Unfortunately for Wukong, he was still visibly upset by the time they got back to the shop and while Pigsy found the ingredients he picked out acceptable (the alchemy and herbalist knowledge helped a lot in picking the best of the stock) he definitely didn't want to risk Monkey Tantrum: Adult Edition when he saw the face of his second most loyal customer. So naturally he asked about it.

Pigsy: What got your tail in a knot!?

Wukong: Nothing! Just... ran into someone at the store is all...

MK: Baba's old friend Liu'er was there!!

The Demon Bull Family were eating there. After reuniting with Wukong and such, they'd begun to visit the shop for family nights at Wukong's recommendation since it's got great food, a cozy atmosphere, and it gives them a semi-peaceful place to bond as a family again after being separated for so long. So of course the moment they overhear MK talking about Macaque they're all ears.

DBK, in protective big brother mode: That RAT is back!?

PIF, defensive of her brother: Darling, Macaque is hardly a rat.

DBK: After what he did to Wukong? He might as well be. If I had ever had the gall to abandon MY wife in her most vulnerable moment, I would be too ashamed to show my face again!

okay here we go, so i was am (was?) still good friends with an ex of mine. let's get into some back story, we were never officially in a relationship, but he was practically all of my first besides the big p in v type shit. the NIGHT this man was going to check out my v card that mother fucker ghosts me....FOR FIVE FUCKIN' YEARS.

FIVE WHOLE ASS FUCKING YEARS.

i never thought i'd hear from him again so i moved on (fucking obviously). in those 5 years, i meet my incredible partner, we date, and got engaged in 2023 (he locked a baddie down, rip my hoe phase). anyway so this man in that time reaches out again.

consider my flabbers officially gasted, right? after ripping that dude a new one, i allowed him another chance at friendship because i'm a firm believer in second chances. it's been about 2 or so years and we've developed a really good and solid friendship. he lives on the east coast and comes back to the westside during the holidays or summers to visit his family, we've only seen each other once in person since he initally ghosted me.

my partner doesn't have the same views as being friends with your ex-whatevers, but he respects and trusts me enough to set my own boundaries and limits. i geniunely thought they could also one day be friends because they have a lot of overlapping interests (i apparently have a type).

so ex-whatever tells me that he's actually been seeing someone and i am ELATED bc he his relationships haven't been great since moving (karma).

i get a fuckin' text this morning from him and this was the exchange. ex-whatever: hey so things have been getting pretty serious with me and [redacted].

me: that's get bestie! love that for you!

ex-whatever: thanks, that really means a lot. so i hope you can understand the reason i'm doing this.

After the divorce to Thorne Bailey, Octavia had to focus on her teenage son and her career. She has to say, both turned out well!

Donna had gotten a bit of a shock when she realized that Judith Ward was her maternal grandmother. Eventually, she had decided to visit the older woman. And in doing so she ran into her neighbor, Orange.

Now, eight years later they are married and with the help of Octavia raising their son King.

Octavia Moon

That divorce from Thorne all those years ago had been hard. Of course personally, but her main focus had been on Orange - and on her career.

It had gotten obvious that without Octavia, Thorne just didn't have what it took. And it was getting apparent to the public at the same time as rumors about their marriage started to spread and when that image of him and Venessa got out... oh lord.

Of course Octavia was angry, upset and mourned her marriage - but she pretty quickly realized not to waste much energy on her quickly-made-ex-husband.

Instead, she focused on her son. And to find someone who could write music to her lyrics. She found that in Sofia Bjergsen, who had initally been brought on to help create an album for Thorne (but he never recorded it). Together they have made many young artists happy and successful.

And then, Orange met Donna and started a family! Her son has never aspired for fame and Octavia is very happy he let her stay with him and be close to her grandson.

Orange Bailey-Moon

His parents' divorce hit Orange hard. He has never aspired to the famous lifestyle, the parties or meeting all those people - and he couldn't understand why his father didn't want to stay. They had a happy home, hadn't they?

One thing that was good with Dad leaving was that mum finally allowed Orange to stay home when there was yet another red carpet to go to, or a celebrity party.

Orange was in his late teens when it all happened. By then he was old enough to find his own thing and eventually start working. But what to do in Del Sol Valley? Well, Orange learned how to create music. He loved being in the studio with mum, Sofia Bjergsen and their latest artist.

He met Donna by chance. She was visiting her grandmother and was out walking. They started talking and she was just so nice. So normal. Her life in Copperdale seemed like a dream. did people really live like that?

Now, Orange and Donna has a family of their own and Orange hopes to be a better father to King than his own dad ever was.

Donna Coombes

Learning that your biological grandmother is the Judith Ward? A bit of a shock, honestly.

Donna's mum didn't want any contact with her biological mum and Donna can respect that. But Donna? Initially she respected her mother's wish, but then decided that it was ok for her to want a relationship with Judith. Eight years ago, Donna went to visit Judith.

Oh, it was very awkward initially. And it still is, partly. It has gotten easier over the years, especially now that Donna live close but have her own life her in Del Sol Valley.

Falling for the shy but adorable Orange wasn't something she had planned. But it turned out to be the best thing! He loves to create a family home for her and their son, and Donna gets to focus on creating music with her mother-in-law, but also to have her own side-projects. Donna loves programming and she is currently working on a few to help with the music productions.

But now she has to prepare to go over to Judith's for her party! And say goodnight to King, who is staying home with his grandmother and Orange.

King Coombes-Moon

This one is surrounded by love and care. But he has his negative sides and can be a bit mean to other children. Definitely something his parents, and grandmother, will have to keep an eye out for!

As the two left the small cafe together, Rise placed her hands together behind her back as she leaned forward slightly, looking up at him as she cracked a grin. "You know, you're not as bad as I initally thought, Hiro Hiiragi. I look forward to getting to hang out more." She then straightened her posture, "I should really get going, Guren's going to kill me if I don't get back soon. See you later, Hiro!" She waved to him before running off towards where they'd come from.

Soon, she reached Guren's office door and stood outside of it as she allowed herself to catch her breath. She didn't want to worry him any more than she probably already had. Reaching to knock on the door, Rise pushed it open just enough to peek her head in and look around before stepping fully inside. "...Guren? I'm back. I'm sorry it took so long..."

i am so sorry, i didn't realize how vague that sounded until i saw it posted. whoops! anyway, do you have any tips on how to build confidence in initiating play? not just sex - making out, foreplay, etc. we've talked about it a few times because i don't like feeling like i'm always initiating play, and there's been some progress with them being the one to start. we're both really into each other, and have said so multiple times bc i don't want them to think that i'm upset when i initiate 1/2

GREAT to hear from you again, and I'm so glad to be able to approach the situation with so much more information! you've given me a great amount of info here, and it sounds like the two of you are in a really good place of mutual understanding and concern for each other's comfort and just need a liiiiiiittle nudge to get more on the same page.

first and foremost you should talk to your partner and help them try to identify what's causing this hesitation in spite of your positive feedback. if it's a case of being nervous about their intentions being reciprocal, or something of that nature, I'm going to recommend the sexiest thing on earth: clearly stated boundaries and, possibly, periods of time marked specifically as sexytimes.

sit down and make a very clear list of ways both of you would like sexual play to be initated. figure out where there's overlap, talk about things that are new to either of you, identify what may be one person's "yeah!" and another person's "no, thank you." most importantly, identify if there are any obvious conflicts in how each of you communicate and want to be communicated with. if your preference is to get slammed down big style on a mattress and going directly to poundtown and your partner prefers to start things off with a three hour cuddle session, that's going to take some working around!

