simmer for a few minutes on each side until soft. 4. Remove from heat. Stir half of the bananas into the oats, and reserve the rest to go on top. Zerowasting IRL 🌱 : Never buying a bag of powdered sugar again! Seriously, the easiest zerowaste recipe ever! . . . 🧁 1 Cup sugar 🌽 1Tbsp corn starch and blend! . . . In almost 2 years of being zerowaste, I’ve NEVER seen confectioners sugar in bulk. I did a little research and it turns out that powdered sugar really is just finely ground sugar. Put it in a food processor with some corn starch to help it grind down, and bam💥! You have yourself a winter wonderland of powderly, snowy white, confectioners sugar. . . . With the holiday season coming up, I hope this tip helps your baking! After all, dessert is the really the best part of a any meal. 😋🍰 . . . P.s. Inspired by AmericanThanksgiving: almondflour breaded salmon fillet with a side of sweet mashed potatoes. The salmon was seasoned with lime and Himalayan pink salt, and I added black pepper, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, thyme, and mustard to the almond flour. The sweet mashed potatoes have salt, pepper, nutmeg and cinnamon, with raisins, pecans and demerara sugar on top. All ingredients were bought unpackaged. Yay!
