If you need help finding certain information, have questions, etc etc, feel free to shoot me an ask or DM! (I know the pages kind of break on phones, although you should still be able to view images!)

RULES:

-The deadline is December 1st!

-Most of the characters don’t have ref sheets, just rendered images of them! If you can’t find a reference for an element of a character, be creative! It won’t dock you points at all, I don’t care much about details! (This goes for childhood versions, too! I didn’t get around to making all of them designs for that, so if that’s what you decide to draw have fun with it!)

-You don’t have to read the character pages, although art that includes information from them will absolutely win ya some brownie points!

-You are free to take creative liberties (as long as it’s not dramatically changing a character’s size or race), put characters in alt outfits, etc! Change the colors to fit how you draw characters / your artstyle, exaggerate stuff- have fun!

-Gore, angst, etc is alright by me, as well as animalizing characters if you want! As long as art isn’t suggestive or unethical, go crazy! (Though for ship art, please stick with the few “canonized” ships, which are as follows: Koji and Mieko, Hana and Hotaru, Kiko and Honda, and Aika and Natsuki! Though you can draw Hotaru flirting with whoever you want. He weaponizes that as much as possible)

-Including canon characters is welcome and encouraged! Cute art of younger versions of the characters (whether they have official younger renders or not) and their parents is so, so welcome!

-You can draw any version of the characters, whether it be the killing game versions or the childhood versions!

-Oh my gosh PLEASE have fun with this, PLEASE!! It’s okay if it isn’t 100% accurate!! I DON’T CARE!! I’m so easy to please! Come up with your own little AUs or headcanons! Go crazy!

-Your entry can be anything, from a doodle sheet to a full art piece to a comic to an animatic!

WINNERS:

I will select two winners, who will each be given a fullbody art piece of their character drawn by me! (I can also draw an AU version of a character, if that’s what you want!) It will be a single character on a transparent background, and will be fully colored and shaded! The picture below is an example!

I will also select at least three other winners who will colored doodles of their characters! This is for the art pieces that I absolutely adore but were maybe just won out by other pieces, or pieces that have something I really love about them! I also might end up doing more than three, I’m really excited about this!

Harumi is actually a naturally gifted prodigy with the sword. But Peko never taught her the dangerous techniques, so Harumi has to work harder to surpass her mother. Unless it’s specified, you can assume Harumi can smoke any of her siblings in a sword fight. Her personality is very Ranma Satome.

Biografia:

Hotaru sempre foi aquele tipo de garota que, quando colocava algo em mente, queria ir até o final e nada podia a fazer mudar de ideia. Isso é, nada além de sua própria família que tentava a todo custo moldar a pequena para um ideal que eles pensavam ser o melhor para ela. A japonesa e eles não tinham uma relação ruim, mas também estava longe de ser perfeita, não importa o quanto ela se esforçasse para ser uma criança que lhes dava orgulho.

Quando ainda era adolescente já demonstrava a sua paixão por música e dança, sua família se mudou para a Coreia do Sul e Hotaru viu ali uma oportunidade, poderia se tornar trainee de uma grande empresa e quem sabe assim debutar com aqueles grupos de k-pop que ela via na televisão e sonhava em poder estar lado a lado com eles. Entretanto, nesse período ela também era só uma jovem cheia de vontades. Estudava em um colégio interno e sempre se sentiu limitada, saía por aí fazendo o que queria e tentando viver um pouco da juventude que seus pais tentavam conter. Foi assim que o pior aconteceu.

Em uma noite, mais bêbada do que gostaria de admitir, acabou se envolvendo em um acidente com suas amigas, algo que quase custou sua vida. Caiu em um lago e se afogou, não tendo quase memória nenhuma do incidente até acordar em uma cama de hospital. Ali ela percebeu que poderia ter arruinado tudo, botando em risco o seu próprio futuro. Ela foi tirada do internato após o acontecido e passou a estudar em casa, só saía para suas aulas de dança decidindo focar totalmente em seu próprio sonho, e por um tempo deu certo.

Hotaru conseguiu entrar em uma empresa, deixando seus estudos de lado porque ela sentia que estava cada vez mais perto de conseguir o que queria. Graças a suas habilidades foi colocada na line-up final de um grupo que debutaria em pouco tempo com mais outras cinco garotas, entretanto rumores e polêmicas começaram a se espalhar. Notícias sobre um passado conturbado, problemas no colégio e supostas relações íntimas demais que ela tinha com outras trainees e antigas colegas. E antes mesmo que ela pudesse estrear o seu sonho foi roubado de si.

