I don't know how to explain it but like THIS is why the Eliksni will always have my sympathies and my utmost respect. In D1, The Cabal Empire was ever looming on the horizon, promising more soldiers and a greater invasion. The Hive had gods and courts and powers we couldn't even fathom at the time. The Vex were an enigma plaguing time itself with the implication that they have already won. But the Eliksni were just there. Holding themselves up with scrap and community and intellect. No power. No gods. No one to look to but the biggest and strongest among them, no matter how ruthless and cruel. Nothing to worship but machines of their own creation, designed in the image of a god that left them to die (in their eyes).

Oh Eliksni, no one could ever make me hate you.

While I'm not discounting the possibility, I feel like it's setting up Eido as the one to do it. She has been described as the future of the Eliksni. So it would make sense for her strength to be that of the voice and wisdom of the past, both through her advisors like Eramis, Variks, Spider, and Mithrax and through the Echo. I also think her getting the Echo will allow her to cure Mithrax as I'm not convinced these bubbly juices are gonna do it. However if Eramis does get it, we are in for a whirlwind of complaint and backlash.

The craziest scenario is: Eido gets the Echo, can't cure Mithrax, we kill Nezarec in Mithrax's body and Eramis sacrifices herself in the conflict, Eido resurrects Mithrax with the Echo (not into a Scorn) and Eramis gets resurrected by a Ghost, due to exhibiting the 3 Guardian tenets. That's all unlikely, but it would be funny tbh

So do we think that Eramis is gonna be the one who gets the echo just because it’s been a whole thing that Eramis as a character thinks that she’s unworthy of leading her people, even though she is a really good leader, as long as she learns to focus her energy on the Eliksni people and not as revenge on the traveler for the whirlwind
