Kunikida is more similar to Linus and he has this slightly unhinged energy that just screams Kunikida to me and linus in constantly battling his Gay Urges whenever he sees the orphanage director so. I am keeping the skk but skk are now happily? married and running the orphanage and this is gonna be kunichuuzai because I think all three should kiss.

Also on the issue of kouyou and yosano. They are both kids now. They are in love. I don't make the rules (who am i kidding i DO make the rules). Kouyou is like Chuuya's little sister or smth and Yosano's an orphan.

Chuuya is going to be the orphanage director because Chuuya canonically looks at bsd kids and just, adopts them. (And because skk) And

Fukuzawa is going to be the island sprite because I Said So.

And by this logic Ranpo is going to be the super powerful younger sprite because in THitCS the younger forest sprite is mentored by the older island sprite and I think the these two deserve this ok.

Before we start, I will explain that I do not know everything about Dazai as a character, and I AM a soukoku shipper. If anything is wrong/inaccurate please put it in the reply's so I can fix it. NO ARGUMENTS PLEASE, CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM ALLOWED.

I am not a Dazai stan, I think he is attractive, but I'm more invested in his mind rather than his looks or sob story.

Okay. Dazai Osamu.

He is a murderer, liar, manipulator, abuser, and many, many more.

But despite what his ability may suggest, he is human, but not in the way I see this fandom many times portray him.

I mostly see (at least, in recent times,) Dazai portrayed as simply a manipulative psycho, which he is not. He does not kill for no reason, he does not manipulate without planning for it.

He is an absolute asshole, but we all know why.

M*ri purposely made Dazai his little puppet, at the age of fourteen. He was raised and groomed in a terrible environment, and he was so bored and tired of simply living everything he did was due to the idea that it might let him finally die at the age of 15. (Remember, the only reason Dazai decided to do the mission with Chuuya was because M*ri promised to make him a painless poison to die with)

Odasaku gave him hope, happiness, someone to not have to wear a mask around.

And what did M*ri do?

Purposely set up a situation to kill the one man Dazai could truly rely on.

Dazai could never trust, never love, never feel safe, even with the people he considered partners (ADA, Chuuya, Odasaku) because he knew that they would be taken away.

He made sure to never feel regret, never feel sadness, even after killing the partner he'd had since he was fifteen. He'd felt enough of that when Oda died.

He was and is obsessed with dying, because who is there for him to live for?

He knows he can never be a good person, but he still tried, for Oda.

He will always have a plan, have a plan B, C all the way to Z. But none of these plans will ever secure a long, happy life. Most of them aim to give Dazai a miserable life where he can die as quickly as possible.

And the only person to blame for his nature is M*ri, and his nurture was grown around M*ri and the PM.

He sees everything and has a plan to pull it to his advantage and success (Dead Apple) and anyone he meets can be played by a string to follow his deeds (Chuuya, Akutagawa).

He is terrible, and I will not excuse his behaviour because even I have a limit, but just like my Yoohyun rant, there is a solid reason for why he is the way he is, and I feel this makes Bungou Stray Dogs as a whole all the more captivating and well written.

🌈 is there a fic that you worked really fucking hard on that no one would ever know? maybe a scene/theme you struggled with?

lmao, i feel like i try way too hard on everything that i write (by virtue of being a perfectionist), but one fic in particular would have to be fever pitch (aka the soukoku porn with feelings fic). i don't know why, but it took me at least 3 months to finish (which isn't as long as some fics i started writing, then abandoned for a year, then returned to and finished in a 24 hour frenzy, BUT). it was my first time writing for the ship and i spent a lot of time trying to figure out if my characterization made sense. to me, dazai and chuuya are both incredibly complex characters, and so getting into their heads and trying to figure out how they would act in a canon divergent setting took me a while. plus, whenever i write something E-rated, i still want it to feel true to how the characters act in canon. i hope i achieved that. idk!!!

🤲 what do YOU get out of writing?

the sense of community it can create! i write because i have too many thoughts in my head and i need a place to put them. when someone engages with that writing (or when i engage with someone else's) i love that it creates this little bond between people who have something to say!! i hate the trend of treating fic (or any fan-related art) as "content" that's meant to be "consumed." i want it to feel more like an open dialogue between people who are passionate about x, y, or z!

"The Stars in His Eyes" - Alvis (Xenoblade Chronicles) x Rosalina (Super Mario Galaxy) - finished (14 chapters) - A crossover with its share of fluff and angst where Rosalina and Alvis meet.

"As Eternity Is to Time" - Xenoblade Chronicles 3 - finished (1 chapter) - Basically a theory about Aionios, Z, and the end of the game.

"Untitled Soukoku" - Dazai Osamu x Nakahara Chuuya (Bungo Stray Dogs), Untitled Goose Game - finished (1 chapter) - Dazai introduces Chuuya to a game in which you are a horrible goose.

"It's So Fluffy It Could Kill You!" - Xenoblade Chronicles - finished (1 chapter) - Some goofy shenanigans about the creation of Bionis.

"I Like It Better Up Here, With You" - Bungo Stray Dogs - finished (3 chapters) - A slice of life about Dazai and Atsushi's friendship.

"While I Think" - Xenoblade Chronicles - finished (1 chapter) - A conversation between Alvis and Melia after the events of Prison Island because those two don't get enough interaction.

Right now I'm working on a sequel to "The Stars in His Eyes," which will have 10 chapters and will be out in the next month!

--- if dazai brought sskk together & told them that their union of powers are important in protecting ‘The Book’, does that mean there might be a future in which beast!sskk meet the original sskk/canon storyline?

--- dazai also said that there were infinite possibilities to the worlds, so: every fanfic au known to man, soukoku but it’s canon, chuuya without a hat, anyone??

--- i wonder how the abilities of beast!aku + canon atsu would match up? (along with that, what about the abilities of beast!atsu + canon aku?) who would win?

--- hooray we got like two panels of tachihara !!

--- honestly, i love the art style so much, (maybe even more than the original one?-) i wonder how it would look if it was actually animated?
