Artist Usopp who has the most vivid dreams of Sanji ever since he can remember, this mysterious blond growing alongside him in the unconscious world. So he grows up, goes to art school, gets his degree, and starts the path of a starving artist. Not a lot of people buy his art, but he keeps making it. He never liked showing the overwhelmingly large collection of sketches, paintings, 3D prints, carvings, clay figurines, literally anything he could make of Sanji. It felt too personal to show anyone, but people would inevitably see them, as he can't stop doodling the man. They keep saying that's what he should be promoting as his work and how people would pay big money for those, but he always doubted it.

A time came where he could feel the "starving artist" title a bit too literally. With regret, he took his friend's advice and sold a painting to some random guy. The man came back with a friend - lover of the arts and before Usopp knew it, he was selling the blond of his dreams to collectors and museums. He started making marble sculptures, now that he could afford it, like the blond was a greek god, an angel sent to feed him in his most desperate times. Usopp knew such a man didn't exist, but it was nice to have him in his dreams at least.

Well... that was until one day Luffy sent him a video. One of those memes where people went to galleries and posed with victorian portraits that looked like them. He captioned it with "lol rly thought it was him for a sec". Usopp thought this would be another video forgotten in the waves of spam Luffy liked to send, but as the different people went by, suddenly, Usopp felt cold sweat down his back. It was the blond. He looked exactly like the man in his dreams... no. that was the same man. He was absolutely sure of it. He had been drawing and studying that face, those hands, the colors and curves all his life. That was him!

He desperately tried finding him, but all he had was a private page and that was it. He couldn't get any clue as to who he was from the user name "LetHimCook" or the bio saying he was 21 and a rat and a cheff's hat emoji.

Usopp gave up hope for the time being as he was supposed to finish a project that was the biggest in his career so far.

The day to present it had come and Usopp stood there, nervous, talking about his art while snobbish-looking people hummed as if they understood anything about his life's work. Some of the asked questions that he absentmindedly answered, but then someone from the back, who Usopp couldn't see asked something that caught his attention.

"I have two questions if I may. Firstly, who is the inspiration to this "dream" collection? It seems to be more about a lover than actual dreams. And secondly, have you ever considered doing an auto portrait?"

The two unrelated questions caught him off guard, and he didn't know how to say anything about the first one without sounding insane, or the second - without sounding depressed.

"Uhm, interesting questions." Usopp cleared his throat. "You see, uh..." he tried finding the words but they died on his tongue when the asker came into view. It was him. "It's you." He said accidentally out loud.

"I beg your pardon?"

They look at each other for a long second. Usopp couldn't tear his eyes away from the blue haunting his every day and night. "Sorry, I- I didn't answer your uh-" Usopp stuttered, trying to keep any semblance of dignity he could. "I don't like doing self portraits, I've made a few but the model kind of sucks." The people laughed with him but the blond only gave a small smile.

"I would love to see them some time, as I'm sure I'm not the only one."

How could this man leave him speechless every time.

After the Q&A bit was over, Usopp tried his best to avoid small talk from the guests so he could get to the blond before he left. But by the time he got there, Sanji was talking to someone, it would have been extremely awkward to join in.

"Hey, Usopp!" The man who was talking to Sanji turned, and oh God it was Luffy.

The artist didn't know if he should be happy or a bit scared. Luffy dragged Usopp into the conversation and it started flowing quite easily. It was not long before Luffy left to see another friend of his but his absence didn't make it uncomfortable. Usopp learned the man's name, that he loved to cook and that he had been a fan of his work for a while.

Agreeing that Sanji would get a "private tour" or the rest of Usopps (not displayed works), the "party" ends.

On their way home, Luffy hits him with a "It was so funny seeing that guy flirt with you all night."

Usopp, stopping dead in his tracks: Who?

Luffy: Blond guy who kinda looks like your obsession drawings...

Usopp malfunctioning: .......... oh...... . .. . . ... OH!

When they finally arrange a date for the "private tour", Usopp keeps an open mind, trying to see if he really WAS flirting. But then they get to the half-assed self portraits Usopp made of himself and, honestly - Usopp never wanted to show them. He wasn't all that good-looking, he didn't like how they turned out, he hadn't put in any effort and most of them were more reminiscent of grotesque caricatures than the usual realistic beauty he was used to painting.

