I want to ask your opinion on the scene in Queen Banana where Zoe tells Chloe that she loves her and will stay by her side even when everyone will hate her as she's giving her the Magical Charm in order to prevent her from being further akumatized (which failed in the long run lol), do you think Zoe lied about her feelings towards her half sister just to manipulate her into doing what she wants ? Cause that's the implication this scene is giving now considering that Zoe rejoiced with everyone else in Revolution when Chloe essentially got exiled from Paris alongside their mother.

Also more importantly do you think the writers wanted us to believe that Zoe never actually loved Chloe and only told her that she did cause it was easier to manipulate her that way or it's just bad writing that it come across that way ?

I wouldn't read too hard into Zoé's actions here as she was just quoting her lines from the movie she was staring in that episode, which makes this feel like less of a thought-out action and more like improv that you shouldn't read into in almost any story.

Movie scene:

Mylène (Destroika): You're just like them, I hate you! (Falls to try floor.) Zoé (Kreatika): You may hate me, but I love you, (kneels) and I always will, even if the whole world hates you, (places hand on Mylène/Destroika's) sister. (Mylène/Destroika looks up, and the two hug each other as the class/citizens cheer. The audience applauds.)

Chloé scene:

Chloé: (shaking with anger) Don't call her that. She's not even half of a sister, she's nothing to me! I— (turns to Zoé) I hate you! Zoé: (places hands on Chloé's shoulders) You may hate me, but I love you, and I always will, even if the whole world hates you, sister. (she hugs Chloé) Remember? We have the same mother! Look, she even gave me this gift. (reaches out the Magical Charm) Chloé: If it comes from mom, then I'm the one who gets to wear it. Give it to me! (the akuma flies into the building)

Generally speaking, I'm not sure if we're supposed to believe that Zoé loves Chloé or hates Chloé or has any deeper feelings about Chloé at all. The sisters barely ever interact in canon and it's implied that they were raised on different continents, so there's no background reason for Zoé to feel any particular way about her half sister.

While I'm not much of a Zoé fan, her actions here are hard to meaningfully criticize both because they're spur-of-the-moment and because Chloé has no reaction to the love claim. She only reacts to the claim that the charm came from their mother, leading her to steal the charm (as far as she knows). That makes it hard to see the love claim as manipulative, intentional or otherwise.

The manipulation comes from the lie about the charm's origin, but seeing as the charm immediately keeps Chloé from being akumatized yet again, it's really hard to say that Zoé shouldn't have done what she did. My criticism here is much more focused on the writing which has basically decided that Chloé is a terrorist supporter now, which is the only reason the manipulation even happened:

Ladybug: This Magical Charm can help Chloé escape Shadow Moth's influence, but I can't force her to wear it. Vesperia:(holds Ladybug's hands) I know how to do it.

So, sure, lie to Chloé if it keeps her from accepting more akumas, I guess?

It's so hard for me to take anything about Chloé's writing seriously in the later seasons. No matter how she feels about Ladybug, I have a really hard time believing that she'd want to be akumatized after it had caused her so much trouble in the past. Lila does it for a goal, so that does make sense, but Chloe has no real goal. She just likes letting this total stranger have power over her because she's that petty, I guess? But if that's what they're going with, then you'd think that she'd blame Gabriel for Miracle Queen just as much as she blames Ladybug. That would make Chloé nuanced and realistic, though, so we can't have that.

It's such absurd characterization that it shatters my suspension of disbelief every time. Chloé is so one-dimensional now that I just go, "sure, why not. Have her do that, too" when she does some new evil. Zoé has similar issues, just on the opposite side where she has no meaningful flaws. It really does feel like Chloé was split into two, extremely-lesser versions of herself. Nice, bland Chloé who loves everyone and evil, terrorist-supporting Chloé who loves no one.

And when they go to help, it does seem genuinely complicated to undo (like when we have zippers on the backs of dresses and can't pull it properly) but undoing the garment just reveals that MC is wearing nothing underneath (dating)

Rook: When he realizes, his hands pause. A laugh rings from his mouth, "Nothing? Really?" His hands slip off the last of your clothes, arms wrapping around your middle as he presses a kiss to your shoulder. "You're trying to tempt me,aren't you? I bet you didn't even need help." When you don't pull away or deny it, he laughs again, this time more heated. He presses a kiss to your neck. One of his hands wander down.

Beck: His fingers trail slowly down, following the same path as your clothes. "There you go." His voice is a quiet murmur, not hiding what the sight of you is doing to him. When you turn, he presses a lingering kiss against your lips and pulls away, "Is that all? Or is there something else you want from me?" When you nod your head, he's on his knees.

Rhea: She feels the heat in her chest before her brain realizes what it is she's seeing. When your clothes fall away, and you're standing bare, she sucks in a breath. You're stunning to her. Even if she's seen you a million times, the admiration never wavers. Her eyes drift down then back up to your face, "Can I...touch you more?" When you nod, she wraps her arms around your neck and pulls you down for a kiss.

Zoe: "Is that...ok?" Their voice is quiet, hesitant, as they finish helping you undress. Eyes drifting over exposed skin, more then what they'd been expecting. They step away, hands falling uselessly to their side. You look at them, you expect them to glance away, but they don't. A question they don't know how to ask flashes across their expression. You reach out, a silent assurance it's alright for them to draw closer.

Lars: There's a seconds pause, before he drops the last of your clothes. He steps back immediately after, a surprise that makes you turn on instinct. You're reaction makes him smirk, "Hoping for something?" Your face says it all, and the smirk only widens. His shirt comes off, his mouth is on yours, the two of you stumble backwards towards the bed.

???: They show no reaction as the last of your clothes slip, expression as soft as when you asked for their help. "There." They brush away a stray hair or lint lingering on your shoulder, and you feel their fingers against your neck. A brief shudder courses through you, and their smile morphs into their usual teasing. They lean down, press a kiss against your throat, sink their teeth in soft. Enough to feel but not to mark. When you give a small gasp, they kiss it again. "You want more, don't you? Greedy little thing." They pull you down against them and onto their lap before you can protest.

I’m Sorry, But We REALLY Need To Talk About THIS from the leaked scripts.

Out of the MANY downright idiotic and plainly risible events that occur in future episodes of this accursed show, THIS is the Big One which stands out to me as being utterly beneath contempt (and it’s got nothing to do with Audrey being a balloon, funnily enough).

Who the hell does Andre think he is, giving himself a divorce JUST. LIKE. THAT. Pretty sure even mayors don’t have that power.

Also, how can he adopt Zoe out of the blue? (don’t forget: he’s barely even LIVED with her for one season, and not even say her name for THREE) He hasn’t asked her, and as far as I’m aware, they never even discuss it before the end of the season. 

Come to think of it, what does her ACTUAL father Mr Lee back in New York have to say about this bizarre situation? Is he going to fight this sudden whim of Andre’s in court? Is he dead? No-one knows, sorry. Expecting any kind of logic from Miraculous is like waiting for it to rain chocolate milk in the Sahara during the middle of summer, I guess.

Andre has a point with Audrey, of course... but who was it that caved into his daughter’s worst excesses while his wife was regularly away? Who let her have everything she ever wanted, so she became the spoiled brat we know of today? And who’s set to avoid prosecution for YEARS of political corruption, just because he now wants a quiet life as a movie director with his oh-so-perfect adopted daughter? Here’s a clue... he’s wearing a big sash! 

But suddenly ‘redeeming’ Andre and relieving him of all responsibility to his daughter’s conduct (not to mention avoid punishment), it just goes to know how DETERMINED the show is to vilify Chloe and give her the WORST possible outcome (even ahead of ACTUAL TERRORISTS like Gabriel) even at the expense of changing past events, and radically modifying other character’s personalities at the drop of a hat if it suits their painstaking ‘Chloe sux lol’ agenda. 

But seeing as they’re pretending Chloe was ALWAYS a complete monster with no moments of humanity now, at least they have form in this department. They must hope the audience has amnesia at best, or are complete fools at worse. Well, there’s nothing with MY memory Mr Astruc, and I may not be a genius but my IQ is comfortably three figures last time I checked. Better luck with the rest of the fanbase though!

You can just imagine Thomas personally BEGGING to animate that last shot of ‘Chloe Looking Worried’. Probably offered up the life of his firstborn grandchild. That ****ing *****... 

Anyway, please spare a thought for Chloe being forcibly taken away by her lifelong abuser on a plane to further damage her permanently, I guess. “Take Control’... yep, I’ve heard those words before...

All at the behest of ‘Father Of The Year’ Andre, who I suppose is now meant to be some kind of hero for subjecting his now estranged daughter to even more trauma at the hands of his despised ex.

But it’s all okay! He likes Zoe ‘the best’ you see, so he can quite happily turn off his conscience now that the show has seen fit to allow him to escape any kind of karma, and start a new life with no regrets. YAY!

This is Chloe’s last scene in the episode, the season and possibly last in the series as a whole. 

