Yes. First of all, one should understand which materials could be used for making jewelry. During Qing dynasty the most popular materials were jade, gold, silver, kingfisher feathers, pearls, coral, amber, lapis lazuli, cat’s eye and turquoise.

The new miraculous system consists of 4 layers. The first layer and the bottom one consists of crow, snake, fox, weasel and hedgehog, the Five Great Immortals, also known as Wudaxian. The second layer is Vermilion bird and Black Warrior. The third layer is Dragon and Tiger miraculouses. The third and the second layer consist of The Four Symbols. The fourth layer is Qilin, the ultimate form that can be acquired by combining tiger and dragon miraculouses.

Here's the scheme of the new system

At this point, Vermilion bird is new Butterfly, Dragon is new Ladybug, Tiger is new Black cat and Black warrior is new Bee. Fox stays the same.

What will happen to the zodiac kwami?

Yes, zodiac kwamis indeed fit into this setting. However, in my opinion, this amount of kwamis is unnecessary. Besides power overlapping, it leads to some kwamis being overpowered and/or not memorable enough.

Power overlapping

Fluff and Sass. Rabbit and Snake miraculouses. The most obvious one, in my opinion. Snake miraculous is like a cropped version of the rabbit miraculous. And it raises certain questions. Does one miraculous influence the second one? Does snake miraculous also creates a new alternative timeline? Unclear...

Orikko and Nooroo. Rooster and Butterfly miraculouses. Rooster is also a cropped version of butterfly miraculous. If butterfly can give one any superpower PLUS a cool costume, rooster grants just a power that doesn’t already belong to another kwami. It’s also unclear if goat miraculous is able to copy power from another miracle box.

Tikki , Ziggy and Xuppu. Ladybug, Goat and Monkey miraculouses. It’s actually unexpected but Ladybug (in terms of a superpower) is a cropped version of Goat miraculous. A holder of Goat miraculous can control a created object, while Ladybug’s created object is random. Monkey miraculous just summons a subject to "throw it at the opponent." So, basically mindless usage of a ladybug miraculous?

Wayzz and Stompp. Turtle and Ox miraculouses. Ox miraculous is a turtle miraculous just without a shield.

ARGUABLY!! Fluff and Kaalki. Rabbit and Horse miraculouses. Rabbit miraculous holder is able to travel through both time and space. Can’t holder travel also jump just through space?

Overpowered

Duusu. Peacock miraculous.This is arguable point; peacock being able to create actual people with their own emotions, opinions and feelings without anything in return? These synthesized people do not draw their vitality from a third-party source? Plus, adult holder can create endless amount of these human likenesses? Firstly, that doesn’t sound like equivalent exchange to me. Secondly. Fortunately, no one thought of creating an army of these clones.

Fluff. Rabbit miraculous. Time travel. Holder can change anything in time. In past, future and present. Endlessly.

Nooroo. Butterfly miraculous. It’s also worth mentioning that Butterfly miraculous is capable of copying 2 main miraculouses, Ladybug and Black cat miraculouses, other miraculouses in the box and creating absolutely new powers. It’s unclear if it can revive dead or not.

Xuppu. Monkey miraculous. What... I didn't even get what the superpower was even about. Had to google it

Here's some of my thoughts. Kwamis at this point become tools, not characters. I personally couldn't even remember even the half of kwamis' names, unfortunately. In the show they're more like cute plushies than ancient immortal creatures.

Will the dragon and tiger have new powers?

It’s a trick question and I’m still thinking it through. At this point. No. I’ll just make them more controllable. At first you should think of a plan and then look what you're lacking. Kids will have to learn this lesson 😉

house md warrior cats au. house is unaffiliated with clan cats, claiming he prefers loner life due to his kittypet heritage that leaves him open for clan-typical prejudices. still, sometimes he can be persuaded to be a hired cat for clans swept through with surprise illness or those without a medicine cat -- he's fickle but he bores easily, too, so he can bear some jeering in exchange for something to do. the only clan leader that seems to like him somewhat is codstar (cuddy) (cudstar is too unfortunate a name for her she's too pretty to be named president barf)

i'm thinking...... house used to be in plainsclan [codstar's clan, before she was leader] until his leg. maybe it wasn't an infarction, maybe a snake bite, maybe an infected wound?? either way he was out of commission and his judgment on his own treatment was not trusted (despite literally being a medicine cat) and instead deferred to those closest to him -- his best friend, codstar, and his mate, stillsight (stacy. like 'stay-see'. i thought actually saying 'staysee' but that looks awful like incredibly caucasian take on the name stacy)

as he was the only medicine cat at the time, no one's actually sure if them doing as house said while fevered and ill would have given him a better outcome than he got, but as it is, he's left with a lame leg that never stops hurting and the sick feeling of betrayal in his fur. he leaves the clan and stillsight steps down from her position as deputy. at least they remembered poppy seeds were for pain and had set some aside for him.

