For Scum Villain fandom specifically I have to say that the deciding factor in whether I adopt a headcanon or not is whether I think it's funny.

Do I think Shen Yuan was ill in his first life? Yes, because I think it's extremely funny if he was ill in his first life, got a brand new life with superpowers (cultivation) and boosted health, and then immediately got slapped with another fucking chronic illness (Without-A-Cure.) I think that is the funniest sequence of events and thus the correct one.

Do I think that Shen Yuan was on the very low end of his twenties, barely college-age, when he transmigrated? Yes, because I think it's hilarious if the rest of the Peak Lords have unknowingly been "shixiong"ing a fuckin sophmore

And lastly, do I think that Shen Jiu never went to the brothels for sex and ultimately died a virgin? Yes, because that sets the stage for SY!SQQ to later trip over some kind of virginity-detecting critter or plant (you KNOW the PIDW setting has to have these somewhere, c'mon), not even knowing that it's something he has to think about avoiding, and whoops getting outed as a virgin in front of the entire cultivation world, and that would be hilarious

also would like to just point out that yes his death was very tragic and obviously everyone will mourn it differently, but none of his past girlfriends, ex-fiancés and family members deserve any hate towards them. he was a grown man who made some choices and let’s not forget he was abusive towards his relationships, so yes completely and totally fine to mourn him, but also acknowledge what this means to different people like everyone is going to take this news differently and it’s just an odd day in general so don’t be an asshole is what I’m trying to get at if that makes sense

One thing that is difficult about writing historical fiction is when you’ve set your story up in the same time frame as major historical events, which you KNOW would be on your characters’ radar yet they don’t impact the plot. What is too much? What is too little?

i did not make the post complaining about datv plot that i wanted to when i finished the game but one of the bullet points on it was 'where is the reckoning to shake the heavens that flemeth promised? we lost kate mulgrew for this?' which is a bullet point that might make one realize that one's complaints are very niche and specific and thats not what people look for in 10-year-later sequels and you nix the whole post

and then almost two weeks later d*vid g*ider makes a post about flemeth & morrigan & how they were always so fundamental to dragon age [which he begins by calling himself out for older women being his type- i dont want to talk about it] and another about how the scene between morrigan & kieran & flemythal was written and shot for here lies the abyss, morrigan saying she would never be the mother [to kieran] that flemeth was to her 🥺which is STILL the most impactful thing from inquisition

then you see the messy cowardly bullshit fucking story we got in veilguard, the way that mythal's fragment is in there ultimately to absolve this man for killing her, and morrigan is only there as her mouthpiece and the only way to convince this man that he needs to stop is if people tell him 'its okay man' because thats our priority right. making him feel better. fuck the dwarves dreams and the blight and the-

Dude I can’t express how much the qsmp already means to so many people and how important it is to specifically bilingual people and those who enjoy learning about different languages and cultures

As a bilingual person that has been in the minecraft space for a while now you never expect your two worlds to collide like that it even sometimes feels like they are two completely separate things (kind of like you almost have to choose between those two sometimes)

So seeing all these Tweets/Posts of people who are expressing so much joy about the fact that they see their favorite creators who previously didn’t interact with each other suddenly becoming buddies makes me incredibly emotional and so so happy

I hope Quackity knows how much of an impact that server has already made/will continue to make across the board

Before I started watching house I figured that people not liking Cameron was mostly misogyny. Now that I've watched a couple seasons I still think there's some truth to that but I don't think it's entirely the fault of the audience

Edit 5/8/23: It has come to my attention that the person who made these comments has been going to multiple warrior cats fanfic writers to request fics, in a similar vain to what he was doing here. Specifically, they seem to be fetish related stories. When a fic writer does not want to fulfill his request, he insults them, usually calling them a cur (lmao. lol)

I have reason to believe this person is @ville234 here on tumblr (although he may be using different blogs by now). A few months back he was sending asks and dms to writers, requesting fetish fics related to bondage and inappropriate pairings. He was called out for it. Another reason I suspect this is the same person is because of his blog header, multifandomfanatic95, which is exactly the same as the username for the ao3 commenter, except the numbers are different. Everyone please be wary of this person, at the very least on Archiveofourown. Minors should be especially careful because of the inappropriate content he asks for. I'm not asking for a witch hunt against him. Just that if he interacts with you, you report and block him.

My hyperfixations have led to, well, extreme fixations that last for long periods of time. As expected. To the point where it's clearly an obsession that becomes the only thing I talk about for awhile. It happened with Diana and LWA. It happened with certain girls in Revue Starlight. Hippolyta, Psyche, Mikoto too. But at least these were happy interesting fixations. Then, once the series or whatever ends—or if I'm waiting awhile for the next canon update—the only thing keeping my interest afloat are fan content.

Can't say the same about Morgan and LB6. I'm so completely unwell after crawling out of the sludge of tragedy known as LB6. The chapter may have come to a close but boy am I still clawing at my heart—with or without fan content to fuel my insanity.
