Since Heartslabyul is based on Alice in Wonderland, I thought it’d fit for everyone to look super unique in some aspect!! Ace is the only one that wears a varisty jacket, Deuce has the most piercings, Trey has a bunch of different glasses, and Cater has the most accessories !! And Riddle….. hes Riddle idk /j

Riddle: He is a pretty boy and no one can convince me otherwise. I didn’t add it but i imagine hes rather pale, and gets embarrasingly red in the heat. Has the most beautiful purple-blue eyes and almost looks like a doll honestly. Slight, reddish freckles if u look hard enough lol (I also hc that he gets a white streak of hair after Book 6, but I forgot to add it 😭)

Ace: I didn’t add it, but I imagine he wears a varsity jacket instead of the school blazer!! The thought of him looking like a typical disney show bully was just too funny to me. Much messier / fluffier hair, and has such long, dark lashes that it makes every girl he’s ever known jealous. He knows it too, and hes an ass about it, will flutter his lashes whenever someone mentions it. Had stud piercings because yes !!! (Regarding the varsity jacket, I’ll draw how I think it looks some time :3)

Deuce: Slightly longer hair, but he tries his best to keep it neat. Has alot of ear piercings, but he tries to cover it up with his hair 😭. Super pretty bottom lashes , and a nice beauty mark underneath his eye. Has really pretty lips :3 He tries to wear both his nrc and dorm uniform as correctly as possible (struggles to tie a tie and has to redo it like 50 times) (<- His tie still ends up a lil wonky lol)

Trey: I will be honest, I struggled alot with him 😭. Couldn’t think of anything major, but I thought it’d be nice to give him colorful glasses teehee. I would’ve done something better with that but I couldn’t find any good refs 😭, but i imagine he has a lot of cool looking glasses he just switches up cuz why not its silly and i like it HEHE. I added two little beauty marks on him too, as well as some gold ear piercings. One being a lil hoop like Cater’s :33. Idk if its noticable but I made his shoulders broader too!! That man is built no one can convince me otherwise baking weirdly has a lot of arm strength involved 😭

Edit: I imagine him to have a bunch of glasses like these!!!

Cater: Fashion KING. He LOOVES to accessorize. Rings, bracelets, necklaces, you name it !! I added some lil chain thingys on his tie too :3 Slightly longer blazer, and oversized pants. I gave him lip piercings just because it looked cool tbh HAHAHA, messier hair and two beauty marks under his eye to match Trey !! <3 He has painted nails, and I also gave him a hair clamp that makes his lil ponytail into the shape of a diamond if you look at him from behind. Customizes his uniforms as much as possible, the opposite of Deuce LMAOO

listen I might sound crazy but you know how Aventurine would spend all of his money on his family were they alive? like they grew up poor- worse than poor, and he is always gambling yes- but he is also insanely rich. you just know he'd shower them in money and buy everything for them and that credits today have little to no meaning to him because he has gotten them too late. it wasn't "fast enough" to save them, to ease their lives. and you just know he regrets it, but still hoards more credits, gambling, earning, wasting, etc.

now allow me to draw a parallel to a character in gi most of the fandom doesn't like. dori. LET ME SPEAK- dori's sister died (in her arms) from an illness because her family didn't have enough money to buy the herbs prescribed for her sister's treatment and that is why Dori ends up cherishing every mora/money, turns in a mora hungry capitalist powerhouse and makes everything about her; just money. because she couldn't help her sibling when it mattered. also the "limitless mora" for her comes from receiving a bunch of items from Alice (Klee's mom) - they made a business deal, etc, just a detail.

and it is interesting how most of the fandom dislikes dori so much (meta wise I get it, and also some other povs), when the parallel to aventurine is a straight line and he is loved and liked by so many (granted, I love riney). no amount of mora/credits can bring their family member(s) back or fix what happened, yet they stay in it, hoarding more, be it due to our boy's luck, or Dori's deal and persistence. I know many ppl draw his line to Kaveh, but from this pov it is screaming Dori.

and yh his story is more tragic- but we are talking money rn ppl- stay focused;

here is where their characters differ in the money area. with how little regard he has towards the money, Aventurine, our Kakavasha is so kind, so so kind. he gives out freely, he doesn't give two shits while sending money to the TB (it is worth mentioning that he thinks he also HAS to do it, and that gifts and things of high material value are most appreciated, ex. the gifts the TB receives after become the captain of the ship in penacony. he sadly has a view of it that everyone needs to be given something in return, truly struggling with forming real friendships/relationships except with the TB and Ratio- which I'd love to go more into on another analysis), he openly shares his money to whomever- and in his contrast, dori would probably rather jump off a cliff than give a single gold mora coin to... well, anyone.

both have been through such tragedy and turned rich later on through various means- when it technically no longer matters to them as much as it could've mattered before- and to see one be indifferent towards it/see it as a means to an end & what ppl respond well to vs. the other be stingy to the point she is hurting people while doing it and purposefully putting them in debt (I hate you for what you did to Kaveh TWICE, dori.), makes a really interesting parallel made by hoyo ngl. thoughts?

hi! i'm new to comics and i got in through reading your fics and wayne family adventures. i've since started reading more of the mainstream verse and i realized that most comic fans consider wfa to be totally fanon. you're one of the few i saw that disagrees. would you mind elaborating a lil on why? i'm too new to really form an opinion either way but i'd like to know your's!

