“ball” - Jegulus microfic - @into-the-jeggyverse - 305 words
Regulus is sitting on the couch with one foot tucked under him and James’ feet in his lap and he’s absentmindedly playing with the hem of James’ joggers. He’s reading a fascinating book Pandora got him about the interconnection between Greek philosophy and mythology; James is reading a magazine that Regulus has never heard of. Regulus is getting lost in the moment until he hears Sirius snickering from across the room, he tries to ignore it, but Sirius doesn’t stop.
“What?” Regulus looks up, annoyed.
“You guys are the literal embodiment of ‘you know how to ball, I know Aristotle’.” Sirius chuckles.
“Did you just compare us to a Taylor Swift lyric?” Regulus raises an eyebrow.
“I mean…” Sirius gestures between Regulus and James.
“You mean what?” Regulus narrows his eyes.
“What are you reading?” Sirius asks instead of answering.
Regulus reluctantly looks at his book about Greek philosophy then just glares at Sirius who cackles in response. “So? James is also reading?” Regulus tries to justify.
“James, what are you reading?” Sirius asks.
Regulus looks at James who’s trying very hard not to giggle when he says, “FourFourTwo.”
“I don’t even know what that is.”
“It’s my football magazine, love.” James tells him with a chuckle.
“Face it, Reggie. Your relationship is a walking, talking Taylor song.” Sirius leans back with a smug smile.
Before Regulus can respond, Barty and Evan walk in the living room and throw themselves on the other couch. “Hey, Sirius? You want to play video games with me and Ev?” Barty asks, unaware of the current conversation.
James and Sirius look at each other and burst out laughing.
“Oh, for fuck’s sake.” Regulus mumbles and rolls his eyes.
“What?” Barty looks between the three of them.
“It’s Taylor’s world, Barty. We’re just living in it.” Sirius tells him.
“Well, obviously.” Barty rolls his eyes.

Prompt 28 - Poorly Timed Confession
@wolfstarmicrofic - May 28th, 472 words, non explicit but still NSFW
Sirius' curtains fall closed in a hurry as James opens the door. He narrows his eyes at his best friend's bed. This is it, James thinks, he cannot take the secrecy and blatant lies anymore.
"Padfoot, I know you're awake and I know you're in there," James says, walking to the bed.
"Don't open the curtains!" Sirius' voice has a frantic tone to it, and James almost snorts. So much for a man who was resting a terrible migraine.
"Headache, still?" He's not above torturing Sirius a little bit longer.
"Uhm, yes! Yes, exactly, the light, it's, uhm, too bright" Sirius says, sounding breathless, voice hitching at moments. James rolls his eyes, how could Sirius ever think he could hide this from him, from him.
"Oh, I thought you'd feel better by now, maybe we ought to go to the infirmary, Pomfrey probably has a potion for-"
"No, no! I, uhm, ah- rest! Yes, rest is, ah, what I need" Sirius says, voice strained.
"Right" James deadpans. Some dick from your secret boyfriend too, probably, he thinks, glaring at the closed curtains.
"Ah- anything, uh, anything else, Prongs?" Sirius asks, and well, James wasn't planning on it, but now he can't help the smirk on his face.
"Actually, Padfoot, there is something" James bites the inside of his cheek to avoid laughing. For this to work, he needs to sound like he means it.
"Mmhm" Sirius prompts him, but it sounds even more strained than before.
"You see, Sirius, I have something I need to confess" James says, laughter choking his words. If Sirius weren't otherwise occupied at the moment, James is sure he would have been caught already.
"Prongs, uhm, ah- this is not the best moment, mate" Sirius groans.
"No, no, it must be right now, I can't keep it any longer" James knows his voice is full of fake remorse, but Sirius, still, hasn't noticed.
"Aha, tell me, uh, then"
"Oh, but I'm so afraid you will not forgive me, Padfoot" James bites his cheek again, he can practically hear Sirius' frustrated groan.
"I'll forgive you, ah, I forgive you now, Prongs, it's fine, whatever it is, ah- uhm, it's fine" Sirius says, and James smirks before blurting out the most unhinged thing he can think of.
"I'm dating Regulus"
"YOU WHAT"
The curtains are dragged so hard that they come off the rail, revealing a very naked Remus, with spit all over his face, kneeling near the end of the bed. James has only a second of victory before Sirius jumps off the bed, the thunderous frown on his face at odds with the way his cock hard against his stomach.