the little area house claims for his territory he uses to tend to his own personal poppy garden at the cost of not being able to stray too far from it. over time, though he takes more than he replants, flowers are ruined by bugs or disease, and he needs new seeds. how convenient that he remembers seeing some poppies in one of these yards.... all he has to do is swipe some before the twolegs or pets of the place catch him.

well that's how he met wilson. pretty as a showkitty and meowing through the mesh covering the patio -- a catio, ha. "hey, careful with those, too many of them can knock you out." which isn't really how house thought that would go but okay.

Hi X-Men fans so someone on TikTok (I finally got TikTok after deleting it like 3 years ago cause it was weighing so badly on my mental health and the only reason I downloaded it again was for scogan content.) that I follow posted these about a month ago:

Essentially what xmen would look like as cats. Uhm. YES is all I have to say, so I've already started drawing, and when I was talking to one of my friends who has vague knowledge about X-Men they said something about "X-Men warrior cats au" as a joke but I took it to heart. I wasn't a warrior cats kid but THEY WERE so I asked them to give me WC names for each of them. I took those names as inspiration and used a WC name generator to come up with some other stuff (because I don't know the criteria for naming.) I kinda want this au to span over the movies and cartoons and possibly some of the comics, but sadly I haven't read any of them so sim unsure. If anyone has any cats or WC names they think would fit a different X-Men character, like morph or kitty or warren or any1 else really PLEASEEE give 💕

I got names down for almost everyone except Nightcrawler and Wolverine. Nightcrawler could stand alone as a WC name, because im pretty sure it fits the criteria, but since everyone else's names are changed it feels weird to leave his. If anyone has suggestions PLEASE give them!!

However, I found a few names I think could work for Logan but I'm not sure which to pick. Poll time!

Wolfclaw was the original name my friend gave me, I came up with Bloodclaw, Tempertail (my friend told me the cats' names change sometimes so I thought maybe after he joined the X-Men 'clan' they would've started calling him that because of how irritable he is) and also Silversoul. I REALLY like Silversoul, it's in reference to the adamantium in his bones, and how the experiments done on him are a crucial part of who he is. Take your pick!

whats hollyleaf like in your au?

I'm gonna be completely transparent. With all the talk about canon!her recently, I'm terrified of talking about WCR!Her. But, screw it. Let's be brave!

Hollyleaf

Well, let's start with the basics! Hollyleaf is a large, long-legged, pure black molly with a rip in her ear post-OOTS, long, soft fur, a big bushy tail, and pale green eyes.

Yes, Post-OOTS. Hollyleaf manages to survive the Great Battle when Dovewing slams her full weight into Thistleclaw, who is attacking Ivypool for being a 'traitor'. Since she isn't attacked by a Dark Forest cat the way she was, she makes it through the battle.

Hollykit is born to Leafpool and Crowfeather, and given to Squirrelflight and an unknowing Brambleclaw to raise alongside her 2 brother, Lionkit and Jaykit.

From an early age, she is inspired by her father and wishes to be the best cat she can be for Thunderclan.

She is initially ambitious about being a Medicine Cat, with the freedoms and power the position easily applies to its holder. She and Lionpaw are both assigned to Leafpool, but with Hollypaw being squeamish and Lionpaw being... Lionpaw... They're both reassigned. Lionpaw is assigned to Brightheart, and Hollypaw is assigned to Ashfur...

Ashfur is an AWFUL mentor. He constantly berates Hollypaw, drilling Starclan and The Warrior Code until her as hard as he can. When things come down to it, I'm not sure if Hollypaw fights him or Lionpaw steps in to try and help his sister, only leading to that horrible fight... But I know that no matter what happens, Brambleclaw STILL fails to see the real problem, and Hollypaw STILL takes guilt on board and begins to obsess over being a "thinker", a politician, someone who will fix a problem, no matter the cost.

When Swallowkit, Thistlekit and Sedgekit go missing in the tunnels, Hollypaw, Lionpaw, Jaypaw, Heatherpaw and Breezepaw go through said tunnels to find them. However, there is now a twist to it. Lionpaw tries to keep things a secret, and Jaypaw has doubts that kittens would go into such an eerie place, but Hollypaw?

Hollypaw can hear them. She can hear a lot more than she wants to, and she can't control it.

Hollyleaf! Third cat of the Prophecy! The Clairvoyant, capable of hearing and sensing things over a great distance. Lionblaze's eyes turn red, Jayfeather's turn silver, Dovewing's turn blue, and Hollyleaf's eyes turn a bright amber... The same colour as Leafpool's.

