Ok i am slightly further into this book now and I have some amends to make.

Kunikida is more similar to Linus and he has this slightly unhinged energy that just screams Kunikida to me and linus in constantly battling his Gay Urges whenever he sees the orphanage director so. I am keeping the skk but skk are now happily? married and running the orphanage and this is gonna be kunichuuzai because I think all three should kiss.

Also on the issue of kouyou and yosano. They are both kids now. They are in love. I don't make the rules (who am i kidding i DO make the rules). Kouyou is like Chuuya's little sister or smth and Yosano's an orphan.

Ok y'all, I'm in the middle of reading The House in the Cerulean Sea (an actual published book, shocking, haven't read on of those in years, well it's not physical tho, it's on overdrive) and because bsd brain rot is still going strong my mind won't shut up about doing a THitCS (I am abbreviating for my sanity ok) au for bsd so here we go.

Dazai shall be our mc Linus here. Why? Because I said so. I feel like Linus's no nonsense attitude fits well with Dazai and Linus's zero social life and (secretly) being lonely is very reminiscent of 15 Dazai and Dark Era Dazai.

Oda is going to be Dazai's pet cat or dog idk yet. No I do not make the rules.

Chuuya is going to be the orphanage director because Chuuya canonically looks at bsd kids and just, adopts them. (And because skk) And

Fukuzawa is going to be the island sprite because I Said So.

And by this logic Ranpo is going to be the super powerful younger sprite because in THitCS the younger forest sprite is mentored by the older island sprite and I think the these two deserve this ok.

The resident crazy antichrist kid goes to Q because its Q.

Rest of the kids are Atsushi, Kyouka, Akutagawa, Gin, Kenji, Junichiro, and Naomi

Anyways I kinda wanna make Yosano and Kunikida kids too, but that feels wrong. idk I'm only like 8 chapters into THitCS I'll figure something out for them.

Very weird to me how a lot of people are talking about Legends Z-A taking place in the current day/future when I didn't get that vibe from the trailer at all? Like, I could totally end up being wrong here, but the trailer seems to me to just be depicting a Blueprint (a pretty old-fashioned PLA-style document, might I add) of a grand urban vision of a Lumiose City that is going to be created.

The segment of the trailer where everything goes blue and sort of "futuristic"-looking, is really just animating this paper blueprint; I don't think it's supposed to be in-universe futuristic tech, I think it's a stylized way of showing the future of Lumiose that the blueprints are imagining. This is backed up by a lot of the promo material mentioning how PLZA will be about redeveloping the city into a place where "people and Pokémon can live together", a goal that is blatantly already accomplished in this vision of the future.

Essentially, the blueprints are from long ago in the past, i.e. the time period where the game is set. And the foundation for the grand Lumiose City we know in XY is laid by these very blueprints, which is what we then see depcited in the "vision" part of the trailer.

As many people have mentioned, there was a massive urban redevelopment of Paris that took place contemporary with when Legends Arceus would've taken place. And that makes perfect sense for the game's setting. Not current day.

Maybe I'll be wrong, maybe there’ll be a future element to the game, but I really don't think that's something we can actually infer at all from this trailer.

I wasn’t even going to post this, because I didn’t want to contribute to some of the anxieties that you all are having about the election, but when I spoke to Lord Lucifer about it yesterday, he got really quiet.

But when I looked at him, his eyes communicated something incredibly intense. I could see flames and hear anguish.

Pokémon XY Week 2024

Day 1: Starter Pokémon / Bonds of Friendship

HAPPY (belated) BIRTHDAY POKÉMON X AND Y!!! I decided to join in for this special celebration with Legends Z-A on the horizon (I have heard about the leaks recently and am doing my best to avoid them, NO SPOILERS FOR ME THANK YOU 😤😤😤)

Anywho, I drew my favourite starter and the starter I chose for my Pokémon Y playthrough playing in the water together!

I’ve seen a lot of speculation as to who the starters for Legends Z-A could be, and while I personally believe it makes the most sense for Piplup to be the water starter (I mean… Empoleon… Napoleon… it’s perfectly plausible!), I would be absolutely overjoyed and probably explode if it turns out to be Totodile like a bunch of others are saying (trying not to get my hopes up hhh)

Since we’re on the subject of water, I am Legally Obligated to relay the following message:

More like any other mutt.