So I think it's really important to be clear on definitions here:

Canon means it's part of an official text. It's literally in a comic (or book or movie or other property) published or licensed by DC.

Fanon means it's made up by fans. That doesn't mean bad or good, it just means that it comes from fandom and is not part of the official text.

Wayne Family Adventures is an official licensed comic by DC, so by definition, it cannot be fanon. That doesn't mean everyone has to like it, but it's not a fan comic. It's an official DC product. It's not fanon.

Now, WFA isn't part of the main DCU canon. It takes place in a separate universe. The Jason in Batman #138 and the Jason in WFA are not the same and they are having very different experiences. (And I'm sure the Jason in WFA would be grateful if he knew.)

But that's no different than a comic that takes place in an alternate universe, like Dark Knights of Steel or DCeased, or a movie like Blue Beetle or a show like My Adventures with Superman. They all take place in their own universes, but all of those universes are canon. None of them are fanon.

What I think most people mean when they say WFA is fanon is that WFA draws on tropes and characterizations that are popular in fandom. Which...yes, absolutely. This is on purpose, and honestly, it pisses me off when people complain about it. (Not you, anon! Your question was lovely, you just triggered my unskippable cut scene of dialogue. Sorry lol.)

Wayne Family Adventures is probably the single best idea DC has had in the 20 years I've been reading comics. (The second best was the kids and YA graphic novel lines.)

I just checked, and WFA has 1.3 MILLION subscribers. That's more than every floppy comic starring Batman sells in a month, combined. It's more than literally any superhero comic has sold in decades - in this century! The combined strips have over A HUNDRED MILLION VIEWS. That is bonkerstown. That is a readership like DC hasn't seen since the 1970s. That is unparalleled success, and it's introducing characters like Kate Kane and Duke Thomas to a whole new audience.

Now, WFA was clearly designed to appeal to Batfans who were active on social media and fanfic sites like AO3 and Wattpad, and Webtoon readers. The readership of Webtoon is mostly young and female. Fandom as a whole is mostly female. The writer of WFA is female.

And maybe I'm not being fair here, but when I see people dismiss WFA as "just fanon," I always catch a whiff of "It's not a real Batman comic. It's a girl comic for girls."

I have spent the past 20 years begging DC (and Marvel, DC is not alone in this) to see women as a viable audience - as their largest potential growth audience! I have watched in dumbfounded frustration as they ignored the juggernaut success of Raina Telgemeier and Ngozi Ukazu and Alice Oseman running rings around the NY Times bestseller list and counted a 50k shipment here and there as a resounding triumph. I have literally seen them throw out survey responses from women because "those women had an agenda." (This is a true story. 2011 was rough, y'all.)

And all of a sudden, they gave us a comic actually catering to women and young people and fandom, and they put it on the most popular, current, modern platform for comics availably - and it's brilliant. It's smart and funny and stunningly drawn and every episode makes clever, inventive use of the scrolling format. They FINALLY gave us a girl comic for girls, and it's a masterpiece.

And yes, it riffs on fanon concepts. It also has its roots firmly in mainstream DCU canon. It references deep cuts. CRC Payne and StarBite know their shit. Jason Todd being a bookworm may be a fanon staple, but he does plenty of reading - including Jane Austen - in the 100% canon mainstream DCU comics.

It's not going to be for everything, because nothing is. It's completely fine if you don't like WFA. No one has to read it or enjoy it. If you're into Batman for the darkness and the crime and the ongoing plotlines and the angst, WFA won't be for you, and that's totally fine!

But to finally, finally be valued as a reader by DC, to have them do something smart and innovative and so, so well executed, and have the exact people they made it for dismiss it out of hand because Bruce has a "World's Okayest Dad" mug or whatever? Yeah, that chafes.

I have had SO many questions since I started watching Agatha all along!

I really wanted to know more about witches, about the lore of this universe, like:

Do witches celebrate sabbats (Yule, Imbolc, Ostara, Beltane, Litha, Lammas, Mabon, Samhain)?

Or is this something we, human, created? And more importantly, does Agatha celebrate sabbats?

Do witches have familiars?

If so, what are they? Are they animals chosen for some reason by the witch? Are they beings of nature (I mean, obviously yes, but magically speaking) that chose the witch, or the witch choose them?

Do witches perform rituals like Drawing down the Moon?

I mean, the only covens we saw performing any ritual were Evanora's, with Agatha's failed attempt at execution, and Agatha's own, when they sang the ballad of the Witches' Road.

Was Evanora the High Priestess of Agatha's old Coven, or its founder?

I disagree with this one myself, because a High Priestess is the role of a woman who's leading a group ritual. High Priestess is also a title sometimes conferred on female members of a Wiccan coven when they have completed their third, or fifth year of study and practice. Evanora looks more like the founder of the Coven.

Are grimoires only made by Coven leaders?

I BLAME THE FANFICS FOR THIS! Every time someone writes about the books Agatha used to learn magic, a lot of people mention that she stole her mother's grimoire after killing her coven, and I always wonder: "Couldn't Agatha create her own grimoire?", "Does every witch have a grimoire?", and things like that.

Why does the Witches' Road classify witches in the Ballad?

Agatha, Jen, Lilia and Alice are witches, they all have knowledge of spells, they know how to use magic, but why the hell did the Witches' Road classify them specifically as "Spirit Witch", "Potion Witch", "Divination Witch" and "Protection Witch"? In terms of witches' powers, do they have any specific magical specialization? That's why?