Foi afastada tanto do grupo quanto da empresa, se vendo obrigada a voltar para a casa de seus pais, humilhada o suficiente enquanto se curvava e pedia desculpas pelo seu fracasso. Os dois a acolheram, era sua única filha afinal e não se importavam com nada do que era dito sobre ela. Hotaru sabia que tentar voltar para a indústria seria difícil e ali ela se viu perdida.

Começou a tentar levar uma vida normal, mesmo que ainda conectada com sua paixão, dando aulas de canto e dança para crianças até que conforme os anos passavam sua experiência lhe levou até conseguir um contrato com uma academia onde poderia ser instrutora de dança no local. Estava longe de ser o que ela queria, mas pelo menos era algo. Se mudou para um condomínio, alugando um apartamento que cabia no seu bolso já que não queria continuar dependendo de sua família, sabia que o tempo não corria ao seu favor e para as empresas ela já estava velha demais para tentar de novo. A japonesa tentava lidar com suas frustrações, buscando encontrar algo que realmente a fizesse se sentir bem consigo mesma de novo.

Ya'll loved my other writing it was so sweet! Thank you, truly. Here's another Naruto thingy I wrote a couple of years ago, I'm really not sure if I'll ever do anything with em so please feel free to message me about em if you liked to write more for it!

Hotaru took deep, calming, breaths as she glanced around at all the clan heads, even the fucking Hokage was here. She wiped her sweaty hands on her pants, a tic quickly caught by the other occupants in the room.

  "Tanaka Hotaru, do you know why you've been called to this meeting?" A middle aged man speaks up, a Nara by the looks of it, his face is relaxed and neutral but his eyes are assessing constantly taking in every fleeting emotion that crosses her face. She nods slowly, gulping as she rubs her hands together, god she felt like she was gonna pass out. 

 "Am...am I in trouble?" She mumbled quietly, mind racing on if this was gonna end badly for her. Was there some secret clan law that civilians couldn't possess kekkei genkai? Are they gonna make her become a shinobi? She can't fight to save her life, let alone anyone else's! Wait- Would they remove her eyes and give her new ones instead? Oh god. She liked her eyes. Thank you very much!

 "No, you're not in trouble. But there are some things to sort out, which is also why we had you do blood tests before this. You possess a highly powerful kekkei genkai, 'The Sharingan.'" The Nara from before answered, pausing for a moment as he watched her reaction before moving on. "It shows you have Uchiha blood on your mother's side. And from some miracle you have awakened your sharingan. You understand how rare this is, don't you?" Nara asked seriously, looking her right in the eyes. Hotaru nodded, because she really did. It was rare for a civilian ever to awaken a kekkei genkai because of the lack of training. So when she glared at them with anger, bright green eyes seeping into a blood red, the shocked looks she got in response was expected. 

  "So...what does this mean for me?" Hotaru spoke louder this time, gaining some reign of her spiked anxiety. This time, it was an Uchiha woman who spoke up. 

 "You will be offered a spot in the clan and if you wish, will be taught to wield the sharingan. 

  Ah. She stared for a moment longer before shaking her head.

 "No. Thank You."

Sentai OC Design Update

Was talking about OCs with some people and I thought it wouldn't hurt to try drawing my 2011 team again after who knows how long and maybe give them a bit of an update.

More Info under the Cut

Three sisters born with special powers and connections to animals passed down in the family. They live in Tokyo with their grandparents sponsoring them from Kyoto after losing their parents. While they don't look or act like it, their family is one of the most influential in Japan. No one knows because the Family gave themselves a common name to blend in with the rest of society.

Akane

The Eldest Sister and Leader of the team. She controls Fire and her connection to wolves grants her abilities similar to them.

She's very protective of her sisters which can sometimes make her overbearing. This is mainly due to the fact the three lost their parents to the enemy during a botched sealing ritual and she couldn't risk losing what's left of her family.

The only person keeping her grounded is her girlfriend, Hotaru, who also acts as her voice of reason. Sometimes the girls' paternal uncle tries to help but he has to call Hotaru when he knows he can't do much.

Design Notes: She wears a lot of high collar shirts to hide a scar on her back that is visible when she wears crewnecks. She avoids having it seen because Tomoko doesn't remember the event that caused it. She prefers keeping it secret from her sister in fear it'd trigger a panic attack in the younger girl.

She also wears two earcuffs. One to represent herself and the purple represents her girlfriend, Hotaru.

Tomoko

The Second Sister and the Next Head of the Tanaka Family. She controls the element of water and has abilities similar to a mouse but most of her focus is on ice.

A very sensitive girl who wants to do her best so her family wouldn't worry about her. But due to the Family Secret, she has a huge target on her back and has to be on constant watch as she hasn't made much progress with her training to ward off the enemy and rival families.

It's later revealed she has an alternate personality that has more control of her powers. But considering her history with the family, her appearance makes everyone defensive even if her goals are to protect Tomoko and her family.