The baby will blend all the dominant traits of the two breeds, and anything with variable expression will come out mixed together.

Body type, for example, will be a blend of the two, favoring whoever has the more dominant structure.

Body type:

Wildly variable, but always leans more towards the feral structure.

Tail fan:

Mom is Indian fantail or mindian? I can't really get a sense of scale.

So, because tail feather number is a variable trait, they will end up with a few more tail feathers than dad, but nowhere near Mom's fan.

Crest:

Mom's peak crest is recessive, so unless Dad carries crest, all their kids will be crestless, but will carry it.

Shell and Peak crest are two different expressions of the same gene, so if Dad carries a shell crest, the children of theirs that do end up crested will have a delightfully ridiculous looking mess if shell and peak, which can range from wide saggy shell to weird flattened peak, to looks like gramma just ruffled their hair something awful. XD

Muffs:

Mom's muffs are actually a combination of the dominant gene Slipper and the recessive gene Grouse.

Dad doesn't seem to carry Grouse, so the feathering you see on their feet is the visual Slipper.

Color:

Ash Red, Blue, and Brown are the sex linked base colors of pigeons.

In mammals, the sex chromosomes are xy male and xx female.

In Birds, the sex chromosomes are ZZ male and ZW female.

Sex linked traits are carried on the Z, so, because Dad has two, he can visually express one and hide a recessive.

Mom, because she only has the one Z, can't hide a second.

Ash Red is dominant over blue and brown.

So and ash red cock could carry a second Ash red gene, making him homozygous, or he could be hiding a recessive blue or brown.

Blue is recessive to Ash Red, but dominant over brown.

So, a blue cock could either have two copies of blue, or be hiding a recessive brown.

Brown is recessive to both other base colors, so it can only be expressed visually if both copies are brown.

What you have here is a blue cock and an ash red hen.

A blue cock on an ash red hen throws self-sexing babies.

If he is homozygous, he can either give one blue Z or the other to his offspring.

If he carries brown, he could either give a blue Z or a brown Z.

Ether way, what Mom gives determines sex.

She could either give her Ash Red Z, making the baby a cock and covering over Dad's blue or brown.

Or she can give her W, making either a blue or brown baby hen.

So, all Reds from this pair will always be cocks.

And blue or brown babies will always be hens.

T is dominant over all other patterns, but has a variable expression.

So you'll run the gamut from a clear T like Mom to birds that look nearly solid colored like Dad.

They could potentially carry check, bar, or barless, but if they both carry a different recessive, you may not have the opportunity to find out.

Okay, guys, here’s the deal: I’m considering starting to post on another platform in addition to here just in case anything happens to my account (I have had account issues in the past, and I think it would be nice to have a neat little place where all my whole {non-broken up} chapters live together). I know some platforms are better for reading as opposed to community building, and people have preferences for sites they read on as well, so I would like to give people an option(s).

I know a lot of ya’ll post on Ao3, so I know it’s whump-friendly, and it’s a platform okay with hosting more mature works. Which, honestly, is the biggest determining factor for me as I’m not looking to get flagged and have my stuff taken down for XY&Z (future me is concerned about the general theme, NSFW & gruesome torture scenes, and the like breaking community guidelines and sticking me a permanent ban).

I don’t have an Ao3 account, but I joined the waitlist to get an account last night. I also started making a Wattpad account—if Wattpad is not the move for whumpy works, please yell at me because I don’t know the ins and outs of whump culture elsewhere in the corners of the interwebs, nor have I been in the game for very long!

What are your thoughts on what za's time period might be? I can't figure out if I'd prefer it to be past or future

i answered an ask kinda about this on the day of the announcement but here are my thoughts now that it's been a bit and i got to digest

i'm honestly starting to be more and more in the "both" camp tbh?? like the trailer involves a lumiose redevelopment plan or whatever which feels like "past" but the overall aesthetic is very futuristic which feels like "future". i feel like it would also kind of ties together nicely with scarvio also having that past and future theming to have both in one extra game?

i also got the TPC email for the game in french yesterday and i was struck by the phrasing (i didn't get the english one so no clue how they phrased it there.)