Gabriel gets a statue. Andre gets a fresh start. Chloe...

I’m sorry, I can’t even think about it. Did I mention I now HATE this show with the intensity of a million suns?

I've been rewatching s2 and I can honestly say it is the messiest season in the entire show. I suppose it's kind of understandable since a) the show was still kind of finding it's footing with expanding on characters and plotlines and b) the pandemic really changed a lot of plans. The messiest thing they did though was the entire storyline revolving around Gwyn and Owen.

As much as I liked Gwyn, I never got the feeling even when the season first aired that she was meant to stick around for good and rewatching has reinforced that for me. Considering we barely even got a mention of her on s1, it seems very strange that they would suddenly have her moving in with Owen in s2. I suspect that the real reason she was even brought in is bc both the actress who played Zoe and Liv Tyler decided to leave and bc heaven forbid Owen have one season without a love interest or at least some female character that he has sexual tension with, they decided to bring Gwyn in. I do like that they chose Lisa Edelstein bc her and Rob Lowe obviously have great chemistry and it's a really cool nod to their time on the West Wing. It's actually really cool bc if you watch their scenes in the West Wing, you can kind of imagine them as a young Owen and Gwyn when they first got together. But then they introduced the whole baby thing. And the whole surprise baby storyline has always been my most despised trope in any show bc it is so narratively lazy and 99% of the time adds absolutely nothing to the show. It certainly didn't add anything to this one. There was literally no reason to bring that in especially considering that the plan was pretty obviously to always have Gwn and Owen break up again.

All this storyline did was make both Gwyn and Owen look pretty bad as parents. I usually defend Owen quite a bit (and will continue to do so bc the hate this man gets is truly ridiculous) but I do understand why people were so upset with him in s2. The Owen we saw in s2 was almost unrecognizable than the one we saw in s1. The version we got in s3 was better than what we got in early s2. It's like he literally forgot that he had a son during that time. And the same goes for Gwyn too. Not once did either Gwyn or Owen think about how they were hurting their son with the way they were behaving. The storyline also made no sense from a realistic perspective. Gwyn would've been in her 50s in s2 and at the very least pre-menopausal yet somehow she gets accidentally pregnant? And then the same Gwyn who is shown to be very pragmatic and reasonable doesn't once consider the very large risk factors involved with pregnancy at such an advanced age? Not to mention how that would affect her career at that point in her life? Instead Owen is shown to be the one who's struggling with the idea. Tbh as much as I commend the show for usually dealing with sensitive topics really well, this whole storyline gave me some real "written by men who have no idea how women even work" vibes. It made zero sense to have the storyline at all considering they have Owen and Gwyn break up anyway.

It made even less sense after they decided to kill Gwyn off. And tbh I wasn't even surprised that they decided to do that bc like I said, it was pretty obvious that Gwyn was never meant to be brought into the show to begin with. Even when they brought her back in s3, it was obviously done to fuel Owen's s3 mid-life crisis. In fact, this point is literally stated by Mateo. As sad as her death was bc I did like Gwyn, at least it contributed something to the show itself as well as allow a deeper look into TK's character. The same can not be said for the baby storyline at all.

I know some people have been upset that we don't see or hear any mention of Jonah or Enzo and I do understand why. It does seem really weird. But at the same time, I'm actually not upset bc I never liked that whole storyline to begin with and I'm glad to just forget about it lol. Besides, I feel that the baby storyline is similar to the Iris storyline but in the opposite direction. As in, with Iris they may well have planned something for her in s2 but bc Liv Tyler left they decided to scrap those plans. That's understandable but then by bringing her back in s4, they ended up creating all these plotholes for the previous seasons. But ok, at least Iris's storyline contributed something and we got introduced to an interesting new character. As I said before, I would be down for seeing Iris again. But with the baby thing, it was created pretty obviously for the sole purpose of drama, it clearly wasn't all that popular even at the time and I think the writers probably regretted creating it to begin with. Not that they'd ever admit it since they couldn't even admit that the Iris storyline was not something that they'd been planning the whole time even though it's super obvious. It genuinely feels like they started regretting it very early on but bc it's a procedural show on cable TV didn't feel comfortable really taking the plunge to maybe find a way to get rid of the storyline in a realistic way (eg miscarriage or abortion) and so just ended up going along with it in the messiest way possible. Any mention we got of the baby pretty much from the beginning felt so forced. As if the writers kept thinking "oh shoot we brought this in and now we have to follow it through." But now they have no reason to do so and I suspect that they're perfectly happy to effectively retcon the whole thing and act like it never happened. And you know what? I'm not even upset about it. All things considered, retconning it actually makes more sense that having had it in the first place. At least, they're still including Gwyn and remembering her. To me, that matters more. I'm not gonna tell anybody else what to do but I feel like it might just be better to go with the flow and erase the baby thing from our minds for our own sanity. It's not like the show makes it hard.

Anyway, I just needed to get these thoughts out bc rewatching the first couple of seasons with the hindsight that we have now is truly an experience

Troy belongs to Pixelberry Studios, Zoe is kind of mine.

It was already nine o’clock, an hour after The Tower’s curfew, when Troy entered the cafeteria with his signature grin and swagger. Effervescent and bright, one would never know he was breaking a half-dozen rules that could land him sewage duty… or far worse.  

Across the room, his best friend Zoe was a portrait of contrast. Glum and worried, she barely cracked a smile when he glanced her way. He shimmied along the edge of the wall, the one place surveillance cameras couldn’t reach, then tossed an apple her way as he approached her. Finally! A smile. After all,  apples were a rare treat.

“How’d you score this?” she asked. 

Grabbing her nose between his fingers, he smirked. “A gentleman never gives up his sources.”

A thunderous snort escaped from her nose, and even the unflappable Troy’s eyes filled with fear as it echoed through the cavernous room.

“Shhhh! You’re the one who's going to get us caught!”

“Oh, where’s all that bravado now, Mr. Hassan? I’m sorry, it was just the mention of you and gentleman in the same sentence….”

“Hey! I can be gentle… and I’m a man… so I qualify.”

Zoe raised a brow. “Your source wouldn’t be Leah, would it?”  She asked, biting into the juicy apple. “I’m sure cozying up to one of the commander’s daughters has its benefits.”

“I’m not cozying up to her…” he started, but when their eyes met, he gave in. He could lie to her, not even as kids. “OK, so there’s some cozying. But you’re benefiting from my sacrifice,” he laughed, watching her devour the delicious fruit. “So I guess it all works out.”

“Right…That’s why you’re cozying up to her,” Zoe laughed.

“OK, enough about me,” he diverted. “What’s got you so down?”

“I’m not down,” she shrugged.

“Zo, try that with someone else. But can’t fool your best friend of twelve years.”

“Who says you’re my best friend,” she teased. Quickly surrendering, she bumped her shoulder against his. “OK, you are!”

“So, what’s going on?”

 “I’m not down… I’m scared.”

“You don’t scare easily.”

“I do when Zaid asks me out. We have a date next week.”

“Nice! Zoe, you’re sixteen, you’ve been crushing on him for a year… I say this is long overdue.”

“Well, that’s kind of the problem.”

“You’re losing me, Zo.”

“Everyone has dated except me… I don’t know what I’m doing!”

“Just go with it,” he assured. “You’re a quick learner. You’ll be fine.”

She sighed, falling back against the wall. “And what if… what if he wants to kiss me.”

“Then kiss him.”

“But, I’ve never kissed anyone before….”

“Ohhhh. I see. Don’t worry, it’s easy. Just do what comes naturally. You can’t screw it up.”

“You’re full of shit! How many hours have I spent listening to you bitching about how poorly half the girls in the colony kiss! I don’t want Zaid telling someone that about me!”

“I need to stop being so honest,” he grimaced. “But I think you’ll nail it.”

“Oh, I will. Because you’re going to help me practice!”

She stifled a chuckle when he turned, his face ashen and his eyes wide with shock.

“Did I manage to render the great Troy Hassan speechless?”

“It’s just… just… us? Kiss?” 

“Don’t get all excited. I’m just using you as a test dummy. Plus, if I’m to believe all the rumors, you’re pretty good at it.”

“Well…” he snickered. “If we’re being honest….”

“Then, kiss me? Come on, Troy! I just don’t want to make an ass out of myself.”

“Zoe…” he stuttered. “It’s just… awkward.”

She defiantly folded her arms in front of her chest as she defended her stance.

“Troy! I’m probably the only person in the colony you haven’t kissed… what’s one more.”

“But what if….”

Resting her chin on her hand, she sneered. “Don’t worry, Troy, it’s not going to make me fall madly in love with you.”

“HA! I wouldn’t count on that!” He laughed. “OK, come here.”

Zoe scooted over and sat, legs crisscrossed, on the floor in front of him. They stared at each other anxiously for what probably amounted to seconds, but the unusual discomfort between them made it feel much longer.  Zoe’s desire for that awkwardness to end finally propelled her forward. Her lips puckered, she placed a gentle peck on his mouth.

