Ensnared in each other's arms, you grudgingly relent and fall back into the slumber of the dead, skin cooling, heaving breaths gone still, hearts stopped. Bed warm.

Sheriff Qui Fanart + PSA: "Qui : The Fall of Ottawa" FREE on Patreon (unofficial, but by the author of PoK)
Tumblr media
(I painted this in October 2021, but as you see he slighly looks like a hot lesbian. I do still really love the texture though.)
PSA: The author of "Vampire: The Masquerade: Parliament of Knives" ( @jeffrey-dean-author ) has a new and shiny Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/greekwinter Were he also posts fresh and tasty Qui content. (You want it.)
I saw some obscure comment on reddit ages ago, but could absolutely not find him here...took me another reddit comment to figure it out. So in case there are like 1-2 people here, that struggle like I did and instead just haunt the "sheriff qui" tag in hopes of fanart.... Here u go! (I will also add that old attempt at a Qui Fanart to the top, bc I certainly wont ever post it otherwise. And I feel bad about not posting things, bc even silly lil drawings of Qui make me happy...so I am withholding happiness. Even if the likeness is off. I tried!) The Werewolves series is also great btw. You should read/play it. Also if anyone sees this, that has not infact read/played the amazing "Vampire: The Masquerade: Parliament of Knives" , ... you should ASAP. Romance Qui, obviously. ..This is not an AD, germans do not sue me. I just really love these and want people to make more fanart because I clearly am not doing it. :')

Which Clans do you think best fits the MCs of CoG and potential ghouls in Night road?
Ooh, good question! Will skip Out for Blood, since, well, quite a different game.
Night Road: I may be biased, but I genuinely love Banu Haqim here, for giving you that much more personal connection to Julian and Aila. If the Gangrel route had had Lettow as sire, that would have been great too, haha. I also really dig Ravnos, since there's literally an archetype for them that's just 'courier', and adds some really neat implied dynamics with the Gangrel-Ravnos thing. Caitiff also works really well, give that the Courier is so much an outsider without those connections.
For the ghouls - Vani seems to be a natural fit for Tremere, honestly, and she has that history with Caul - not too much of a stretch to imagine Caul ghouling or even Embracing her. Raúl I think would be an amazing Brujah, in my 'verse he and Pyre join Sierra's coterie, and she introduces him to his future sire, Nines. Elena I'm having trouble deciding on, unfortunately!
Edit: Elena here!
Parliament of Knives: This one is all about politics and the ambitions of your sire, so I think Ventrue is a pretty solid choice here. Toreador might work too, since so much of it is the social side. And yeah, Malkavian works really well, given some of the plot revelations.
Sins of the Sires: Honestly, they're all well-considered here, with every option but Thinblood giving you some sort of personal connection with the main plot, and Thinblood also letting you carve out your own destiny. Each playthrough is different depending on clan, with some endings only possible for certain clans, so really, there's no bad choice here!

Beau would be the overprotective kind of sire. I'm talking the Karen on the PTA. You fuck with his kid, he'll ruin your life. And he spoils them. So much.
Izzy is the type to teach the important stuff then disappear for a century or two before barreling back into your life without so much as a by-your-leave.
Madelaine has a very hands off approach. She arranges for others to do most of the teaching but is very affectionate and supportive in other ways.
Eleni is the tough love type. She'll beat the lesson into you until it sticks, figuratively and literally. Then once she's broken you, she'll rebuild you from the ground up.

Finally getting a second playthrough in for Parliament of Knives. My literal only goal for this playthrough is to romance Qui. Naturally, went to Picrew.

Hobbies include simping for the local sheriff and pretending that she doesn't have an imaginary friend that wants her to commit sin for the vibes.

Hi! I hope it's okay to signal boost this so more of the VtM fandom sees it. I've seen people referencing a couple Discord servers who do text-based chronicles, but I'm not a part of them. World of Darkness, (the company) has official Discords, and, if memory serves, they have a channel dedicated to players and Storytellers finding each other. Here is the join link, and if that doesn't work, then the Discord link should pop up if you search "world of darkness discord" in your preferred search engine.
That being said, there's nothing wrong with playing solo! World of Darkness has text-based video games which are pretty similar to playing a chronicle, and they have tons of lore! Vampire: the Masquerade - Sins of the Sire (which was a Nebula Award Finalist), Parliament of Knives, Out for Blood, and Night Road are entirely text-based interactive novels. Find them here. All are out and available. There's also a pair of visual novels: Coteries of New York and Shadows of New York. Find them here on Steam. If you want to throw some major cash around, you can get these games, plus a Werewolf one, in this one Steam bundle.
Welcome to Vampire and the World of Darkness! I hope you have fun. :D
Hello everyone! I am currently looking for a safe space to learn how to play ttrpg (specifically dnd and vampire the masquerade). I struggle with severe social anxiety and the thought of joining in on a campaign or one shot scares me. I’d much prefer a text-based situation as to alleviate some of that anxiety. I love the lore of both ttrpgs and have been AVIDLY playing BG3. Please dm me if you have a discord pertaining to learning how to play and/or a text-based play style.