"They're not really - I mean I mostly made them out of boredom, I- I don't really like them and- and-" He tried to excuse himself, but when he looked at Sanji, he lost all his words. The blond was looking at the paintings and sketches with such awe and sympathy. He reached out to the painted face, the tips of his fingers barely grazing the surface.

He looked back at Usopp, causing his breath to catch in his throat.

"You're far too mean to yourself." Sanji said, faint, barely audible. His eyes widened slightly as the words escaped his lips as if he didn't mean to let them slip.

On instinct, the deep-rooted self-loading Usopp had harboured all these years bubbled just the slightest. "Haha, or maybe not enough."

But then Sanji turned to him seriously, lips in a thin line, a bit hurt. "In... in an interview you once said you're glad the public liked your art, because you wouldn't bare sharing a piece of your soul and seeing anyone insult the man who's haunted your dreams." A stuttering breath. "So, I'd like to request you don't insult the man from mine..."

They laugh at the deaths of Palestinians, hate on trans women, support AI art, are ableist, rude as heck, and will use vulgar insults on basically everybody. I've also seen them try to start a hate campaign against a mutual of mine.

Usually, they will pick a fanart and reblog it to turn it into a hate post entirely unprompted, hence I am warning fandom in particular. I have seen them reblogging another user's post on Hinata a whopping 16 times in a row for that purpose. They are also incapable of having an actual discussion, no matter what it's about or how polite you are. They absolutely will try to attack you personally.

They hate Hinata, SasuSaku, Naruto and Gai. On the other hand, they love Neji a lot (so if you are a pro-Neji account, odds are that they are following you).

💫This is how Star stared at La Primera after being informed that they need to go to Area Zero once again

Doodles and first introduction to the mess that is my Pokemon Scarlet mc oc! Star!

I could talk about pkm sv for hours! I absolutely had a blast playing the game all dlc’s included! (The epilogue was the funniest thing I didn’t expect to see in that game to be completely honest!) As i have Scarlet, i will be going off of that version when it comes to any difference about the content inside!

Star is traumatized by the canon story line of the base game, can’t say all the other kids aren’t as well, as Star was just barely 14 when that all happened

Star have very big crushes on all their close friends that he doesn’t realize until after their first trip to Kitakami, and then dose the worse job at talking it over with all 3 of them separately before disappearing off to be an exchange student at the BBA for a few months (only Penny gets the slightest idea what he was talking about and then spam their rotom phone until Star decides to finally answer all her questions)

Intro

Hello, and welcome to my blog, where I give your kitties warrior names! You can call me Aster, or Astertail. I use any/all pronouns. This is a sideblog of @aqsvaporeon!

You can submit your own cats in my ask box, or tag me in posts with kitties that you think would have pretty cool warrior names!

When naming a cat, I'll give them a name, rank, and maybe even do a quick doodle of them, if I have the time/motivation. I'll try to do at least one post a day, sometimes more!

Requests

When submitting your cat in the ask box, I'll ask that you give me their name, gender, and optionally, a little about their personality (it can influence the name!) If you want to be anonymous, then tell me and I'll screenshot the ask with your name blacked out to answer it (Since you can't put photos in anonymous asks)

Please don't spam asks! I will try my absolute best to get to everyone's cats eventually. If you spam, I won't answer your ask.

Crying into my tea on a Sunday morning... god, I am so touched by this, I'm just falling apart...

Let me respond to this sequentially, so I don't just get flooded with emotion (and if you've been watching how I post, you already know this is going to be long as fuck... Sorry! 🥲)

1. I am absolutely okay with NSFW blogs interacting with me, and spam interactions don't bother me at all! The only interactions I don't want are from minors and dickheads, haha. No worries on this, peach.

2. Fewer people interact with my fic than with my art, but when I tell you I treasure every single thing people say about my fic... god, there's just nothing like it. My fic is so, so close to my heart. I've been a writer much longer than I've been an artist, so I feel like I can really express myself through writing in a way I can't with art... I'm trying, but I'm not quite there yet! God, thank you so much for your kind words... I am so grateful that the warmth and love I feel when I'm writing is felt by others, too. I really try to capture the very essence of how these characters and their emotions feel in my mind and heart.