like, to me (and this is very likely overanalyzing don't get me wrong) the way it's phrased makes me feel like it's saying that (at the time the redevelopment plan was put in place) lumiose belonged more to pokémons than it did to humans, which feels like it's pointing toward the past. like maybe lumiose was originally built around pokémons with them in mind and then later was reworked into the state it's at in pokémon xy where it's clearly a city meant to be shared by both species. that was just my initial vibe tho, it might not mean anything.

something about the way it's framed (as i said to the anon before) still kind of strikes me as pointing toward it also being an attempt to actually gives us pokémon z at long last... so i guess my ideal at this point would be we follow two stories entirely in lumiose, one is in the past when they were reworking the city into being a safe haven for both humans and pokémons, one is in the near future after pokémon xy and maybe there are parallels there involving wrestling with the post-team flare stuff. THIS IS A VERY SELFISH WISH THO... LIKE IF I GOT CANONICAL POST-CANON CONTENT I WOULD PROBABLY DIE... tho it would make me sad altho bc it would make all my post-canon stuff would automatically be jossed lmao but whereas a few years ago i would have been wary of that possibility the way lysandre has been depicted in the likes of pokémas etc gives me hope idk. I Want To Believe.

however ! this is all very early rn and we have not much information about the game at all so i'm unwilling to theorize too much. i'm looking forward to having more elements soon...

BroZone Makes an RPG

Decided to write this as a challenge to see if I could write a story in under 50 minutes. Chose to write something light, because all my other Trolls work has been so angst riddled. I hope you enjoy :D

Branch’s room is a mess. Papers filled with different ideas and drawings are scattered about the room. There’s soda cans and bags of chips on the floor. Crumbs of different foods litter the floor.

For some reason that Branch can barely remember, him and his brothers decided that making a video game would be fun. It started when their family therapist recommended they do some sort of project together. Somehow, it snowballed into making a full-blown RPG.

Unfortunately for Branch, his room is the only room with a PC. So, all of his brothers have been gathered in there while they make the game. He sits at the computer, because he does not trust any of them with it. 

Right now, they’ve separated into roles. Branch is the main programmer for the game. Floyd is on art. John Dory is on the game’s soundtrack. Clay is the game designer. Bruce is the writer, though all of the brothers addon to the story of the game.

The game’s plot is utterly incoherent at this point. The main protagonist is a cheese maker who has a jet-pack and leaves his cheese making job to fight space moths in another galaxy. Originally, the game was a simple farmer goes to fight magic being. They all decided that was too basic. 

“I have an idea!” John Dory proclaims. Whatever he’s about to say is only going to make the game’s plot more ridiculous than it already is. “We add in ourselves.”

Everyone turns to him. “What?” Clay asks.

“We should put ourselves in as characters in the game!” John Dory has a wide grin on his face. It’s apparent that he’s really proud of this idea. “You know, make space version of ourselves that the player can meet! It’ll show off just how cool we are.”

“I call being a vendor!” Bruce says. “I want my character to sell the player food items, and be really chill.”

Floyd quickly scribbles on the sketchbook he’s holding. He holds up a very sloppy drawing of Bruce in a Hawaiian space suit. His long purple hair flowing in the anti-gravity. “What do you think of this?”

“This is great!” Bruce exclaims.

Branch agrees. Despite being drawn in only a few seconds, it looks really good. Plus, he can completely see Bruce as being a chill vendor that gives players a brief respite from the chaos of the rest of the game.

“Well, I want my character to be a jet-pack safety enforcer.” Clay crosses his arms. “I don’t think people realize just how dangerous jet-packs are.”

Branch nods. Truly a great choice for Clay’s character. It’s something really necessary for world-building.  People can barely handle moving on an XY axis adding in a Z axis would only add to the chaos and destruction.

Floyd scribbles on his sketchbook again. He shows Clay the drawing he made of Clay’s character having a green argyle space suit with a hazard vest on top holding a stop sign.

“This is great!” Clay takes the sketchbook from Floyd. He holds it high above his head, admiring it.

“My character should be a suave cool adventurer who has been fighting the space moths for years,” John Dory says. Those first two words are really turning this sci-fi into a fantasy.

Floyd takes the sketchbook back from Clay. He scribbles down another drawing. This one is mostly just John Dory in a space suit. Nothing has really changed.