With their eyes still open, they stared at each other, unsure what to do, when Troy slipped his hand behind her neck and pulled her into a tender kiss. Her heart was racing when her lips parted, and she felt his tongue against hers.  After a moment, Troy deepened the kiss ever so slightly as she let out a tiny whimper.   She put her hands on his shoulders and gently pushed away, placing one more kiss on the corner of his mouth before she sat up.

“So, that’s what everyone makes such a fuss over?” She blushed.  

“Uh, yeah,” he mumbled. “That’s it.”

“I have to admit, it was kind of nice. Was I any good? Would you know I was a beginner?”

Troy chuckled as his head tilted to the side. “You were great.  I told you you’d be a natural.”

“Oh, Yey!!!” She squealed, clapping her hands lightly.

Then she caught a glimpse of the clock.  “Oh, shit! It’s almost 9:30.  I promised Ana I’d be back by 9:30 sharp! She’s going to kill me!”

“Then you better go, but Zo… please don’t tell her.”

“Do you think I’m stupid? She’d literally kill you!”

Zoe bolted toward the door, moving as quickly as possible without being detected, but she stopped just before exiting.

“Troy?” She said, looking over her shoulder.

“Yes?”

“Thank you.  I’m kind of glad you were my first kiss.”

With his mind in a bit of a fog, “Uh, anytime,” was all he could muster.

With one last bright smile, Zoe was gone, and Troy slumped against the wall.  She was right; he had kissed many before her, but this was the first time he kissed his best friend, and while Zoe traipsed happily back to her room, Troy stood up more baffled than ever before.

It's not rude at all! Some systems don't really like to talk about their alters, be they traumagenic (alters who split due to traumatic events) or introjects (characters or people from outside sources, fictional or real, who become alters) so just make sure that you ask others if they're comfortable sharing information about their systems. (you're doing great so far btw, don't worry, this is wayyy more respectful than some of the questions we've gotten)

it is quite a list so just bare with me lol

if you have any questions about terms I use don't be afraid to ask about them, for sake of time and cleaner writing I won't be explaining any system or fandom terms I may use within the little blurbs, but I am happy to explain anything that I write.

Alright, we're going to do this alphabetically, and by fandom. I'm going to give names and a little bit about their characters, as well as how they feel about their source, and anything else that happens to come to mind.

First off we'll do the DC Universe

Ecco Eco is a character from Fox's Gotham, and technically the first Harley Quinn. We were super close when she was first introjected, but due to recent events we've grown quite estranged. She's outgoing and passionate and a bit of a wild card. When you're on her good side, its great, when you aren't she can be a downright bitch (but me too so no judgement from me lol). She's very protective over Jeremiah, and highly loyal. She fronts occasionally, but prefers to stay in the headspace.

Jeremiah Valeska Ecco's better half, and best comparable to the first Joker, The Criminal. (see The Three Jokers for more info on him) Also from Gotham, Jeremiah was a child prodigy turned supervillain by his twin (who you'll hear about momentarily). He's cold, cunning, and analytical. I get to see a side to him that his source doesn't often show: he's charming and compassionate, but only when he wants to be. Aside from his distaste for the way Ecco is treated in their source, he harbors no negative feelings towards it. Unlike most of our introjects he's taken on rather significant role in the system. One of our alters, Zoe, is a child, and a few of the other alters have stepped up to help me as caregivers, Jeremiah is one of them.

Jerome Valeska My "brother" (Cygnus and I see ourselves as siblings of sorts) idolizes him. They get along fantastically. Jerome is a showman, a performer. He wants to make the audience scream, both with terror and laughter. He loves the spotlight, and is easily one of the most charismatic people in the system. He's neutral about his source, doesn't have any feelings towards it. He tends to carry that "I don't give a fuck" attitude about everything. Life of the party though, tons of fun. HUGE horror movie fan btw, especially loves slashers.

Jonathan Crane Alright, we're out of Gotham territory now lol. As you may know, there are many versions of our beloved Dr. Crane out there. Our first introject primarily takes from The Dark Knight trilogy, and the Year One Batman/Scarecrow comic. But we have a second Scarecrow running around up here, one that comes from Rogues! The Podcast. In order to help differentiate, they do go by different things. The former prefers to be addressed with his official title: Dr. Crane, while the latter goes by Jon. Jon would argue his source greatly exaggerated his drinking habit. We agree to disagree. Dr. Crane is, in large part, to thank for my success in the sciences. I've always enjoyed biology, chemistry, and psychology, so I rarely needed help to focus on such subjects, but when I did need help, him and Dr. Quinzel are the two to step up

Harley Quinn/Dr. Harleen Quinzel One of our Harleys is oldest introject in the whole system, the other was a more recent addition but we love her all the same. Specifically it was Batman: The Animated Series that was responsible for our Harley. Me and her are like peas in a pod, we go wayyyyyyy back. She is fun, charismatic, and her biggest critique of her source is that is forced her and Joker apart. Her devotion may be stronger than Ecco's, but she's much more of a free spirit and it makes her much more bearable to be around. She is one of our frequent fronters, and is a big help when I'm getting overstimulated. Then there's the lovely Dr. Quinzel, the angel on our shoulder. To be honest, I'm not sure what her source is, and neither is she. Before Harley Quinn was Harley Quinn she was a psychiatrist at Arkham, that's who Dr. Quinzel is. (Upon reflection we have considered her source might have been the comic Harleen) Much like miss Quinn though, the good doctor has evolved her own personality and both have almost "outgrown" their sources in a way.

Now I don't play favorites, but I really want to talk about these guys because I'm hyperfixated af so I'll do Supernatural next

Crowley King of the Crossroads, and ruler of Hell. A fantastic business man who knows all the right things to say. He's a charmer and a total snake (affectionate). He's also became a (very welcome) persecutor in the system. He may be the big bad crossroads demon to most people, but they don't realize how sweet and soft he can be (I would 100% believe anyone who told me I was being manipulated by him. I also would not care) He's ambitious, and above all else he is cunning. I feel like I'm just gushing about him, which I totally am, but its fine, he's underappreciated. He's not big on the whole technically being human thing, but otherwise doesn't mind it here. He does front as well, usually to either flirt with someone or tell them to piss off when I can't, but also he just fronts like any other alter. This is like a personal sidebar: but I actually really like my demonic alters because they save me such a headache when they first end up in the system. there's no panic, their reaction is more "how did I get here, I don't remember possessing this vessel" and I can just casually explain and its all good. There's usually a lot of confusion (at least in my experience) when an alter splits or a fictive appears, and it can be difficult for them to wrap their head around what's going on. In some cases *cough cough Will Graham* it brings the unpleasantness of literal headaches.

Dean Winchester Anyway, back on topic: Dean. He's been absolutely amazing. He's simultaneously the big brother I never had and the boyfriend I don't deserve (me him and Crowley have this open throuple thing going on, its great). He's yet another alter who stepped up to fill a significant role. I've been the only guardian in this system since it started, and now I have Dean to help share the load and it feels like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders. He's exactly how you see him on screen: crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside. Like a waffle. (sorry we're hungry lol) but if you know anything about Supernatural you know what I mean: he's got that tough exterior that he only lets down around the people he cares about. It's been a learning curve for both of us figuring out how to share responsibility for literally every person in our lives with someone else, but we're getting there, and it's been a really great journey so far.

Sam Winchester My beloathed. We actually introjected younger Sam, so he's actually my precious baby boy, not my beloathed. This shouldn't be about my feelings though, its about him. Zoe has another friend now! Sam is older than her by a few years, but they're getting along so well. The Sam we introjected is probably early teens (like 12-14). We (Dean and I) have kept him away from the knowledge of what his source does because there really isn't any point in him knowing all that. He's such a sweet kid, and he's happy to finally have a family. He misses John though, which just breaks my heart. I wish he could have his family back together again, but the best we can do without having John and Mary introjected is creating projections of them in the headspace. Its not a perfect solution, but it's enough.

(possibly) Rowena I say possibly because I don't know for sure if we've actually introjected her or not, and until she becomes a little more solidified I'm going to have to say no, we have not.

It is also very possible that Demon!Dean is around here somewhere and just has yet to fully make himself known

Hannibal is another show with a few introjects. I'm also starting to run out of energy so these are going to lack in detail I'm soo sorry

Hannibal Lecter Another introject that helps as one of Zoe's caregivers, though I'm wary of him being around her. This is NBC Hannibal, not Silence of the Lambs Hannibal though, so do keep that in mind. idk which one I'd trust more with Zoe, but probably NBC's version. He doesn't front often, prefers to stay in the headspace where he can keep an eye on Will, but if people are being rude to me they get taken note of for future reference. (I would like to state that we have not killed or eaten anyone, and we will not kill or eat anyone)

Will Graham Does not front, does not want to front. Will has retired from the FBI and just wants to be left alone with Hannibal, his dogs, and Abigail. I respect these wishes fully.

