Crushing!ROs reactions' to the first time they see the usually-grungy MC all fancied up??

Rook: He would probably be really casual about it, although might make a passing joke like, "Wow, I've known you for years and I had no idea you even owned anything nice." Inwardly, he would want to admire how you look and the novelty of you being dressed up. He doesn't let himself, though. It might break his whole casual reaction to it.

Beck: He pauses, a small smile flickering across his face. He doesn't hide the look he gives you, his words admiring, "It suits you well." For him, it's more the newness of it that makes him pause, and the way he says it has more the casualness of friendliness.

Rhea: "Oh, you clean up well." Her gaze lingers a moment too long, and she has to force herself to look away when she realizes what she's doing. "Well, shall we?" She walks beside you, doing her best not to steal glances at you, finding herself failing more than she'd liked.

Zoe: They don't register it at first, giving you their typical greeting before they do a double take, "Oh." Any further compliment doesn't make it out their brain, and there's a long pause before it processes, "I mean, you look nice! That was a good oh, I promise, uh--" They duck their head away, cursing themself inwardly at their clumsiness and immediately changing the conversation.

Lars: He doesn't blink or react. Clothes are clothes, and he doesn't really find it changes much about how he sees people. And honestly, even if you did go to a high end event with him dressed like how you usually do I don't think he'd care? And I think he'd lowkey find everyone else's reactions funny if you did LMAO

???: Theirs is a slow gaze, taking you in from top to bottom. The smile on their face is slow and wanting, not hiding anything in their expression, "Making sure the whole world admires you tonight, are you?" There's a lightness to their tone, contrasting against the heaviness of their gaze.

banged Rook (within an inch of their life if Rook the next morning is anything to go on) in a coffin

got up an hour before dawn to exercise.

offers to get Rook breakfast (or possibly went back in the coffin for round 2)

Happy holidays! If you're still doing these types of asks, how would the ROs react to bumping into MC under the mistletoe while in the crush phase?

Rook: He's rolling his eyes and laughing it off. There is no force which would make him take that kiss, and even if there are others joking/teasing him about it, he just shrugs them off. "If you want to kiss someone, just go for it. It's such a goofy tradition." (He says, ignoring the heavy irony of the statement or the feelings he's avoiding.)

Beck: He isn't shy about it. When he glances up and back to you, there is a question in his gaze asking for permission. When you give it, there isn't any hesitation. His hand on your face, guiding you to him, his lips warm against yours. It lasts only a moment, but the genuine feelings wrapped around it traps the two of you in your own little world, and any onlookers comments at bay.

Rhea: She eyes it almost clinically, likely wondering who's the culprit for putting such a thing up in the first place. She's quick to apologize, saying to ignore it. You don't need to do anything you don't want to do, especially under such pretenses. (If you're bold enough to say you want to, she'll let you, though. Trying to keep herself together as she lets you get close).

Zoe: They would run from embarrassment LMAO and apologize immediately after. They've never been affectionate with anyone, and showing affection like that for the first time in public is somehow mortifying. They endlessly apologize, and hope no one made fun of you for their actions. It was just an automatic reaction

Lars: He has the most dry look on his face as his eyes flicker up before going back to you. He doesn't look like he wants to do it, but he doesn't look like he hates the idea either. If anything, he waits for how you'll act (but only for like a minute because it wants to get this over with).

???: They have no idea the significance of such a thing, but when you explain it, you find yourself kissed before you can even finish. It's quick, so quick you would have doubted it happened at all if they didn't still linger just a fraction closer from where they usually do, "Just like this, right?"

i need you all to watch this because i took slightly more wary/incredulous options re: necromancy in my second playthrough and got the single most amazing dialogue in emmrich's romance:

emmrich: there are mysteries past our comprehension. something beyond the weft of magic or deepest fade. emmrich: when i'm fortunate, i spy suggestions of them here. rook: i do find the necropolis exciting��creepy! weird and creepy! emmrich: you astound me, rook. you have a distaste for the dead, the undead and necromancy. and yet... rook: where's this heading? emmrich: there's no shame in a little attraction to the forbidden, my darling. rook: pfft! what? like i want you to throw me over one of those fancy graves with skulls and flowers and floating spirits, and— and... rook: (clears throat) you're lucky i like you. emmrich: undoubtedly.

torn between second-hand embarrassement for rook digging his own grave (no pun intended) vs the hilarity of emmrich's knowing look i'm—