She has the hearing power until her mental breakdown, where she begs Starclan to take it away from her and give it to a "better cat". Starclan picked Dovekit, and swapped her would-be power. The ability to sense disaster. For any Pokemon fans, think Absol. Can sense when a disaster is about to strike. Time stops, just for a moment, and she can sense what is about to happen. When she controls this, it can give her a major advantagetk strategically think about her move, but she'll have to do it quickly. You can feel when something will happen. This doesn't mean you can prevent it. Hollyleaf is no longer The Clairvoyant, the title goes to Dovewing. Hollyleaf is The Sighted.

Before this happens though, she goes back into the Tunnels to hone her power, making friends with Fallen Leaves and getting close with the ghostly trans molly. She connects with Fallen Leaves and the two care deeply for one another. At first Fallen Leaves is apprehensive, it's been so long since she's had a real connection with anyone, and Hollyleaf could just leave... But when Hollyleaf gives her reassurance that she will always come back, and that she really does care, it allows Fallen Leaves to not only get closer to the entrance of the tunnels, but to begin aging alongside Hollypaw/Hollyleaf. Finally beginning to not only accept her death, but heal from the traumatic experience of it.

She stays in Thunderclan after the reveal and her murder of Ashfur, but her mental state is frail and all eyes are on her, she suffers hallucinations, flashbacks, and intrusive thoughts... She is given Dovepaw to mentor, the kid who Starclan gave Hollyleaf's power to. Hollyleaf does her absolute best to support Dovewing, and she's doing a better job than Lionblaze is, especially as he is now Ivypaw's mentor.

Hollyleaf and Dovepaw go on the Beaver Journey together, and from that point on it solidifies Dovepaw's place as the 4th Prophecy cat.

She and The Three work together, gathering information on Starclan and The Place of No Stars, while also trying to get through life in a time of heavy political unrest. Ivypaw and other Dark Forest trainees are manipulating political figures into battle.

Hollyleaf had no idea how bad things were getting for Ivypaw, how deeply she was falling into a trap. She ripped into Lionblaze, who had been neglecting his apprentice a bit to focus on Prophecy work. If she could do it and still be a mentor, so could he.

Hollyleaf is kinda popular in Thunderclan, her attitude mellows throughout OOTS as she learns to be a member of her community rather than a servant of Starclan.

It starts with the new Novella-turned-Super-Edition; Hollyleaf's Nightmare. Hollyleaf is in a small, safe tunnel with Fallen Leaves after losing her overstimulating hearing power. Only a single day later. They head deeper into a tunnel, when Hollyleaf suddenly gets sleepy. Fallen Leaves promises she'll wake Hollyleaf up.

"I will wake you up when you've snored 100 times!"

"Thanks, Fall, I.... Wait a minute, I don't snore!"

"Hollyleaf. You could wake the dead."

So she has a nap, and during this time, her new disaster power is about to come through... but... The Tunnels are not a place that is easy for any spirit to reach. Starclan or Beyond.

Hollyleaf dreams about a swirling misty field, but it's cold, and gray. There are no signs of life aside with the tiny plants that seem to struggle in the thick, heavy air... She steps through, only to no-clip fall through the ground and into The Dark Forest, where she is quickly ushered by an invisible force into one of the many prison cells.

By this time, Hollyleaf's sleeping body is in visible distress. Fallen Leaves is unable to wake her, and demands that Rock, the God of Time, do it. When Rock refuses, Fallen Leaves uses a tiny tunnel to get to Midnight, God of Dimensions. She begs Midnight to help, to do something, anything...

Midnight, seer of different dimensions and teacher of Fire to the cats, sends Fallen Leaves into the Dream World, to rescue Hollyleaf.

But Hollyleaf is clever, and able to escape the prison, setting off a riot. She and Fallen Leaves escape; though... When she gets out of the tunnel... The Lake looks quite different.

She and Fallen Leaves have gone back in time, as time and space are unstable in the tunnels. She lets Fallen Leaves go and see her family, though they will not be able to see her, while Hollyleaf stays and heals from an injury she got escaping Hell.

In the meantime, a baby Badger wanders up to Hollyleaf, starving and scared. Hollyleaf starts a fire, just like her mom... Aunt... taught her to, and cooks up some grilled pheasant. The baby Badger is thankful, and says so, startling Hollyleaf. She asks Hollyleaf how to start a fire, and when Hollyleaf shows her, she introduces herself... as Midnight.

The young god goes along her way, leaving Hollyleaf alone to think about her aunt. Her mom. Her other mom.... What even is Squilf to her anymore?

It's a lot to think about, and even more to miss.