I doubt your preferences are actually that drastic, but the fact may be that your partner just isn't as naturally inclined to take charge as you. that's fine, but it also means you'll have to get creative finding ways to make sure you don't always have to initiate, since it sounds like that's bit of a chore for you. this is where things like scheduled sex nights (or whatever times work well for you) come in. set aside a night you can be together without interruptions or time constraints, taking off the pressure to perform quickly or on any particular timetable. prior to getting together, agree to the expectation that you're both interested and looking forward to having sex - with the rule that your partner has to initiate, whether that's physically, verbally, or something else. doesn't matter, as long as they're the one to take the plunge and get things moving. having a very clear window in which a particular behavior is both expected and desired can take a lot of pressure off an anxious mind!

you could also make a fun little game that allows you to flag when you're interested while still having your partner sometimes be the one to properly initiate. that could be anything from a play on real gay flagging tactics (putting on a certain accessory, including an actual hankie tucked on your person) to sending them a suggestive emoji or something flirty like "surprise me." the point is to have you give your partner tacit permission that puts the ball in their court, so to speak, to escalate things in a more sexual direction.

as always, the process of navigating and negotiating what sex will look like for you can be dead sexy, and I truly believe the two of you can have a lot of fun figuring this out together :)

1.what drives them? what’s their ultimate goal? I think for all three of them 'stopping the cult of Orcus' is, pretty much the goal in general? But their reason/motivation for doing so is a bit different. Arolas: Ensuring that what happened to him doesn't happen to anyone else Halcyon: Stopping the cult from hurting anyone else, and after that? She mostly just wants to go home. Sigurd: For him - I guess it's more of a case of repentance, in a way. He's done… a lot of harm in the past. Don't think he'll truly be able to relax until he's done "enough" to make up for it. also maybe a smidge of revenge, dw about it 2. what was your original concept for this character? how did playing them change that concept? Arolas: Oh boy - Arolas is kind of like, a progression of an OC I've had for over a decade now. A couple of things have remained pretty consistent with him. Largely: Anxiety, scars, being far less intimidating than he initally seems from appearance. With how he is now, the general idea I was running with was like -- for lack of a better way of wording this a "lone wolf" character but -- played more like an actual wolf in that they're social animals. Don't do so well if they're alone for too long. Halcyon: ngl i kinda just wanted to make a gunslinger (and also some other plot ideas arguably got out of hand) Sigurd: The initial concept for Sigurd was basically just: what if pretty much everything went wrong for the guy? Can't elaborate too much there, unfortunately. Spoilers :3c 6. how have they changed in the last year? how about the last five years? I am going to assume in-universe for this because with the exception of Arolas, I've not had any of these guys around for quite that long. Arolas: Stagnated a little over the past five years but the past year? He's actually letting himself get close/attached to people now instead of near constantly isolating himself from other people. His self-confidence has improved a lot too. He still struggles, sure, but he's stopped hiding his face behind a mask all the time at least. Halcyon: A lot of the change is down to her age, I suppose, since 5 years ago she'd have been about thirteen. She's a lot less timid than she was when she was younger, or she tries to be anyway. Also she has a gun now. The past year has been… rough, but she's getting there. Sigurd: Well he's no longer a warlock, for one. Also a lil bit just his 'fake it til you make it' confidence has becoming something he's far less willing to force. He's had a real drastic change in cirumstances and it's honestly done a lot of favours for him. He's a lot more rilling to just, be himself and be honest about things. Again mostly just stuff that's happened in the last year or so with him. 15. is there something that never fails to make them laugh? Arolas: His boyfriend's stupid goddamn jokes/puns. Halcyon: Don't know if there's anything that's guaranteed to make her laugh, but despite what she says, she does have a bit of a soft spot for really stupid jokes. Sigurd: Lighthearted pranks, mostly. 17. they’re crying—what did it take to make them cry? Arolas: Oh that, depends, really. Often it'll be because he's anxious and/or triggered one way or another. Assuming he's allowing himself to get upset ayways. Halcyon: Not exactly hard to do, she's a little bit of a crybaby :') Usually it'll be because she got overwhelmed, one way or another. Sigurd: Someone or something probably pissed him off. He's got a bit of a tendency to bottle up his emotions but that kinda falls apart when he's sufficiently annoyed. 19. what sparks genuine, unadulterated rage in them? Arolas: Hurting the people he cares about, more or less. Halcyon: I feel like she's probably kinda difficut to genuinely anger like that but-- messing around with undead is an easy way to get there. Sigurd: Anyone using/exploiting other people certainly get him close to rage. Almost guaranteed to flip his shit if someone's hurting kids though, doubly so if they're hurting their own kids.

Caretakers

Drista -

Drista doesn’t fully work there, but she mostly comes in for work experience. However, she spends a lot of her time on Tommy and sometimes Ranboo. She does officially have a time table where she comes in to work, but she never follows it. She is the older sister of Dream, and she’s 16 years old.

Dream XD -

Dream XD is Drista and Dream’s older cousin. He is extremely awkward around the children, and prefers to spend more time in his office. He mostly does the heavy lifting around the nursery, and the paperwork. His favourite kid is probably George.

Kristin -

Kristin is the only caretaker that the kids actually listen to, and as such, she’s in charge of snack times and nap times. She is ‘married’ to Phil, or so he thinks. She is an avian hybrid, and everyone calls her mum. She has since adopted Techno, Tommy, Wilbur and Phil.

Puffy -

Puffy doubles as the behavioural councillor and the nurse. She’s the ‘fun’ caretaker, as she plays with the kids the most. Foolish is her child, but Dream is overly attached to her. Her favourite game to play with the kids is Pirates, where her shoulders are the crows nest.

Children

Wilbur -

Wilbur is extremely dramatic, and very good with telling stories. He wants to be a singer in a band when he grows up, and wants to be famous. He has been banned from the sand pit for multiple reasons that include him eating the sand. L’manberg was a big game he made up elaborately, planning out every detail.

Fundy and Eret -

Fundy and Eret are twins. Their parents are Sally and Herobrine. Sadly, Sally and Herobrine’s relationship broke down, but Herobrine is still allowed to see them both on certain days of the week. He and Sally get along, but as friends. Eret got Hero’s God powers, while Fundy got Sally’s shapeshifting abilities. Eret is more calm and controlled, meanwhile Fundy likes to bite everyone. Fundy is also an ipad kid.