Why can ONLY those types of witches enter the Road?

Who the fuck decided that only these types of witches can enter the Witches' Road? And why? Can't a witch be a potions witch and a divination witch at the same time? Or it's because of what's in the Witches' Road Ballad?

Like, I have questions, and NOBODY ANSWERS THEM! I honestly feel a little lost, but it's really fun to have these questions, because this series is amazing in everything it proposes.

Donald Duck, José Carioca (Zé Carioca) and Panchito Pistoles playing like rock musicians in 1990s outfits - Modern Three Caballeros - The Three Caballeros Month - Schemes and Community - Jose Carioca Week - My version - Tribute to a rock musician

After a long time, I finally made a drawing related to the Three Caballeros, or rather my version of the modern caballeros. I drew Donald Duck, José Zé Carioca and Panchito Pistoles in 1990s outfits playing rock music and playing as a rock band like "Rocky The Three Caballeros". More precisely here they are teenagers and adolescent college students who decided to play for their concert, and together they love rock music (part of my Quack Pack AU). Donald and Panchito play electric guitar and Ze Carioca drums. They love to sing and play rock music with each other and love many rock bands and musicians like Elvis Presley, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, AC/DC, Aerosmith, Metallica, Scorpions, Queen and Fred McQuarrie, Pink Floyd, Alice Cooper, Nirvana, David Bowie, The Doors, Guns N' Roses, Motörhead, Sex Pistols and many other groups. Donald is practicing to be a good singer, but he is not doing very well. They also all wear jeans and backwards baseball caps together to look more cool. Maybe that's why their nephews (Donald's and Jose's nephews) like to wear backwards caps.. ;) Yes, even though it's past I certainly wish Jose Carioca a happy birthday which is celebrated on August 24th and also a happy Brazil day which is celebrated on September 7th. Happy Brazil Day!

In addition, I dedicate this drawing to one of my favorite singers who unfortunately died this week and passed to the other world. Most of you don't know, but it's a rock singer from my country who is the founder of the group "Riblja čorba" (Fish Soup) and was one of the best Yugoslav rock groups of that time. Yes, his name is Bora Đorđević and I can only say thank you for his songs that I loved to enjoy and sing. After being told by the rabbit to go get his gloves or else he was going to be late (for what? Bex still didn't know), Bex made her way through the house into the rabbit's room. She still didn't understand why or how he would mistake her as someone named 'Mary-Ann', but nonetheless, if she could find these gloves, she could maybe ask the rabbit where he was off to. Upon walking in she noticed a small dish on a vanity table that had little cookies in it. Bex took one for herself, "Oh, don't mind if I do, I don't think he'll mind if I take one." Bex said. But once she got to the drawer with the rabbit's gloves, her head had hit the ceiling with a squeak sound and she's stuck in the rabbit's house.

A DOUBLE POST WHAT???? YES INDEED- and they're both Wonderland related- WHAT ARE THE ODDS????? Very likely actually considering I don't ever shut up about Alice in Wonderland. (I'm pretty sure I did rant about it and how darker takes to a friend last night for about 30 minutes or something HAH.) I care a lot about the funny Wonderland story more than I should probably. But eh it's fiiiiiiine. Back to this art- for once it actually isn't based on a frame from the 1951 film but is INSTEAD a redraw of the Tenniel illustrations present in the original Alice's Adventures in Wonderland novel! I figured it would more of a fun challenge to undertake since I've been trying to push myself to draw more interesting poses as of recent. Of course I know when there's a limit to my artstyle and what I can and can't draw, but I'm still doing these to at least find some way to draw them in my own way. (And also a way to know how to do this scene if I ever get the chance to make Bex in Wonderland a real animated short.) This was a lot more fun than I thought it would be- out of all the scenes I didn't exactly know how I was going to approach this one cuz of the scaling and all that. But hey I somehow did it! Speaking of Alice in Wonderland I might go rewatch the film again. Been wanting to watch something a bit whimsical again recently.

Travel Blog - Connichi 2024 - Part 3

Convention Saturday or: Positive and Negative Surprises

Saturday was a rollercoaster for me, this blog entry is ... truly a lot.

There is a lot of personal talk in this but also lots of photos of meet ups, photoshoots and an adorable engagement we were allowed to partake in.

After a nice Breakfast we first went to buy an umbrella for me as the sun was supposed to be shining all day long and I am sensitive to brightness (heat is bad yes but the bright light ... I'm getting overstimulated by it easily).

I got asked for photos by civilians and it really made my day, I made children smile by gifting them ballons and despite the weather (bright af and 30°C+) it seemed to be a good day. We started by some photos.

And then went inside to meet friends, check some things out before it became to full. And we went to the cosplay repair as some more seams of my collar came loose.. I didn't see some of them though, but alright. I fixed them after the convention.

I met some more D.Gray-man Cosplayer along the way and as you know me I make this tiny game in which I aim to find as many as I can.

But to be honest I was miffed by some arrangements regarding that day and was not that keen to meet some people, I am ... weird sometimes.

I still decided to visit the "base camp" after calming down a bit from the brightness which always leads to me turning into a little Chihuahua in those regards.

We were a quite huge group and taking photos was kinda ... hard. Especially with two cameras. Alice and Mika had the same issue .. low energy that's why they didn't join us for the other group photo. I felt my energy was at a lower point and walked a few rounds without anybody to kinda recharge but ... eh. I felt it was not the best day for me, despite the fact this was supposed to be my 'main' day with my dream cosplay and all.

But an absolute adorable highlight was what happened during the group photosession...

In which Cake asked Yuna to marry her, this was downright such a beautiful moment, I had to include it here. Look at this wonderful couple, I wish you ALL the best!

We then kinda scattered and some took a few photos together. I did with Anbu (Grave of Maria) and Nagi (Mana), I will post them later on.

After that we took another small shopping trip in the vendor's hall. I got a new bamboo plate and 3 blind box figure.

Then Alu and I went for Ice Cream as it was about time to get some more food into me, knowing I kinda was on the edge of snapping and as we went for Bubble Tea and the flavor I wanted (rip milk tea) was sold out I ... did. It took a lot for me to calm down, this was overdue with the overstimulation all day long. I kinda was possible for me to come down with some relaxation techniques.

We then went to check on Loki (Cross from Friday) as she felt awful that morning and I told her to check on her. I was worried. In hinsight I wish I didn't insist on doing that as ...

I got told to leave as someone in the One Piece/Hazbin Area was afraid of Clowns. I covered my face with the umbrella. But then more people came and I was told to leave again because someone there got raped by a Clown. i just cut the conversation short and left. It was hard for me to mask to be happy as I was approached by someone who recognized me as Allen just a few feet after that. Fighting down my tears I can tell that information did not only ruin that day but the whole weekend and the days after for me.

Alu did his best to suggest comforting things, and things I was looking forward to. Like the Bubble Photoshoot we had planned but it didn't really help... sadly I didn't pack my drawing materials which is a way for me to cope sometimes and sitting around wasn't helping either. My mood was down the drain, I just had recovered myself from a meltdown and then that.

It took me a while but I then decided Nagi to ask for some more Mana/Allen photos and they luckily agreed. I am extremely grateful.

As we were taking the photos I discovered two street artists who were juggling with pins over the street and I was amazed by them, as I am still learning how to juggle it's like magic to me when somebody can do it that well.

I had the idea to maybe ask them for photos and ... Alu went over there and asked them so...

... these cool photos came out. As mentioned before I will feature the full photoshoots later.

This helped to improve my mood a lot.

Then we finally came to take the photos with the bubbles, I was looking forward to them since the day before but I was kinda bummed all day long .. and I was not even sure if they would turn out. My mood was better yes but was it enough?

I have no idea how long I just played along but it helped, I love those child-ish acts they help me to relax a lot.

After that someone english speaking recognized me as Allen again (I got recognized a few times which truly surprised me!) and told me they only had seen the Clown Allen as Cosplay once and that was from someone in the US. I am glad I was able to make more people happy than I frightened with my costume.

Later on I even met more incredible D.Gray-man Cosplayers I didn't meet in before. Especially all the Lenalees were so cute and adorable. I met @the-bat-cat-art (Allen here) on sunday too, but only short.. I hope we can meet later on and talk more.

And I found a little pick me up at the artist alley.

Alu suggested even more photos and as I returned from the artist alley I had found the perfect spot for them.

After than we went to the street food festival, got some churros and watched a dance battle in the streets. Those dudes were pretty cool.

Back at the con we tried to take some lantern photos but the street lamps went on and ... it was too bright then.

We decided to call it a day and fetched some Pizza for dinner. In the restaurant I was recognized as Allen one last time for the day by a former Kanda Cosplayer.

I was glad as we were back in the apartment. Oh and I am aside everything amazed how well the make up did during the day I only corrected the lips here and there. And even with the little tearing up it looked still quite nice.

I'm still torn about Saturday there is a lot to digest and... to foreshadow Sunday a bit: my sleep was almost not existent. :')

I apologize if I misunderstood any of the headcanons because I was somewhat confused and I don't know how well I understood. I understood that Rhaenyra and Harwin went somewhere and that Jacaerys stayed in King's Landing with Reader.

-I LOVE the idea of green kids calling the reader "mom" but I don't see them calling her that in public. It would draw a lot of attention. In public they would surely call her "aunt". But yes, every time she comes back from her trips or her raids they run to hug her 🥰🥰

-Now if Jacaerys called Reader "mom" in public that would make the whole court talk about it. Above all, people would point out how the princess's own son seemed to prefer Reader more and how she seems to be a better mother. That would be good for the greens because it's bad publicity for Rhaenyra. Why would they support Rhaenyra when it seems that not even her own son chooses her? Still, it's hard for me to imagine that happening because Jacaerys loves Rhaenyra. He loves both of his moms. He is the son of a divorce 😔

-Rhaenyra admiring Reader throughout dinner and trying to get her attention but Reader only has her attention on Alicent and the kids.

-I can see a friendship between Reader and Daemon because I feel that at one point the two came to love each other and respect each other a lot. Besides that Daemon loves the fact that Reader is a dragon rider and knows how to fight, I'm sure that on more than one occasion they fought among themselves and went flying together. But I feel like everything changes between them once Jacaerys is born. Daemon always admired Reader's fire and expected a reaction, he hoped she would make Harwin and Rhaenyra pay. Then he was disappointed to see that she did nothing. Before his eyes, Reader now became the same as the rest of the women of Westeros, letting herself be trampled on by her husband. And Reader is not stupid, she realizes how Daemon sees her now or treats her like before. This is sad because Daemon is only frustrated with Reader because he knows she has potential and he knows she's smart enough to find a way to get rid of Harwin but she still endures the humiliation of Harwin and Rhaenyra's affair. But what ends up breaking the friendship between Reader and Daemon are: The deaths of Laena and Laenor and the wedding of Daemon and Rhaenyra.

-Harwin will always have hope that one day you will give him a chance again…

Idea for a fanfic that’ll never happen bc I can’t write

I was thinking about a fic where it features the past, present AND future

Past:

It starts off with Nori as the main character, she was an ordinary worker drone just doing what she was commanded too until she has a sense of reality and decides to rebel by protesting against the humans. That’s when she meets Khan and they hit it off instantly, forming a relationship

Nori and Khan make the workers begin to hate the humans and soon they all rebel and have lives of their own. Khan and a few others build a little town for the workers, that includes a daycare where couples can have kids

Eventually Khan and Nori get married and have Uzi, living their lives until a few years later where Nori starts seeing visions of the future, she didn’t mind until she started activating her absolute solver

Nori kept this quiet, she started drawing pictures of her visions and begged for Khan to build a door

As Khan was doing this, Uzi was getting in trouble at school, biting people and just being herself (which people hates so much smh)

Nori and a bunch of others were sent to a lab after the humans found out, Nori and Yeva were already besties so while Yeva was freaking out about this, Nori was having the time of her life

Unfortunately Nori gained an enemy, Alice grrrr 🦭

Nori goes insane and begins destroying the lab, she helped Yeva out bc besties but left everyone there to be in despair

Afterwards one night the murder drones attack, the doors were not stable enough and people died, including Nori and Doll’s parents

Khan had to end Nori’s suffering, with a lot of guilt he goes back home, Uzi walking in and asking where Nori is, Khan giving no response

Present:

This takes place after Murder Drones, where N was able to help Uzi and stuff happened

Uzi is the main character this time. her and N begin living together after she finishes school

N works as a teacher for young drones, teaching them about dog breeds like the boss he is while Uzi helps the wdf with weapons and also makes cool prosthetics

Eventually N proposes which Uzi immediately said yes and they had a wedding Yippeeeee

Few years later, N and Uzi decide that they want kids so after surprising Khan he immediately sets them up for a baby who they name Biscuit (N’s idea)

Fun family time until N and Uzi decide they want two more kids so hey they get two more kids (I will stand for Colt and Akay until I die)

Nothing much rlly happens in the present, just N and Uzi starting their family life

Future:

This focuses on N and Uzi’s only daughter and youngest child, Akay

Akay is a lot like Nori in a way, a party girl who isn’t afraid to embarrass herself (thanks to having N as a dad)

Ever since she was born she had to cover up her tail (completely forgot to mention but I think that just so N doesn’t feel embarrassed or sadness for being the only drone with a tail, Uzi made a tail for Colt and Akay) just so she doesn’t hurt anyone with it

Akay met a drone who owns a gardening store with fake plants, Akay instantly fell in love with her and uh lesbians yahoo

Anyways in the future N and Uzi grow old (technically just Uzi but N wanted to grow old with her so he tried making himself look old)

Their kids have kids and life is good

UNTIL UZI DIES 😦😦

As Akay was going to go visit N, she sees N laying dead while holding Uzi, his body hot from overheating

N did leave a letter for his kids and gave them instructions on what to do yet

They gave a bunch of possessions to their kids and grandkids (including a book about how to make a disassembly drone tail bc why not they look cool)

Soon a funeral was held and N and Uzi were buried in one grave, no one dared to seperate them

Akay went on to make a book about her parents lives, sparing no detail

And hey thanks to N and Uzi, the doorman family is still growing strong even in idk 5000

HEY THERE PEOPLE OF TODAY AND ROBOTS OF TOMORROW! IT'S ME, CLARK!

A chill is in the air. You can feel it can't you? Perhaps you even recognize it. That same chill arrives every year right on the dot. With it comes a frightful howl in the moonlight, the only other sound to be heard. Otherwise there is a strange calmness settling around you, like the point of ease before the storm. By now the howling has stopped. It has been replaced by a different sound. Footsteps. Big, heavy, dragging, as if the figure didn't quite know how to use their legs. Perhaps it's a random passerby. Perhaps it's a rotting, frightful feature freshly risen from the grave. Perhaps it's some other, unspeakable horror waiting to pounce! Whatever it is, you're not waiting around to find out! Yet no matter how far you run, it can't be escaped. The chill in the air, the howling of the wind, the heavy footsteps, it all leads back to one thing: October is here! And with it comes the return of the DUDELZ of the Damned!

Yes weirdos, like last year, my approximation of Sketchtober has returned. I call it an proxy because there was no list of prompts. Nah, that'd be too limiting. This is yet another case where I compiled my own list of ideas, sketched them out, then used one color per picture. With all that said, let's see what spoopy scribblings await us today!