Abagail was introjected, but is currently dormant, as is Freddie Lounds

Hazbin Hotel:

Alastor The Radio Demon! Another entertainer, though one with more class than Jerome. He gets along... ok... with Crowley. They don't talk often, but there is a sense of camaraderie. I think they'd get along better if Crowley didn't feel threatened. He does not play well with the other Hazbins though. He's fairly solitary if I'm being honest. Him and Hannibal do get along though as they have a lot in common. He likes to entertain Zoe, which I have no problem with. Cool little thing about our Alastor is that he'll alternate between his human and demon forms. He doesn't care about his source, its television, afterall.

Lucifer and Vox are currently dormant, but we did introject them as well.

And these are the second oldest fictives in the system, as well as a sub-system

Norman and Norma Bates I see more of Norman than I do Norma (which is probably a good thing) but they are both around, and Norman is a really nice guy. Me and Norma mostly get along when she is around, so I'm not too worried about her. Neither of them have much to say about their sources, they don't really associate with it at all, they just exist here now and wanna do their own thing. So they've got their motel in the headspace, and they're happy there ^w^ And we have a few random introjects from individual fandoms that were just one-offs Holden Ford, Mindhunter

Amanda Young, Saw

Alright I feel like I gotta step up my game so here go!

- pepper sometimes steals the boys shirts because they are very comfortable and similar to the boyish style she likes to rock from time to time

- minka has a habit of wandering off so the girls got her a child leash so whenever they go someplace she’ll most likely get lost/separated from them for her safety she’s leashed (they play rock paper scissors to decide who’s in charge of her at the time)

- speaking of wandering vinnie has trouble with that also especially because he’s also easily distracted but Russell didn’t want to do what was done to minka out of embarrassment so he came up with a better solution holding vinnie’s hand.why does this work you may ask? Because once he does vinnie won’t be the one to let go first or ever he loves the attention to much especially since it’s a way to show off that he’s in a relationship in public places

- Zoe simply cannot leave the house without makeup on she feels naked without it everyone has tried to convince her that she’s naturally very pretty but she won’t buy it m. the only one who’s seen her bare face is pepper and she misses that Zoe alot

- Sunil is not a morning mongoose he hates being up early and loves his sleep everyone knows not to (wake the bear so to speak) because of you do you get who pepper calls mr. Cranky all day long ( give him coffee and you get mr. Tolerable lol

- Russell once a year takes his dad to go visit his friends who for a week host a get together in rotation to hang and catch up the dads have fun while the sons babysit them his dad looks forward to it every year and Russell does his best to make him happy because he himself finds it hard to be there for his dad like he should and the guilt from that is something he’s working on fixing

- pennyling tells stories at the library since she’s so good at them she loves it so much and has become a favorite of the children parents often try to hire her for parties and get togethers but she often politely declines because it would put to much on her plate

- minka collects alot of random things she’s gets a little fixated on a thing for a while either because she likes it or thinks she can make art out of it somehow.so she now has alot of random things in general with her for that reason (including her friends fur) “it’s not weird it’s art!” - Minka

- (Touching from the other post) yes vinnie absolutely loves Russell’s body it took him a bit to actually be comfortable with vinnie seeing him in such a vulnerable state but vinnie was very patient and told him he didn’t care how long it took for Russell to do anything in their relationship he was just happy to have someone to give all his love to in fact every chance he gets a hug here, a hug there! here’s vinnie! hugging him ( vinnies used to the quills part at this point)

- sunil speaks Hindi to his parents and Sharukuh but still feels rusty doing it at all he even tried to practice but I tried to get his parents to speak more English for him - side note I do think vinnie can speak Italian because of his mom he just doesn’t use it that often anymore-

- speaking of psycho vinnie he throws an absolute fit if Russell or Sunil have to leave him for a long period of time for any reason crying, screaming, kicking, punching, begging, clinging on for dear life for them to stay he’ll do ANYTHING he can think of ✨side story✨ one time Sunil had a small surgery and vinnie waited for him with so much anxiety when the nurse said that Sunil was able to have visitors vinnie saw his chance and wouldn’t leave him once he made it in the room. He hates hospitals and didn’t like that Sunil was in one. he had to be dragged out kicking and screaming trying to get back in the building. (He did try a few more times to go back but was not successful)

- penny has a hard time seeing leftovers in the fridge because she doesn’t Believe in wasting good food.she is always tempted by them and gets anxious when she sees that they never end up getting eaten.

- sharukuh is super over protective over Sunil he’s also super into cars and learning how to fix them and collecting the ones he thinks are cool. he’s also likes to call vinnie “little buddy”no one knows how it started but vinnie now answers to it. vinnie kinda looks up to him a bit because he does a lot of manly things vinnie wants to learn so naturally

Ok that’s what I have for now I could’ve kept going but it feels so long now haha I hope you like them! Just to clarify I do see them as animals but more ones that act human kinda like in zootopia but they still look like themselves from the show if that makes sense

Other side note sharukuh is not bad to me he does have his own story but he’s not stuck up like in the show he actually met Sunil in college and has been in the group. since him and Sunil do also get together on some of my stories because it’s cute what they have atleast the way I like to see it

Ohh, a big, big number of headcanons is what Leffee likes! And since there's so much delight here to unpack let's start without further ado. And yes, I do have my handy dandy ice coffee with me.

okay, this one is honestly just precious. Can we all just agree that male clothes are more comfortable? Yeah? Good. Plus, it does align with how I imagine Pepper choosing clothes, so yes, basically comfortable T-shirts. I'd imagine she likes Vinnie's the most because they are super stupid, with stupid texts and images and she loves it

look, I- just... *laughs like a dolphin*. So true! She would, wouldn't she? She's on a freaking leash. I honestly don't think she would mind, the not wandering part she would, but not the being on a leash part. Though she would probably be able to escape as soon as whoever is holding that leash is distracted for at least a moment

yup, Vinnie does have a tendency to get lost, doesn't he? I agree. But omg, that solution is just the cutest thing ever! He would see something and start heading into another direction but Russell sees it in time and just quickly catches his hand, like "no". And once he does Vinnie immediately forgets about whatever he was distracted by because he's just this fixated on Russell holding his hand, ep! In fact, his tail starts wagging. Shush, I want a reptile to be able to wag his tail like a dog, is that so wrong ;-;

this is just... yeah, she would feel like it. That also, ironically, humanizes her a bit. Her tendency to care so much about looks I mean. Just adds that extra depth to Zoe. And yes, I absolutely agree that everyone has genuinely tried to convince her that she looks just as great without it. Perhaps Pepper at first was rather teasy about it but seeing how much Zoe actually cares about it she changed her tone completely and was like, "No, Zoe, I really mean it. I'm not kidding this time." On a kinda side note, I do think that at least once the boys had a conversation that went somewhat like this "You know, I sometimes wonder why our girls even wear makeup." "Yeah! I guess they look different wearing it but they look so good without it too." "True, they are all so pretty." In short: they love them and genuinely find them all so pretty. Please, give me that

yeah, I think the "It's a happy, happy, happy world" implanted that headcanon in all of our minds, didn't it? It did in mine at least. Not only that, but I imagine he just needs a lot of sleep to function normally. He's not a morning person (or a mangoose) and neither is he the night owl. He sleep all night long or suffers. And yes, he needs his coffee, I personally see him drinking literally the most bitter shit possible. Not because he likes it all that much, but because it's the only kind of coffee that wakes him up when he's up too early

oh please, this is just too precious. I just find Jerry so endearing, you have no idea how much this headcanon means to me. Also I imagine that Russell's friends just simply adore him as well (I mean, it was kinda shown in the episode so I'm not pulling that out of my ass entirely). In short: yes, great headcanon. okay, yes. As a person who loves having others' items even if they aren't in general anything extraordinary I so understand her. For example, I have this part of a pen of one of my classmates' from highschool and I take it everywhere. It's like my lucky charm or sth. Yes, she definitely has her friends' fur (and scales), tbh I do think they would be fairly easy to incorporate into art. Then again, I do think she's that kind of monkey who would never actually end up using those and just store these items until the end of time. I don't blame her. That way she can have her friends with her wherever she goes :)

yes, exactly, this boy is so full of love. Listen, he might not be a genius but when it comes to his friends, and especially when it really matters, he will do anything for them. Especially for his love interest that is Russell. It doesn't matter to him how Russell looks, it wouldn't matter if he suddenly lost or gained 20 kilograms (44 pounds), lost a limb or had 3rd degree burns, what matters is that it is Russell's body. I don't always make him unhealthily obsessive but in my mind he's always at least a bit obsessed over others, though to a more healthy degree. And about the quills part, I can't help but combine it with my headcanon that due to his constant falling and tripping his pain tolerance is above average, and with getting used to those quills? He's basically physically invulnerable

ok, not much to add here from me, I'll talk about Sharukh more later but for now let's just say I'm happy he's not an asshole in your version :>. But Vinnie? Yup, that sounds good. Did you take that italian part from my rambles? Anyway, yes. The thing is, I imagine his mother (yes, he calls her mother) knew at least a bit of English. He and his sister on the other hand were still very young when arriving to America so they learned the language much easier. With Vinnie being younger he assimilated it so easily in fact he's pretty much bilingual. But due to italian being his native tongue he still finds it a bit more natural. That's also the reason why he sometimes messes up words in English, especially if they sound similar. In short: they all learned it and since they live in mostly english-speaking country now they rarely use Italian anyway. But it does rub Vinnie the wrong way when he does. He can, he just won't. But sometimes when he forgets words in English he will stop for a second, recall the word he needs in Italian, translate it to English and then he can continue, like this: "Man, I could really drink some... uh..." "It's latte in Italian. And latte means..." "...milk!" Sorry, I always end up writing more about him than anything else, I don't even know Italian!