“This is fantastic!” John Dory exclaims. “You really captured my essence well, Floyd.”

It is literally just a drawing of John Dory in a space suit. If anything Floyd managed to make him look less cool. The space suit doesn’t really work on him.

“For my character, I should be the one to give players advice on how to fight and give them weapons to defend themself with,” Branch says. That feels like the most fitting thing for him. He wants his character to help the player on their way.

“Giving items to the player. That’s too close to being a vendor!” Bruce exclaims.

Branch rolls his eyes. “There’s nothing that says that only one of can be vendor. Besides, selling food items is different than giving weapons.”

“I guess,” Bruce says.

While they argued, Floyd drew Branch’s character. He has a backpack filled with different weapons, his character has war paint on his face. The spacesuit that he wears has a design reminiscent of Branch’s vest.

“I love this!” Branch exclaims.

“What do you want your character to be, Floyd?” Clay asks. “You’ve drawn all of us, why not yourself.”

All eyes are on Floyd. He awkwardly laughs. “I don’t know. I can’t really think of what I would want to be.” He shrugs. “Don’t really see myself as being in space. You know?”

Everyone is silent for a second.

Bruce gasps. “That’s it!” He slams his fist against his palm. “What if you were a musician on Earth that was a friend of the player’s before they left for their journey in space?”

“Well, then I’d be on Earth, but all of you would be in space,” Floyd says.

“He’s got a point it doesn’t make sense for only one of us to be on Earth.” Branch scratches his head. He knows how much it sucks to be the only one left behind. Even if it’s only in a video game, he doesn’t want to leave any of his brothers behind. “Players would probably be confused as to why only one brother is on Earth.”

“Are our characters brothers in-game?” Clay asks.

“Of course, they are. They’re just us but in a video game,” Bruce says. 

He has a point. These characters are them. They’re brothers in real-life and in the game. Branch thinks for a second. How could they fix this issue? 

“I’ve got an idea!” Branch exclaims. “Floyd’s character could be a DJ on Earth that plays different songs for the player to listen to! And what if there was a small chance that if the player went back to Earth, they could find all of us hanging out.”

Floyd smiles softly. “I like that.”

“We should all have something to show that we’re all connected too.” Clay says. “A symbol that shows our characters are connected!”

“How about a BZ with stripes that match our hair color! That way everyone would know that they’re us!” Bruce exclaims.

Even though it is very obvious that the characters are them, just in a sci-fi setting, that’s still a great idea. “I like it,” Branch says.

“Yeah!” Clay exclaims.

“BroZone in space!” John Dory exclaims. He pulls all his brothers in for a hug, Dragging Branch in his computer chair. “I just now that this game is going to be a major hit!”

Despite his doubts about them making a game together, Branch is still happy that he gets to work on something with his brothers again. The best part is that there is no pressure. No one expects them to make a perfect game. There’s not going to be a huge terrible fight that fractures their family again.

It’s just five brothers in a room working on something that they may never end up finishing. That’s alright. Whatever they make, even if it’s bad, incomplete, or both, is going to great. Because for the first time in a long time, they all worked on it together.

Probably not quite last-minute Z-A predictions (I mean they’re more wishes than predictions) but I wanted to share my wishlist before leak season begins

Grass starter: Grass/Fairy Meganium

Fire starter: Fire/Steel Blaziken

Water starter: Water/Fighting Inteleon

Time period: 100-200 years after XY (cyberpunk with some greenery)

Male player character: based on Serena

Female player character: based on Calem

Bonus: non-binary/genderless player character (idc they wouldn’t do this they made it possible to be non-binary in GO I’d like to think they can do that in the core series somehow): based on Shauna (I do btw think the the player(s) not chosen should appear as NPCs so idk how this would work. I’d say this is my most ambitious idea out of all of these)

New Megas: Chesnaught, Delphox, Greninja, Kalosian Meganium, Kalosian Blaziken, Kalosian Inteleon, Goodra, Aromatisse and Slurpuff (because they’re cool Pokémon that deserve special treatment, not because “they suck and should get new forms so we don’t have to look at their ugly (they’re not ugly) faces anymore”), Meowscarada, Quaquaval (bonus points if they give it the massive wings I think Decidueye should have had if it had got a special Terastal form), Armarouge, Ceruledge, Volcanion and Hoopa(?)