Alice was mighty confused. One moment she was following a strange cat through her family's gardens. The next she's falling down a hole behind the shed to a strange land called Wonderwhere. What a curious name indeed. It's almost as if the land itself didn't know where it was. Quickly Alice discovered how fitting that mindset was. Nothing made sense here. People preferred walking on the ceiling instead of the floor, doors would lead to nowhere in particular, there were staircases going in every direction, it got dark during the daytime, rabbits would randomly explode, and yet somehow there was still a Starbucks in the middle of all this absurdity. Our heroine wasn't in the mood for overpriced pumpkin spice lates, but a drink sounded stupendous right about now. Luckily the cat, Cola, reappeared and led the young girl to its master: the Mad Hatter. She was sweeter than Peach soda and bore a smile oh so welcoming. The blue lady then kindly offered Alice a chair to sit and some soda to drink. Mmm, how delicious! Wait, why is the room suddenly spinning? What was in that soda?

Inspiration, that's what! Along with making drawing most of these DUDELZ, most of my summer was spent crafting new backstories for the Clarktoons. This included AnimatedTigerGirl's addition to the You Are What You Eat series, Fizzy, a soda monster. Before this year she had no real backstory, which is what I blame for a lack of artwork featuring her. Having some idea of a character's past helps me to inform future artwork. Now I've made it so she was a High School friend of Pizza Monster, the outgoing type that was always peer pressuring her pizza-loving pal into trying new, cool things. She now lives in Clarksburg running a soda parlor, still giving PM helpful advice from time to time. Armed with this new backstory, I also looked back onto older artwork for ideas, stumbling upon Tiger drew of Fizzy as Alice with one of my now defunct characters as the Hatter. One thing led to another and now we have Fizzy as a creepier version of the twisted tea-drinker. For the record Tiger, yes, I do challenge you to draw this yourself! As for the rest of you, I hope you enjoy this sketch! And remember: never accept drinks from strangers.

Because I had both Ultimate Gifts from my moth season ,season of flight, show up in the style closet. It made me happy (I didn't get them during the season because I didn't have an adventure pass) but also feel old... Yet it gave me compulsion to make it fit the style theme.

So, I went with the idea of being like a paleontologist dinosaur fossil hybrid outfit thing since deserts often hold many fossils. (And wanted to be different because most of my friends were dressed as cowboys)🦖🤠

Besides... I think the rhythm pants I was wearing are pretty damn close to cannoneer's actual pants. Made more sense to me.

Just a thought about Mayhem

I am now nore convinced that Mayhem isnt a clone of Holly, nor was made by the Labyrinth's power. I first thought that she was both, but then chapter 293 (i was too lazy to reread the past chapters with Mayhem in it),

"I am all the things you are, but i am so much more. I am superior."

She said so herself. Which meant she is a separate and a solid, official new character, and not an illusion like "Not-Cup"

Everybody talks about Bendy's shadow tendrils, origins, the Cupbros' souls, the Devil, King Dice, Alice Angel etc, BUT NO ONE TALKS ABOUT MAYHEM!

Dunno, i guess its bcoz there isn't much info about her and for some reason, she left an impact on the questers, especially Holly and Boris. I have developed my obsession with her and my mind is brimming with thoughts, headcanons, and theories about her. But it is always messed up by that ONE HOLE. When one adds up, a hole opens for questions.

And the Cog on her choker. It was fake right? She got it in the Labyrinth and not the house it is actually in (the observatory that CogHolly bought i recall?) i first thought that she was an illusion, but turns out not. She was last seen when Chaos fixed the Tear, and disappeared alongside him (i even drew her scowling for Chaos talking with the questers). In one chapter, i remember Bigby biting her arm and then appears again as she cried then laughed insanely. She appears to have the ability to stop time, like when Alice was having an illusion where she is forced to choose between Isaac and Bendy for the last part, the Chalice of Life, and also the time when Holly and Cuphead found a journal of Linda's father(?). And her constantly appearing on glass and windows and stuff. And her surviving in the Night Terror after it devoured her? Definitely something isn't right! Also, she once winked at us the "Audience" when she, Boris, sarah and not-cup was at the Tear, ready to brawl. She put them on costumes (sandwich on boris and chicken nugget on sarah? Or a feather duster? Dunno too lazy to go back) bro this is something only zanies have(4th wall breaking)

She's a zany, like the warner bros and the people in Aesop's falls,the town where Holly was from. If she said she was Holly but much more, this pins up the fact that i alsp made ANOTHER drawing of mayhem but smug and saying"I may be Holly, but Im also not Holly" confusing right? But it meant she has all of current Holly's, memories, powers, personality. But "also not holly" meant that she is like the evil side/version of her, which we see Cog Holly, and also Mayhem wore the Cog on her neck.

WHAT DID ALL OF THAT MEAN?

It is possible that Mayhem is Holly but is fully controlled by the cog. Also note this: Chaos once appeared in Holly's black tower when Bendy and Alice went in her head to restore her back (during nightmare night) It may hint something, yes Bendy did meet Chaos just like he said. But why did he appear there? Possible That it has a connection with mayhem, i mean she is his student. And possible that he may have chosen her bcoz of Holly's potential to be a witch, being so exposed to magic, runes and knowledge. But it may also be just bcoz Chaos is quite the zany himself and only appeared there at will (he is a cosmic right? So it is no wonder he doesn't follow the rules of a book, like a zany)

And that one moment i will not forget, MAYHEM NEARLY TORE BIGBY'S SOUL AWAY. Her arm was covered in some sort of black liquid, then pierced her hand to bigby's chest to get his soul (but was unsuccessful coz something interrupted her, i dunno if it was sarah or boris) Much like how LUKAHD TORE SOULS. The same hand. And there i thought only she can do that, but guess what? No! Mayhem had it too! That black substance that covered their hands meant something with the soul. And also why did mayhem say "interesting" at the dandehog family that went or escaped(?) the tear??? WHAT DID THAT MEAN?!!?