ah yes, Vinnie but he's fucking unhinged... so I guess just the regular Vinnie. Nah, I'm just kidding :3, anyway, yes yes and once again YES! He's best at his worst, I tell ya. It's so cool too, because anything else he can be or appear so chill abou. There's a fire nearby? Meh. He broke his arm? Happened before will happen again. But one of his friends leaving him or being in any sort of danger whether real or imaginery? He falls apart. He won't even try to stop the tears or any other reactions because they are just too strong, he couldn't if he tried. He'll cry, beg, rip his hair out, you said it all. And if everything else fails he'll just cling to that person. And that side story is just perfect. Small surgery? Sure, yeah, it's still a damn surgery in a damn hospital. He's going to panic and he's going to panic hard. He might as well be more stressed than Sunil at this point. He doesn't sleep, he just paces around and due to stress is so impulsive he won't stop at anthing. He has that feral energy, as you said, he kicks and screams, plus all that frustration combined with adrenaline just gives him extra strenght that seems impossible in his puny body and yet. That's sheer determination, desperation and instability. I mean, we've seen him when Sunil wasn't in the daycare for just one day, he ripped that thing to shreds. Two times actually. What do you think he'd do in any sort of similar situation but one that would go on longer? He's my little destruction and I love him

she's just like me fr fr. Well, kinda. But that feeling of anxiety by seeing leftover food? Now that's another good trait for a character that makes them seem more deep and that's always good

now this the moment when I talk about Sharukh more. It's so cool to see him being nice and mingling with our beloved seven pets/humans or whatever else. Him being overprotective over Sunil is actually so wholesome to see, you know, especially after how we see him act in his episode and that whole bunch of headcanons back in the day that made Sharukh Sunil's brother and made him basically bully Sunil. That was genuinely disheartening and made me really dislike this headcanon.

I just imagine the whole group gathering somewhere one day and as soon as Sharukh comes he's like "Hi guys, and hello to you, little buddy." Just juust aaaaa *cries again*. See, Sharukh can be nice and even manly! I like him like that. AND Vinnie looking up to him (literally pfpfpf)? Great, just great headcanon overall

Ahh, that was satisfying, but then again when talking about lps isn't? Yeah lmao, I would love to have even more too but I guess that is enough for one post (I mean, it literally told me I reached some word limit). Not enough in general though :D. I'm always up to see more of your thoughts or headcanons, please, you have no idea how happy they make me, I really want to see more. I won't force you to do anything, but also please, please when you're in the mood and have time and want to, send more, they make me so happy. I don't care how long or short the ask is, I want as much as possible.

Alright, that's an actually interesting take, especially since based on all those human-like actions I thought you were talking about them as if they were humans. Nothing wrong with seeing them still as pets just more human-like! In fact, one of the reasons why I primaly imagine them as people is because they can do more like this, but the way you describe it allows that too so I can't complain. Yes, yes it does make sense, don't worry.

I have already talked about Sharukh but as finishing thoughts I'll add this: as long as he's not an asshole I'm happy to see him too. Plus, he calls Vinnie "little buddy", you have already won me over with that because that is just so cute. Not to mention that it also balances the girls-boys ratio. And he's tall! How could you not like him like that! Maybe I do want to kiss him.

Meet my OG HSS MC: Evie (I had a last name for her once but I'm considering changing it, so I'm not going to be including it until I have one I can commit to lol)

Redesign: As you can see, I gave her glasses and a more masc bodytype as that's how I headcanon her. She's a very butch/GNC jock girl and proud.

Personality: Fun-loving but also no-nonsense. Tough but also sweet. Will lift up Aiden but also snuggle into his chest. Horny on main but knows her boundaries. Sometimes level-headed, other times impulsive.

Childhood: Evie grew up with her dad Scott in a house in the Bay Area her whole life, until after her freshman year when they moved up north to Cedar Cove. Her mom Rani left when she was very young, barely even a week after she was born. While Rani was pregnant with her she'd realized she was not up to being a mother. Scott wanted to be a father however, so the two figured it was best to divorce on amicable terms due to their conflict of interests. Rani was still okay with carrying Evie to term for Scott, though Scott had assured her it was okay if she wasn't. Evie never felt resentment for either of them over this, but knowing how her mom was like has made her think about "what could have been" if she'd stayed with Scott.

Pride: Not sure if this means "things about herself that she's proud of" or "queer pride" lol. I'm gonna assume the latter. Evie is bi with a huge preference for guys. She first realized she wasn't straight around the end of 7th grade and knew for sure she was bi in 9th grade. However there was a lot of confusion for her in figuring this out because of her heavy preference for men, and stigmas that bi women with a male preference "aren't queer enough" or "just looking for attention". In fact she didn't even have her first actual girl-crush until she met Maria. But soon enough she was able to come to terms with the fact that her preference for men doesn't make her any less bi.

Past: Up until her move to Cedar Cove, she's spent her whole life in San Francisco. She's done basketball since she was 4, football since she was in middle school, and only just started baseball when she came to Berry. Her previous schools were very mixed bags in terms of how friendly the communities were and so while she made some friends there, it wasn't nearly as easy as it was at Berry. Her dad receiving a new job offer is what led to their move to Cedar Cove– Evie was not a fan of this at first but did also hope to end up in a better high school environment.

Future: Evie attends University (IDK which one yet) right after graduating Berry and earns a Bachelor's degree. But she does manage to maintain a strong relationship with her boyfriend Aiden, and halfway through her time at Uni, she decides to propose to him. The two get married a year after Evie's Uni graduation, and eventually have a couple of kids. Evie eventually becomes a published fiction author, while doing casual sports and singing + dance competitions with Aiden on the side.

Best Friends: She gets along quite well with most kids but she's probably the closest to: Emma Hawkins, Jade Ali, Caleb Michell, Michael Harrison, Maria Flores, Cher Lee (HSS:CA MC), Sakura Watanabe, Julian Castillo, Cameron Levy, Kieran Hale

Enemies: Brian Crandall, Ashley Farris, Danielle Whats-her-name from HSS:CA, Rodger and Loretta Crandall. She's on a not-buddybuddy-but-still-amicable terms with Zoe, Max, and Kara.

Family: Scott (Dad), Rani (Mom). Other family members yet to be established.

Partner: Aiden Zhou, her high school boyfriend that will eventually become her husband. Later on they do become open to occasionally swinging with Michael and Maria (who become a couple during the HSS:CA timeline).

Pet: Her pet hamster called Cheese Nugget (Cheesy for short) and her pet cat called Daisy

I woke up this morning to more asks than I have ever gotten in one sitting, and it was such a cool surprise so thank you guys!!! This was literally so much fun! All asks & answers are below the cut because I didn’t want to spam the dashboard with my long responses haha.

@mangosimoothie these are all some great questions and thank you for that!!

5. Do they have any tattoos? If so what are they and do they have any special meaning?

Zoe doesn’t have any tattoos yet, but she has always wanted one! She just doesn’t know what she’d get and would be like “It’s got to be perfect if it’s going to be on my body forever!” But Erwin has one very minimalist medium-sized sunset tattoo on his right shoulder blade (kind of like this). He got it on his 18th birthday, it was something he and his sister always wanted to get together!

7. Do they have any unusual fears?

I wouldn’t say they’re unusual fears, but Erwin is very scared of small spaces and Zoe is scared of geese because of a bad run-in she had with a goose on the Kindergarten playground lol.

11. Do they have any addictions?

Zoe doesn’t have any addictions! She’s a meticulous person who is very health-conscious and her mom was a great example who showed her how to set healthy boundaries and limits. Erwin on the other hand is a different story! Erwin smokes cigarettes (something he picked up from his older sister Maggie, it really started as a way to feel closer to her after she went missing and has turned into a stress coping mechanism). Plus, he has an unhealthy dependence on caffeine. The man has been known to go through a pot of coffee all on his own, he doesn’t even care about taste. He’s poured energy drinks in coffee before (gross, I know). He just... doesn’t sleep well.