Tubbo -

Tubbo is a moobloom hybrid. He married Ranboo after watching Phil propose to Kristin. He was raised on a farm, and probably eats grass. He has way too much energy a lot of the time, but he usually burns it off by chasing bees or bugs around outside.

Ranboo -

Lugs around a fat diary with him constantly. His mother is the enderdragon. Just the whole dragon. He always collects little trinkets for her because she doesn’t get to see the overworld too often. He is terrified of a lot of things (worms, water, heights, mud) and writes a lot. He always writes letters to Tubbo.

Phil -

Phil is the oldest in the nursery, and probably the most independent. He proposed to Kristin and got very much rejected. He is an avian hybrid, however, he cannot fly currently, which really upsets him. His wings are bigger than he is. Fundy showed him one episode of Bleach and now he is obsessed. Despite being the oldest, he is probably the smallest, due to bird bone structure.

Techno -

The nursery went on a field trip, and brought Techno back. Now, he lives with Kristin. Techno is technically six months old, but he has the mental and physical capability of a 4 year old. He is very interested in reading, and is best friends with Phil. Anywhere Phil goes, Techno is sure to follow. Carl is a toy horse that he is very attached to.

Tommy -

Tommy is the youngest kid in the nursery, and spends a lot of time in the time out corner. He taught most of the class cuss words. He is also an avian hybrid, but his wings are very small. He takes the games way too seriously, and gets put in time out because of it. He’s barely 2 years old. 

Dream -

Dream is a jealous kid. He gets jealous of people very easily, and ends up in time out a lot due to this. He tells the other kids things that his parents have told him, and while he never means to, he ends up making them upset. He took Tommy and Tubbo’s toys once and that was the big thing for the whole class for a long time.

Sapnap and BadBoyHalo -

They are twin demons. Sapnap is a fire demon who looks more human, while Bad is a shadow demon who looks less human. Sapnap was raised more around violence and the idea that humans should be killed, while Bad took his mother’s mentality of all humans being good. Sapnap, as such, is a trouble maker, and a bit of a bully, while BadBoyHalo hates making trouble, and is a bit of a snitch.

George -

George spends all of his time in the nap corner, because it’s very calm and its away from all the chaos of his classmates. He only really comes out to play with Dream and Sapnap or for snack times. Most of the other kids forget he’s there sometimes. He mostly just gets dragged out by Dream to play.

Niki -

Niki is the kid that everyone likes. She always pesters the caretakers to take her into the kitchen and help her bake cookies, and they always give in, as she is a master of using the cute face to get what she wants. She always goes around with the cookies afterwards and shares them with the other kids. Overall, she’s calm and wholesome, and is essentially everyone’s friend - until you annoy her, anyway.

Foolish -

Foolish spends most of his time there building in the sand pit. He only really comes inside to ask for water so he can wet the sand or other little trinkets he could use to add to whatever project he’s doing in the sand currently. However, most of his time is spent outside. 

Sam -

Sam is a very smart kid. He’s pretty quiet, but he likes to make silly little contraptions. He helped Foolish make a working drawbridge with some lollipop sticks and other junk. No one knows how he does it. He ‘built’ Tommy’s hotel, which is just a box (he just scribbled ‘Big Init Hotell’ on the side of it and scribbled red on parts of it). He guards the time out corner for reasons still unknown.

Skeppy -

Skeppy is a pretty big troublemaker as well. He does a lot of stupid little pranks, but he never gets away with any of it due to Bad’s nature of wanting to do good. His favourite victim of his pranks is Techno. Skeppy is almost never seen without Bad, and vice versa.

Karl -

Karl’s parents are The Inbetween and The Other Side (nonbinary parents pog). He tells lots of stories about his ‘Time Travelling Adventures’. No one is really sure if the stories are real or not, but this group of kids are full of weird magic anyway so everyone doesn’t ask. He usually uses the other kids in the stories as well, and everyone wants to know if they’re in the latest story, so they don’t really care.

I am never been so close to anti-stan then I am right now. Dreams Twitter fanbase started the biggest hate train on him because they themselves:

1. Took his inital tweet with the drugs comment as a race issue, like it was obvious that was not the intent or even the focus.

2. Got mad at his completely rational reply to a toxic Stan that used both white and adhd as an isult - the toxic Stan was saying his fanbase will dogpile them, well if you didn’t phrase your concerns in a toxic way in a public place maybe you wouldn’t be concerned about it. Like he empasised he had no intent to relate it to rap - and they see him say rap and fucking ran with it.

3. Got mad at him for disagreeing with someone generalizing his 23 million fans as anti-black, like even his stance on stans is entirely anti-generalizing, he literally denounced any that are in the same comment.

4. Bullied him into unprivating his account because they can’t share screenshots apparently.

5. Got mad a him for tweeting a fucking heart.

Then they turn around and blame the entire thing on the antis, like no. You blew it out of proportion and reacted like shit to everything he did. You are the problem. All the responses to his last tweet are “educate yourself and reflect” and “come back with a better apology” like no. He apologized when he shouldn’t have and you cyber bullied him. They are bloody proud of theirselves for “holding him accountable“ for something they misconstrued.

He needs to delete that stan video because they aren’t worth it.

First thing i want to say is that this post is going to be joint answered as evangeline is white so this is going to be answered by her and me as im half african half american. Normally evanageline would be voicing her opinions and adding ours in if we had any but as its a racism issue she didnt feel comfortable to voice only her opinions. However shes the one writing the post apart from this bit to keep up the consistentcy of the blog page. -Trinity (Basically Trin gave her thoughts using a voice note and I slightly edited it so the sentences were a bit more coherent and added both mine and the other admins opinions as Trin doesn't really use twitter unless it's through my priv account - Evangeline)

I will say that a lot of the fan drama that you see are a smaller group that is known to attack and harass Dream and anyone who disagrees with anything. Eventhough they are a small group they mass reply to everything and make themselves look bigger than they are. Not only that but the only thing they end up doing is overshadowing the original issue at hand which is fans harassing and being racist to eachother. So a lot of what I'm about to say is mainly what this group is doing and isn't at all a reflection of a lot of fans but it is something that needs to be talked about especially since a bunch of this groups members are either white or white passing but get mad on black people's behalf and is basically setting them up.

I don't mean to be rude or dismissive but a lot of people used this as an opportunity to trauma dump. Like I know going into horrible details about what you have to deal with is the only way to get the point across sometimes however harassing Dream and spamming him with stuff like "I was harassed because I'm gay" "I was doxxed because I was Asian" is lowkey weird. Like why are you telling this random guy on the internet that you were doxxed? What is he going to be able to do about it? Also not to defend Dream but how are you going to sit there and break one of his few boundaries whilst trying to educate him.