Also, if she had the ability to rip out souls like lukahd, then it is possible she may be experimenting on souls rn. Or she had experience.

I thought Mayhem was Lukahd's creation, Like how Kaguya created black zetsu(naruto shippuden), but tho something didn't add up. Why would she create her if Lukahd had the Cercatori? Bro i still remember this, and Darius, metatron, and the angel in white cloak, theyre all involved with the Cercatori, the Cult of the Lady of Despair (i have notes:), but i will still have this in my memory tho, i have long term memory whenever it comes to lore, but not school lessons lol) So it doesn't make any sense with thinking Mayhem is Lukahd's creation so i stuck with my theory that Mayhem is Holly.

Also, why the appearance? Possibly the Cog? But tho the cog was fake so how? Glowing eyes? But when i noticed the pattern, whenever someone is controlled, or at least related to an ink machine part, their eyes become hollow. So why does mayhem have pupils? Yet has the black sclera.

And also she's a fucking cosmic, as stated by the wiki, and as a student of chaos who himself, is a cosmic. What the fuck is happening?

If she got the Cog from the Labyrinth, didnt that make her an illusion too? Since the parts portrayed there were fake. But it appears mayhem is a character. Which comes in my theory that Mayhem may be Holly from the future, but got consumed by the cog as she was with the questers on their way to the machine itself. Then went back to time by the help of Chaos, who then made her his student. Then her exam to pass being a cosmic (note, this actually like happened in the Labyrinth, as to why she was scowling. Maybe? Too lazy to go back once again) IS TO MESS UP THE QUESTERS MISSION TO GET THE INSTRUMENT. And guess what? She did! They got the Instrument yet she terrorized them.

But then, this would mean a messed up timeline of Holly. But it is also possible that Mayhem is a cosmic who took Holly's identity. I dunno. Only TAP will tell.

When will Cuphead and Mugman use their snow-or whatever it called- Bullets? The picture that they just found with everyone--including the dead-- in it? They didn't even snap the camera! And that "Eye" what is it again? I forgot, it was some kind of person with forseight BY A LETTER that they found. WHO WAS IT? ARE THEY DEAD OR ALIVE? Is it watching them all this time?

And Reide's deal with Anzu, why did Anzu want Alice Angel? Is it revenge for Hannah? Or simply just thought of it as fun? And TAP dont u DARE send Bendy back to hell and then make Reide go with him to the surface and at the same time send Alice back to the house >:(((

Im a bit confused of the Machine, the Legendary chalice, yen sid, and the angel-demon war's length (i mean the amount of time it had) and timeline (the sequence of events) if ya get what i mean.

Its still quite a mystery for them to exist. And this is why Inky Mystery's title fits so much bcoz its full of ridiculous mysteries that i love to ovethink about.

Ho, ho, ho~! What a fun prompt you've given~ Thank you for giving me the excuse to ramble about the gender bend that I came up with for Alice since Jill was first introduced.

First of all, the male version of Alice is named Arthur King.

Yes, the pun is intentional. It's actually what made me decide on King as Alice's surname.

No, I will not apologize for my love of wordplay.

Speaking of puns and wordplay, the puppet Arthur had as a child instead of Honey Bunny was called Sir Hopsalot. (For my pals who need to use a translator, it's a play on "Hops a lot" and "Lancelot".) As you might expect, it was a bunny dressed as a knight, complete with a felt sword and shield. Eventually I will draw this adorable puppet and a model sheet for Arthur when I can draw again.

Arthur has some small differences between him and Alice, having grown up with a the AMAB societal pressures rather than the AFAB ones. Also certain experiences Alice faced won't apply to Arthur's life and vice-versa. Overall though, he's got generally the same likes/dislikes/personality as his female counterpart. He's still self-conscious about his size and appearance, but he also has added worries about his height on top of his weight. He, like Alice, is pretty short.

Oh, and while I'm at it, if Alice/Arthur was neither male nor female, their name would be Ace. Their puppet would probably be either Honey Bunny or Sir Hopsalot, depending on whether they were AMAB or AFAB since I don't think Ace would really realize their gender identity until they were much older.

Then again... I could just use this as an excuse to make a third, nonbinary bunny puppet.

Anyway, regardless of gender, Alice is still weak to Jack regardless of his gender. Jill is going to make Alice/Arthur/Ace just as flustered as Jack can.

On that note, since this is a pregnancy headcanon post, there's probably going to be talk of the baby making process and related kinks, so expect some of spicy bits. You can also check out a couple previous happy pregnancy headcanon posts here and here, which also get a bit spicy.

Arthur, like Alice would be keen to have a big family with a lot of kids with his partner, even if it was necessary to use a surrogate or adopt. I imagine Jill would be keen on having kids with her sunshine as well if at all possible.

As I mentioned in the previous headcanon posts, like Jack, I imagine Jill would only be able to get pregnant if her sunshine consents to it. If Arthur/MC isn't ready, it's not happening. Consent is a big part of the character of Jack/Jill after all.