James sprints, reaching the bathroom with just enough time to close the door in Sirius' face. His laugh is drowned by the sound of Sirius slamming his fist on the bathroom door, promising murder.

Prompt: Rat | @moonwater-microfic | Words: 562
"You can't tell anyone, Remus," he implored.
Remus nodded, growing concerned. He could count on two hands the number Regulus had called him by his first name in the time they'd known each other, and each time it was always something quite severe.
"Are you okay-"
"There's a rat in our common room."
Remus stared. Whatever he was expecting… it wasn't this. Surely by fourth year Regulus knew people brought pets with them.
His bewilderment must have shown in his expression.
"It's none of ours, it just comes in and snacks on crumbs, or lurks in corners. It's disgusting. I swear it came up on the train or something. It makes me want to-" He mimed something resembling vomiting.
Remus shrugged lightly. "Maybe it's Peter."
Regulus' eyes widened, before his face broke into a grin and he was engulfed in unusually raucous laughter. It was moments like these that Remus could see him and Sirius for the brothers they were; their shared laugh. Not that he'd tell them that.
"I can't believe you," Regulus said, composing himself again. "Why would you say something like that? I thought you were friends."
"We are," Remus agreed. "But really, if you're worried about it why not… feed it to a snake, or something?" He paused at the expression on Regulus' face. "You don't like rats, do you?"
"They remind me of the basement at home. I only went down once but the door-" he shuddered, visibly paling. "No, not a fan. Anyway, where am I supposed to get a snake from?"
Remus' brows rose. "You mean you really don't have a pet snake in your common room?"
Regulus blinked. "Why would we? I mean, do you have a lion?"
"Of course not, but then my house isn't called Roarin either. I just thought-"
"You're an idiot sometimes." He'd file that away under his very short Slytherin love language list.
Remus' lips quirked. "Get a trap, and we'll take it out into the forest. Or give it to Hagrid."
Regulus began to look uncomfortable again. But then, resigned, he nodded. "Fine. I suppose I'd better go. Got an amateur extermination business to plan, apparently."
"Amateur?"
"I'll call myself a pro when we've got rid of this one."
"Well… try not to kill it." He turned to walk away.
"Why not?"
"Just… don't. For me."
His heart skilled at the softness in Regulus' eyes as he turned to look back at him. "Why would I do anything for you, Lupin?" Ah, back to Lupin again.
Remus grinned, "Because I'm an idiot, remember?"
Two hours later, Remus was back in his own common room again still reeling in the memory of the way Regulus' face had collapsed into a free, soft laugh. It was beautiful, there was no other word for it.
He'd barely put a foot on the step up to his dormitory before he heard the voices coming from above.
"-BROTHER TRIED TO KILL ME, SIRIUS! Fucking hell James, I'm not doing that again. Next time, one of you sneak in."
"I'm pretty sure they'd notice a giant stag- Hey, Remus. You're back. Pete nearly got snuffed-"
"I told you to wait 'til he wasn't there. Regulus always hated rats."
"Moony, next time you see your boyfriend-"
Remus sighed. Maybe he should have said please try not to kill it.
He really was an idiot sometimes.

Wolfstar - "He is just my friend" stage
Remus meets the others again after the vacation, starting sixth year. Sirius has spent his holiday at James'. He is in his very muggle clothes, his parents would die when they saw him. Very tight, leather jeans, boots, crop top. Fucking sexy. Leather jacket. Makes him look very cool. Long, curly waves of hair, neatly applied eyeliner, pretty. And he has piercings now, three earrings in each ear, a helix in one of them too. Went full out. Remus quite frankly does not know what to do or say. Luckily, Sirius is also quite stunned because Remus is so tall now and damn that's hot. And that new scar across his nose must have hurt but that makes him even more handsome. And where has the lanky man gone and who was this hunk?

@wolfstarmicrofic | Rictusempra | 450 words
Sirius is an idiot, who forgot his collar bones were covered in hickies that he had refused to let Remus heal. An idiot who couldn’t apparently wait to get to the private bathroom to get changed. Now James wouldn’t let up on finding out who gave them to him.
“So what’ll it be, Pads? Tell us of your own volition or suffer the consequences,” James smirks devilishly, waggling his fingers in front of him in a tickling motion from across the room.