On top of that the issue was originally how racist some of the fandom are to black people but then other minority groups started talking about how they were also being stereotyped and attacked but all this is doing is talking over other minorities. For example a large group of fans started off talking about how they were being attacked by other stans because of their skin colour but then immediately started to harass and threaten others. Like some were clearly not being serious but dming people and update accounts to retweet and spread awareness isn't the move you think it is. Obviously a lot of them were genuinely trying to spread awareness and were trying to get the respect and treatment they deserve but all of that was being overshadowed by the few that were attacking and harassing creators and fans. Then a lot of it turned into minorites fighting each other over who was more oppressed which just makes the whole thing seem like petty drama.

I will say a lot of them were lovely. I am pretty uneducated on race based issues and how certain things effect people and can be racist so I was asking a lot of questions and most of them were nice. However I also got a lot of snarky ones like "google it" to questions that weren't general like "Is it mocking to call white people crackers and token white boy if you are a white person" or "is ______ considered micro aggressions"

However as usual it went from trying to educate your creators to who is the most oppressed and who can bring up more past drama that has already been addressed multiple times. I'm not being funny but the fact that some well known Dream antis were defending Dream and shitting on stans should really tell you how non productive this is. It went from "Hey Dream this comment is a bit weird can you delete it please" to "Dream you should stop being friends with this person and you should follow this person otherwise your racist" Like that's not helping anyone. The only thing that it's doing is breaking Dreams boundaries, setting Dream up and making stans look bad.

Like people were @ing Sapnap and George telling them to "collect the racist friend" like how is that spreading awareness. The whole thing went from being a good chance to educate to a big fucking joke that just made a lot of people upset and anxious.

Honestly the whole thing was pretty fucking hypocritical like you can't talk about being harassed whilst harassing people into hearing you out. A lot of the issues seemed really gatekeepy to me as well. One that I saw constantly get brought up was that the only people allowed to say dy*e were black lesbians as they created the word. Like a big topic was a misuse of aave but not a single person actual explained what it was or gave examples all I saw was "mcyttwt needs to stop using aave language it's offensive" like you can't claim to be educating people if you don't explain. Not everyone can access websites and caards that get linked because of regions or web rescrictions so they're not helpful either.

HOWEVER I will agree that a lot of their points were completely valid like the whole thing of "Feral Feb" over shadowing BHM and whenever Dream listens to rap people complain and call it bad music are two really good examples. I listened to a few twitter spaces to learn a bit more and things that were said in there was all good info that would be genuinely helpful to know and it really did help edcuate me however not a single tweet said any of it and that's why people don't understand what they're doing is wrong because nobody explains it.

A lot of the issues that people had with Dream were so weird as well like a lot of them were self oppression and turning normal things into racism. A lot of the issues had the same energy as the 404twt fans who were genuinely mad at Dream for having a colour that George couldn't see and they were harassing him and claiming that he was purposely excluding diasbilities.

Usually we would add more but Trinity got a bit upset and stressed so she had to stop answering various asks and the other admins are all white or white passing and don't feel like it's our place to put our own opinions. We will try to answer other asks with similar thoughts later - Evangeline

Mercy

Merlin opened his eyes, hesitantly.

Morgana's metal - clad feet were bound in his magic. She twisted and writhed and growled .

He walked towards her, somewhat apprehensive.

Eyeing her in contemplation .

" You could have stopped my brother," she snarled. " You were complacent when you should have taken action. Should have strove with him , stayed his sword . So many majicks ' lives would not have been lost. "

The sky darkens overhead, indigo blue turning to eggplant purple .

The sun's gold is subsumed into the growing evening. He wonders where his former apprentice...his former friend... got her unfamiliar armor from.

" I made decisions for the greater good ," he calmly states . He could not save everyone,since that would have meant opposing Arthur , and the devolving of his kingdom's precarious society into utter chaos . Desolation, devastation, and the death of many more than just a minority of unfortunately careless/ irresponsible / defiant spellcasters. Gunmar would have won ,if he wasn't winning as they spoke. Merlin hoped not . The Time Map had guided him up to this point,but now he'd have to rely on his own wisdom and judgement.

Tears brimmed in Morgana's eyes ; she must be upset about her brother's apparent death.

( He would allow himself to grieve later.And hopefully ,Galahad would survive this battle.)

" Don't seal me away," she pleads , surrendering at last.

Her eyes are disaffected, resigned, sorrowful, and afraid .

He gazes into the laurel - green depths,and sees a ghost of the woman that came to him to master magic.

"For once in your life, show some sympathy . Prove you are not heartless."

Her voice cracks twice ; twice cracking the tough shell around his heart .

His staff flies into his hand , a comforting weight.

' Cordez init, actum est,' he whispers.

' Revertaturinn domu saum.'

The light in her eyes is snuffed out like a candle's flame . Her body falls into a blanket of lime - green magic ,and hangs limply , suspended not far off the ground .

She still appears graceful and beautiful.

The magic dissipates .He catches her body in his muscular arms ,and gently lays it down .

He knew that she did not choose evil because it was evil ; she only mistook it for happiness,for the good she sought. If only he could have helped her before she went wrong.

" Oh,Morgana..." he said sadly. He could think of nothing else to say .

He removed her helmet, and shut her eyes. The world had grown too quiet; was the battle over ? Who had won ?

Deya ran towards him , crowing energetically, followed by a crowd of humble gravel miners turned legendary warriors.

He kneeled close to Morgana's soul's former vessel, his mind drawing a black curtain over his surroundings .

Tears welled up ,and flowed freely .

Victory was always bittersweet.

It’s true there’s people in far worse situations than myself, I feel bad for moaning when there’s people on the front line risking their lives but I was supposed to start my exams yday and started getting all “what if” and that made me bare moody and upset about the whole situation. So I haven’t done a recap in a while

TL;DR previously on this campaign we broke into a vampire’s house, murdered him, looted it, the gang dug up a body and ‘let’ her brother take her somewhere that wasn’t a mass grave, and Vera lied like no other to a vampire’s major domo.

Last episode left off with Vlad’s father tearfully greeting Fyodora, asking the group why they’d came and how they met and whatnot. And that’s when Havilah failed his first control shape check of the full moon, turning into a wolf right in that great hall. He instantly grabbed his wolf and went outside to sulk, despite Vlad’s father Valery being like ‘no that’s just something that happens’. Werewolf dad is pretty chill with puppy problems.

Vlad and Valery go out hunting to get meat for the table and everyone except Havilah have dinner in the great hall. Introductions are made around the table, Vera giving a very diplomatic telling of how the party met up with Vlad. Jake does his normal Jake stuff after popping out of the necklace and Magnolia starts throwing rolls at him. Wolff Wolf skitters behind him and snaps up the rolls every time they hit the floor. Valery tries to figure out how Nitahn got his affliction, mostly trying to see if it was Vlad doing it. Vera doesn’t confirm or deny this, stating that it was necessary and bringing up how Juno would’ve turned him int he great hall anyway and they got to one up her. The entire party confirms that Nitahn is a big ol puppydog.

