btw if there are no trans-friendly queer events in your area you can just organize some with your friends if you have the gumption, just went to one that was clearly only held together by thumb tacks and dedication and it was still awesome and the place was packed, like obviously i'm not telling you to launch into it with zero thought if you have no previous experience with event organizing (the people who attend will be putting a lot of trust in you) and if you can't do it safely then don't do it, i'm just saying there's a huge need for these spaces in the world and if you know how to get the word out the people will come, even if it's just a basement with some tables for trans ppl to sell their arts and crafts or a couple of blankets in a park where you read each other poetry, the people will come and it can be a really beautiful thing
