Thinking about Steve helping you wash your hair when you’re tired and overwhelmed. Thinking about how he cups his hand over your forehead and eyes as he tilts your head back into the shower spray to rinse the suds out of your hair. Thinking about the little soft things he would say as he’s doing it.

“There you go, just close your eyes.”

“Move closer, baby. I’ve got you.”

“All right, sweetheart, I’m here. You’re okay, I promise.”

Honestly, I pretty much have this already except I desperately want one of those chairs that you can sit on in a million different ways. You know what I mean. The neurodivergent bisexual chair. Anyway.

Everything else...a lovely view, plants nearby, space for my laptop and my beverage goblin drinks, solitude (apart from the dog and the cat if they want to hang out), a window to open in the summer and a radiator to turn on in the winter, candles, music (usually a character or WIP playlist).

Hey hey! While doing a little scrolling I went to read a Bones/reader fic titled Kiss Me on your Star Trek masterlist but it leads to a Thranduil/read fic (first kiss) (which was very good but definitely not Bones ����) just wanted to let you know! Master lists can be so touchy I swear lol

i have finished the safe haven baby fic she shall be out tomorrow at dawn (midday) but you can have a tiny little snippet from the no rizz kink fic for @jamietarts

It all starts in the station parking lot the morning after their second date—it just kind of spirals from there. Eddie follows him out to his Jeep, which isn't entirely unheard of, but the jittery energy that's been emanating from him for the last few hours of their shift is completely uncharacteristic. It sets Buck on edge. He's grown, he's back in therapy, he's learnt to trust Eddie with his heart as well as his back, but there's always going to be that quiet little voice telling him that Eddie's about to call things off between them.

Except...

Well, that's not what happens.

"Okay, I understand why Hen and Chim get so irritated when my leg bounces in the engine now," Buck mutters as he turns to face his shadow. Eddie blinks at the sudden attention, shoulders hunching.

"H-hi, Buck," he says.

"Hi, Eddie," Buck says slowly. "Want to tell me why you've been following me around like a little duckling?"

idk if this is a wild take but I’m only 43% in and I’m pretty sure that Blood Over Bright Haven is what RF Kuang could have achieved with Babel 🤷🏻‍♀️

edit: now I’m wondering if I’m singing this book’s praises too much. not rlly I’m still withholding judgment bc there’s still so much to cover but so far yeah it has achieved a lot already LOL