Valery offers the party sanctuary for however long they need, and Oz def makes a note that Vera mentions nothing about taking it despite being into her sixth months of being preggers. After dinner Vera brought Nitahn some Venison and talked to him for a bit, squooshing his face and wiggling his nose because he’s a cute wolf and also because ‘I can’t mess with you like this when you’re a human’ before heading back inside.

Jake also bothers Nitahn, using his newly gotten suggestion spell to have Nitahn fetch. This annoys Nitahn severly, and pisses off Oz pretty bad because Oz doesn’t like the entire Enchantment school. Oz scolds Jake pretty badly for taking away their friend’s free will before being like ‘yeah it’s probably best we don’t talk for a while’. Oz then goes to Nitahn and tattles on Vera for not asking to stay despite her state and puppy Nitahn is like ‘thank you for bringing this to my attention, boof.’. After that, Oz goes to Magnolia and again tattles on Vera.

Meanwhile Vera is having a time up in her room, finishing letters and getting herself real upset. This follows down to breakfast, where she’s very quiet. The mail carrier shows up to the distrust of everyone but Vera, and letters are passed out. Nitahn got a few from his family and three from Jasna, Vera got three from her husband and two from Nik, Oz got one from his mom and one from Vera’s husband. Vera sends off four letters: one to her husband, one to Nik, one to Jasna, and one that it takes her a bit to hand off. She instructs the carrier that it isn’t to be delivered to the Medvedev house, that it is to be left in care of either Mishti Isha or Vera Medvedeva. It’s a letter to her brother. After that Vera excuses herself from breakfast and goes up to her room, where she stays. Her letters get her caught up on city goss and Nik’s scrounged up every bit of werewolf/vampire politic information that he can.

Jake goes down to town and tries to get a loan from the bank, going with all of his usual chaos. He tries to get a loan to open a pancake shop, turning into a short copy of Vlad when the banker says he’d need a voucher. He also tries to use suggestion, leading the banker to realize that he’s tried to alter his mind but still is super confused about what’s going on. He tells Jake to come back tomorrow and Jake happily leaves.

Vera doesn’t show to dinner, citing not feeling well. Valery visits her in her room where she is hiding behind Bear and offers to let her stay in the keep until after she has the baby. Vera’s mostly dead to the world and is like ‘yeah, whatever they decide on I’ll do’. Which is good because Vera’s normal reponse would be basically ‘aw heck no’ to the idea of staying in one spot.

Valery repeats this offer to the group and Oz tattles on Vera to Valery, and Valery’s like ‘yeah no she’s very pregnant’. Magnolia spends another meal chucking rolls at Jake and Wolf-Wolf gets more snackums.

Jake heads back to the bank the next day to fuck with him more, and Vera tracks down Oz to ask him about something he’d mentioned during the great hall, about how dying wasn’t so bad. Mostly she just wants to tell him that should he need help in Spee, Selina isn’t that far away. Oz advises her to forget he said that, as he’s not legally allowed to discuss it. Vera is like ‘cool. Just remember if you need help I’m a lwayer.’ and Oz also realizes that Vera is looking bad. He inquires if she’s okay and Vera’s like ‘yeah, no, not really’ and eventually admits that now that they have downtime she’s got time to think on stuff. A year ago she was in the capital dressed in nice things going to parties, and now she’s out here up to her elbows in blood of terrible people. And she really, really prefers the second to the first. Oz tries to comfort her by saying that it is the blood of awful people, but Vera doesn’t seem to comforted. 

She also finds Magnolia and brings up the idea of silvered claws for bear. Magnolia agrees to the idea, and also brings up that Vera looks pretty wrecked. She offers to spend time with Vera, and Vera’s like ‘yeah I’ve been crying a lot and I don’t like people to see me cry’ and Mags is like ‘well, I can look away’ and Vera admits that’s what her husband does. 

They have a bit of downtime, and one day Fyodora comes up to Nitahn and is like ‘so there’s someone talking to my father and i am not cool with them, come with me?’ and they go to eavesdrop on official business. Nitahn, however, recognizes the voice: Anton Bellek. He instantly bursts into the room and is like YOU.

Meanwhile, Vlad knocks on Vera’s door and is like ‘So there’s someone here to meet my father on offical business and I don’t think he’s good. We should get the group together?” And vera’s like “Fine, help me put on my armor” “I think his name was Anton Bellek?” “-sounds of Vera scrambling across the room, throwing her door open- Okay let’s fucking go.’

They go down and vera’s like ‘so will you be okay heading in there?’ to Vlad and he’s like ‘Yeah, no, it’ll be fine.’ “He (Valery) wont’ hit you?” And that’s when Vlad learns something about Vera he probably didn’t want to get confirmation on and is like “Yeah, no. That’s not the kind of person he is.” And they initally hold back, but they hear Nitahn inside and Vera’s like ‘oh goddamnit’ before breaking in themselves.

Anton greets everyone pleasantly. Vera holds onto her temper for a bit and apologises to Valery for bursting in before turning to Anton. Anton’s looking for allies! Anton is also still super evil, though not enough to knock Vera unconcious. Magnolia’s hiding behind Vlad, making sniping comments whenever she can.

Anton gives a grand speech and he’s good at it, and Jake’s like ‘yeah no he sounds legit’ and the whole fucking time Vera is grinding her teeth and quickly losing any composure she has. She starts calling him out on about every point, adding in there the whole ‘hey, I’m a paladin, I can literally see you’re evil’ and he tries being like ‘I kill people to eat, I have to drink the blood of living creatures’ and Gremlin Oz is like ‘what about getting concent first’ and Vera’s like ‘Can’t you eat animal blood? I’m not evil because I eat meat’.

She goes on her own rant about understanding the desire of being up to your elbows in blood and she admits: She wants a war too. She all but begs him to fight against whatever nature he’s got from being a vampire and offers out her holy symbol as kind of a peace offing. Anton doesn’t take it and curls his lip up at it.

Anton departs, making some dark comments about Vlad and Valery as he goes. The enitre party sees shadows detach from the walls and go to him, and Oz passes a knowledge arcana to know there’s a preestige class that lets you summon shadows. Vera’s like ‘yeah, that tracts’.

Vlad is goaded by Magnolia to talking with his dad for the first time since they first arrived and he’s like ‘listen laws are there for a reason, but Anton’s right. We have to change. We can’t be a neutral party or we’re going to be targeted by everyone. We can’t stick to the old ways when there’s almost no one left here’ and Valery seems to be ackwnolaging this.

Vera makes a parting note to everyone to watch the shadows, and goes to Vlad’s room and is like ‘hey can I stay here tonight and make sure you don’t get eaten by shadows’ and he agrees. She spends her night laying on bear and quietly praying, because vera doesn’t afraid of anything but herself, and she just admitted to everyone that she wants to start a war and she really likes being covered in blood.

