as someone who rarely listens to music, i am unceasingly in wonderment at the emotional connection many humans have to music as a medium. genres & styles & artists and all that jazz --you guys care a lot about this stuff. i sit marveling at the sheer commonplaceness of people feeling an intimate connection to individual songs & albums & musicians. to the point musical preferences are often considered a meaningful part of one's identity as an individual....thats crazy. so much passion...so much fierceness of feeling ...people say "you have to listen to this song" and i listen for 30 seconds and say "neat!" bc it is, it's neat! the chorus is catchy! i might tuck it away to hum to myself later. but for now im putting my earplugs back in returning to the glorious silence that my essence depends on the same way my lungs depend on an oxygen-rich atmosphere. u beset me with fascination

he's the type to go out with the boys or whatever and you stay in because you're tired/early morning/you already exfoliated and if he thinks you're primping up just to rot in a worn leather booth to drink piss-like beer and have him acting like a foam-flecked rabid territorial mongrel over a random giving you a 2-second glance across the joint he's insane

and then comes home late, not overly so, just late enough to where even if you tried to stay up and wait for him you couldn't. you're passed tf out on the couch with your murder docuseries on the tv, or curled up in bed with your book covering half your face and he's

looming.

standing by the doorway, his presence darker than the room itself. of course your eyes snap open you feel watched. unseen eyes weighing heavy, leaden, on your chest. as does your rapid beating heart.

What is up with indie games having some of the coolest mechanics ever and then having some of the most facked up mind boggling lore ever

i haint watched the dang chibisode and idk if ill actually watch it with sound on sdfjk but i have a hurt feeling about them casually imbuing perry with speech for a one off gag because the idea that he needs to talk to communicate is fake. we had 4 seasons of wacky magic hijinks cartoon where perry never needed verbal speech to communicate. they couldve done this gag at any point in the show but they didn't, and the fact that they didn't felt significant. perry's muteness is such a core part of his character, to me, to the way i conceive of him/write him. i don't wanna overreact to a goofy little side cartoon (even tho i'm doing it anyway) but it's still the characters, and it still upsets me! ok that's it i've said my piece