But even the threat of James making him laugh like a hyena with a well cast rictusempra won’t make him tell. Sirius shakes his head, lips pressed tightly together.
“You asked for it—“ James says, twirling his wand. “Rictusempra!” He casts, and Sirius closes his eyes, bracing himself for impact. But it doesn’t come— instead, a small crack in front of him indicates that a shield had been cast to block the spell.
His eyes fly open just as James shouts, “Hey what gives Moony!”
Sirius’ eyes follow James’ line of sight to Remus, who hasn’t even looked up from his book.
“He doesn’t like being tickled.” Remus says flatly. Sirius sees his wand still in his hand as he turns the page.
“Which makes it the perfect way to get information out of him!” James argues.
Remus raises a brow, and looks up, amber eyes glittering in the low light. “By torturing him?”
James gawks, mouth opening and closing, unable to think of what to say. Sirius is glad no one’s looking at him, because he’s red as a tomato. After moments of fumbling, he says quietly, “I just wanted to know. We tell each other everything.” James turns to Sirius then, his expression crestfallen. “Who is so important that you can’t tell me?”
Sirius deflates, hanging his head. “I’m sorry Prongs. They’re not—“
“It was me.” Remus interrupts, Sirius’ head snapping up to gape at him.
“What?!” James shrieks, and Sirius winces, but he’s focused on Remus, his boyfriend, who has set down his book and opened his arms to Sirius.
He doesn’t hesitate, dashing across the room and sliding onto the bed, slotting into Remus’ side. The place he has made his home. His eyes are still on Remus, and finally, Remus’ challenging glare leaves James and turns to Sirius.
“Hi,” Sirius says dumbly.
“Hi,” Remus smiles at him, tucking his hair behind his ear.
“Are you seeing this wormtail?” James shouts gleefully. “Moony and Padfoot! Look at them! Oh this is the best day.”
Remus snorts, and Sirius buries his head into his shoulder, Remus leaning down to rest his cheek on his head. “Love you.” He whispers, feeling Remus’ smile against his hair.

Leather and Cinnamon | Wolfstar Bingo
It's that time of the year again! The @wolfstarbingo2024 is here.
I'm supposed to be working hard on my Big Bang fic so naturally I instead spent the whole day writing 13k words of... well, this.
I've had this idea for a long time and I think I started it over a year ago, but now I finally found the inspiration to finish it (while also crossing off one of my prompts). So here it is.
Title: Leather and Cinnamon Pairing: Wolfstar Rating: E WC: 13.2k Prompt: One night stand Summary: Remus hasn't got laid in a while, but that's okay. That's fine. He's been busy raising a son, thank you very much.
Now, however, Teddy is off to university and when Remus goes to Brighton to drop him off, they stumble over a coffee shop in the south lanes. It's a cosy little place with a barista who has silver eyes and pale skin and an arse to die for.
Remus hasn't got laid in a while, but that's okay. That's fine.
Read on AO3.
Snippet below the cut:
“I’ll order,” Teddy said as they entered the coffee shop, nodding towards a table by the window. “You can take a seat.”
“Oh really?” Remus asked, a little amused. “You’re paying too, then?”
“Obviously not,” Teddy remarked casually. “I’m a poor student, remember?”
“Sometimes I think you just spend time with me for my wallet.” Remus sighed wistfully but Teddy merely grinned at him, snapping his fingers.
“Money, please.”
“Maybe I want to order,” Remus said, but Teddy was already snatching the note from his fingers.
“Please,” Teddy scoffed. “Like I’d trust you with my order.”
Remus looked fondly as his son sauntered off towards the bar, unable not to smile to himself. He honestly couldn’t get his head around the fact that he had an 18-year-old son who was now heading off to university all on his own.
It had felt bittersweet, packing up Teddy’s boyhood room. He knew the day would come eventually, and even though he was excited for his son, he couldn’t help but feel a bit sad as well. They had driven down to Brighton together, their old little car stuffed full of (almost) everything that Teddy would need for the coming few months.
They had spent the day getting his room in order before Remus decided it was time for him to head back home. Teddy had agreed to a coffee before he left though, and Remus was set on making the most of the time he had left with his son while he still had the chance.
The café they had picked was in the south Lanes and had a bright red door with rainbow flags decorating the windows. It was the name that had drawn Remus in though, Baskerville’s Hound written in bold letters over the painting of a big, black dog.