When Fallen Leaves comes back, she and Hollyleaf head into the deepest tunnel to get back home. Hollyleaf heads back to Thunderclan, and finally sits down to have a talk with Leafpool.

Later, during Squirrelflight's Freedom, when Squilf steps down as deputy in a final act of defiance, Bramblestar chooses Hollyleaf for his second deputy. She knows what game Bramblestar is trying to play, and she's not interested. She takes his offer, but not his apology.

During TBC book 2, Hollyleaf sprains her leg BADLY. She was just out hunting when some thawing dirt gave way and the next thing she knew Jayfeather was fussing over her while his new husband Fuzzyleaf (Fuzzball) was gently massaging her hip. He confines her to her bed and Squilf is made temporary deputy against her will... She does it for Hollyleaf.

In time, he legs heals up, and she is torn between doing what is easy (killing Bramblestar's Imposter, as many times as it may take) or doing what is right, which is letting him at least have his body back. She dislikes her former father, but she isn't cruel. She knew if it was her in that situation she would be desperate for help from anyone.

She helps him, because helping people is the right thing to do, even if you dislike them.

During ASC, everybody is gunning for her to be leader. Dandeliontuft most of all wants another cat to replace her father, and places down the very first Thunderclan Leader Vote.

Bramblestar hates it and lashes out against them all before Starclan's divine intervention strikes hard and fast...

Hollyleaf quickly made aware that going to the Moonpool is not any sort of option to take. Something has cursed it, and no cat an get through. Breezepelt was mauled and may not survive, simply for trying to claim 9 lives.

Until things settle, Hollyleaf will call herself Hollystar, and will fight against Berrystar and Splashstar with clever tactics while others try and see if they can break the curse that withholds Starclan's blessing.

In the meantime, she'll be training Bristlepaw, and keeping a close eye on her as Starclan's angels close in to choose another "special" young cat...

☆ A bit of information on it, and how it works. This WILL be updated overtime, tweaked, adjusted, and reffered back to atleast until i start publishing everything properly!

Starweb is an insect/bug themed Sonic AU in which all mobian characters in canon are bug counterparts to their original species! Ex: Hedgehogs = Spiders, Echidas = Ants, Foxes = Weevils, etc. Instead of just bugs though, they are referred to as Insectians! Basically means people.

REFERENCE SHEETS AT THE BOTTOM‼️

• The story follows primarily Sonic and Shadow, though many other are still canon and present in the story such as Silver, Blaze, Knuckles, Tails, Mighty, Ray, and other's. However they are less present and can be considered side characters or b-plots to Sonic and Shadow's story.

• This will have it's own terminology aswell, there will be a list with all of them, basically like Warrior Cats if you want an easy example of replacing words, systems, or making brand new ones for specific purposes. (I'm not joking theres already a canon slur against vegetarian insectians).

The canon story will and does follow, as of currently, just Sonadow! However, this does not mean you cannot prefer your own ships with these specific versions of the characters, you could ship Sonknux for example, and you can even make fanart of it. I do this with my own au too, i say this since i don't want people harrassing others in the future for drawing something "not canon" to an au, aus aren't even canon to begin with!! (I've seen this happen to other people before).

• Starweb is going to be done a little weirdly, written moreso in episodes or "one-shot" formats in chronological order of events or days, some may be back to back and some may not. It won't be written like a script for a show i just mean like how in Shows they go in the right order but different days = different adventures!

• This story will actually be portrayed in a few different mediums. The main will be writing, obviously, likely with art or doodles thrown in, and some entire parts will just be comics, I'd include animation but that would take awhile. Keep in mind though: i am no expert writer snd grew up with more visual books aside from WC/WoF and fanfictions (somehow) so bare with me! (Don't worry about trying to locate the story yet, i haven't published anything that you can't find on instagram or tumblr).

You will never see me try to write a description of how a character looks by default, i cannot do descriptions, you are just getting a random refsheet in the middle or beginning of introduction. 🤸🎸

• Here's a better explanation for the layout! The story, in total overtime would likely reach about 4-5 arcs, though I'm only focusing currently on 3 arcs, they're also the build up and the slowburn! (Very, very slow burn). I'm not sure how many "chapters" or parts there will be in each arc yet, but I'll say between 10-15 roughly, not counting b-plots with other characters. I do know the events that take place in each arc I'm just narrowing it down.

• Not too important but i thought i should mention incase this is asked again. YES you can make Starweb ocs or convert your ocs into Starweb!! There is currently no master list of every mobian species converted to thwir correct insectian type but if you wish to ask or want to know the au-specific physical characteristics you can ask anytime!