Okay, three questions to answer here!
Are they good? Generally, yes, they are! In particular, Night Road is sometimes considered the spiritual successor to Bloodlines, and is definitely my favourite of the four. It has a whopping amount of choices, to the point that I’ve put in over a hundred hours into different paths and still haven’t seen everything. Parliament of Knives is a really great game focusing on the politics between the sects and amongst the Camarilla on its own. Sins of the Sires, to me, best exemplifies ‘personal horror’ - it’s possibly the most depressing of the four, but I think it’s a beautiful game. And Out for Blood wasn’t so much for me (you play a mortal investigating vampires in a small town), but it does have its fans.
How lore-relevant/canon are they? They are written to be canon, yes! Some do take some liberties with mechanics, largely to fit the actual gameplay style (for instance, Night Road disciplines only go up to three dots and the powers aren’t necessarily Rules As Written, and a Thinblood PC in Sins of the Sires can be pretty OP), but storywise, they’re definitely intended to be a part of the larger V5 metaplot.
Are they all worth it? Depends on how much you play. These games are designed to be replayed, taking different choices each time. If you just do one single run and leave it at that, then yeah, they’re a bit on the pricey side. You’re also only getting a fraction of the content. But if you actually delve fully into the games, make different choices, play different characters, really get into it, then they really do end up being good value. Night Road and its DLCs are AU$21, which is a lot for a single run - but when you’ve got over a hundred hours out of it, continually exploring and uncovering new stuff, going through eight hundred thousand words of content, then yeah, it’s absolutely worth it.
question to the vtm fandom, are the interaction fiction games (night road, out for blood, parliament of knives, sins of the sires) any good and how relevant/canon are they in the general lore? they're a bit on the expensive side, so idk, are they all worth it?

Love me some Princes who can actually back up their status. Finished Parliament of Knives and found it quite satisfying to see Arundel make it quite clear who led Ottawa and, in the bad ending at least, show them why he’s Prince. Then there’s Lettow, who despite the wording in the SI ending is apparently implied to have lived and simply gone east, with the text mostly being self-assurance by the Courier hoping to avoid dealing with him.
Wait, my mistake, I was looking at a different post earlier, turns out Lettow did meet his maker in the SI ending. Whoops! 😅
Yeah, definitely implies he bites the big one. Pensive emoji. Sorry about that, Lettow!
Honestly though, I would love to see a meeting between them. 250-year-old baby Lettow complaining about oof ow his bones, and 700-year-old Arundel just giving him this look...
They're very different characters, though, not just in terms of age. Arundel sees himself as A Leader(tm), and being Prince was something he actively worked towards. Lettow... sort of ended up Prince by accident and by virtue of being the eldest Cainite left in Tucson (and because he killed the last one for being a tyrant). He's taken on The Mantle Of Responsibility(tm) because he has no other choice, whereas Arundel took it on willingly. I do wonder if how much of Lettow commenting on his age is just by virtue of him feeling he has to be The Elder(tm) in order to be seen as legitimate as a Prince.
...That's a lot of (tm) haha.
Arundel? He doesn't have to prove it. He knows he's powerful, so he's able to act a little more relaxed in his everynight life, and it's not an act. He really is that chill with what's going on. Lettow being chill is him actively throwing away his current responsibilities and letting himself, say, hunt a near-methuselah through the California desert and it's an indulgence he knows he has to enjoy while it lasts.
But yeah, very interesting characters, both of them.

So like Madelaine didnt realize at first how she was falling for Kashif
Up until that point, she was only ever attracted to women/feminine-presenting individuals and then suddenly Kashif arrived at Corliss' office all angry and Madelaine went O.O
But she played it cool cause shes not the type to make a scene, then he took down two guys when they were hunting Tremere in the sewers, and he was all righteous when he told her his plan to assassinate Corliss, and then he broke her out of her cell, and suddenly shes in Waterloo living day-by-day and wondering wtf she did to get to that
Its only after all that chaos that she gets time to actually think about what shes been doing (and a swift knock down by Sevinc) that she realizes
And at first she panics because wtf she only liked women???? But when Kashif has a knife and does that twirly thing with his hands she immediately decides that yes she likes women, but also she just likes Kashif and it's not fair for him to be so like that.
It still takes them almost 6 months to get together tho
