my ideal timkon don't get together until they've both already done some queer realizations and dated other guys a little bit, in part because on tim's end, i think he's been in love with kon since he was 17, but at 17 tim didn't even know he was bisexual, forget anything else. and his feelings for kon were so big but also so constant that he didn't even realize they were there or significant because they've always been there and been huge. for years. so he putters along and does his time in the torment nexus (the closet) and languishes a bit but slowly starts to figure it out.

meanwhile kon dates someone, mostly like omg im dating a guy this is ALLOWED !??!?! and its pretty lowkey and casual and doesnt last bc like . super identity issues, right. kon would Never just tell someone, but secrets and casual relationships dont last long etc etc. but just the entire principle of kon dating someone and then being like yeah idk im not really feeling it like hes nice and all but i think hes more interested in like… yknow, my hot bod, than me. its whatever tho. and tim just being SOOOOO mad that someone would date kon and not absolutely adore him. tim will not be unpacking why hes so mad about kon having a shitty boyfriend. obviously its just bc kons his bestie and deserves better. law and luffy are just like. what if I saw you at the peak of your miracle working competence, and then the literal next time I saw you it was at your most isolated and broken. and what if that moment of seeing you alone and grieving and terrified was the moment where I decided you were someone worth keeping, someone who I personally cared about and wanted around. how does that not make you wanna lose your fucking mind.

and then the other thing on top of that which always gets me is the way that you can just so clearly see that neither of them has any idea how to fit this relationship into any preexisting context - Luffy calls him part of his crew, but law is the captain of his own crew and would clearly die before giving that up; law calls them allies but it is glaringly obvious that they care about each other in a way that goes beyond that. of course Luffy is generally a lot less bothered about this than law, who routinely wants to put his own head through a wall about it, but it’s just such a fun layer to their dynamic I think.

#law is sitting there like NO NEED TO DTR. would you have any tips on how to draw rosettes? I’ve been practicing drawing markings for a while now but I still can’t get it to look round/circle-ish yet natural lmao

Thank you! and Rosettes are weird lil guys haha; here's how I do them!:

Rosettes come in a lot of varieties though! Some rosettes have more or less blobs, or sometimes they're just solid dots/blobs. 3 blobs just makes a good example for a tutorial because it shows how the blobs follow a circle shape

And by "cirular" i mean anything from a perfect circle, to a wide oval, to a rounded rectangle or triangle lol (leopard photo below from unsplash)

You could actually probably do step 4 first, and use that 'inner circle' as your circular guideline for your blobs! I prefer doing my blob lines first though so I can space each rosette out how I like (vs doing the inner circle first and later realizing that with the blob lines the rosettes are too close together)