• A small edition to this about species, they don't have highly specifc species, they are all mostly just generalized, for example even if one spider was specifically inpired to be a tarantula they'd just be called a spider or atleast has to be some sort of arachnid, but you'd make them bigger than probably other insectians because they're bigger, so it's more of size in that case, but i hope that helps for anyone trying to be more specific. There's only a couple roughly specific-er ones such as Weevils (foxes), to those who know their entomology they are beetles, even if beetles as a category is not specific to weevils in this.

• As for art, unless i say something is canon it's likely just uncanon art of my au, so don't take it all too seriously. You can also tell my kinsona apart fairly easy considering some of the added patterns and the fact he's the size of normal Sonic and wears shorts with ripped fingerless gloves. Insectians are the size of bugs and do not canonly wear clothesー at best makeshift stuff from the recourses around them.

HEY! I'm glad you like it :D I'm very happy this is getting traction HAHA it's an AU me n pal have put lots of thought in!! Here's a little more about the bayoutrio & rolan more specifically :)

The trio do try to avoid the clan territories as much as they physically can, though they've been caught stealing herbs and such a couple times it's a pretty rare occurrence and they manage on their own most of the time. They're ex-kittypets turned rogues after their twoleg place burnt down, so they just Kinda wander around. They try not to interact with other cats, clan or not.

Forager has a connection to Starclan in the way where they just really want him dead. They're the ones that caused the car crash back in the twoleg place and tried really hard to run him over but it got Rat instead unfortunately ( yes they can canonically do this in the book series and it is absolutely lost on me how they do it but it's real )

So way back in the day on the original Warriors website, there was an area where you could submit questions about the series that the Erin's would answer and then post the question and answers on a FAQ page. Someone asked about prefixes that the Clans don't use because they're considered sacred, and the answer had been iterations of Moon-, Star-, or the Clan names themselves, so Sky-, Shadow-, etc.

Obviously this isn't true for canon anymore, if it ever actually was (citing here: lack of continuity between the Erins) but I'm curious to know if your AU has any prefixes that the Clan's absolutely refuse to use for one reason or another? Whether they be sacred or maybe they're considered "cursed", like perhaps a particularly evil cat has tarnished the prefix forever. (Such as the lack of Maple- prefixes in canon books post-Mapleshade! Maybe not intentional, but a cool world-building detail nonetheless!)

Stemming from that, do you think any prefixes would/could be turned into insults/curses later on down the line? Basically, what's the culture like for names? My favorite part of Warriors has always been the names, and the Erin's had such a nice thing going until it was tossed out the window. The system you use with Clanmew and all is super neat and I'd love to know more about Clan naming traditions! Also how each leader names cats - idk if it was you or someone else that I follow, but I saw a post talking about how each leader has a distinct way to name their warriors.

(Also small fun fact while on the subject of names, a friend of mine submitted a question asking about who Bluestar's parents were, and the answer was Duskflower and Stormtail. This was a few years before Bluestar's Prophecy was published, so she was very upset over them changing "Duskflower" to "Moonflower" when it did finally come out!)

The Duskflower thing is actually a misconception: What happened was that in a field guide, the Erins wrote that the name was "Moonflower," and then felt that "moon" should be sacred. That's when they started using "Duskflower," until Bluestar's Prophecy came out and they agreed with the editors that the older information should take precedence

But anyway I have no banned or sacred names! I don't like that concept! Possibly because I am from an old fandom era of 'traditional namers' that just used it as an excuse to bully people and have bad taste. Hawkfrost's name ROCKS MY SOCKS and they all died mad while I'm still here.

My rules with namings is that EVERYTHING must make sense in-universe. So I don't like lyrical naming very much... names like "Friendlyface" or "Empyreanmist" are funny, but I don't see how a kitten would end up with those names unless every cat in their Clan stopped taking their lives seriously

(Or are in WarriorClan. BB!WarriorClan renamings are going to look WILD)

That also means ecologically invalid names get cut or end up being translation quirks. Names like Cypress, Olive, Myrtle, etc.

I don't ban "insult" names either, but I do rule that they are typically ShadowClan. They have a very dark sense of humor.

And yes I am the one with leader naming styles! So far these are the styles:

Bramblestar: terrible. Doesn't consider names beforehand, often comes up with titles that are awkward or unimpressive

Harestar: Reverant and thoughtful, tries to name based on friendships, interests, and quirks.

Mistystar: Names litters according to 'themes,' often sharing suffixes or picking similar ones.

Brokenstar: Only ever gives "cool" names with deadly and strong connotations.

Firestar: Names awkwardly, but genuinely. Surprises his Clan constantly with banger names (Lionblaze) or shockingly uncomfortable ones (Brambleclaw).

Onestar: Names practically, trying to limit suffix repeats and tonguetwisters.

So on.