Even though it was definitely a challenge to choose between my pixel children, I think the Top 5 sims I’ve made are:

The whole Carter family, but especially Caleb. He is truly cathartic for me to play and write.

My version of Alexander Goth (really he’s my son, EA can take Alexander Goth from my cold dead hands, they have never done that boy justice!!)

2. Do they wear perfume/cologne? If so what scents do they prefer?

Erwin doesn’t wear a cologne really unless he’s going out! But Erwin always smells fresh - like a light, clean ivory soap smell mixed with his laundry detergent and a warm mix of light bergamot, jasmine and lemon. Fresh and pleasantly light is literally the only way I can think to describe it ajajksdjkasjgs sorry hope that makes sense! Although he does smoke cigarettes, he never smells overwhelmingly like smoke (it’s just barely present!).

6. If they were badly injured, and for whatever reason couldn't go to a hospital, who would they go to for help?

Erwin is stubborn and kind of a loner, he would probably patch himself up in most circumstance. But he’d have to have a deep bond with someone to let them see him in pain/vulnerable like that!

16. Do they have or want kids?

He does not have kids! As for wanting kids, he’d say no. But really he just doesn’t think he’ll ever have the opportunity to have kids. He doesn’t dislike the idea at all, but definitely isn’t in a place for kids right now! In the future though? He’d be lying if he said he hadn’t thought about that...

Hmmmmm I can’t say for sure. Current Erwin? Probably not, we live very different lives! But future Erwin and I would probably get along very well!

It is not easy to gain Junia’s trust in any way lmao. Friend, romantic partner, work associate... doesn’t matter to her. She keeps things pretty distant and professional across the board. But if you break through? Dear God, she will love you and protect you fiercely.

Erwin likes to take polaroid photos just for personal enjoyment! I wouldn’t say he scrapbooks, but he likes to do a *version* of that by journaling with polaroids...so scrapbooking without the stickers and fun paper lol. He also runs a podcast about spooky stuff like unsolved mysteries, paranormal stories, and conspiracy theories!

12. Do they have any sense of style? Regardless of the answer do they believe they have a sense of style?

He absolutely has a very quirky sense of style, although he would say he just likes to wear stuff that he likes and isn’t intentionally curating a look. His style is vintage casual with an alternative touch - quirky patters, ripped loose jeans, lots of 70s-80s dad tees you’d find in a Goodwill.

33. Do they play ttrpgs? If so what kind of characters do they play? Or are they more likely to GM?

Yes! He hasn’t played since high school, but he loves Dungeons and Dragons. He typically plays as an elf wizard! He would love to be a DM/GM, but he’s never had the time to come up with and execute a campaign of his own creation.

YES! He loves cooking with his mom and his abuela! Cooking is a love language to him, and it’s a way he connects to his culture too. He’s the kind of person that is always offering food and to his friends and loved ones and sees it as a basic act of service - “We’re hanging out at my house, so I should give you a snack - just makes sense!”

4. Do they enjoy baking?

Not as much as cooking, but he does enjoy baking if it’s with Cheryl!

He loves lots of different games, but he would not call himself a #gamer lol. He doesn’t take games so seriously! His sister is much more competitive that him!

She collects snow globes! Whenever she and her mom would go on vacation, she’d get a snow globe from that location as a souvenir.

She is very productive, so she just doesn’t have time to lay around sick. She takes healing very serious - strict regiment of herbal teas, vitamin C supplements, rest, vapor rub (still using the same big pot of Vicks that probably is from the 90s), humidifier, soups, keeps a notepad with her medication rotation schedule...the works!

10. Do they have any regrets?

Nope!

She isn’t fluent in any languages outside of English. She only remembers a few words/phrases from high school French. She also would recognize a few words or phrases in Arabic from knowing Anwar and his family for so long.

Yes, she operates very efficiently under stress (and grief). She needs people to remind her that it’s okay to slow down and just... feel.

I reflected again about how Mailin’s activism is portrayed in the show, and I have a few thoughts on it.

As an activist myself, I’d like to say that we don’t claim Mailin it is nice to see activism portayed in a critical light, as it needs to be, indeed, critized constantly, in order to ensure we make the right things to achieve our goals.

BUT: the way in which Druck portrays Mailin’s activism is problematic as for the message it conveys to the youth.

It has been discussed before, that Mailin is intended to be portrayed as a caricature of herself, representing a conservative’s image of (white) feminism. She is the emodiment of the feminist ‘who screams the loudest and gets heard the most’ (like JK Rowling, as an extreme example). We have seen her activism in no instance being reasonable, effective or respectful towards the groups she is advocating for. She crosses a line constantly, without having any obvious motivation behind that. But it ocurred to me, that this is not the only aspect that makes Mailin’s activism appear so ‘wrong’.

When I saw yesterday’s chat of Mailin with her mom, I noticed that she was emphasizing Mailin being vegeterian. And this is not the first time this was done in the show. Take for example the dinner at Josh’s, where Nora akwardly mentions that Mailin is vegeterian when Finn suggests to make a burger for her. Take her cringy comment on Finns party about him killing animals. Mailin is singled out from the rest of the group, and on top of that not portrayed as ‘competent’ when her eating behavior is discussed. I think that is not only problematic, but also unrealistic. In our generation it is increasingly common, especially for young women, to not eat meat/animal products anymore. And I grew up in a rather small, conservative town. In Berlin, maybe the most cosmopolitan and liberal space in Germany, it is even more common. So if you are telling me Mailin is the only vegetarian in the group... I find it hard to believe that. The other aspect is, that - against common stereotypes - most vegetarians don’t go around and criticize people for eating meat (Instead, it’s actually common that I have been the one being criticized for not eating it, but that’s not the point I want to make here). Eating behavior can be highly personal, and attacking individual people on it, will do barely anything for achieving one’s goal of promoting environmentally friendlier eating style, but rather provoke fights and aggressive-defensive behavior. From an activist point of view, I’d like to add that I see much more responsibility in the food industry, than in individual’s eating behavior, and criticizing the industry may be much more difficult, but also much more effective in terms of results. Anyways... the point i wanted to make, is that Mailin is artificially singled out and ridiculized for her behavior. ACTIVISTS IN REAL LIFE DO NOT BEHAVE LIKE MAILIN!

The season offered potential for actually discussing interesting points, activists, esp. feminists are debating upon, for example: are girls dressing themselves up on social media and dancing sexy and suggestive, a symbol of objectification of women, or are they empowering as women take control over their body and what they are doing with it (I’m referring to Zoe here for those of you who have been living under a rock the past 4 weeks)? How does this change with the dynamics of social media and an increasingly younger audience having access to these images? But these questions, despite being raised, are not really discussed sufficiently (except for maybe here on Tumblr lol).

Mailin’s activism is not presented as one possible form/nuance of activism, it is portrayed as entirely wrong and ineffective, and that is not what I would like a young audience to see in state-funded media. I’d like to see activism like it was portrayed in Druck S1 - 4, where a lot of characters engaged in different kinds of activism (with Mia and Kiki not eating meat, Amira raising questions about Islamophobia in Germany, everyone advocating for trans rights when David was in a difficult situation, or does anyone remember Jonas’ prologue in S1 E1? I think that was brilliant!).

Portraying activism like it is shown in season 8 bears the danger of telling teens that engaging in activism can be wrong and dangerous. It discourages the youth from being activists. And that is the wrong message, especially considering all of the world’s problems right now.

Mmmmm. Okay. So I just finished the movie. I’m fatigued as always so this’ll be a bit of a mess lol. Gotta spew the thoughts while they’re still fresh, y’all know how it is.

Right out the gate, I definitely want to talk about the things I loved.

The animation was, of course, phenomenal and gorgeous!

Voice acting was incredible as always

We called Nari’s mind control and Douxie trying to reason with her!

Toby’s death... That was a huge curveball. Jim might as well have cut my heart out with Excaliber as he sobbed over his best friend.

Uh.....um....and.....Er...what else........ .___.

..........Alright so.......It’s about to get a bit brutal from here on out as I talk about the things I didn’t like at all. And the really sad thing is, at least to me, the cons far outweigh the pros in this movie. Because I’m actually having difficulty picking out things I enjoyed, they were so few and far between...which really sucks.

So here we go.

Gosh, where to begin... I guess I’ll go ahead and say this : I’m really disappointed. 

Like as I’m here typing this, I’m just thinking, “...That was it? That was the movie?? The big finale???”

So much of this movie just felt....unnecessary. I hate to say almost like filler. The entire intro re-caping the series really wasn’t needed. And then Toby went and restated it all again when he was being interrogated. The pacing, oh my gosh...Guys, the pacing in this movie was not good. The action started and it never seemed to stop. There wasn’t a single moment of rest, of levity, of our characters just being themselves, getting to know each other, being friends outside of the battle. No Reckless Club Segment. No fun, just... I mean Claire and Aja didn’t speak to each other at all. Douxie and Toby hardly interacted. Steve was turned into a gross male pregnancy joke. Jim and Krel barely spoke. Douxie and Aja had nothing to say to each other. Even Aja and Krel didn’t have any moments together. The list goes on. The whole movie was just go, go, go. And it’s so frustrating because there was time for it but it was poorly executed.