Design Notes: Her purple streak is her natural hair, but the change in color is due to an event she doesn't recall and her sisters refuse to answer about.

Her hairclips represents her two friends from middle school who she keeps in contact with. Her locket is the symbol of the one chosen to be the next Family Head and was given to her by their late mother. She has an idea on the truth of the locket, but only her sisters know the full truth to protect her.

Kiku

The Youngest Sister. She controls lightning and has abilities similar to that of rabbits including speed and high jumps.

A bit of a troublemaker but mostly because her family had put more focus on her sisters and their roles while wanting her to live a more normal life, something she doesn't take too kindly. She's not fond of the roles her family was given so she always does her best to prove herself so her sisters wouldn't have to carry the burden.

She often takes out her frustration in video games which led her to be one of the Top Gamers under the alias RapidRabbit. Her sisters tend to cheer for her but do screen the games she plays out of worry due to her age.

Design Notes: She has a lot of rabbit hairclips that she switches between. Those she treasures and wears the most are the ones she bought from Kyoto while visiting family or gifted to her.

She wears a lot of off-shoulder tops but can also lean into gyaru fashion sometimes. Though not often due to her family's status so she finds more appropriate options or else she'd get an earful from her grandparents. She does opt for loungewear to stay comfortable while gaming.

My personal Ranking of all Sailor Moon Actresses in Sera Myu

Disclaimer: This is only my opinion. What I would also like to say is that my opinion can of course change. This ranking looked a little different recently and a lot can change when I watch the musicals again and think about everything again.

I will not rank Sailor Moon from The Super Live Kanae Yumemiya, Natsuki Koga, Tomomi Kasai. Unfortunately, The Super Live was never recorded except for a few clips or cell phone recordings. The same goes for the show that took place at the Sailor Moon themed cafe Shinning Moon Tokyo. I will not rank Yui Yokohama from The Super Live 2025 as she has not appeared yet.

I will try to keep it short. (I'm not good to keep short…)

12th Place:

Satsuki Sugawara (Nogizaka46 Version 2024 Team Star)

She is a member of the 5th generation of Nogizaka46 since 2022 like all Sailor Guardians in the Version. I don't see the Usagi spirit in her. She reminds me more of Ami. I think Aruno (Sailor Mercury) would have been better suited than Usagi. Satsuki can undoubtedly sing and dance well. In my opinion, she doesn't have such good chemistry with Tenju (Tuxedo Mask) either (but that could also be because both Tuxedo and all Shitennou are very overacting in my opinion, they are all former Takazuka.)

11th place:

Hotaru Nomoto (2016 - 2017)

Hotaru appears in Amour Eternal & Le Mouvement Final. She is the second Nelke Moon and the successor of Satomi. In my opinion, she looks very similar to Usagi. Her singing is good but sometimes a little unstable. She sometimes smiles in situations where it shouldn't actually happen. She has been seen in other productions since the Sailor Moon musicals and has improved a lot. Another problem is that she doesn't have any real chemistry with Yuga (Tuxedo Mask). But Satomi already had that problem. I don't know if the intention was to portray the relationship like in the 90s anime. But it could also be due to the big age difference (the two have the biggest age difference between Usagi and Mamoru actors ever, almost 20 years) and the difference in experience. Yuga is a former Takazuka and also overacts a little. Actually, that bothers me a lot less with her than with NogiMyu 2024.

10th place:

Shiori Kubo (Nogizaka46 Team 2019)

It hurts my soul to put Shiori here. I had considered putting her in 9th place. I know a lot of people don't like her but I have a lot of heart for her and for the 2019 version. Many people ask why a third version was made at all (well, you can also ask yourself why there is a 2024 version). The 2019 version does a lot of things right. In my eyes, Shiori is a good Moon. Yes, she overacts a bit, which isn't really necessary since she is supposed to be very similar to Usagi. Unfortunately, her pitch doesn't suit Usagi very well since she has a relatively deep voice. But she can definitely sing and dance. This was proven, for example, in the Nogizaka selfproduction musical "Zambi" where she plays one of the main characters "Maya". She tries to sing in a higher pitch, which unfortunately led to her squeaking. I think she has good chemistry with Mikako (Tuxedo Mask) even though Mikako is almost 12 years older than Shiori.

9th place:

Riko Tanaka (2021 - 2022)

Riko appears as Sailor Moon in Kaguya-hime no Koibito and & Festival Chronicle. It's difficult to rate Riko because the two musicals in which she appears don't offer much. In KaguyaMyu, Luna is the protagonist and the others fade into the background. In Festival Chronicle there are a lot of songs and unfortunately the story wasn't developed very much. The little that you see of her is that she isn't the typical Usagi. She's more of the strong Usagi who argues. There's also not much to say about Usagi and Mamoru's relationship because there are hardly any Usagi/Mamoru moments. (In general, the new musicals don't offer much in this regard, there are hardly any love songs either.) But what I can definitely say is that Riko can sing very well and I would have liked to have seen her in more Sailor Moon musicals. That goes for the whole cast. (As I write this I'm considering swapping Riko's & Shiori's places.)