And you like the lore, too? 🥺 My long-winded rambling? My wordy expositions? God, my heart! 😭💙

3. I am so happy to know you met your partner in this community, too! I am really wishing the best for you, and yes, it absolutely can work out! My spouse and I are very different from each other, but we are still best friends after six years, and I don't see that changing any time soon.

4. I feel like this community tends to be younger, especially here on Tumblr, so it's kind of refreshing to hear from someone in the same phase of life as me. If there's anything I didn't expect, it's that I would still be exploring my feelings about tickling (and, well, intimacy as a whole) well into adulthood. It's funny how things come back around, though... I was making tickling doodles in my diary when I was just a kid, but I stopped (and, stopped drawing altogether, really) after high school. Had to work through a ton of shame, religious trauma, and just a metric fuckton of other shit, all to come right back around to doing tickling doodles again, haha! I was delighted to find that, at 30 (and with a whole lot of new experiences and context), it still makes me just as giddy now as it did then.

All of this is to say... There may be common threads throughout one's life, but we aren't really set in stone the way people think. You can absolutely discover, and rediscover, yourself and what brings you joy over and over again as you grow and have new experiences. If I can give any advice on this, it's this: Don't close yourself off. You only have this one life, so use it to experience all you can. Even if you're shy, like me... do your best to lend a kind word, an ear, or a hand as often as possible. You never know who, or what, is gonna set your soul on fire.

i'm really sorry to break your bubble but.. the doodles i do when i respond to asks are not done with an art app haha.. i drew those in a notes app that i use while taking notes from a lecture.. though if you're still interested, it's called collanotes!

the actual art apps i use for my serious art (which has not been posted yet but shh it's coming i promise) are procreate and ibis! usually i draw on procreate and add some extra effects and do fixups on ibis.

i use an ipad 3rd gen pro and an 2nd gen apple pencil!

Scrimbly Jacquelines 23/52: tfw you're stuck in an au where you are DEAD and you miss your wife and your brother has shit timing

So idk if you guys know this about me, but I am absolutely in love with @kscribbs's one shot "The Forgiven", which was her sequel to "The Jacqueline Dies AU", which will one day have a better name (how are we all feeling about "The One Where Jacqueline Dies" as a title? Yay? Nay? Should I go back to the drawing board? I'll go back to the drawing board). In fact, I'd go so far as to say I am OBSESSED with it.

SO MUCH SO that one of my fave pass times is spamming her on any and all platforms about a what if scenario in which Lucy and Jacqueline from ML/CS get stuck IN The Forgiven Universe for really cool badass stuff and what SHENANIGANS ensue??

This is one of them. Deffs a classic crack idea. Loosely inspired by this. I imagine it goes something like this:

"That's a lot of sprinkles, Winnie. That's more sprinkles than ice cream. Lacking a bit of sugar in your life? A little bit of sweetness, perhaps?" Winnie looked up from her sugary ice cream sundae, eyes hard, face haggard. "I miss my wife, Jack," she said, adding more sprinkles to her ice cream. "I miss her a lot." Unsure how to reply (an apology? Condolences?), Jack decided it'd be best to disengage, slowly backing out of the kitchen and quite glad to look for Lucy elsewhere in the Willow as the can of sprinkles (by far a Costco sized jar) trickled out of the lid, landing on top of the rest of the jar of sprinkles that now topped the ice cream.

She's in a glamour! Disguised herself as a more summery sprite and is going by Winnie, short for Winifred (Winter, actually, it's her middle name, but best not be giving away who she is—Father Time hadn't said she couldn't, but he did specify that it'd be best to not to while she and Lucy worked to complete their goal!), hence the thawed hair and red tones, lol. Fun fact: my dark brown prisma colour is NOT dark brown. source: I have dark brown hair and it does NOT match the pencil crayon!

ANYWAY, now that the scrimble is up (I drafted this post Thursday night but only got around to doodling it towards the end of the night--was way too focused on sweeping CS) some general art musings:
