“Moonlit Meeting With a Vampire”

Sam’s phone is on factory settings - the default wallpaper, home screen, etc.

He doesn’t really see a point in changing it.

Until one day Darlin’ grabbed his phone from his hands as he was checking emails, shuffled closer to him, kissed his cheek, and snapped a quick photo before making it his wallpaper on both his lock screen and home screen.

He hasn’t changed it since.

Now every time he opens up his phone he melts into a smile.

When Quinn witnesses Darlin fight in their wolf form, all he sees is a beast. A ferocious monster, big and intimidating and powerful. One at his beck and call, no less. He lets them lick their own wounds when the fight is over. If they did well enough, maybe he’ll offer them a quick pat on the haunches before leaving them be in their own blood and sweat. They don’t know a lick of healing magic, let alone anyone in their circle at the time that might help them. Darlin walks around with large bruises and bandages strung lazily across their body. Not for lack of trying— they’re just so sore, so tired that it takes effort to reach the places that need covering. Their poor eating habits and lack of sleep make the healing process especially slow.

When Sam witnesses Darlin fight in their wolf form he sees a scared animal. Cornered, wild eyes darting around— as if looking for a way out. Lip curled with low posture. They fight like they’ve been backed into a corner even in the most open of spaces. Once they shift back, he’s all over them in seconds. Checking for wounds, healing said wounds, tight hugs and deep breaths. Affirming to them that they’re ok, he’s ok. More than anything he’s reassuring himself. The wounds he can’t heal he wraps and treats with the supplies he has until he’s recuperated enough to continue healing them. He’ll bring them food in bed, much to their chagrin.

“I can get up myself! You don’t have to bring it to me I’m fine.”

“You’ll pop a stitch if you move around too soon. Quit your whinin’, you big baby.”

When they’re alone, Darlin will shift and lay in Sam’s lap sleeping soundly. He’ll run his hands through their fur and get caught tracing the large scars where fur refuses to grow back. Soft and gentle as if they’re still fresh, still tender. He 's caught in a trance staring at nothing while doing so until a rhythmic thumping breaks him from it.

Still asleep, it’s Darlin’s wagging tail.

Aggro LOVES Sam.

Sam isnt big on cats, he doesnt hate them he's just chill and Aggro love that vibe about him. Plus Sam gives the best pets and scritches 🥰

There is a very very quiet debate among Sweetheart, Darlin, Ash and perhaps Milo that Aggro may favour Sam over them. Theyre trying to curate a leaderboard. (partly why i want to exclude Milo because he would rather die than admit Aggro loves anyone more than him)

Sam is clueless of the leaderboard. He sees Aggro once in a while when they're invited to Milo and SH's place for game night or whatever. Aggro brushes against his legs and falls asleep on Sam's lap, and brushes up in Sam's beard OH and lots of kitty kisses heh heh

The audios with David and Sam mean so much to me, bc Sam is shitting his pants because he is having to meet with a man that has a lot of power, and is super intimidating to him. He doesn’t know what’s gonna happen in all of this, David might have yelled at him, David might have tried to whoop his ass for all he knew. And on top of all of that, he’s probably also freaking out about the person he has a little crushy crush on never forgiving him for this.

And David is just being the sassiest fuck ever the whole time! He is giving Sam like Milo Greer levels of sass.

These have gotta be one of the funniest things David has ever done. Up there with winning Just Dance and getting fucked up in the club.

vampires have a thing for teeth. apparently, it comes with the territory.

even before lovely was turned, vincent found it hard to think straight when they were scraping olives from cocktail sticks with those teeth, catching his eye as they did so. he damn near choked on his drink as he watched their throat work, and oh god, did they just wink at him?

porter is transfixed by treasure’s smile. once he’d figured out exactly what it was that made them beam, he made it his mission to poke those same buttons whenever he can. and when he succeeds? the entire world falls away, and he feels his own tongue dart out to run over his fangs, staring them down like a starving man.

and don’t get sam started on darlin’s sharp canines. fuck, they’re intoxicating. whenever they get frustrated, a growl rumbles deep in their throat, and they bare those gorgeous, terrifying teeth as though to bite the head off of him. and he would let them, even if all he really wants is to- nope. no. he has restraint. for now.

Darlin goes from wearing a leather biker jacket to one of Sam’s flannel jackets btw. Their eyes are softer btw. There’s a wrinkle between their brows that is now visible since they aren’t furrowing them all the time btw. They’re developing smile lines btw. They text the boys to try and spend more time together btw. They become good friends with Angel, Babe, and Sweetheart btw. Sam introduces them to Fred and Bright Eyes btw.
