Day 3 - Jordan Tremblay (VTM: Parliament of Knives)

Ok, this one is pushing it a bit because Jordan's gender changes depending on what you say you're attracted to. I didn't realize that until Jordan popped up on my second played through as a guy lol.

Jordan is a romance option on Vampire the Masquerade: Parliament of Knives. I romanced her as an elderly vampire.

Anyways, the main reason Jordan is my favorite is because she's literally me as a vampire. She literally has my same idea. In her romance route, you discover that she's found an "ethical" way to get blood dolls. She's discovered a cult that worships vampires who are more than willing to become blood dolls to both you and her.

AND THAT'S LITERALLY HOW I WOULD APPROACH VAMPIRISM!!!

So much talk about hunting and feeling bad about it as if they're aren’t people down bad for the concept of getting sucked on by vampires. I swear, if a vampire paid me 200 bucks a suck, I'd do it in a heartbeat.

Other than that, it's really Jordan that helps kick off a lot of the story's major plots through her visions since she's a Malkavian and she's always eager to help on the adventure of finding Prince Arundel.

She's an honest treat and an example of not relying solely on mental illness to write a Malkavian character.

Parliament of Knives, Lasombra Astarion edition! Inability to see his reflection? Check. Weird family dynamics? Check! This Astarion will be starting from a position of privilege (I'm basically playing him as the magistrate, not the beaten-down spawn), but it's still very much a position where he's been manipulated by his sire. What will it take to break free? Chapters 1-5!

"Shadows," "Traitors," "Turncoats;" you've heard all the slurs for your clan before. But in instances where the name Lasombra simply won't do, you prefer to think of yourself as a "Magister."

In life, before you were chosen by Corliss to join clan Lasombra, you were… …a politician who was the true power behind a high-profile elected official. (+composure, +manipulation, +charisma)

Okay! Starting stats, as of the beginning of chapter 2 - MAN 2, COM 2, DEX 1, WIT 1, RES 1. Normally in VtM, these would all be 1 minimum, but CoG always handles things a bit differently. Definitely gonna work on that DEX, he can't be Astarion without good DEX XD

I'm not sure what choices I did to get to this point, but I'm getting an investigation I've never had before? Neat. I've done like six or seven different unique runs of this game and it's still got brand new stuff. I wonder if it's new from the DLC (I've only done one run with it, a Malk run) or if it's just… stuff I haven't got to?

A crestfallen young man has just been very publicly dumped by his girlfriend. Lending a sympathetic ear should get me close enough to feed. You approach the young man with a sympathetic smile and lead him over to the bar. Thankfully he's so distraught that he doesn't even bother to question your motivations. You buy him a beer and pretend to listen while he pours his heart and soul out to you in an endless babble of word soup that almost puts you off your appetite. Eventually you tune out and just nod at the appropriate intervals until he finally stops talking and swipes sweaty fingers through his long emo-bang.

Astarions gonna Astarion.

Man I super do not like Basaras XD;; That said, all the Lasombra stuff is extremely interesting! I do happen to know what Basaras' deal is, but it'll be interesting seeing how it fits into the larger PoK plot.

You slip behind the desk closest to the back wall, where a casual passer-by would be least likely to notice anything out of place, and get to your knees, fumbling with the USB drive. It takes you at least three tries to orient it properly to fit in the slot—you swear that sometimes these USB drives exist in 4-D space.

reading 'Qui: The Fall of Ottawa' by Jeffrey Dean these days. He said Qui rarely takes his hair up unless he's with company he is comfortable with, so i finished this piece for Qui/my Toreador MC Winona.

Which Clans do you think best fits the MCs of CoG and potential ghouls in Night road?

Ooh, good question! Will skip Out for Blood, since, well, quite a different game.

Night Road: I may be biased, but I genuinely love Banu Haqim here, for giving you that much more personal connection to Julian and Aila. If the Gangrel route had had Lettow as sire, that would have been great too, haha. I also really dig Ravnos, since there's literally an archetype for them that's just 'courier', and adds some really neat implied dynamics with the Gangrel-Ravnos thing. Caitiff also works really well, give that the Courier is so much an outsider without those connections.

For the ghouls - Vani seems to be a natural fit for Tremere, honestly, and she has that history with Caul - not too much of a stretch to imagine Caul ghouling or even Embracing her. Raúl I think would be an amazing Brujah, in my 'verse he and Pyre join Sierra's coterie, and she introduces him to his future sire, Nines. Elena I'm having trouble deciding on, unfortunately!

Parliament of Knives: This one is all about politics and the ambitions of your sire, so I think Ventrue is a pretty solid choice here. Toreador might work too, since so much of it is the social side. And yeah, Malkavian works really well, given some of the plot revelations.

Sins of the Sires: Honestly, they're all well-considered here, with every option but Thinblood giving you some sort of personal connection with the main plot, and Thinblood also letting you carve out your own destiny. Each playthrough is different depending on clan, with some endings only possible for certain clans, so really, there's no bad choice here!