Things are chill for a while, until one day at dinner Oz hears a crash int he kitchen. Before we can prepare, but with enough time to make sure there’s no sneak attacks, nine werewolves storm the room. Three enter from the kitchen side, six from the main entrance. One wolf goes for Jake, two go for Valery. On the other side, one goes for Vlad and two go for Vera, while all three archers take shots at Valery. They hit him in the shoulders, and one in the face directly in his eye. He reacts by hulking out into a werewolf. Y’know. Like you do. Vlad doesn’t turn into a werewolf, choosing to instead swing his axe at one of the werewolves previously attacking Vera.

Magnolia and Oz take a quick second to talk about Vera, who has neither armor nor arms on her because she hasn’t been wearing them. Oz assures Magnolia he can protect Vera, and Magnolia encourages Vera to climb up on the table. Vera’s like ‘yeah, that was my plan’ as she climbs up on it and summons Bear in her place. Bear responds to this by going for the wolf that Vlad attack, full round attacking and killing it. Magnolia climbs on the table and reaches out to tap Valery with a Bear’s Endurance. Oz blocks Vera in from the other side and casts Slow on the remaining five werewolves on our side because Oz is an unholy terror. Jake hits himself with mage armor like a good boy. The werewolves with their crossbows drop them and draw short swords before slowly starting to move towards the group. 

Valery slashes at a nearby wolf and Vlad turns into a werewolf for the extra beef. Vera slaps bear with Divine Sacrifice and turns him loose on the werewolves, where Bear starts to just slap them the fuck around. Werewolves have DR. Bear doesn’t care. Bear overwhelms it. Magnolia casts Foundations of Stone on everyone on the ground. Oz casts stoneskin on himself.

A few other highlights: Bear did what I’d been hoping he’d do forever, crit on a Divine Sacrifice blow. 46 damage in one hit, he turned one wolf to mush. On our side of the room he tore through everything. Oz got hit once and shrugged it off thanks to stoneskin. He also cast haste on the party, and flesh to stone on one of the werewolves. Valery dragged a werewolf that pulled a silver dagger on him into a melee with Nitahn climbing in. Vlad offered Vera his axe to protect herself and Vera very unhappily had to turn it down because she’d probably fucking use it. Mags cast Balor Nimbus on herself and went to join the scrap of werewolves.

A vampire droped from the ceiling and hit Jake with a sneak attack for 46 damage, killing him. As Jake died, he felt himself pulled somewhere else. Death appeared before him, and as Jake watched, the skeletal form shifted until Death looked like him. The not Jake tipped his head and was like ‘fascinating’.

Meanwhile, as everyone starts to freak the fuck out about Jake, he pulls off of the sword, looks down at himself, and was like ‘Fascinating.’

Stick around Corvo fans-How Daud was thrown away and enlightened as a character in Dishonored series.