Additional new forms: 100% Xerneas and Yveltal, Scarlet Beast Walking Wake and Violet Sword Iron Leaves (because I will not let the fact that the drawings in the books are imagined stop me from thinking the fusions would make these cool trios even cooler if that’s even possible when four of them make up my top 3 favourite Pokémon (sorry Bolt and Crown you two are pretty cool too you’re just not Wake, Leaves, Fire or Boulder)) when trying to put my ideas together in a procreate artwork for some reason I decided to give them signature moves with two effects/gimmicks each. Effect one is that SB Wake’s move defaults to Special but can become Physical “if it would do more damage” while VS Leaves’s move defaults to Physical but can become Special “if it would do more damage”. What I believe I meant with those is if those are their higher attacking stats but what it actually implies to me upon looking at it late at night is that it depends on stuff like the opponent’s defensive stats and anything like Reflect and Light Screen and stuff that would alter the amount of damage done by one type of attack while not altering the amount of damage done by the other type of attack and I’m really overthinking it now. Anyway the second effect is that SB Wake’s move increases to 120% damage in Rain, Sandstorm and Snow but 200% in Harsh Sunlight while VS Leaves’s move increases to 120% damage on Grassy Terrain, Misty Terrain and Psychic Terrain (apart from the fact that it’s a Psychic-type move and anyway gains a boost under Psychic Terrain) and 200% under Electric Terrain. Also I decided the fusions are by default pure Dragon (Wake) or pure Psychic (Leaves) but their abilities are upgraded versions of Protosynthesis and Quark Drive but act like they have the collective types of their entire trios including affecting type matchups allowing for triple weaknesses or triple resistances (I don’t think either combo would have a quadruple weakness/resistance as that would mean all three members of one of the trios would have to have a double weakness/resistance). Also I decided that the unused stones in SV are used for the fusion of these two trios (when did I ever think they weren’t) and the fusions look more like the Paradox Pokémon themselves than their modern-day counterparts (Wake has a slightly longer neck to match Bolt and thinner forearms to match Wake but still mostly matches Fire’s physique (I don’t think that’s the word I was looking for there) while Leaves is more metallic and more glowy plus the stuff meant to look like Terrakion’s brick pattern looks like Boulder’s brick pattern, the neck things look like Leaves’s leaves and the collar matches Crown’s collar (I will admit the two things I prefer about Cobalion are the collar and the neck fluff. I still prefer Crown though). Also for both of them the horns are closer to Wake/Boulder’s horns than Suicune/Terrakion’s horns (although Fire’s banana spikes make up some of SB Wake’s horn and Crown’s golden horns with blue glowy energy bits make up some of VS Leaves’s horns). Honestly, I come up with such cool ideas but I don’t know how to draw it). Never let the person obsessing over the Proto Beasts and Neo Swords who wishes that the fusions could also exist come up with their wishlist for the next game. uhh probably more idk. Oh yeah regional forms for the starters and some others but I think I implied that at least twice already

Bonus changes: terrain update! 100% Xerneas creates a stronger version of Grassy Terrain (similar to Heavy Rain) and Yveltal creates a stronger version of Electric Terrain (similar to Extremely Harsh Sunlight) Grassy Terrain and Electric Terrain made the most sense to me as opposites among the Terrains plus it gives me an excuse to give Leaves a signature move of its primary type to match the rest of the Neo Swords and the Proto Beasts. This results in Leaves requiring a Grass-type version of Psyblade just like how Wake requires Hydro Steam. Fittingly Wake gets a Dragon-type version of Hydro Steam to match

Yes I know the ugly croc would get a Mega if Meowscarada and Quaquaval got them it’s just ugly so I don’t want it to get anything special (still, they got the top two best starters in the Paldean starter trio so it would’ve been too powerful if they hadn’t have put the worst starter in it too in order to balance it out)

So yeah as you can see I’m being really ambitious. I think I might have taken Game Freak’s statement that this was gonna be the most ambitious entry a little too literally

in my Great Fanfiction Rewrite of the (X)Y plot because it was sadly lacking in some places, Calem/Xavier kinda sorta joins Team Flare! To be honest this isn't my 100% original idea, I saw someone post once on here somewhere how cool it would've been if your rival, frustrated with constantly losing to you, joined Team Flare in desperation to beat you. I have taken this concept and am running with it. Xavier in my story Did Not take kindly to losing the Mega Ring to Yvonne: a rookie trainer, a girl, a girl who doesn't fall into his preconceived notions of what a young female trainer should be like, a girl he initially assumed he would be in a relationship with and he'd be the tough trainer in contrast to her contest abilities, someone from a poorer family from his. He gets uhh a little wild trying to prove his might makes right (deeply sheltered child who was never exposed to anything that would upset him syndrome)

In my head Y is the canon, but I'm doing a ramshackle combo into a tentative Z in which Yvonne and Yveltal fight Lysandre together, but also Xavier and Xerneas at some point and Zygarde is there too as a result of Team Flare managing to find BOTH legendaries (who in the anime were depicted as being right on top of each other) but only figuring out how to use Yveltal in the Ultimate Weapon. Xavier steals the Poke Flute and uses it to wake Xerneas (willingly or not - he's irrational, but IDK how down he'd be for the "destroy the world" plot, but Xerneas DEFINITELY uses ~fairy powers~ to fuck with his mind)

Yvonne has vitiligo! Dyes her hair blonde for the first halfish of the game, lets it grow out to its natural brown as a symbolic representation of not wanting to conform to certain beauty standards. She starts wearing very snazzy suits post-game, avoiding short sleeves and skirts

My HC is that Sycamore is her da! He and Grace were an item back in the day when Grace was in Kalos Rhyhorn racing, and she only realized she was pregnant when she'd already left. Sycamore didn't feel ready at all to be an active father, and Grace didn't feel any strong need to be in a relationship with him/have him be a part of Yvonne's life with a strong circle of friends and family who'd help with childrearing, so he stayed in Kalos and continued his work on evolution and Fairy Types in Kalos, every other month or so receiving an email of an update of Yvonne's life in progress. Eventually Grace's racing injuries/chronic pain is too debilitating to continue racing, and Sycamore offers his grandparents' cottage in the starting town. Yvonne knows her father is an academic/scientist in Kalos but doesn't know it's him, and doesn't want to know until she's more comfortable in the region. She DOES start to suspect though, but only confirms it mid/post-Geosenge crisis (haven't decided how long that's drawn out) in a hospital bed. Sycamore (after years of watching his daughter grow up from afar, and has become more invested in her life in the past few years) is delighted that she's willing have a familial connection

a lot of people draw Yveltal as a bird (super cool, no judgement) but it's very dragon-y to me with the hands/wings, kinda like how bat wings are just elongated fingers with skin between them. The logic of the tail eludes me though. It's Yvonne's buddy post game! As much as she does not want it to be her buddy! But when a super powerful ancient deity of death decides it wants to be your friend there's not a lot you can do to stop it. She warms up to it eventually. They have a fun time threatening Malva together

In my story there's a cool Ren Faire-ish thing happening when they arrive and they both get a little tipsy and kiss and spend the evening running around in semi-accurate reenactment dresses giggling and dancing and giving each other wildflowers

Day 18: D/D/D - Different Dimension Day @arcvmonth

Since Pokemon and Arc V, as well as the YGO franchise as a whole, are my forever special interests and combining them together brings much such immense joy, that's what I'm going to do today. I have a general idea of what the premise of the crossover could be like and then I'll just go over some Pokemon that would fit some of the characters due to their decks/personalities. Yuya and Yuzu being Pokemon Coordinators would be perfect fit. It's not exactly like Entertainment Dueling, but there is an emphasis on appealing to the crowds and the judges with your appeals and combinations. Pokemon XY did introduce Pokemon Showcases, but those are boring as sin in my opinion and those really wouldn't fit with even just Yuzu either. I kind of like the idea of Mega Evolution taking the place of Pendulum summoning. While I find that battle mechanic overhyped by the fans, it would probably work better than the other mechanics as a transformation. Academia would still be trying to find the Bracelet Girls not only for them, but for their Pokemon as well. The four dimensions would become different regions instead.

Yuya's main Pokemon would be Flygon. Out of all of the Dragon Pokemon, I think it fits him the best because it is an odd eyes Dragon Pokemon. Plus, we'd have Mega Flygon with this setup. One of the few ways to truly bring the Pokemon fanbase together. He could also get a Charizard to become Mega Charizard X instead since it would become a Dragon type, but I think Flygon fits him more. I could also see him with a Rillaboom. A gorilla playing with wooden drums just feels perfect for Yuya. Out of all of the characters, it's really easy to give Yuya a full Pokemon team it's easy to find some Pokemon that represent his Performapals. Hippopotas and Ekans are pretty solid choices too. Most other characters would specialize in a specific type, but I think Yuya would go for a variety of types to make more unique combinations in his Contests.

Yuzu's main Pokemon would be Primarina. While I love seeing Yuya and Popplio together, especially when its official artwork makes me think it would be a perfect fit for him as well, Primarina is a better match for Yuzu's deck. It's Z-Move in particular fits with how some of her monsters attack. She's specialize in Fairy types, so she'd have Pokemon like Sylveon, Gardevoir and Wigglytuff.

Yuto would have a Hydreigon. While I'm tempted to give him a Dragapult due to being part Ghost, I think that Hydreigon works with his design a bit more. He would have Dark and Ghost types. Ceruledge would be such a cool fit for him since it's probably the closest to his Phantom Knight monsters. Chandelure would be really cool too since it's one of my favorite Ghost types.

Ruri would have an Altaria. She would have less aggressive Flying type Pokemon compared to Shun, so I could see her with Swellow and a Pidgeot. An Oricorio would be really cool too, especially with it able to change forms and typing when necessary.

Yugo would have a Salamence. I think it fits him really well among Dragon types and I think that the notion of a Dragon Pokemon forcing itself to evolve with wings to fulfill its dream of flying would fit with Yugo as well. I could see him with some Electric type since they tend to be pretty speedy. Alolan Raichu would be cute and a Heliolisk would be neat too. Yugo riding on a Cyclizar in place of his D-Wheel would be so cute too.

Rin would definitely have a Froslass. She'd run a lot of Ice types. Glaceon would fit her really well. An Alolan Ninetales would be pretty cool for her as well.

Yuri would have a Dragalge. While it isn't the most powerful Dragon type out there, I think it fits with his design and deck really well. It's also my favorite Poison type. He would use a lot of Poison types, so Scoliopede would be great for him. I could see Yuri getting an Espeon. Part of it is to tie in with Serena's team, but there is something interesting about Yuri bonding with one of his Pokemon enough to make it evolve. Even in Pokemon, some villains have Pokemon that evolve via friendship levels, so it would be fitting. Giving him a Shiny Espeon just so he could brag about it would also be on brand since being smug is in Yuri's DNA practically.

Serena would have an Incineroar. Design wise it might not fit her deck that well, but I think it works well with her more aggressive personality. Liepard would be a good fit too. Umbreon would be perfect due to its connection to the moon, as well as hinting at her connection to Yuri since both Espeon and Umbreon are often linked together.

Zarc would still have merged together with the four dragons in this crossover, but he'd use that power to revive the Legendary Pokemon Yvetal in order to cause immense destruction in the original world. Ray would use the power of her own Pokemon, in this case the four main partners of the Bracelet Girls, to summon the Legendary Pokemon Xerenas in order to restore life and defeat Yvetal. It's a shame that we don't know what the Legendary Dragon from Unova was before it split apart because that would have been perfect for Zarc. It's not a perfect fit for the Dragon Boys since it split into three Pokemon instead of four. I could see Yuya with Zekrom since it assists those who want to build an ideal world, but I don't think Reshiram and Kyurem really fit with the other Dragon Boys. Maybe the inevitable Black/White remake will expand on that legend and show what the original Unvoa Dragon looks like too.

My last post got me spiraling about Zygarde and how it works in my au so. Time for a ramble.

In sun and moon, the Zygarde Cube is used to collect 95 Zygarde cells, and 5 cores ( Squishy)

In Kalos, there's already a 50% Zygarde. So my plan is for Alola to have the next 50%. To just not bore everyone with convoluted ramble, my plan is this.