Like was the whole break-in to the Chinese Trollmarket really necessary?? Guys, I really found myself not caring. I didn’t care to see this random side quest involving an insignificant new troll character and a Trollmarket that had little to no bearing on the plot. Did I love seeing Charlie, Archie, Blinky, and Claire? Of course! But these scenes were so pointless. So needless. They could’ve written other ways for all our heroes to go after the chronosphere (Maybe we could’ve had Zoe for crying out loud). But instead this vital artifact was the hands of a character we don’t know and don’t care about in a place that turned out to have basically nothing to do with anything.

Deaths. The deaths in this movie. Because of the pacing in this movie, there wasn’t nearly enough time for the emotional impacts to sink in. Nomura? Gone and the only ones mourning her are Aaarrgh and Douxie, who barely knew her. Walter’s death was handled better since we got to see Jim and Barbara actually having a moment to mourn him. The weight of Nari’s death was singlehandedly carried by Douxie, but even that was over before it started. The immense gravity of Toby’s death, which really got to me, was also short-lived to make way for an ending that...I don’t know. 

ALSO DOUXIE JUST??? BEING OKAY WITH HIS FAMILIAR, THE ONE WHO RAISED HIM AND WENT THROUGH SO MUCH WITH HIM FOR CENTURIES, LEAVING HIM FOREVER TO BE TRAPPED IN THAT DUMB TROLLMARKET WITH CHARLIE LIKE???

“I hope he’s happy.”

WHAT. THE. EVERLASTING. FRICK. 

Douxie’s reaction objectively doesn’t make a shred of sense. Geez, it’s almost like Douxie was expecting Archie to up and leave him someday to be with Charlegmane. Just...what???

What also frustrates me so much is how this movie undid so much characterization and development that happened in Wizards. Or more like all that development didn’t even matter.

What was the point of Steve’s arc in Wizards if he was just going to be reduced to...this?

I was so excited to see Douxie really being a Master Wizard. To see him lead the Guardians of Arcadia alongside Jim. To see him in action as Successor to Merlin and Protector of this Realm.

But no.

Douxie, who had such an incredible arc in Wizards and a character who’s come to mean so much to me in my life, was nerfed and sidelined.

And then time restarts and I can’t help but wonder why any of this mattered at all. What the heck was the freaking point of the suffering, the loss, the pain, the growth, enduring and overcoming so much, the friendships and family spanning across three shows... All gone. Starting all over. Undoing everything, except what Jim went through. As much as I love Jim, I didn’t think he’d be the only character I’d be getting closure for at the grand finale of this entire franchise. But that’s what happened and I really hate it.

Just...all in all, this movie wasn’t satisfying. Not to me. It had its good moments. But not nearly enough. The comedy was misplaced and fell flat. The climax was sorely anticlimactic and didn’t hold a candle to Eternal Knight. The writing, the direction, characterization...For some reason it was all lost and confused and none of it felt right and so much didn’t make sense.

I’m not at all upset with the writers, though, because they still pulled through and did what they could. When the movie did something right, it was beautiful. The things I loved about it I truly adored. No, I’m not upset in the least bit with any of the creative team.

I’m upset with Netflix. I’m upset that Wizards was robbed of the seasons it should’ve had. I’m upset with big cooperations stifling creators. I’m upset that this’ll be it. This is the ending we got and nothing can be done about it.

Aaron did say there’s every possibility for the franchise to continue in some capacity, and I’m hoping for that someday. Because so much, too much, has been left unanswered. So much left to be explored that couldn’t. But until then....I guess this is it. This is what we get.

Now, I want to remind everyone that this is my own personal experience with the movie. These are all my opinions. If you enjoyed every second the movie, that’s wonderful! And who knows how my thoughts will change upon another viewing. But in the meantime, Rise of the Titans really missed the mark for me. I wanted found family badassery and fluff. But nope. Just fighting and heaviness and no payoff. It’s such a letdown...a real shame. 

But yeah...Thanks to any and everyone who read to the end of this haha

I still love Tales of Arcadia. It’s a series that has blessed and inspired me so much as an artist, writer, and as a person in general. I do want to keep making ToA content for a while. Cause this movie isn’t the end. Not my ending, at least.

I’ll continue to hope for more Tales of Arcadia in the future (a Douxie spin-off series please Lord pleaaase). We shall see. Until then, fics and fanart fixing this mess galore haha

Okay, Levi as a car racer and Hange as those model girls you know who raises the flags(idk anyways i hope u get what i mean lol).. Levi sees her for the first time and almost forgets that he has to start. When he wins the race he makes sure to speak to a certain brunette and definitely snatch a date from her. What are your headcanons!!!!???!!!!

levi as a cool racer guy who is always super level-headed and wins every race. he's composed and calm no matter what happens during the race. that is until he meets hange zoe, and all of his composure flies out of the window

he loses for the first time when he first saw her, because his eyes kept darting towards her and, as a result, he couldn't concentrate on the road

obviously, he couldn't just come and introduce himself after that humiliation

the defeat is even more embarrassing because levi lost to zeke, his main rival

levi sees zeke flirting with hange, and swears to win the next race. then he'll ask hange out on a date

the next race rolls around, hange is there. but this time, she's wearing shorts

levi loses again

"third time is a charm," he thinks and he's right. he does win

but hange isn't there to witness his triumph

he has to work during the next race, and when erwin invites him over for tea and tells that zeke has won, levi almost breaks his cup

"maybe, the two of you just aren't meant to be," erwin says

but levi doesn't give up so easily. he swore to ask that four-eyes out. and he'll do it even if that's the last thing he does

hange approaches him during his preparation for the next race. she smiles, wishes him good luck and kisses him on a cheek

levi freezes for a solid minute. he snaps out of it only when erwin starts laughing

now he's even more determine to win

and, finally, he does

he all but runs to hange, ready to finally ask her out

but when hange turns to look at him, levi's brain short circuits

for a long moment, he just stares at her, his mouth opening and closing without any sound coming out

somewhere behind him erwin starts laughing again, and levi pulls himself together. he has been waiting so long to do this, he won the race, now all he has to do is to ask that damn question

so he takes a deep breath, looks hange in the eyes.....

and embarrasses himself in front of her

he stutters, he fidgets, he avoids the eye contact

"if you don't have anything better to do... there is this cafe nearby... we can go together... if you want to, that's it"

hange saves the remnants of his dignity by shouting "i thought you'd never ask! of course, i want! let's go!"

Author’s Note: this is a shorter part but it has the meat in it lol. I’m getting to the end of this game already! Ethan dude. Ethan.

Summary: Going through Lucas’s party, fighting Jack and having to pick between Zoe and Mia.

I don’t own these characters. They belong to author/director/creator. Some of these lines are directly from the game so they may sound familiar.

You and Ethan didn’t talk about the kiss. You walked through the house, finding the last two key cards and watching another tape in relative silence. It wasn’t that the silence was bad. It was actually very comfortable. You laughed at each other like school children. He teased you like the two of you had been married for years.

You may be in a nightmare of a situation but at least you were in it together.

Ethan put the blue keycard in and you put the red one in. It opened up the door that was to the left of the trailer. You pushed it open.

“Are you ready for a party?” he asked. You scoffed.

“You’ve never seen me at a party Winters. It is an event,” you said smiling. He rolled his eyes and walked inside, holding his gun up. He looked around quietly, walking up the stairs. In neon splattering letters it read ‘Let’s Play’. “I’m sick of this guy already,” you muttered.

“I’m sick of this situation.” You pushed open the door inside and there was a chair and a TV hooked up.

“Is this another video? Because if I wanted to watch a movie I would have stayed home.” Ethan sat down on the chair. You stood behind him but he patted the arm of the chair. You rolled your eyes and sat down beside him. You pushed the VHS tape in.

Lucas showed up. He looked gross. He set up the camera and waved at the camera.

“Ethan! Oooo and pretty Y/N! Hold on, hold on, I got something to show you.” He showed the D-series head over the camera. Damn thing was too much trouble for what it was worth. “You know what Zoe wants with this? She thinks it's special! No Ethan that ain’t special. This is special.” He was shaking as he raised his hand in front of the camera and took a fingernail off with pliers. You winced. “You see, not everyone wants to turn back the clock! What? What Eveline? I’m just trying to show him!” You rolled your eyes and stood up. He said some more stuff but the gist of it was that he had the head. The TV blew up, knocking Ethan back. He scrambled up and brushed off his clothing.

“You’re right. He is a dick.”

You gestured to the door.

“It is time to get this over with.”

“I cannot agree more.”

You made your way through the booby traps that Lucas had set out for the two of you. You were sick and tired of his games. When you arrived at the key code, you were ready to kill the guy with your bare hands but no, he made you look around for the code and then return with it.