Hi! First of all, love the AU and fic, I've been keeping up with it for about a year now and I love seeing new updates on it! Secondly, I was wondering two things... #1. Is Adderfang still Thistlestar's mentor in this AU? I don't believe we ever saw much of their Mentor-Apprentice relation in the fic if it existed, (likely because Adderfang hates Thistlestar so much xD) what was that like? Do you think Adderfang's reaction being so extreme was not only because he loves his daughter, but also because he felt betrayed at his former apprentice's actions? and #2. In Leopardstar's honor, a timeline is given for Mosspelt's pregnancy and relationship with Frogleap, and through another wonderful oversight by the Erins, Mosspelt apparently was pregnant while she was still an apprentice, from Frogleap, a cat who was ~4 years old. She gave birth around the same age as Spottedleaf had the Firesibs! I know that the BT timeline is a bit altered from canon, and that the fic pre-dates some later retcons from the series, like Volewhisper surviving. Is Frogleap having a predatory relationship with Mosspaw/pelt a thing that happened in BT? If so, what was that like for Mosspelt? Did she ever get any support in her hardships? did Dawnflower join the rebels out of a disdain for Thistlestar, knowing he has done terrible things like her father did as well? Anyways, that's about all. Sorry for such a long message! Thanks for putting so much time into your work and making such a great fic, and for taking the time to read my questions!!

yes Adderfang is still Thistlestar's mentor! i don't believe if it was ever mentioned in the fic or any one-shots, but he is lol. Adderfang's reaction was so extreme because Spottedpaw was his Precious Baby Girl and he very abruptly realized during the reveal how awful it was that someone in a position of power was getting with an apprentice (he would not have been so aggressive if this was a situation with a different apprentice and warrior---for example, Whitepaw and Goldenflower, or something. he cared and got protectively angry so much because it was his own daughter affected). the fact that Thistlestar was his own apprentice honestly didn't even cross his mind until it was over, and then it was just a very angry thought process of "i never taught him to be like that! (did i teach him to be like that?)" (yes, he taught him to be like that---not a predator, but he taught, unintentionally, Thistlestar to be more aggressive. remember, Adderfang was a part of Thistleclaw's groups that attacked kittypets for no reason.)

in BT canon, Mosspelt and Frogleap's relationship isn't touched upon much because I didn't realize how young Mosspelt was and also I'm not sure how much their age gap changes with the condensed timeline in BT lol. But! But! There are always hidden inappropriate relationships in the background (like, WillowTawny, although that's not really in the bg, but compared to SpottedThistle, GrassThistle, and DawnFinch, its not as prominent. also ShadeThistle is a bg bad-relationship. and i believe Cloudrunner x Morningflower would be one too, and there's definitely more. and future ones, like Snowbird x Scorchfur), so I do think Frog and Moss could be as it is in accidentally implied canon, where Frog groomed Moss. after all, most of RiverClan was pretty accepting of Thistle getting with Grass, weren't they? well, in general, it is---or was---unfortunately an acceptable part of clan culture. I do think that there is a multitude here; I think Frogleap is not as manipulative as Thistlestar, and cared more genuinely about Mosspelt and her emotions. While that does not make what he did okay AT ALL, I think Mosspelt did not experience as much negative emotions about the situation, and she doesn't perceive herself as being preyed upon. There are real life relationships like this, and they're definitely not ideal, and there's issues, but sometimes it just works out like that. i think there might have been issues down the line though, if Frogleap had survived, and Mosspelt had grown more as a person and developed differences in her personality than to how she was as an apprentice/young warrior. I'm getting "they died a happy couple, but if he had lived, she would have grown up and become more independent and he'd get upset at the changes, and then she'd divorce him" vibes

Dawnflower was one of Thistlestar's victims! it's mentioned a few times in passing that Thistlestar would 'go on patrol' with Dawnpaw, or look at Dawnpaw. actually, most young she-cats in RiverClan (Silverstream, Grasswhisker, Vixenleap, Shadepelt, Dawnflower, Primroseleaf, Feathertail, etc.) experienced some level of "creepiness" with Thistlestar. Dawnpaw/flower was one of the ones that Thistlestar would definitely say a bunch of weird shit to and touch her, but they never did anything past that. still, Dawnflower was scared shitless by him and terrified he'd do something she didn't want to him. she also just hated how aggressive/annoying Thistle and Lightning's rule was, so she left the instant she had an out (LeopardClan), though she was also really scared to leave her family/home behind, and worried for her siblings/friends. Dawnflower also definitely thinks of Frogleap (her dad) as a good warrior, and has no idea his and Mosspelt's relationship would have been similar to what she was experiencing (though, again, Mosspelt viewed Frogleap's attention as a much more positive thing, sort of like how Spottedleaf did with Thistlestar at the beginning. Meanwhile, Dawnflower was just always scared of his attention)

it's interesting, definitely, that Mosspelt stood against Thistlestar and what he'd done, yet never saw that she was victim to something similar too... though, to be fair, she joined LeopardClan because she supported Leopardfur as a close friend (through Frogleap) and knew Leopardfur was being unjustly accused, not necessarily out of a hatred of Thistlestar himself. much to think about...

