I think one of the best things the Ibizan Hound Club of the United States has ever done is the illustrated standard

It uses real pictures of real dogs and shows variations of conformation and style within the breed that can all be correct. It also has real examples of what isn’t desirable.

It also expands upon and goes more in depth into the official AKC standard and how it is generally agreed to be interpreted in the breed

Ibizans have some really unique conformational features and the illustrated standard was so instrumental to my own learning and is such a wonderful resource to share with others trying to learn. Honestly every breed should have an illustrated standard imo

I'm thinking about that one ask regarding Shockwave Longarm semiaccidentally having a kid with someone and when the sparkling is born looking pretty Shockwave-ey, I just imagined Longarm just taking the child and dipping out

He can't afford to blow his cover and well he still wants this kid (and he can't imagine what'll happen if he leaves them), so he just. Runs because no matter what if he stayed there'd be questions

Shenanigans ensue

Makes me wonder tbh if Shockwave can change his disguise from "Longarm" to one unrecognizable to others, cuts his losses on that former disguise and tries to build himself up through the ranks through a different route (sure, it'll take time, especially since he has a bitlet he has to take care of alone now and tell as few people as possible about)

The rumors and news's pov on what happened regarding "Longarm prime on the run with sparkling" does not help things
