Trans Journal: Fever Dreams

So I am home sick this week and just tested positive for Influenza A but I want to sing praises to my clinic. Y'all. My pride clinic. I love these people so fuckin much. There's rainbow stuff everywhere. They have a cute felt shark laundry bin absolutely stuffed with condoms in the office. They let me text them. I'm so scared to go to normal doctors and clinics right now so I texted them asking if I could come in for a flu check and of course they let me, masked up, of course. I got poked and prodded by a dope APRN with the sickest skull sweater and cool hair that had kitty pictures behind their desk. And those silly dinosaur chimkin nuggie pillows that I keep seeing in Tumblr ads on the couch. Y'all. I am so feverish and having the weirdest dreams and was able to appreciate the Angry Birds movie and could write an essay about it and I know that this is so disjointed but I need my moots to understand that despite wearing my silly little Steven Rhodes shirt of "Timmy has a Visitor" because I feel like the Reaper is visiting me right now, my love for my Pride Clinic and these wonderful, wonderful people including my partner makes things suck less.

And my partner is being so wonderful and reassuring despite being on the recovery leg himself. I am not good about asking for help or communicating my wants and needs, especially while sick, because of past trauma. But he made a big pot of fancy soup to help make me feel better and is so sweet and lovely.

I will probably not be very active right now because I am a stupid baby that wants to be wrapped up and left to sleep like a Victorian child dying of plague but I needed you to know that there is still some good in the world. But if you have any recommendations of media I can consume in this state I am very open to suggestions.

Trans Journal: Voice Change Noticable

My mom called to update me on some family drama, yay (/s). But also asked if I wasn't feeling well because my voice sounded off. Nope, just the hrt taking effect, ma! The way she said "oh! My son!" was wonderful. We joked that although second puberty is kinda rough, it's much easier this time. Especially since I know how to wash myself better (thanks, dysphoria) and which products work and which don't. Though I will absolutely be taking my clinic's advice to go ahead and buy a soft bristled beard brush to help this thing come in correctly. Nothing like looking like a 14 year old boy with my acne and pathetic beard, getting carded by UPS to sign for a package only for my son to have his ready faster. I was offended. Still am.

I think that's probably because I never expected to reach this age? Didn't think I'd make it to 18. Or 21. Nor 30. Now life feels much more worth living. I like my wrinkles. I look forward to getting grays. I've earned my age and worked hard just to get here. I actually enjoy not getting carded. Hopefully when my beard looks like it belongs to a man in his 30s, instances of being carded and other such things will decrease in frequency.

Update! Luigi's Attorney Dickey confirms that his "outburst" where he tells the cameras that this is unjust, was because he was never read his miranda rights and was under the impression at that time that he was being denied the right to a fair trial, an attorney, or any legal representation.

He is angry and terrified in that footage because they have failed to follow basic procedure to inform him that he has any rights at all. This is a major red flag of police corruption. This is UNACCEPTABLE and further means any interrogation they did of him is unlawful, and inadmissible in court.