I started writing a True Blood AU with the hopes of making it a multi-chapter piece but didn't get further than chapter one — and have since cannibalized the piece to use chunks for other fics. Tpb: Oh gosh, lot of contenders here.... Let's pick a random favorite....

The Tigerstar reveal. It's so... Cinematic, to me. I'm shocked I've never seen it in any animations! The drama of it, the realization for the reader that Fireheart is gonna have to tell Bluestar, and wondering just how far the new leader is going to go...

I'm gonna have to tie it with Bluestar's downward spiral. A lot of people hated her for it, and I think that's a shame. Stuff like this makes a story GOOD.

Runner ups: Silverstream being a brat but also making an incredibly good point about the Warrior Code, Yellowfang killing Brokenstar, Bluestar's death where she finally gets to connect with her kits, Fireheart saving Sandstorm (which I think they tried to replicate in TNP with CrowLeaf)

Tnp: This one is gonna be controversial, but I actually quite like the part where Leafpool runs away with Crowfeather. Mind you, I hate him, but Leafpool being happy? That was nice. That was the happiest I think we got to see Leafpool in a long time, and the be honest, I... Don't think we ever get to see her that happy again.

Also, just... The 4 Clans together. I loved seeing them finally work together for something that wasn't war. I have a whole AU for the scenario where they just... Never split again. They settle into 4 camps, but without boundaries. Cats go where they want as 1 huge Clan. I love AUs where the Clans fuse!

Po3: Okay, I'm gonna cheat because I.. Haven't actually read Long Shadows or Sunrise. Otherwise I could use the easy way out and say the Fire Scene... But I've never actually seen it!

My favorite scene is all of the ones with the Tunnels from Dark River, but specifically the ones with the GorseBeech kits. I still love Dark River. Perfect mix of slice of life and tension building. I love the darkness and mystery they hold, and how alive the environment felt. The earth was alive and it did not care if you drowned inside it. Also the kittens were adorable and had a lot of personality! It showed Heatherpaw being a natural leader and Breezepaw getting to be a kid.

OOTS: Oof... This one is hard. Oots is getting a bit blurry in my memory... I think I have a tie! In no particular order:

1. Redwillow's death, probably for all the wrong reasons. When I tell you I CACKLED at him getting One Punch Man'd by Blackstar after this dramatic edgy little speech... It was charming enough that I couldn't NOT expand on his character. While he is still getting One Punched, he and Ratscar do manage to take Blackstar down!

2. Dovewing realizing that The Dark Forest is about to attack. It's... Really not clear to me anymore what happened, I don't really remember it well, but I remember how it made me feel. I really thought we were gonna lose her. I can only describe it as "standing at a busy, happy party, looking out the window, and seeing a tsunami on the coast". That "Oh. This is probably gonna be bad, eh?" The battle itself I remember was confusing and a lot of running around while the writers scrambled on remembering how to write fight scenes, and I have my own thoughts on what cats should have went down and who should have killed who... But that might be it's own post. (Bluestar should have destroyed Thistleclaw, Ivypool should have destroyed Hawkfrost, and Brokenstar should have killed Spottedleaf)

AVOS: Okay, keep in mind I haven't finished book one, but... I can safely say that at least right now my favorite scene is the cats eating fried chicken out of the garbage. It's so... Cute! It's the calm before a storm, and Alderpaw calling it "freshkill" made me snort, like, yeah, sure bud, let's call it that. Funny that Sparkpaw had some, as her future son would go on to steal a whole ass rotisserie chicken from a fair. I think she'd be proud.

TBC: I HAVE SO MANY THOUGHTS ABOUT THIS ONE. Okay, yes, Bristlefrost's death was iconic, but can we talk about how horrifying the Prologue from The Silent Thaw?

Bramblestar watches his own dead body begin to move, assumes he is going to go back into it, only for its eyes to open, standing up without him, and beginning to speak with his Clanmates...

That right there, those 4 pages, sent actual chills up my spine. The thought of being in scenario is terrifying. Sure, we know from Lost Stars' final chapter that Rootpaw can see him and that Bramblestar's spirit and body are separated for reason currently unknown.... But Bramblestar doesn't know that. All he knows is that his body and mind are no longer one, and nobody knows except for him. That was bloodchilling.

Tbh I think it would have been better to cut Lost Stars chapter 24 completely, and just use that Prologue. Move the VioletTree family meeting to The Silent Thaw's early chapters and do not be afraid to actually hide your plot points.