This is gonna be long so buckle up kiddos. There's a couple things that immediately come to mind for fans of the Dishonored universe and from what I've come across is that you either love Daud or you hate him. And I don't think that's directly a flaw with the character himself but how he was presented. There are a couple things I want to list that I'll further elaborate on that pertain to how Daud was thrown away as a character (ruined) and elaborated on. -dauds inital purpose -mercy or le death -yay classic redemption arc - except lol maybe not what did you do -true character nature -the marked and the outsider's approval -the purpose of doto -the end of daud Now to give you full disclosure I have not yet run through all of Dishonored 2 or doto. I am by no means a completionist, I don't feel pressured to explore every nook and cranny just for some obscure letter written by one of Delilah's witches that tells you something about someone somewhere about hlahblahblhab. Now because I'm a responsible impulse efficient and self controlled person roaming social media I spoiled the end of doto for myself and I am deeply saddened because Daud is my favorite character. I don't know if it's a kink of mine to like dangerous emotionally unavailable and unattainable men (cuz he's ded. Lel nah he's fictional) but Daud was genuinely more interesting to me than Corvo. This is not to say that the first Dishonored is bad, but the story was lacking for me - I'm very much a story seeker- and when the game first came out I played the intro and immediately set down the game thinking, "ehng...". When I decided to give Dishonored another try (*cough this summer cough six years later cough*) I kept going not because of my interest in Corvo or the outsider, or getting Emily back safely (don't get me wrong I like kids but Corvo is either best or worst parent and I can't decide which); I kept going because I wanted to know more about the "villain". He's an assassin, a merc for hire which to me meant his character is either going to be really deep or inexplicably shallow. I was upset at first, he wasn't in the game as much as I thought he would be but Dishonored has a tendency to shove information by into your face /after the fact/. I spared the villain hoping I would see him again. I didn't. ....until I found out there were dlc's. Staying with my rant? Digital cookie for you. Dishonored's story telling was on par and in many cases far better than the knife of dunwall, but the first dlc was very much a setup for the brigmore witches dlc, which in turn was what I think the best story telling in the whole Dishonored series.. Gonna go into my points listed above now because either don't want you to read through this thinking it was total anxiety induced stress writing (...which it definitely isn't....by the way....) There's a general healthy mindset that people inherently dislike villains, evil doers and all round moral miscreants, Daud being an assassin for hire and not much more in Dishonored as his initial purpose was already be placed in a rough position that a portion of players might find amiable but mostly for his badassery and not much in the character development isle. The way I see it is that you first are greeted with Daud's be character development in one of two ways(or a blend): you want Corvo to be moral and spare Daud, or upon hearing that Daud reports to you there's something by inside of him suffering you spare him to let him suffer more. Daud's intial purpose was to be a 'bad guy' and in either scenario he is still seen as being the bad guy or getting a cliche "this is worse than death and you deserve to suffer" sort of ending. When you come to knife of dunwall Daud is...tired. there's no simpler way for me to describe it. He's lived above and away from any higher power than himself (cuz we all know the outsider doesn't seem to give a hair on his left ball about Daud but he'd dress in drag and do the hula for Corvo...#dauddeservesbetterfriends) And we know or at least can vetire the thought that Daud has adjusted to his life as a killer, but he doesn't seem active enjoyment from it. I'm not exonerating Daud's tendency for murder, but think of it this way, he is a serial killer by death count but he's not a Ted Bundy or Hannibal Lecter. Killing doesn't give him satisfacyion, it is just a job and people are hard to become attached to when you have to look at them often as return receipts and cashiers. That's not to say that Daud doesn't feel love. I genuinely think he loved Billie as a sort of best friend and daughter. The death of empress kaldwin has hit daud hard too. He knew it was a bad idea but it was habit, it was just a contract, and jessamine meant nothing of compromise to Daud personally. When Daud is betrayed by Billie and given a death date from the outsider Daud has already submitted in some form to his own fleeting mortality and is pained after decades of his reputation getting ahead of himself to the point where he wouldn't say 'no' to a contract. I feel that Daud felt as though he was becoming more of a Lecter esque serial killer to the public, that who he was, his identity had been lost underneath the bodies he's left in his wake...and he regrets all of it, realizing its futility, pointlessness. People are just contracts to him, but he never actively sought to I'll with the purpose of hurting the very fiber of others' existence... When you spare Daud as Corvo his single line proclaiming how extraordinary your willingness to give him clemency is isn't a line to me that was ultimately thrown to the wind, it was something that genuinely sparked upset and fascination in Daud. Corvo did something Daud hadn't done since he had moved from serkonos, and without the incentive of pay - Corvo decided to spare a life. That ruptures something deeply in Daud, who had already endured his midlife crisis and brings me to the third bullet point "classic redemption arc" although it does matter what you do....that changes Daud's character to me...idk. All in all the only right way I saw to play brigmore witches was to go non-lethal stealth...and trick Delilah into her own spell. Daud is a master assassin. It made no sense for him to merely go jumping around murdering everyone who saw him (this is how I initially played Corvo because dayum I was bad at stealth games also pc controls, but then again Corvo isn't a master assassin when you first meet him...Daud is). After a struggle with Delilah, you hold onto the platform and read her citations and she flies off of you, into the painting, I wanted there to be a classic breathless hero who mutters calmly "gotta quit smoking" ( drum crash) and goes about his business. But! Something I feel a lot of fans of Dishonored overlook is that Daud had no need to further pursue Delilah. He could easily have faded into obscurity around the second mission when he realized that Delilah was after Emily and not him, but he ventures forward, accepting his fate - tired and downtrodden about his choices and the inevitable futility of his fate- in the efforts to save the life and hope that still exists in young Emily, the daughter of the empress he murdered right before her eyes. It's a move of an apology, a silent, self accepting apology with no further requirements for acknowledgement. Which brings me to the true nature of daud in addition to the nature and approval of the outsider to his marked ones. Daud in canon does not kill but traps Delilah. Daud is a mater assassin. He's quick he's quiet he is an efficient man with little room in his life or care for killing as a sport....he is to some extent evil, but he is not incapable of doing good to simply do good. The outsider is decribed furtively as a true neutral character who appeals to the benevolent options but is known to commit 'evil' by not intervening. He seems to be a strong advocate of free will but does extend the occasional helpful hint to his marked ones. Daud is told by the outsider that how he handles Delilah will be viewed with great curiosity which is another added caveat to Daud's evolution as a character and devolution as an identity. The outsider became bored with Daud, stopped willingly checking on him, but when Daud does the 'unusual' sparing Delilah but torturing her for (what was supposed to be eternal) ...he gains the outsider's favor, even if for juat a moment. He fades into obscurity for both Corvo and the outsider, even to his own men, abandoning the identity of 'daud' and presumably not going on a killing spree. The purpose of doto.....I'm not 100% sure of a 'purpose', but doto makes or breaks Daud for most people. For me it did both. But it didn't break Daud's character development for me because he saw the outsider specifically as an excuse for all the murder and the theiving and the murder and did I mention Daud murdered? He had to kill the outsider to prevent another 'daud'. The outsider was the omniscient condoner. 'daud' would not have ever easily existed to such fame or success without the aid and the passive/spontaneous condoning of the outsider and his abilities. Few be if any would have managed to be a 'daud' identity without being able to be so far above the confines of human abolity to cheat mortal instruments of death.... Corvo and his attempt to save Emily would have been a fly's breath shy of impossible without the outsider to tinker with the impossibilities. Daud's action to kill the outsider was selfish, I can see and agree with that, but he only wanted to destroy the exoneration of evil, not to simply forgive his transgressions by eradicating and blaming the one who allowed and corroborated with him to be such. How doto has presented Daud in doto and how many people have received and reacted to Daud's presented purpose in doto did misrepresent and destroy in some regards the development they took with Daud's character, but let me reiterate that his character development itself was not thrown out the window, it was how his character was presented in a plot and the narrative around doto. ...let me again remind you I said I haven't exactly finished doto....because I spoiled it for myself and I don't want Daud to die...again....finally? Maybe not the right words - oh look I've made myself sad, fancy that - but the point. Of this ramble which now I don't know how to end and I don't think I've ever spent so long on Tumblr in one sitting .... Daud is not a poorly constructed character. Doto poorly presented him and he deserved better. Doto also made Daud's character solidfied. He's not a gentle being. He's stern, violent, reserved and determined, but he's also deeply emotional and self loathing. He aspires to destroy the outsider because of what the outsider allowed in to do, he did not pursue or seek to blame the outsider into naively forgiving himself for the crimes he committed. It was a matter of settling his conscience. Probably with the abuse of his powers, a lot of stress, whiskey, cigars, and breaking a handful of bones repeatedly over his career and his guilt Daud was well aware he was on his deathbed long before Billie found him and he had been haunted by his blindness and decades of him /having forgiven and forgotten/ his crimes that it drove him to death. Daud is not a poorly constructed character. I would argue he was a character that the Dishonored series put the most time and effort into.

Written for the 7 Days of Robron: Day 7 – Favourite AU

AU in which Robron are awkward, pining teenagers (Aaron is the same age as Robert in this.)

Robert hears Aaron’s boots crunching the fallen leaves and branches before he sees him. But he knows it must be Aaron because no one else knows about this place.

When Aaron wrenches open the door of the abandoned wooden cabin, Robert knows he must look a mess, sat inside on one of the large cushions cross-legged, his eyes red and bloodshot from crying. He doesn’t look up, waits until Aaron has closed the door on the setting autumn sunshine streaming through the trees, and sat down on another one of the cushions opposite, mirroring Robert’s sitting position.

They had found this cabin when they’d been hiking through the woods a few weeks before, abandoned and unused. They had since moved a load of cushions and blankets and a stash of dry food here, to use as a hang-out place for the two of them.

Right now it felt more of a hide-out than a hang-out spot.

“You alright? Well no, you’re obviously not alright. That was a stupid thing to say.”  Aaron is rambling.

Most people think that Aaron isn’t a very verbose person, communicating mostly in typical teenage grunts and grumbles, and sometimes they’re right. But Robert also knows his best friend better than anyone, knows that he’s smart, quick-witted, and funny. Those were the qualities that drew them together in the first place.

“’I’m fine. Just needed some time to myself.”

Aaron’s quiet for a long moment, biting on his lip and playing with the gold chain he wears around his neck, obviously unsure what to say next.

“Look, if this is about Donna… I’m sure if you just talked to her, you guys could sort things out.”

“Why would I want to?” Robert responds, “I broke up with her, why would I want to sort things out?”

“So… that’s not why you’re upset?” Aaron asks, confused.

“No.”

Robert had every intention of saying nothing more, he still isn’t used to opening up to someone like this, hasn’t had long emotional talks with anyone since his mum died. But then he looks up and catches Aaron’s gaze, those bright blue eyes fixed on his own and full of the kindness and compassion that he rarely shows the rest of the world.

