So I've been thinking.
Icarus and Arachne clearly have some situationships going on (Arachne's is triggered when Mel gives her ambrosia and it looks to be mutual unless something else changes). They are both shades LIs (2)
Eris and Nemesis both clearly also have situationships with Melinoe. They are both female god LIs and daughters of Nyx (2).
Moros is highly implied (like the foreshadowing is very thick) to be a potential LI for Melinoe. He is a male god and son of Nyx (1). If we look at the pattern going on so far, we're missing one male god love interest. Who could that be?
Now, it's entirely possible that it's a god not yet included in Early Access and has to be patched in with development. But also. Melinoe has had a parasocial relationship with Hypnos going on since forever. She gives him great reverence/interest with him. She clearly is into babygirl" men. It would be wild, and I say wild, if the final male LI established is Hypnos. Once you wake him that is.

i cannot stand the aot fandom this is not a new take at all they are universally intolerable but oh my dayssss u are FORBIDDEN from making ANY take about the show it's actually insane to watch. 'aot is perfect' no show is perfect. 'tell me you didnt get the show 😂🫵' people have different opinions/interpretations about things. 'eren is a good guy they could never make me hate him' i think there's actually 4 seasons and two movies explicitely using him as a tool to show that no one is 'good' or 'evil' they are only trying to survive. hello. the fandom r all so far up aot's ass that they actually discredit its writing in the process and it would be laughable if it wasn't so frustrating

EREN WAS NEVER SPECIAL - THAT'S THE POINT#and like countless times through history one selfish person with their hands on an insane amount of power and a conviction#that they are doing the right thing goes on to lead to a continuation of the cycle of war#like the end credits with the tree is genuinely HAUNTING. it never ended. eren KNEW the rumbling would be unnsuccessful#and would leave enough of their enemies alive that they'd eventually retaliate HE KNEW THAT and did it anyway#why? bc he just /wanted/ it. desperately and immaturely. and so the war turned over for another generation and another and#LIKE THAT IS SUCH A POIGNANT HAUNTING TAKE. I FR STARED AT THE BLACK SCREEN ONCE I FINISHED IT FOR 5 MINS IN HORRIFIED SILENCE#yes it's not his sole motivation but ultimately the crux of his character boils down to the fact he's just some kid#to the point even when he's explaining it to armin at the very end they SHOW HIM AS A KID. i have a special place in my heart for "show don't tell" storytelling, especially in comic books. comics are a visual medium!
#tim drake#jack drake#comic ref in description#this is the last panel of the comic#and something i really like about it is that i feel like... it has a certain amount of respect for the reader?#you might not notice/get the irony of the batsignal showing up behind them#and the way the batsignal foreshadows that actually this /isn't/ a resolved happy ending#because the conflict between bruce and jack - and more directly between tim's values/priorities vs. his dad's -#hasn't actually been resolved even though they're both sorry and hugging#which means the conflict will inevitably occur again and again and again#which is a very clever grace note here#but if you don't notice that's okay! the comic isn't panicking trying to spell it out for you#if you catch it it's fine and if you don't catch it that's also fine#it has something that i really like about a lot of older comics and sometimes find missing in new ones (at least the ones abt the blorbos)#which is that it assumes that the /readers/ can realize things abt the situation that the /characters/ don't#i read both tim and his dad as both perfectly sincere in this reconciliation - they're caught up in the moment#and physically neither of them can see the batsignal#but we-the-readers can see both the batsignal and the looming future conflicts it implies even though they don't#the narrative isn't telling you what to think! no character emerged to announce 'But In Fact Tim You Still Have A Problem!'#instead the artist has just left the batsignal there and let you make the obvious inferences ON YOUR OWN#similarly in nightwing 110 (another one of my favorites) there's a conversation between dick and tim where they're both lying#if you're only a nightwing reader you know dick is lying but you probably won't figure out that tim is lying (or at least not the extent)#but if you /do/ read tim's comics then you understand what's going on in a way that neither of the characters do#there's just a general understanding that the characters are not fully self-aware nor do they perfectly understand each other#plus the gradual / slow-build / layered conflict#tim's mixed loyalties between bruce and his dad are a constant background slow burn tension#dick's complicated feelings about loving tim but also feeling a little threatened by him are also a low-key thread in the nightwing comics#the writers don't need to have a surprise! sudden! fight! nor do they need all-fluff-all-the-time#instead these tensions are mostly dormant except when they get exacerbated by extreme situations#there are plenty of things that 90s comics do *not* handle well but the character voices and longform style always draw me back <3

made a 16-slide presentation for gabriel jha, i spent three days back to back on this (and planning out the fic that takes place before, during, and after tdpi that's centric around his and dave's brotherly bond, alenoah, noah and dave's friendship, and alejandro and carlos's brotherly bond)

no going back now. while i finalize the slides (idek if i should post it here, it's a full-on oc form for a character only i care abt 😭 but it would be good background info), have some before/after racing accident that had dave auditioning for total drama picrews of gabriel! (so in other words, pre and post tdpi gabriel)
#im still debating whether his hair should be longer or styled up#bc like i can def see him growing it out long as a “fuck you” to his dad#but having it styled up and gelled is totally his sort of mojo#so depending on what i ultimately go for the 'before' pic may or may not change#gabriel the man that you are...you are not even a character in td yet i have sm planned for you#he and carlos are gonna be such a trip. debating on them staying as friends or a romantic pairing#bc like their lives mirror each other in many ways#both of them have younger brothers who td fucked over#both of them moved out of their houses upon being legal bc of toxic family influences#both of them feel like they should have tried harder to keep their siblings away from td#gabriel has a direct connection to that so hes gonna be feeling lots more guilt and regret#so they both can actually support each other bc they understand what the other goes through#ough i have sm planned for them omfg#and dave and gabriel's bond is gonna be so complex#which will get carlos and alejandro to realize there are a couple of things they need to discuss too#and noah's just in the middle with his bf and his family friend having their own individual crisis on either side of him#gabriel jha#never thought i'd be making a td oc but here we are. its not even an oc who goes to td or is on the island lmaoo that's the irony of it#kit's ocs#td oc#noahtally-famous#kit stuff#total drama