The place itself was cosy enough, with paintings decorating the walls together with black and white photographs of Brighton and random people. The walls were painted in a dark blue colour and the furniture was all mismatched and clearly second hand, but still in good shape.
Teddy returned without drinks, pulling out the chair opposite Remus and slumping down on it, shrugging as Remus raised a questioning eyebrow at him.
“They’ll bring it out,” he said, slouching back on his chair.
“Any chance you got a change on that twenty?”
“Sorry.” Teddy grinned at him, pushing a hand through his longish hair, currently a bright orange. Remus had long since accepted that Teddy opted to change his hair colour as often as other people changed clothes, and he enjoyed seeing him explore. “Consider it a contribution towards your only child’s education.”
“Ah, yes, never mind the 9K tuition fee,” Remus deadpanned. “It’s the change on the coffee that’s going to make the real difference.”
“I’ll need pocket money.”
The corner of Remus’ mouth twitched. “You need money for beer, you mean.”
Teddy threw his arms out. “It’s uni life, Da.”
Remus snorted just as the barista approached the table, clearing his throat.
“A latte with a dash of cinnamon and…whatever this monstrosity is,” the barista said, and Remus tore his gaze away from his son to the man standing next to their table.
Remus found himself doing a double-take at the sight of him. He didn’t know why he’d expected a student, but this man looked to be roughly his age. He was tall, muscular, with tattooed arms and wearing a simple white tee-shirt underneath a light apron with a large black dog printed on the front of it.
There was the hint of a stubble over his very chiselled jaw, high cheekbones and long, black hair pulled back in a ponytail. It was his eyes, however, that caught Remus’ attention. They were a light sort of grey that reminded Remus of silver, seemingly drawing in the light around them. They were dancing with something that looked like amusement as Teddy sat up excitedly.
“That’s mine,” Teddy said eagerly, reaching for the tall glass topped with a hefty dollop of whipped cream. “Cheers, mate.”
“I take it you’re the sensible one then,” the man said, the corner of his mouth twitching as he turned his gaze on Remus, placing the mug in front of him with a little wink. “Enjoy.”
Remus couldn’t help staring as the man walked away, gaze taking in the dark jeans and heavy boots.
“Earth to Da!”
Teddy’s voice pulled him out of his thoughts and he flinched, accidentally burning his hand as his coffee sloshed over the rim of the mug.
“Fuck,” he hissed, grabbing a napkin to wipe up his spill and when he looked back up, Teddy was watching him with a mischievous sort of twinkle in his eyes.
“You alright?”
“Yeah,” Remus replied quickly, clearing his throat as his voice came out weirdly rough. “Fine.”
“I said, are you coming down with Ma next week?”
“Oh,” Remus said, taking a sip from his coffee to distract himself momentarily. “Dunno, mate. D’you want me to?”
“You don’t have to,” Teddy shrugged. “It’s just cause she couldn’t be here this weekend.”
“Right,” Remus nodded. “I’ll be there if you want me to.”
Teddy waved it off, pulling his phone out of his pocket as it made a chirping noise.
“Don’t worry about it,” he said, eyes on the display as he quickly tapped out a message. “Aoife says there’s a group heading to the pub tonight.”
“That sounds like fun,” replied Remus as his gaze darted over to the bar, just briefly, catching on the man who was wiping down glasses and humming to himself, the muscles in his arms flexing. “You should go with them, make some friends.”
He only tore his gaze away from the man as he heard Teddy’s snort, and his son was watching him with an unimpressed sort of expression.
“What?”
“Make some friends?” he echoed, pulling a face. “It’s not pre-school, Da. It’s uni.”
“What?” asked Remus, a little affronted. “You don’t make friends at university?”
“No,” Teddy said assuredly. “You just…get to know people. Hang out.”
“Right,” Remus said, giving a solemn nod. “My bad. You should go with them and hang out then.”
Teddy rolled his eyes and huffed out a breath before he turned his attention back to his phone, and Remus pressed his lips together so that he wouldn’t smile. His eyes darted briefly back towards the bar, where the man was now stacking mugs.
It would be in Brighton where a random barista looked like he’d stepped right out of one of Remus’ wet dreams. He looked exactly like the type Remus would have been madly in love with when he was younger, and, it turned out, his taste hadn’t changed that much since then.