It was the same room you had seen on the tape, which meant you knew how to do it. Jokes on Lucas.

You dropped off all of your weapons and went inside. It was a dimly lit room. You grabbed Ethan’s hand, knowing that Lucas was watching. You came up close to him, whispering into his ear.

“You remember the pass code?” you asked.

“Yes I do and I do not want it carved in my arm,” he muttered. You nodded and patted his back.

“Go on.”

He walked forward and lit the candle that was there with the stove. He burned the rope to the door and walked inside, putting in the code. Loser. With the wheel he was able to go back around to the cake, you turned off the water and he went through, placing the candle on the cake perfectly.

“Motherfucker!” Lucas yelled over the intercom. “You were supposed to die!” Suddenly a stick of dynamite was tossed into the room. You ran over and picked it up, throwing it through the wall. Ethan pulled you back and practically shielded you with his body in order to make sure the blast didn’t get to you.

The wall blew, revealing a pathway.

“Fuck you Lucas!” you yelled. You walked through the bits of fire and came to a chair that was still spinning. You scoffed. “That was easy.”

“Well we make quite a team.” Ethan opened up the case that was on the table and revealed the D-series head. You refrained from pumping your fist in the air.

“We do don’t we? Look at us. We’ve both lived this far. We killed Jack and Marguerite. Lucas ran in fear. We’re going to get out of here,” you whispered.

“Don’t jinx us.”

“My bad.” He grabbed your hand and showed you the head. You looked down at it, wondering what it had been when it was alive.

“We did do pretty good.”

“It ain’t over yet Winters,” you muttered. “Let’s get our stuff and go get Zoe and Mia. Then we can leave this damn place.”

He nodded. You turned around, trying to slip your hand away from him. Instead of that he moved you around smoothly, kissing you. He pulled away gently, causing you to still reach forward for his touch.

“Calm down,” he muttered. “Or you’re gonna get us killed when we’re this close.”

“Alright, alright.” You turned around, breathing evenly again. “Is this better? Are you happy?” Ethan nodded and gestured for you to go back to where you had both left your things.

You walked across some confusing docks before making it to a larger house. Some sort of boat house or something.

“What’s the first thing you’re going to do when you get out of here?” he asked, opening up the door.

“Nap. For seven years. Don’t wake me.”

“I’ll try my best.”

Tied to a window and pillar, Zoe and Mia sat on the ground looking weak. You walked up to Mia who looked up at you. You tried to hide your disdain as you knelt down and cut the rope off of her.

“Zoe-” Ethan started.

“Not now. We don’t have time. Do you have both ingredients?” You nodded and Ethan cut her out. You handed her the arm while Ethan handed her the head. “Good. There’s enough for two.” She turned around and knelt down, mixing it together.

“So after you make the serum, what’s next?” Ethan asked.

“There’s a boat outside. We’ll take it through the swamp. But neither of us will get very far without the serum.” Ethan took them both from her. She started to protest but suddenly something crashed from behind you.

A large black goop monster crawled through the walls.

“Zoe, get back to the house!” it said in a distorted voice. “I will deal with them!”

“Jack!” you yelled. You cocked your shotgun. “If I have to fight you one more time I will cut each of your limbs to pieces!” you yelled, walking up to him. Ethan admired your readiness as he scrambled to hide the serum before following you.

At this point, fighting Jack was somewhat of a habit. You and Ethan shot at his weak points, going around in circles to make sure he would stay dead. He collapsed to the ground but you weren’t about to let that stop you.

You held your gun up to him as you started to back away. Ethan watched as the mold made Jack picked stirred alive and picked you up, making you scream.

“Come on little girl! You’ll never be her mommy!” he screamed. You fumbled for your gun but before you could get there Jack started to shake. He dropped you. Ethan was standing to your side, an empty vial of serum in his hand.

“What did you do?” you breathed.

“What I had to do in order to save you,” he said. Your eyes went wide but Zoe broke your thoughts.

“Are you two alright?” Ethan nodded, walking up to you. “Come on. Mia’s waiting for us.”

You stumbled out onto the dock. Your fatigue was getting to you. Your shoulder throbbed. You weren’t doing good. Ethan didn’t look much better. Ethan and you leaned against each other as you walked onto the dock. Mia waited by the boat. The night was still dark but the air by the water was fresher. You were really thirsty.

“I had to use one of them. There’s only one left,” Ethan explained. Mia turned around quickly. She walked up to the two of you, looking at the lone vial in Ethan’s hands.

“There’s only one left? There can’t be just one left. What the hell are we gonna do now?” Mia looked shaken. She and Zoe stood next to each other and between them was only one vial and Ethan had it. You crossed your arms over your chest.

Ethan looked over at you. You shrugged a bit and he walked away from Mia and Zoe up to you. The vial was between you.

The question hung in the air. You almost had a whole conversation without saying anything. You both knew it. On one hand, Mia was his wife and your friend. You may wanna fight her but you didn’t want her dead. You barely knew Zoe. But Zoe knew the way out. You grabbed the vial from his hand. He looked grateful.

You walked over to Zoe and injected her with the serum.

Mia gasped.

“I’m sorry Mia it’s just Zoe knows the way out,” Ethan said quickly. “She can guide us to safety.” Mia shook her head.

“You’re my husband...my best friend!” She pursed her lips. “I’m staying here.”

“Don’t be ridiculous,” you said.

“My place is here. With her,” Mia said, backing away. Zoe got in the boat. You followed her. Ethan lingered for a moment and then got in beside you.

“We’ll be back for you,” he said.

The boat zoomed away, leaving Mia back in the darkness. You felt bad. But you had to believe you could come back for her, that you could save her later. Zoe looked grateful. Ethan steered the boat away. You took a deep breath and watched his face. He looked calm. Conflicted. All of the above.

I have been watching the series Black•ish on Disney+ and as I’m almost coming to the end of the series 🥲, I feel like I’ve connected to the characters in such an intimate way that I can now make generalizations about their zodiac signs. Lol.

So, here’s my take on: What zodiac signs are the characters from Black•ish ?

André Johnson - Leo with Taurus rising (or vice versa?)

It couldn’t be more obvious that André is a Leo. In his shadow side he has a big ego, a lot of pride, can be arrogant, needs and expects a lot of admiration, and is mainly driven by said need for getting admired. On his light side, he’s very loyal, especially to his family. I also see Taurus in him because his other drive is success, being successful, having a lot of status, and he has expensive taste. I also think the way he dresses is probably more of a Taurus expression than Leo. He’s a sneakerhead. Wears designer brands etc.

Rainbow ‘Bow’ Johnson - Sagittarius with Capricorn placements

Ok, so, this one was me just totally projecting my friend on the character of Bow Johnson. In one of the last episodes, Bow was sitting in her kitchen with an all white outfit, red lips, and big golden earrings. She was just giving me alllllll the vibes of my friend who is a Sagittarius. Bow is also free spirited, she usually has well-thought out opinions about most things. Although I’m not sure if those opinions are very philosophical. She also enjoys teaching other people, and Sagittarius after all is the teacher of the zodiac. But, on the other hand, to me, she’s a little too competitive and career oriented. That’s why I think she must have important Capricorn placements as well. She’s very ambitious and hard-working. I mean, she is a doctor.

Zoe Johnson - Libra

I didn’t get to know Zoe as much as the other characters. And I haven’t watched Grown*ish yet, so maybe my opinion will change after I do. But, she gives me strong Libra vibes. She was very popular in school. That’s it. That’s the basis of this guess, lol.

André ‘Junior’ Johnson - Cancer with Virgo placements, possibly rising

When we get to know Junior as a child, he’s very smart and nerdy. As children, we emulate our rising sign more than our sun sign. As he matures in the show, he starts being the caretaker of the family. Junior is practically raising his baby brother Devante. He’s also always concerned about how other people are feeling emotionally. He dropped out of college because he didn’t want to leave his home. And, he’s a mama’s boy.

The twins Jack and Diane Johnson - Scorpio with Aquarius moon

Ok, so here’s where it gets hard. Because Jack and Diane are very different as well as kind of the same. Jack is super light hearted, maybe giving me aquarius vibes. While Diane is just straight up evil, lol. She’s also very secretive and loves to be the one in power, so that’s where I’m thinking Scorpio. Jack on the other hand kind of gives his power away to Diane, but that’s still a Scorpio theme. Either wanting to be in power or giving away your power. Jack doesn’t come across as very secretive. They could just have aquarius moons or something as both aren’t very emotional beings. They can act kind of detached plus they have a lot of friends. And they literally call each other friend, it doesn’t get more Aqua than that lol.

Devante Johnson - ?

I literally have no idea about Devante. We barely got to see him. Does anyone remember when he was born? I don’t.

So, what do you think? Also, I’m still not sure about Ruby and Pops. And Charlie??? He also has to have some Aquarius placements, right? Given how eccentric he is. Full of surprises. I think the other characters are a little bit too one-dimensional though to analyze them.
