Well fuck it, the end of the world is near
(I randomly thought "man, I love Destiny so much" and was possessed by this sincere all-encompassing feeling of affection for its every component and character and lore aspect, even with all the flaws and missed potential and things I want to change and like. what just happened)

So now I am picturing Frisk asking Sans who he thinks the two of them would reincarnate as if they were to die and Sans replying "dunno, but it'd be neat if met again" and then it literally switching to the Witness (in the place of Frisk) and Savathûn (in the place of Sans) and like what I am supposed to do when my brain comes up with shit like that

When the Witness is happy or just in a good mood, everybody knows because it would literally start glowing: its skin would be beaming— very softly, never hard on the eyes, but evident all the same, and when it is particularly good, it would even show a rainbow silhouette
It is also one of the few instances its body seems to actually exude heat, as it is usually as cold as a blade, and its presence feels less "sharp" and "cutting" as a consequence, like you could actually reach him and not get hurt
It must be a thing left by the Traveler when it still blessed their people and that was etched deeply into its core like a parting gift from it, something to remind it of home (too bad the Witness's head is always too cluttered in obsession and sorrow to resonate it with it more often)

Do you think the Witness can cauterize its own wounds if it heats its hand up?

Thinking about the possible Witness/Eramis and Savathûn/Calus parallels again.
Thinking about how Savathûn and Calus knew no gods, born in a system that was either kill or be killed, taught no other way to survive but to fight and play dirty to get to their end goal. And when things settled well enough, when their effort finally paid off, the universe still found ways to screw them over, but nevertheless they got back to work because that is how life is, there is no point in wasting time crying over what is lost: the important thing is to learn yourself anew, never remain at the mercy of the tides.
Meanwhile the Witness and Eramis never had to get their hands dirty from the very beginning, were blessed with a life basking in the Light and when they had it denied they spent the rest of their existence chasing even as much as a glimmer of it, trying to chain it back to their side, all the while actively ruining the lives of those around them in a desperate pursuit. They were so dependant on their god they ended up paralyzed, unable to carry on, and could only lament their loss like the pathetic wet kittens they were.

Mmh, now what's this?
I 100% expected the Epic song to win, but apparently the Crane Wives are stronger, I'm not against it
Everybody loves me offered a good competition at least
And thanks to the cultured people who listen to RafScrap, you are the real ones
(give a listen to Riell's King tho, it's a cool song imo)
Thanks to all the people who voted ✨
I will get back to work now
I can't promise it will work, but it'd give me something to focus on

@flowers-of-io I formally require your assistance :3
Small crack theory that is fucking with my brain lately, so I gotta share it with the competent people
We're talking about the Osmiumson triplet again because the brainworms are so back
I always wondered, whenever reading the part where the sisters eat the worms, why only Aurash was the one to switch gender (because I would assume Xi Ro could have potentially morphed into a male knight), but then the other day I actually gave more thought to the matter and started putting the pieces (or at least what looked like pieces) together because this game encourages critical thinking
In the Predators entry, Xi Ro mentions that the Helium Drinkers eat her other sisters as tributes whenever their court drifts closer to that of Osmium. In the follow-up entry, Taox defines the triplet as "the last surviving heirs", albeit specifying none of them is fit to reign
At this point, it appears clear to me that the Osmium King's progeny only includes female children and it is possible that one of them is eventually chosen to become the next king (like some insects in real life are able to switch gender for reproduction purposes), all the while any other daughter can consume the mother jelly and become mother: that is how the Krill assure their survival
Now, Sathona states a couple of times that she intends to eat the jelly and be the next mother (and queen?) of the court. It would then make sense that Aurash, eating the king worm, becomes a male and consequentially the new Osmium King (since the choice was between either her or Xi Ro)
HOWEVER
because there are no other surviving heirs but the triplet, that would leave us with the implication that, if the bargain with the Worm Gods had never happened, the new children would have been born from the union between Sathona and Auryx
Again, I only assembled what looked like pieces, I might be just tripping. I hope I am tripping. Please, Hive experts, tell me I am tripping.

Another reason why this new saga (which will hopefully bring back permanent content, gods above) is good for me is that it frees me of the "obligation" of keeping up with Destiny's narrative
I can finally take this expansion as the renaissance I need to focus on the fics, art, animatics and essays I have been cultivating since 2018 without the anxiety of losing stuff that I miiiiight like, since most of the characters and related narratives I am interested in either are dead (Cayde, the Speaker, Fikrul, Ghaul, Calus, the Consul, the Witness), exhausted their narrative arcs for the time being (Caiatl, Misraaks) or were straight taken out of the picture and the Traveler only knows when they'll be relevant again (Eramis, Savathûn, Eido, Xivu Arath)
All in all, it's a win for everybody

Okay so
I actually checked EoF Italian content and... the voice acting is there?? But we are suspecting of AI usage???
I have no clue, I'll be on the lookout
Lodi's VA is not bad tho
I just learned that from now on Destiny 2 won't be having an Italian dub anymore
To "cut costs", I read