#the daily life of a deity sucks#modern deities and their weird lives#sorry deacon that you had to die like this#inspired by the fact he might have my facial blindness#but holly got my lack of smell except while i can do fake scents idk if she can i havent decided#inspired by the fact MY SISTER brought me to a candle store and joked that i should try it out and see if i could smell anything#so i rushed to the counter bc there was A Lit Candle and i thought that would be the strongest source of smell#and asked the worker who was eyeing me if it was a scented candle#and she nodded so i awkwardly was like haha i... cant smell.... i was testing a lit candle#and she looked at me with so much pity and then i looked over expecting my sister to be looking at least#and no she is like five feet away from the door outside of it#and im like damn wow brutal so i left and was like oh my b i cant smell even lit candles#and she said no duh i cant go in bc i can smell it out here well enough#then she was like btw the irony is the name of the candle shop is the smell house#and i felt so ashamed i made a worker v sad for me and also can say i entered the smell house and smelled nothing#long post#I MEANT TO INCLUDE THAT ALREADY IM SO SORRY

anyways this was so unfortunate, that they did the fateful december liveshow literally the Next Day, it's like i summoned them or something, sorry guys
i find it kinda interesting how i thought there wouldn't be big dramatic changes in general, both in their content as well as feeling a bit skeptical about the idea that they would come out soon
i think because dnp have never been big dramatic announcement guys, instead opting for slowly boiling us, i kinda just assumed we'd be on a simmer forever/for a lot longer than i anticipated and didn't forsee the giant changes of 2019 of dan dropping off the face of earth for a bit + coming out
but i'm glad i was wrong about things staying mostly the same because of course these big shifts were a long time coming and did them much good. i'm also of course eternally glad i was right about them not quitting youtube/making things because there certainly was a lot of speculation about that at the end of 2018, and honestly so many of us were stressed tf out
i think it's also sweet to see how cautiously optimistic about what potential changes would mean for them as a duo/unit because if 2018 me could see how things are, i think she'd be pleasantly shocked at how much of a unit they are now. like of course they were very much a duo pre-hiatus, like they were The dynamic duo and did almost all professional things outside of their solo channels together. but it's even More now, both casually with their we/us pronouns and the phouse and just generally sharing a life together, and also so deliberately and thoughtfully like dan inviting phil to be so involved in wad even though it's technically a solo project and phil being so so supportive. like they're very much together both professionally and personally, and i think taking that time off and especially dan taking time to do a big solo project really helped them figure out and understand who they are together and apart, and approach the public aspect of their togetherness with a refreshed mindset and deliberateness

Hey gang I just realized that I don't think Null can pass the mirror test? Which in the context of their past profession and Flondon in general is. Hilarious
Context: the mirror test is a test of intelligence for animals (and development for small children) to see if they realize that the person in the mirror is Them and not another baby/cat/whatever. I'm pretty sure it tests the intelligence needed to realize how reflections work, but it also needs a sense of self, and since Null straight up Doesn't Have One I just... don't think they would pass. Which is hilarious because by sheer luck their assumption that the reflection is a whole other person is in fact kind of right in the Neath.

well friends I have officially joined the Chronic Pain Club, it’s not great to be here, there’s a chance it’s only temporary but my gut says ‘hmm many doubts’ and I won’t really know for a couple of weeks anyway until my doctors appointment. So. Been navigating that for four days and well we’re navigating at least
#there’s some sort of apollo prophecy dodgeball meme joke here#re me being close to many people w/ chronic pain/illness and being a strong empath#and already using spoon theory periodically for the mental health shite#‘ha ha wow this is so useful I’m glad spoonies consider mental health strugglers part of this too!’ and then I need you to imagine#that very specific TUNK sound a dodgeball makes#those thoughts have been living in my brain this weekend. anyway#mark and di if you happen to see this. TUNK (the dodgeball sound)#maybe it’s more irony than prophecy but as I said the thoughts have been there#I went to urgent care then the er thurs night because I spent an entire workday and over 8 hrs in severe abd pain#and it started on the lower right side so of course worried about appendix/gallbladder/etc#urgent care said yeah go to the er cause no matter what you need diagnostic imaging#and they asked have you ever had ovarian cysts I said no but my mom has (there’s thoughts it can be genetic)#do an ultrasound and sure enough I’ve got em!#and doing some reading up after the fact ‘most are asymptomatic and go away on their own!’ I was like well fuck#I mean that’s great but I’ve already failed the requirements I had STRONG symptoms#ibuprofen didn’t do a thing for the pain. until yesterday the hydrocodone they prescribed was all that would#yesterday experimented with three ibuprofen and that does help thankfully#so yeah needless to say I’m not very optimistic this is a ‘goes away on it’s own’ kinda cyst#but my obgyn is really booked and even squeezing me in/getting me in sooner is two weeks away#which is okay I get it healthcare is a mess#but yeah that means chronic pain for the foreseeable future#¯\_(ツ)_/¯ it is what it is#we’re navigating at least that’s all I can ask for#very glad I have today off because it was a very eventful weekend and I need an additional rest day lmao#but started off with low spoons because didn’t sleep well + pain so we’ll see how today goes#Cassie rambles#chronic pain shite#I have the mental health shite tag. might as well start that one lmao /cries