ASC: Mistystar getting Ratio'd by Duskfur. As much as I desperately wish it had been more emotional.... God it was funny. It felt like a relief. Like... Finally, finally this is over. Riverclan has an interesting plot, a potential murder mystery (that later became a real murder mystery and then... Yknow).

I think another scene is The Curlfeather Reveal. Look I know the writing for it is sloppy, but the way it describes her looking calm and peaceful, speaking as if she's talking to one of her beloved children... WCR!Curlfeather was written with the song Brutus in mind. Elegant and brutal, and I wanna make sure she lives up the the image that much better done comics and fanart.

I saw your Dragon AU and I love it! 💖 But I do want to ask... What are the lu boys' elements? Like, you already mention that Warrior is a fire dragon, Time didn't mention what his element was so I was curious about their elements as dragons, maybe some of their dragon habits they unintentionally show while in their hylian forms too? (I imagine Wind as a wind dragon or sea/water dragon honestly.)

For the record, my blog is actually coming up on the third year. The asks with congratulating me on two years was because the last I opened the requests on the anniversary of the blog. There's still a lot of those to go around :D

Since I answered the element question in the other ask, let me address the other half of it here.

To answer your question if they show their more dragon half while looking more hylian, the answer is yes. Very much so.

They behave a lot like cats or bears would, depending on the boy.

They mark and scent and growl- all while fiercely protecting and hoarding their items and what not.

Thing is, I don't think dragon would be very easily accepted in Hylian culture because of all the damage they've tend to have done in the past. This was something that had grown over time since I like to think Hylians were the recessive gene.

So like, everyone on Skyloft is a dragon, but by Wild's time, it's just him and Zelda.

Zelda however, has always been a dragon. (This had nothing to do with Totk when it was thought up by the way. This was thought of before we even knew when that game was gonna come out.)

But because a lot of dragon have to had been fought/had been manipulated by Ganon and other baddies, being a dragon, or showing dragon qualities, were looked upon with fear, caution, distrust and disgrace.

They're actively hunted to ensure the "safety" of the people, forcing all dragon with the exception of the royal family to go into hiding.

Day 3: Negotiations

They met on the stretch of land between their two kingdoms. Arien, in full ceremonial apparel, an impressive crown of gold and diamonds forged by Mairon was set on her amber hair looked resplendent. Her faithful Anarnur, Servants of the Sun standing at attention behind her while her Lieutenant flanked her left. Eönwë looked mighty in golden armor, his wings spanning all the way to the ground. 

Varda was smiling dangerously at them and Arien took note of how her husband was not by her side. Good. Let women deal with this in a wiser manner. She had told Mairon to remain behind as well. There was no need to pour oil on fire. Yet. 

The Elder Queen had only bothered with two Maiar, their faces hidden behind blue veils. Arien was fully aware that the Valië was powerful enough on her own, and it was the main reason behind seeking the peace treaty. They had a common enemy after all, that would ask all of her focus.

“Let’s begin the negotiations then.”

Day 4: Misunderstanding

There had been some misunderstanding Eönwë thought as he stepped into the room - all nerves alight - only to find Arien’s consort lying on the bed, sprawled like a giant fiery cat. Bare chest and watching him with a mischievous spark in his eyes Eönwë was all too familiar with. 

“Ah our lovely Anarmehtar.” Mairon exclaimed delightfully, using Eönwë’s title in a way that was both indecent and mocking. Squaring his shoulders Eönwë looked around the room, trying to ignore the state of undress of the Maia in front of him.

“I was told the Queen wanted to see me.”

The other man only hummed in agreement before getting on his feet with a feline agility that betrayed his nature. “She certainly did. Come, and make yourself at ease.” The other man crooned, a wide smirk as he circled Eönwë like a prey. 

“I'm good.” Eönwë shot back, wings shuddering when daft fingers combed through some of his feathers. 

“Yes, yes you are very much.” The innuendo was not lost on Eönwë who eyed the other Maia warily. Finally, still looking way too smug for Eönwë's taste, Mairon left his personal space and resumed his lazy position on the bed while opening a book. 

“We've been discussing some arrangements that need to be dealt with Harad.” 

“And that could not wait until the next council?” He answered sarcastically only to wince when a warm hand landed in the sensitive place of his shoulders, between his wings. 

“I think I should like the three of us to be at ease. It certainly makes for an interesting decision making process, don't you think?” 

Eönwë bowed, face flushed with embarrassment as Arien strode in the room, wearing a soft dress of dark burgundy silk that hugged her curves in an almost indecent manner. 

“Come Eönwë,” the Queen gestured as she too sat down on the bed, eyes alight with a teasing fire.
