I heard so many people talk about romanticizing your life and at first it was annoying but then I was eating an apple and it was red and sweet and I was making an effort to conciously and slowly enjoy my apple because that's what my therapist told me to try to be more in the moment and it was the best apple I ever ate. I ate it slow and really payed attention to the sweetness and the sourness and I was sitting outside under some trees and there was a breeze and I thought: This is a perfect moment, and one day I will wish I had the opportunity to sit here and conciously eat this apple and be happy. Anyways. Try making a big deal out of small things.

I feel like im "masculine" but I have fluid presentation. I also don't really like having short hair or a strong jawline. I like being a sort of boyish rather than like a "man". Am I still valid?

Absolutely! "Masculinity" is a spectrum, and it's also personally subjective and culturally relative. My posts tend to focus on the kinds of masculinity I personally relate to, but that doesn't mean anything outside of that is bad!

Also, having short hair and a strong jawline isn't inherently masculine. Apart from the fact that masculinity can be defined wildly differently from person to person-- even more typical understandings of masculinity still allow those things to be "done femininely." Think runway models, pixie cuts, etc. (And vice versa, for having long hair and a softer jaw.)

I've mentioned before that I myself don't totally hate having long hair. While I'm ready to try out having short hair and have a hunch I might like that better, my long hair doesn't always feel particularly feminine to me. It feels more like a mane or something.

Also, your presentation doesn't have to be masculine in order for you to be intramasculine, if that's what you're wondering about. Same way that you could take a typical intramasc mainstraight guy and put him in a dress and give him a pixie cut and he'd still be intramasculine.

i think when we used to point out that a story didn't need a sex scene what we meant was "this story reduces its women to mere sex objects and gives them no interiority so the sex scenes are gratuitous and geared towards the male gaze" it wasn't the sex that bothered us per se it was the objectification of female characters while givig them little to no consequence to the overall story but nowadays people mean "sex is icky and gross and has no merit to ever be portrayed in our arts which should be good and pure and never ever make ME feel discomfort" and it's like. i bet a bowl of unfrosted flakes looks real good to you rn

9) What is your OC’s greatest wish/dream/goals?

Hmmm I don't think I can name a specific goal? At least romance-wise he is very idealistic and likes the idea of having a big happily-ever-after type outcome when he gets together with any partner. Big marriage, a kid or two, all living happily together.

15) Has your OC ever fallen in love before who their intended love interest is, or is the intended love interest their first love?

I think Sam would have had a few fleeting crushes on other classmates and a few celebrities. But Gabe and Cas were his first loves.

I definitely wanna give him a kitty! Maybe his and Terri's pet, and definitely when living with Gabe and Cas. Sam is definitely a cat person imo.

18) What is your OC’s greatest fear?

I have not quite figured that out yet. At the very most I think he does start to freak out and have severe distress if something doesn't go his way, or something seems to stop him from reaching his goals.

From the canon timeline, I think he'd be closest with Seth, Jade, Aiden, and Libby. I don't yet have any hcs for friends outside of that though.

I kinda wanna do ILB, since we did do ILITW! So it seems only right that we do ILB as well even if ILP is also doing a book club for it!

But if we do end up swapping it out, I nominate either Murder At Homecoming or OG HSS!

Our All of Us book club is coming to a close next week, so it's time to start thinking about what's next!

Initially, I had said we were going to do It Lives Beneath in late Sept-November. However, ItLivesProject has mentioned doing a book club for the trilogy this fall, including ILB. I'm willing to have a concurrent book club, but I also don't want to take away from their book club.

So the question is, do you want to have two It Lives book clubs or choose another book this year and maybe do ILB next fall?

This isn't a definitive poll just one to get the conversation started and to see what people are thinking.

Obviously not bc she can't have them in any way (like not even adoption or fostering) due to being a vampire. Which is 1 of her biggest gripes with vampirism..

Jake:

I don't think so, I think he likes the idea but it's 2 much of a hassle to him bc he's gay n he's not rly torn up abt it anyway.

Maybe? I haven't rly thought of his future much, ik tht hypothetical bailey x skye baby I drew for tht one ask game was cute tho and the idea of 2 goth parents with a kid who's like th opposite of tht is rly cute 2 me lol.

Besides blood Ripley loveees spareribs, chicken wings, just any meat u have 2 gnaw off the bone lol.. Ripley loves a lot of different food in general,she's the opposite of picky.. She doesn't like spicy food in general bc her spice tolerance is like non existent. But also she'll still try stuff anyway, she just always regrets it lol. Tteokbokki wld look sooo delicious 2 her n she'd feel so betrayed even tho she was TOLD it was spicy..

Katsu curry is his fave and he haaates seafood (especially raw like in sushi)

Bailey:

Fave food is fried rice and honey garlic chicken, least fave food r green beans and brussels sprouts.

Yess obviously.. Save for tht period where she couldn't be honest with her bc of the vampire shit going on.. But just in general she feels incredibly lucky 2 have her mom n genuinely thinks she's super cool.

Mmmm im not sure, I might replace Scott with a different parent tho. Or just change a Lot abt him at least.

Bailey:

Yeah! I dnt remember tht much of CA mc's parents anymore, but I imagine he's thankful tht they were supportive of him wanting to get in touch with biological family members and learn more abt his bio parents and stuff. I imagine he does have like feelings abt tht like he does wish they'd never died despite having ended up with rly nice adoptive parents and he feels some guilt about that.
