I hate the stretch lines in the front of Curly's uniform because that means the devs rushed to make a model in like a month or so and thought "They gotta at least know he has huge knockers, gotta know he's got back pain." Cause like what is the thematic importance of his tits having overhang?
What responsibility is that representing? Breast reduction? It shows an inherent greed in his character due to the excess and heshouldletmeholdone and that he clearly is blinded cause if he tries to look down his damn ladder all he's seeing is his own cleavage.

Thinking about the symbolic weight of smoking in the TLT universe that comes to the fore in The Unwanted Guest -- the way it moves through from person to person: Pyrrha smoked, and Augustine wanted to impress her in all her stone cold fox MILF James Bond glory (and tbf who wouldn't) so he started too. and even though as far as he knows she's been gone for a myriad and is never coming back, he keeps the habit. Ianthe sees something in the hollowed-out Faberge eggshell of Augustine that resonates with her, all that gilded eloquent emptiness and disdain through the ages, so she picked it up from him to try to emulate it. She picked it up so hard that Palamedes -- the exact spiritual antithesis of the 'smoking! on a space station! what a powermove' ennui Ianthe so admired -- spontaneously unnerded enough to even known how to, simply from a sort of contact contamination of the soul.
G1deon and Augustine sharing a jittery smoke after their near-Harrow experience during soup night, and it's the closest thing to any real sense of brotherhood that remains between them. Pyrrha going ten thousand years dying both literally and for a smoke (and then Camilla sold her fucking cigarettes (for a third of what they were worth, probably Pyrrha's own good, and also more importantly grocery money). what an entirely haunted time to be alive etc.). Augustine and Mercy trading a cigarette back and forth in the middle of their collusion over the love and murder of god.
An act of small and measured self-destruction in the name of something a little bit like connection when you're stuck somewhere in yourself where love itself dares not or cannot tread (ritualized, transmissible)..........

My logic/HC for why Lady dresses the way she does is that she figures any demon who hurts her will be able to hurt her regardless of whether she's wearing armor or not, so she might as well go for something with mobility to keep from getting hit in the first place. No point in wearing something that would restrict movement if a demon claw could tear your leg off whether you're wearing clunky armored pants or some easy-to-move-in shorts!
(Yes I know the real reason is that the devs like sexy minimally-clad women but let's just imagine it's the in-universe explanation okay)

They weren't quite what I was after#But after a point I just got double mad and started making up weird shapes!#And ended up happy with them :D#He looks quite different but I rather like all those aspects of him haha#Squinty eyes and claws and sharp teeth and a bit of a mullet haha#He's a hippy he deserves a mullet as a treat#And a pipe for good measure#And then if Wander was fun Sylvia was on another level <3#She has something of a Thraddash thing going for her which was not what I intended especially since I've never drawn a Thraddash#But I mean I'm not mad about it lol the Thraddash are pretty cool :)#I think her bottom lip is the real deciding factor there - it's a cool overlap shape! Very shape!#And I know she's got a comb but fluff was too fun not to try fjdsklafd#I do really love how Wander hugging her turned out there haha <3 They're so cute#And finally a differently stylized Hater! Heck! The sharp cheekbones sticking out from his hood is so fun to me haha#And I'm quite pleased with the how the little divot under his chin's shading turned out hehe#I haven't shown off much of my Skeleton Dance stuff which is a shame! milva’s character concept is soooo real though as a trope deconstruction because it’s like if there really was a sexy archer woman whose two talents are 1. being sexy and 2. archery, she would end up having a really complicated and devastating relationship with womanhood because of misogynistic men, and also because of the killing of said men, also to which she breaks down crying because her identity is tearing her in two. and the archery and bows take up 90% of her brain, so that it’s the only topic she finds truly interesting and wants to talk about. also she would be funny as hell and everyone would have died without her and she also would have died without them
