TRAILER!!!!!!
Most important thing to end our fears and debates: Eramis IS in this season and she is AGAINST Fikrul! She says that he must be stopped.

goddd the mission being called something left to say (as opposed to the last Forsaken mission, Nothing Left to Say). Fikrul saying he "i inspired, avenged" because that's exactly what Uldren told him to do. Fikrul's first instinct being denial, because if you really think about it his entire second life with Uldren- his purpose- is a lie.

"Fikrul" and "Rizz" are two words that should not be in the same sentence, but here we are.

still reflection; crow ficlet
inspired by this amazing art that i just can't stop thinking about. ough? introspective crow, mostly about fikrul, but also about identity and choices. also on ao3 tagging @anactualmoth as promised 👀 might not be quite what you expected but 😅 i had some thoughts
The bathroom is filled with translucent clouds of steam as Crow steps out of the shower stall. His skin has acquired a purplish tint, scrubbed clean and raw of the dark Ether.
He brushes his hair back, running his palm down his neck. It does not hurt, yet the pressure is still there, a memory of Fikrul holding him. He believes deep down that Fikrul did not want to hurt him, simply couldn’t. He escaped by what one could only call an intervention by the Guardian. And even so, Crow wishes he could talk to Fikrul again. To make him see reason, to pull him over the thin line. Their bond has transcended all the laws of physics, for how else could it be when Uldren brought to life a dead thing.
Crow’s guts clench as he thinks of the Traveler, of himself, a dead thing.
He remembers his discussions with Fikrul. They were often lengthy, in-depth. They talked of the nature of things, of devotion, of dependance. Crow remembers his voice going hoarse from talking, the endless talking. Fikrul’s ever patient listening. His hoarse plea, “Father”.
Crow shakes his head and lets out a shaky breath.
Condensation drips down the tiles of the bathroom, reflecting what little light there is. The mirror above the sink is murky, and Crow brushes his fingertips across it, revealing a reflection of his eyes. Bright, golden, they stare at him, and for a moment it is the eyes of someone else.
Someone who was mad, who’s heart was mangled by the Darkness and compassion that could not find purchase. Who, for all intents and purposes, had good intentions, and with them paved the road to hell.
Crow blinks at his reflection.
“You did this,” he mutters. Yes, he tells himself. Look into your own eyes, don’t you dare looking away.
He reminds himself he can fix it. He will try, again and again. This is something he and Uldren have in common. That streak of unhealthy stubbornness, a goal set in mind and heart - and the path towards it, per aspera ad astra.
Crow shakes his head, he reminds himself that he is Uldren. Where there were two, there is only one now, holding both memories close to heart and mind. Balancing between two truths. Memories connected with a fine web of light and darkness, promises and decisions.
Guilt is gut-wrenching, guilt is a knife. He avoids thinking about questions that are worth asking. Did he do this to Fikrul? Is this all his fault? Is this something he must pay a price for? Was one not enough?
Crow stares back into the mirror, the soft overlay of mist dissipating, letting him see more of himself despite the darkness. He feels exposed, even in this small bathroom, with four walls pressing around him. Crow feels stripped of his defences. The reflection of him is gaunt and melancholic.
For a moment he hesitates, then reaches to where his hair is brushed back. He carefully moves it, allowing the strands that have slightly dried to fall over his eye. Familiar, unchanging. Still him. Someone that Fikrul wanted to see. Someone that he had to leave behind.
He looks at his reflection firmly. Pulls the hair back and away. Unobstructed, candid. Still him.
Crow feels the choices in his palm, laid out from the moment he wished Fikrul into the world of the living. His responsibility. His wayward child. He only hopes he would not have to end that particular wish in a pool of ether-touched blood.

Uh...sir, can you come pick up your son? Yeah no, he keeps turning the other kids into zombies and just generally reviving those who are supposed to stay dead. Yeah, he keeps waving his staff around and saying things like being 'reborn through extinction'? Sorry for any inconvenience.

This is Crazy
You know whats an insane implication about the Screeb hatchlings?
It implies the Scorn can reproduce.
Tumblr media
Not only are they're numbers able to increase for every Dead Eliksni, but they could keep making more.
Its gonna be very important this next season with Fikrul.
Because since the Witness' defeat, hes the only being that we know of that are able to raise Scorn. And with whatever that fragment is, its changed them somehow.
In this week's video they called it a Vampire hunter season. So are the Scorn able to make more scorn with a bit now?
This post Witness era just started and its already going crazy.

my hope for Revnant is Fikrul gets a small Eramis treatment. like dudes a violent nihilist but hes suffered his freinds deaths, betrayed by his "father" and saw his children effectivly be ,mind controlled by the Witness and has been trying to get them back I totaly see what hes doing in Act 1 as a sorta overcompensation. Make sure the Scorn are numerous and strong enough they cant be controlled again. Im not saying hes a soft hearted good guy but hes intresting and complex and his connections to Variks, Eramis and Crow make for an intresting way to view Eliksni culture from somone whos uttelry rejected it idk i hope that this story ends with Crow giving Fikrul the same chance he got and if he dosent accept it at least not go full cackinling skeletor evil
I would also like something similar, especially after all we've learned in Warlord's Ruin about how Fikrul didn't ally his Scorn with the Witness and wants to give them a separate life. Which makes sense with the Echo; he now has the extra ability to do so with the power of the Echo.
I have no clue where they might go with him. It could go literally anywhere, but I would enjoy seeing him fleshed out more and given some level of ambiguity overall. Kinda like yeah, he's an enemy but also he's not as bad as the Scorn that are sticking with the Witness. Fikrul wants a real and proper life for his Scorn; there's really no way out of this, we can't undo their existence so having some Scorn be ... maybe not allies, but at least neutral would be interesting. Though obviously there's a really big conflict between Scorn and Eliksni simply because in order for Scorn to exist, Eliksni have to die so that sucks a little bit.
I'm also interested in the little we've seen about the Dread hanging around with the Scorn. Since the Dread are the Witness' creations. But without the Witness, they may also be changing and seeing potential allies with other ex-Witness forces.
Really curious to see where Revenant will go with all of this.

Destinytober - Found Family
Read on Ao3
Pirrha. Yaviks. Reksis Vahn. Araskes. Hiraks. Kaniks. Elykris.
Old names. Old blood.
You took your vengeance, dead thing. You razed and killed. You took my friends and you took my Father and you took my children and you took pleasure in our suffering, over and over. Bathed the Shore in our blood.
It brought you glee, I'm sure. This destruction, this fury. Intoxicating. Your uncontrollable bloodlust, taken out on all held dear.
You avenged your friend, and you took mine. Say their names! Pirrha, Kaniks, Araskes. Reksis Vahn. Yaviks, Hiraks, Elykris. You killed them. I watched you crawl over their corpses all the way to Father, to me.
We are alike, dead thing. You took your vengeance, and I will take mine. A friend for a friend. Over and over, a never-ending dance.
Face me. Show me what you are. See yourself reflected. A corpse animated by fury, purposeless, hollow of meaning, killing just to kill. Face me!
I will show you your end.