As was mentioned on the official tumblr, Jack can touch and interact with things the more attached his sunshine is to him. "Interact" in the case of pregnancy AUs/headcanons would be, well, getting his sunshine pregnant. It would be the same thing if he were the one getting pregnant as Jill. Pregnancy is combining two peoples' DNA into a biological baby storage container, in a sense. If Jack can make get someone pregnant, then Jill can get impregnated.

Jack, as we've seen from comments made in both the demo and side-game, Sleepy Time Jack, has a heartbeat. He feels warm and solid to his sunshine. He can sweat, has spit, and is capable of producing semen, likely blood too. He has powers that normal ghosts don't possess, which is probably why he's called a ghost(?) on the store page. I think Jack is something more than a ghost, something with the potential to become every bit as real as his sunshine.

So, of course, this would apply to his gender bent counterpart. The more attached MC is to Jill, the more real she becomes. Arthur gets attached to Jill like Alice does to Jack. Jill becomes more and more real to Arthur and after a slow burn romance they fall in love. Once Arthur feels ready for it and is prepared with both money and his job security, he'll want to start having babies with his partner, which Jill would only be happy to do with him.

Arthur would be concerned whether Jill could get pregnant, but she would encourage him that they won't know until they try. Their love is powerful after all. It doesn't matter what the world thinks, all that matters is them and their love.

Oh, and FYI, Jill is still the more dominant one in the bedroom. Arthur, like Alice, is still easily flustered, and Jill is still sneaky and manipulative like Jack - with love of course. Still, Arthur tries his best to pleasure his partner and show lots of love just like Alice does.

Once Jill takes a pregnancy test and it turns out positive, Arthur is stunned, reeling, but so happy. He wants to lift up Jill and spin her around with joy, too choked up to speak, but he's not strong enough. Fortunately, she's got muscles and can spin him around easily.

Jill is not only stronger than Arthur, but taller too, which does leave him feeling self-conscious that he should be more of a "man" for his partner, but she makes sure that he knows he's perfect just the way he is. Men can be sensitive, soft, sweet, and kind too. They can be cuddly and loving and still be a man. After all, he doesn't think of her as less of a woman for being tall with muscles, does he?

Arthur, of course, would insist that's not the case. Jill is gorgeous, practically perfect. He'd fumble to admit that her muscles and height are actually a turn on. He's not into being crushed or choked, but being picked up by his strong partner is just so exciting, even if it makes him feel flustered.

Jill would be trying to still be the one trying to take charge most of the time, taking care of her sunshine, but Arthur would be insisting she rest more for the baby while he takes on the lion's share of the work. He might have gone through a depressed period where he struggled to take care of himself, but Jill helped him appreciate himself more, and he was prepared to step up as a father knowing he had to put lots of work into it. He would try to cook, clean, and help his partner handle any pregnancy cravings and issues that might arrive.

One big hurdle to overcome potentially, if Jill still can't be seen by others even while pregnant, is medical care. They have to take care of her and the baby's health all by themselves. That means researching what nutrition is needed for the baby, what signs to look out for, and generally handle it on their own. Arthur will even have to be the one to deliver the baby, since he's the only one who can, and you bet your ass he'll be studying hard on how to do it right.

Naturally, there would be questions where the baby came from, but that would be something that they would be prepared to handle ahead of time. This pregnancy would only happen after they both had many discussions about it and plans for what they're going to do about the various issues that might come up. Documents can be faked, and Arthur has a big family as well as a few trusted friends who he told about Jill, so they're not alone in this.

Giving birth would hit Jill just as hard as it would Jack, maybe even harder since she would be getting the full force of the pregnancy hormones rather than just some spill over. Their baby looks just like her, or rather just like Josephine, right down to the mole. It would generate a lot of intense emotions, but Arthur would be there to support her and comfort her. There's also the extended family who would be helping support the two with the new baby, even if they can't see Jill.

Jill is at bigger risk of post-partum depression if she still can't be seen after giving birth. Sure, she can talk to other people besides Arthur through writing or passing a message through him, but she's going to be extra needy and clingy with her sunshine. It's something that Arthur would have worried about happening, so he would be extra supportive and attentive to her needs.

Oh, also, since it's something of a tradition in these happy pregnancy posts, there's definitely going to be a lot of pregnancy body worship. Arthur is going to be wanting to cuddle and touch the baby in Jill's belly and letting her know he's so happy that she's carrying their child. He's going to do all he can to make sure she feels loved and appreciated for doing something as demanding as pregnancy and birth.

Also, on a spicier note, Jill is going to encourage Arthur to get a sample of her milk as soon as she's lactating. He's going to struggle to admit it, but he is curious for a taste and when he does, well... he definitely is into the kink. It becomes a regular thing after that, and I'm sure with her powers she'll be able to make sure her sunshine and their baby get plenty of love to drink.

Really, considering we don't know the limits of Jill's supernatural abilities, she might have the ability to lactate even before getting pregnant. Heck, since it's likely that sunshine has summoned her to begin with and is likely responsible for her body existing in the first place, it might be possible for Alice to get Jill pregnant just by them both wanting it. Jack seems to be able to conjure up new outfits after all, like his pajamas and robe, after all, and we still are wondering where the blueberries for the pancakes came from...

Though, to be honest, I suspect that Jack's plan is to eventually be every bit as real as his sunshine, which means Jill would have the same goal. It's entirely possible that by the time Jill and Arthur are committing to expanding their family by having children, other people would be able to see the happy mother-to-be walking around hand in hand with her sunshine for all to see.