Kalos: 2 Zygarde Cores, 48 cells. One of the cores is found by Shauna and gradually bonds with her throughout the story. The other is somewhere else, maybe in the cave that Zygarde 50% is found in XY. Since Shauna doesn't have a way of collecting cells herself, I think it's up to the core itself to collect them and uh. It's hard to do that when you are just a squishy little thing. Hence why Shauna is pretty vital. Honestly, if I end up actually not having Zygarde 50% be in the final arc, it would make sense, since the two cores are still cores, and need each other to full form( well. 50% of it but I digress). That being said, I can see Zygarde 10% still being available if I go this route or not.

Alola: 3 cores, 47 cells. With the Zygarde Cube, the collection of Cells and Cores are easier but! The cores all have a will of their own,and sometimes they butt heads,which makes it difficult for them to really form together. Also depending on how many cells a core has obtained on its own ( which is hard, I must emphasize this, it is hard for a single core to get it's cells, so the chances of that is very unlikely. Plus, it will most likely be trying to survive on its own, so cells are probably not a big priority),it could at least be found in its 10% form. But that's very rare. This would make use of the reassembly unit in the games very important.

Again, the biggest question here is like. Why some cells and cores are in Alola. It could be just that z-cells aren't exactly bound to one place? They are cells, part of the ecosystem, so I guess it would make sense they could be anywhere ( heck even have more than one, just so the ecosystem is still in tact all over). But the game makes it seem strange so. Who knows.

I had this dream last night that there was a huge pokespe update where the xy, sm and swsh protags met up and were all teaming up together to defeat a legendary (I think it was rayquaza for some reason) and they were combining all their region's battle mechanics (z move/mega evo/dynamax band) to take it down

There were like a huge number of chapter updates with this and I'm like what is HAPPENING- but it turns out it was just this random artist who came out of nowhere and was drawing their own fan comic of pokespe and they just happened to perfectly replicate the manga's style

Did you ever find it weird that the Kalos starters didn't get mega evolutions, but the Alolan starters got special z-moves, and the galar starters got g-max.

Yeah I did find that weird, which, as cool as it was to get the Kanto starters and see Mega designs for them (though I question Charizard getting 2), it would've made much more sense if it was the Kalos starters instead.

And that might've been a plan that was going to happen, cause I have heard that there was either supposed to be a Pokemon Z or an XY2, but those got cut due to time and they had to move on to different project (I want to say they were working on SM but not a 100% on that).

And to me XY did feel like it needed that 3rd version cause it did feel unfinished in certain aspects, like, was there going to be more with Malva? How did Lysandre even get/find Xerneas/Yveltal? What was going to be Zygarde's role cause that poor snek is cursed to have the short end of the stick (maybe Zygarde will get to shine if we get a Legends Zygarde). And it was also weird that your rival(s) got gift pokemon but they weren't on the team. Also a lot of your "friends" felt pretty pointless so I wonder if a 3rd version was going to expand upon them.

I also wonder if Snivy and maybe Piplup could've been possible gift pokemon to receive cause they're tied to French royalty, and Torchic too cause Gallic Rooster (would've preferred those over the Kanto starters). I also feel that some of the maps could've offered more exploration, or at least, I hope they would. My favorite part of XY was traveling between the starting gyms cause it was so long and I enjoyed the journey there, and then after a certain point, all the gyms felt crammed close together.

And yeah, it was weird that the Kalos starters didn't get megas, why, none of the Kalosian pokemon got megas. We only got one in ORAS. The Gen that introduces this mechanic and it's not used for any of the new pokemon? It's just weird.

If Pokemon remakes ever get better, maybe one day when XY is remade, we'll see that ideal version of Z, and the megas we should have gotten; though I don't know if megas will ever come back. It's very curious to see what they'll do for remakes with gimmicks they don't come back to.

The list is far from exhaustive or finished, as life is so much more than meets the eye. But this should be a good start to remind myself what I am working towards, a full revamp of the last ~120 years of history with much attention and care put into making it as satisfying to me as possible, despite the very probable scenario where people take the ideas and incorporate only some of such "modules" in their own workflows. Which is fine but not taking the whole package (and only specific modules) is eventually gonna be a major learning experience for me considering the reason I revamp it all beyond control freak stuff is literally to provide less exclusive / less invasive tools that anyone can learn and customize despite being very... idiosyncratic yk.

Still welcoming suggestions and constructive criticism for such big time, I hope those textual infodumps I do every so often don't bother you too much... Cya soon!