Remus hadn’t dated much in the past few years as Teddy was growing up. It wasn’t that it had been impossible, Dora had managed to move on just fine after their amicable split, and her dating life had never affected Teddy badly, he just hadn’t prioritised it. Ever since Teddy had moved in with him full-time when he was fifteen, Remus put his own dating life on a shelf.
Dora had told him he was being ridiculous, that Teddy was more than capable of handling his dad dating, and Teddy had even told him so himself. He’d even encouraged Remus to get out there, claiming that it would do him good to get laid. It wasn’t a lie, Remus knew that, but he had simply prioritised raising his son over hookups.
He knew it would be different now though, with Teddy off to university and Remus alone in their house. They had been joking about it, and Remus was happy that Teddy was starting his own life as a young adult, but he couldn’t deny that it would be strange.
He and Dora had been so young when they became parents. She had still been at university, and he had only just completed his Bachelor's Degree. He’d been a parent for all of his 20s and almost all of his 30s, it felt wild thinking that he was approaching his 40s with more independence than he’d had in a long while.
“Right, I gotta go,” Teddy said suddenly, his voice yanking Remus out of his thoughts. “Sorry, Da.”
Remus shook his head, smiling a little as he stood. “Don’t worry about it. Time for me to head back home anyway.”
Teddy nodded, watching him for a moment, his blue eyes searching over Remus’ face and he looked so serious suddenly.
“Are you sure that you’ll be okay?”
“Shouldn’t I be asking you that?”
Remus couldn’t help but smile a little at the troubled look on his son’s face, the half-grimace as he gave a brief shrug.
“I’ll be fine, Da.”
“So will I,” Remus replied, smiling a little as he pulled his son close for a hug. “Don’t worry about me.”
“Can’t help it,” Teddy muttered against the crook of his neck before Remus released him. “I worry about you all alone in that house.”
“I think I’ll manage,” Remus said as he clasped a hand on his son’s shoulder. “I used to have a life before you, y’know.”
“Barely,” Teddy replied with a snort, the corner of the boy’s mouth quirking upwards as Remus swatted lightly at him.
“Oi, don’t get cheeky.”
Teddy laughed, seemingly unfazed as he leaned a little closer, stage-whispering, “You could always stay and chat up the barista, eh? I can see you ogling him.”
Remus had a horrible feeling as he was blushing as Teddy threw a meaningful look towards the man behind the counter and waggled his eyebrows suggestively.

So… I have an idea for a Jegulus, Regulus-centric fic.
It would take place in modern times, where Regulus is a university student, has a loving family, he and his brother (Sirius) are best friends, is a super close friend of Remus, who is his brother's husband and he is engaged to James, who he loves very much.
But one day he has an accident where he hits his head hard, and when he wakes up he is in a place he has never seen before. Without him knowing, he woke up in Hogwarts, in the 70s. And he is very confused, because what do you mean he is a student at a magical school and he is no longer in 2024? He had no idea magic was real. Besides, apparently here he and his brother hate each other, just like James hates him. Since apparently he is extremely cruel, a supremacist and a follower of Voldmort. Regulus has never been so confused in his life and he just wants to go back to his world. The only thing that didn't seem to have changed was that his brother and Remus were together, even in another universe. But one of the things that hurt the most to see, besides Sirius and James' contempt, was the pure hatred in Remus's eyes directed at him. Apparently he had done something very serious to deserve so much hatred from people he loved so much, and the worst thing was that he had no idea what it was.
In short, it would be a story with a multiverse. Because Regulus from Hogwarts and the one from the normal world would have suffered an accident at the same time, but the spirit of Regulus from the real world ended up going into the body of the one from Hogwarts (and the one from Hogwarts died in the accident, rip). But obviously no one knows that, and they just think that Regulus woke up strange. Because Hogwarts' Regulus would actually be someone VERY cruel, a friend of Snape and a faithful follower of Voldmort. But Regulus, who came from the normal world, is extremely kind and a loving person. And he wakes up super confused in a world he knows nothing about. In addition to feeling completely lost without his brother, best friend and fiancé, who hates him in this world. And he tries to pretend he's Regulus from Hogwarts, because he's afraid they'll think he's crazy if he tells the truth. But some people are starting to notice how different he is. Like Sirius, but he's super suspicious, thinking he's planning something, because the Regulus he knows would never be kind to a Muggle-born.
I won't write the story, but I really wanted to read something like this… if anyone wants to write it, please tell me and I'd love to read it. Or if you know of a fic with a similar plot, please send it to me.