“It’s my dad. He kicked off when I got home.” Robert confesses.

“What about?”

“Me being a useless disappointment, you know… the usual.” Robert says, unable to hide the hard bitterness in his voice.

“He heard about me and Donna breaking up and thought I was being daft. Then somehow we started arguing about the farm, then fucking Andy had to stick his nose in didn’t he, the prat.” It’s all spilling out of him now, all the hurt and frustration.

“Yeah well… dads are fucking dickheads ‘int they.” Aaron mutters angrily. Then his voice softens again. “Why did you break up with her?”

It’s the question that Robert really did not want Aaron to ask, not now, because his emotions are so raw and close to the edge, that he’s scared he’ll crack and tell him the truth and ruin everything.

“I just… didn’t have feelings for her.”

“Since when do feelings come into it for you?” Aaron snorts. “So there wasn’t… you know…?”

“What?”

“Someone else.” Aaron huffs out, and Robert knows he can’t really be offended that Aaron had made that assumption. He could admit that he hadn’t always been the best boyfriend to Donna.

“No, not really.” Robert replies, trying to brush it off casually, but of course Aaron knows him better than that.

“Not really?” Aaron mimics, eyebrow raised in amused suspicion.

“I didn’t cheat on her. Not this time, I swear!” Robert responds, perhaps a little too vehemently, causing Aaron to throw his hands up in surrender.

“Alright! I was just asking. S’not me you have to convince.”

There’s an awkward silence, then of course Robert has to go and open his big gob.

“There might have been… someone. But nothing has happened, it just… got me thinking about what I really want, and who I want, you know?”

Aaron nods, although he still looks a little bit puzzled.

“So, who is she?” Aaron asks.

“Who?”

“The girl, idiot, the one who got you thinking.”

“None of your fucking business is it!” Robert snaps

Aaron’s face clouds over, anger obvious on his face, as he moves to get up off the floor.

“Fine, be like that. I don’t have to be here you know, next time I won’t bloody bother!”

“No Aaron, I’m sorry.” Robert backtracks immediately, grabbing Aaron’s sleeve to stop him leaving. “I’m sorry, I just wasn’t thinking.”

Robert can feel the sting of fresh tears at the back of his eyes and blinks rapidly. Aaron seems to take pity on him, and sits back down, still looking a bit wary.

“It’s serious init? Whoever it is.” Aaron says, reading between the lines.

“It is for me, but I don’t think it is for them.”

“Don’t be daft” Aaron tells him, voice softer. “Why don’t you just tell ‘em? I mean…who wouldn’t want to be with ya?”

Robert would later look back on this moment and wonder what possessed him to do it. It might have been the care in Aaron’s voice or the golden sunlight streaming through the mossy window, making his eyes look crystal clear. It might even have been the result of keeping his feelings locked away and suppressed for so long that he physically couldn’t contain them anymore.

Either way, he leaned forward and pressed his lips gently and tentatively against Aaron’s.

When Robert pulled back, Aaron just stared, stunned. Then the panic set in. Robert can feel his heart hammering in his chest, his throat closing up in terror and thoughts running wild. You fucking idiot. Why the hell did you do that? You’ve messed everything up now and Aaron’s going to hate you and he’ll probably tell everyone and then Dad will find out oh go-

While Robert is busy freaking out internally, Aaron’s face slides from shock into something else entirely. Before either of them can say anything Aaron leans in, hands on Robert’s cheeks, and plants a firmer kiss on Robert’s lips in return.

When they both break apart, eyes wide and wild, it’s Aaron who breaks the silence.

“You have no idea how long I’ve wanted you to do that.” Aaron murmurs breathlessly.

This isn’t the end, they’ll both have a long road of struggling to come to terms with themselves and this new thing between them.

But for now they’re content to sit on the floor of the cabin, trading soft kisses and finally allowing themselves to just feel.

Modi, Xi Likely to Steer Clear of Sticky Bilateral Issues During Informal Mamallapuram Meet

New Delhi: The second informal summit between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping in the seaside temple town of Mamallapuram in Tamil Nadu is expected to focus on taking forward bilateral ties notwithstanding differences on several sticky issues.

Though there is no official announcement either from Indian or Chinese side about Xi’s visit, it is learnt that the Chinese president will arrive in Chennai on Friday afternoon and will leave the next day. The focus of the talks will be to ensure mutual development and expanding overall ties, diplomatic sources said.

Officials involved in preparations for the informal summit said Xi will stay for around 24 hours in India. The main informal summit is likely to take place on Saturday morning.

As was the format in the first informal summit in Chinese city of Wuhan, Modi and Xi will have occasions to spend time one-on-one without being accompanied by officials. In Mamallapuram, Modi is likely take Xi to witness heritage temples and monuments built by the Pallava dynasty in 7th and 8th centuries.

The two leaders are likely to visit the seafront Shore temple on the evening of October 11 and attend a cultural programme. In the evening, Modi is expected to host a private dinner for Xi.

The informal summit is taking place at a time when New Delhi has been upset over Beijing’s position on India’s decision to withdraw special status to Jammu and Kashmir and bifurcate the state into Union Territories.

India was particularly disappointed over Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi raising the Kashmir issue at the UN General Assembly and criticising New Delhi’s move.

Wang said the “dispute” should be peacefully and properly addressed in accordance with the UN Charter, UN Security Council resolutions and bilateral agreement, adding no action should be taken that would unilaterally change the region’s “status quo”.

Taking strong note of Wang’s comments, India said Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh are its integral part and the recent developments were “entirely a matter internal” to the country.

Days after Wang’s comments, China’s ambassador to Pakistan Yao Jing reportedly said that China was working for Kashmiris to help them get their fundamental rights and justice, comments which have not gone down well with New Delhi. It is learnt India verbally conveyed to Beijing its displeasure over Yao’s remarks.

China also apparently took strong exception to Indian military exercise Him-Vijay in Arunachal Pradesh. The Indian Army’s newly raised 17 Corps is carrying out the mega exercise at a height of around 15,000 ft in the border.

Indian military sources maintained that the exercise has nothing to do with Xi’s visit to India. China claims Arunachal Pradesh as part of southern Tibet while India maintains that it is an “integral and inalienable part” of the country.

Another issue which ruffled feathers in New Delhi was China’s refusal to allow Indian embassy in Beijing to hold an event to mark Mahatma Gandhi’s 150th birth anniversary on October 2 in a public park in the Chinese capital.

Reacting to it, China said the Indian embassy in Beijing was advised to shift the venue due to celebrations in Beijing on the occasion of 70th anniversary of the founding of China.

In their first informal summit in April 2018, Modi and Xi had decided to issue “strategic guidance” to their militaries to strengthen communication and build trust and understanding between the border guarding forces of the two countries.

The summit had taken place months after Indian and Chinese troops were locked in a 73-day-long standoff in Doklam.
