Just had a dream where Grian was retiring from Youtube but it was this whole huge thing like it was for Matpat. And for some reason it all culminated in this irl minecon-like, ie on stage, but with ARG/holographic elements, audience participation show?? And it was like really spooky and had this whole Analog horror vibe to it
And here’s the most funny(in the random humour type of way) part; for some reason Shakira was there??? Just casually like. Just there. And at one point she had to take a call while in the audience so there was just a pause as you heard a quiet “i just wanna be part of your symphony” ringtone followed by “hey if you want to be part of my symphony leave a message”(because in this dream for some reason Shakira made that song idfk)
Oh yeah I also think Hatsune Miku was there somewhere in the audience but she didn’t play much part

Good morning 🙏🏼
I want to thank everyone their support with reblogging my stuff over the years and reblogging some of the context of the situation.
Tumblr and Instagram is filled with the most supportive people I’ve ever had the chance of meeting. The last time something like this happened, I didn’t have much support, not even from people I thought were close to me. It took me a year or two to be okay with being perceived again in fandoms. So I’m very grateful for everything.
I just wanted to post that I appreciate all of the asks and I’ve been reading all of them. I actually get anxious I’m spamming everyone too much so I probably won’t reply to everything. Please don’t feel pressured to support me financially, there’s is a free option on patreon to follow. I’ll post future project plans and occasional updates because I still love comics and I still love DC/Marvel. I do enjoy having people following along for my art/reading journey so I would always be okay with people just following for free. My brain is telling me this post is too long now so I will go 🙏🏼😭

mmmm... Imma try this way of posting Incase I still have that glitch...
Hihihihi guys
I kept forgetting to post these doodles which are... Idfk how old but old enough to retire
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
On the last image... I missed a bunch of words because my silly ol brain can't write at the speed of my average thought
So here's a better digital explanation because I hate writing!1!1!!!;
"If Astro was/is friend's with Cosmo, shouldn't he have some plant or flower on him?"
"Well, he's just good at avoiding."
"Before, Sprout would've tried to sneak attack Astro (and Vee since... BODYLESS <3), but he always SOMEHOW managed to get away, and lose track of him (high stealth coming in handy). And eventually, Astro got so paranoid of Sprout to the point where he refused to sleep, leading to beloved insomnia and constantly being on guard, just to ensure his and Vee's safety. By now, Sprout just gave up and decided to leave him be... For now, or until he's in a vulnerable position."
...idk what I just typed but I typed something
Quick note; Toons who interacted with Cosmo would have a feature related to plants/nature, and Toons who only interacted with Sprout would look a little damaged/on edge
AND.... I came up with a Bloomed Rodger design, but I won't spoil it until his time comes <333 (sorrgy not sorry cresentdreamers /hj)

John Oliver's closing message before Election Day. It's the last couple of minutes of the segment from Sunday.
He reminds us that if Trump loses, that's it for Trump. Consider that for a moment. With a Kamala Harris victory, we can echo the words of President Gerald Ford and proclaim: "Our long national nightmare is over."
So if anybody needs an incentive to get one more voter to choose Kamala before polls close on Tuesday, conjure a realistic vision of Trump's involuntary retirement and your necessary role in making it happen.
NOTE: You can watch the entire 14:27 John Oliver clip here.

i forget there interests I don’t really talk about to other people or keep to a minimum bc I know they’re not the most conventional but I have a huge special interest in crayola art supplies/and collecting and I have almost every recent release of specialty crayon and I get so excited when they release new ones . I got so excited recently bc they just released swirl crayons ( I think they’re a revival from a 90s version) but I’m literally so fucking excited you don’t get it. you don’t even know. Sorry I wanted to ramble. Hark! to my completely unrelated tumblr blog I go!☝🏽

you’re sixteen-years-old, moseying through your local bookstore when you come across it.
you’re not usually into nonfiction, especially not memoirs, but the man on the cover is familiar. laughing over his shoulder with his eyes closed, relaxed in a turquoise button-up and jeans, standing with his back to the camera at a counter cluttered with leafy vegetables and mixing bowls.
from seeds to supper, the title reads, and his name is eric bittle-zimmermann.
you deliberate for a bit, picking it up and reading the blurb, the reviews printed on the back sleeve, the first page. the very first words of the book are hey, y’all! and your friend walks over at that point, and they see him and say—“oh, i used to watch some of his videos.”
so you buy it, because your friend said you should, and later that night you’re already deep into the stories of peach cobbler recipes and learning how to differentiate between living and surviving when they send you the link to the guy’s old youtube channel. it hasn’t been active for a few years, but that doesn’t matter because oh my god are there so many videos. years of videos, almost a decade’s worth, starting all the way back in the early 2010s and you get sucked into them all, laughing at the funny ones and tearing up at the emotional ones, watching as the guy slowly grows up from high school to college and beyond.
you switch between reading the memoir and watching the videos over the next few weeks. you see his video on introducing his boyfriend and you read the chapter on maple-crusted apple pie and how learning to love is a lot like learning to lattice a pie, slow and patient and sometimes messy.
you see his cooking challenge video featuring all of his friends from college and you read the chapter on homemade bagel bites and how family doesn’t have to be a four-course meal you’ve had reservations for all your life. sometimes, family is just frozen bagel bites and sriracha sauce crowded around an uneven table.
you see his two-part wedding vlog posted in 2019, nearly 10 years ago, and you read his chapter on red velvet cake and how the brain can get confused, something to do with all the nerve endings getting tangled up, because when love reaches the same heights fear does, you end up fainting into your then-boyfriend’s arms.
then, you see his final video on the channel, a farewell to his subscribers and a glimpse as to what’s next. it’s short and simple, just his husband and him sitting on a couch together, a toddler between them. and you read the last chapter of the book on chicken tenders and how a seed in the garden never knows it’ll grow into a supper worth loving. it just knows it’ll grow into something, and that the growing takes time.
(a few years later, when you’re twenty and in college, you’re downtown with some friends and come across it. you still aren’t into nonfiction that much, but that one memoir always stuck with you, sitting on your shelf back in your dorm. and this one, with the guy’s back to the camera, tall and steadfast, standing in the middle of an ice rink, an emboldened number one across the back of his jersey. the name is familiar.
melting ice, the title reads, and his name is jack bittle-zimmermann.
you pick it up.)

ISU released an article about Shoma
Tumblr media
Two-time ISU World Champion and three-time Olympic medalist Shoma Uno of Japan has announced his retirement from competitive skating after a long and distinguished career and is ready to open a new chapter in his life.
“I have decided to retire from active competition,” Uno wrote on Instagram. “I am very grateful to have been able to continue skating for 21 years since I was 5 years old, and to have had a wonderful athletic life.”
The Japanese star will talk in more detail about his retirement and future plans in a press conference scheduled for May 14.
The 26-year-old looks back at a career with many highlights and also difficult times, but he always came back, proving his talent and showing resilience. When five-year-old Shoma went to the ice rink in his hometown of Nagoya with his father to have fun, he had no idea that he would become a World Champion, Olympic medalist and super star of the sport. He only knew that the enjoyed skating and kept coming back to the rink, taking lessons. He trained with Machiko Yamada, the coach of Japanese skating icon Midori Ito and also with Mihoko Higuchi for many years and worked his way up in the skating world.
Uno debuted in the ISU Junior Grand Prix in 2011 and was so tiny that he was unable to look over the boards. He won a few medals on the Junior circuit but his breakthrough came in what was his last Junior season in 2014/15 when he qualified for the first time for the ISU Junior Grand Prix Final where he claimed gold. Shoma went on to take the ISU World Junior title in 2015, in what was his fourth and final appearance at the event (climbing from 10th in 2012, 7th in 2013 and 5th in 2014).
Tumblr media
Once at the senior level, Uno quickly became one of the top Skaters in the World. In his World debut in 2016 he placed 7th but then the next year won silver, his first of a total of four World medals. In his first Olympic Winter Games in 2018, Shoma skated off with the silver medal and returned on to the Olympic podium four years later, earning the bronze. In 2022 and 2023 Uno crowned himself ISU World Champion.
However, in between there was a time of struggle. In the 2019/20 season, for the first (and only) time in his career, Uno finished off the podium in the ISU Grand Prix Series. He had left his coaches since childhood and struggled with confidence.
“At first, to be honest, I was thinking about finishing my career,“ he said in an interview at Skate America 2021 about this time.
“I did not know how much longer I would keep going. But imaging the end (I thought) maybe I'll enjoy the rest of this career as an athlete.“
Uno started to work with two-time World Champion Stéphane Lambiel as his coach and choreographer in fall 2019 and soon came back strong. He grew as an athlete and a performer with beautiful programs that highlighted his versatility: “Turandot” (Free Skating 2017/18), “Great Spirit” (Short Program 2020/21), “Bolero” (Free Skating 2021/22) and “Spiegel im Spiegel” (Free Skating 2023/24) to name a few.
At the same time, the Japanese star always pushed the limits technically and made history by becoming the first Skater to perform a quadruple flip in competition in 2016.
“When I train and want to become better, it's not good for me to work on what I can already do. If I'm satisfied with just giving 80 per cent, I'm not good. The right training for me is to push my limits,” Uno said in an interview.
The Japanese Skater has an independent mind and a fun personality. He has a Youtube Channel where you can meet his three toy poodles Emma, Baron and Toro.
“When I am on the ice, I am totally focused on my sport, but when I'm off the ice, I am sure most people know I am just a lazy slacker, but I thought that would be a good way to show to the people how I am off the ice, but still this is Shoma Uno,” he explained.
When asked who inspires him the most, Shoma’s surprising answer was:
"Myself. Of course, I think I am inspired by many people and heard some good words from everyone, too, but in the end when you break it down, I do feel that it is myself that inspires me and sadly, I don't listen to anyone. Sometimes I listen, but mostly I go with my own mind,” he added.
For sure Uno will follow his own ideas in the years to come but you can certainly expect to see him gracing the ice in shows for a while.