8th place:

Marina Kuroki (2001 - 2005)

The first Bandai Moon on the list. I know Marina is very popular and I can understand why a lot of people like her. She is one of the most talented actresses in Sera Myu. She can sing and dance incredibly well. I just have one big problem with her. She overacts a lot. Sometimes she's very, very exaggerated. I don't want to blame her for that. You have to remember that she was only 12 when she got the role. It could also be because of the script that she was told to exaggerate so much. She has very good chemistry with her three Tuxedo Mask actors, especially with Kenji, even though he was a bit older. With the other two, less so. That could be because of the script and maybe something because of the age difference. Sometimes there is no chemistry between two people.

7th place:

Sayuri Inoue (Nogizaka46 Version 2018 Team Star)

Sayuri was a member of Nogizaka's first generation. I know that's an unpopular opinion but whatever. Sayuri is a good Moon. She can sing amazingly and her voice suits Usagi. (She is probably the main reason, along with Minami (Sailor Jupiter), why most people like Team Star better. I would say the other members are OK but not over the top.) She is the sweet, friendly Usagi but I don't really find the Usagi spirit in her. I can't really explain it well. In my opinion, she doesn't have that much chemistry with Mikako either. It could also be because Sayuri is a very shy person.

6th place:

Nagi Inoue (Nogizaka46 Version 2024 Team Moon)

Nagi and Sayuri have the same last name but not related. They never met at Nogizaka either. When Nagi became part of Nogizaka along with other members of the 5th generation, Sayuri hadn't been a member for almost 2 years. Nagi is great as Usagi. You see her, you hear her and you know that she is Usagi. you don't really notice that this is her first musical performance. I have the feeling that Team Moon has very good chemistry with each other and forms a real unit, but also with the other members of the fifth generation. Especially when you watch the curtain call. I also think that Nagi can deal with Tenju's overacting better than Satsuki. In my opinion, the two have much stronger chemistry (which you can see in the curtain call, I think that Nagi kissed Tenju and then Tenju kissed her).

5th place:

"ANZA" Anza Ooyama (1993 - 1998)

Anza was the first and longest Sailor Moon actresses of all time. I have to say that I haven't seen all the musicals with her. That's why my opinion of her can change quickly. Anza is not the typical Usagi, she has her own character and for many she is still one of the best, if not the best, Moon actress. That's why some will say how can I put her in fifth place? She can sing very well and is still very much behind Sera Myu. She also has very good chemistry with Yuuta Mochizuki. Many would probably say they are the best Usagi Mamoru couple. (For me it's only good enough for second place, but whatever)

4th place:

Fumina Hara (1998 - 1999)

Fumina is the second Moon ever. Apparently she got a lot of hate back then. Which I can't understand. But I think that would have happened to anyone who came after Anza. She is a more quiet Usagi and less hyper. Her voice may not suit Usagi 100% but it is unmistakable and beautiful. She has the fewest musicals of the Bandai Moons, which I think is a shame. She deserved so much more and I would have liked to have seen her for longer. (Maybe it's because Kaguya Shima Densetsu is one of my favorite Bandai musicals…) Her chemistry with her second Tuxedo Mask (who is also very underrated…) is incredibly beautiful. It may also be because of the script. Since Kaguya Shima Densetsu transforms into the Sailor Guardians for the little time we see, we get to see a lot more of the civil relationship between the two.

The winners’ podium begins: Third place and the bronze medal goes to:

Satomi Okubo (2013 - 2015)

She was the second Moon I've seen in the musicals. She is Usagi as written in the manga. Her voice may not be in the best range for singing, but that doesn't bother me. She is the happy, over-excited Usagi, but she can also be the strong and brave Usagi. When she's on stage, you know she's Usagi. I was very sad when I noticed that all the Inner Senshi were replaced after Un Nouveau Voyage (there is no official explanation for this…). I would have liked to have seen her as Moon in Amour Eternal & in Le Mouvement Final. It was a nice moment to see her as Sailor Cosmos and as a guest in Festival Chronicle. I don't know why, but I like her better than Hotaru with Yuga. I can't really put my finger on it, although the problem was there. It could be the ball game scene, the Silver Millennium scene, the Crystal Palace scene, or the scene where Haruka approaches Usagi.

Silver medal (how appropriate):

Mizuki Yamashita (Nogizaka46 Version 2018 Team Moon)

she was a member of the third generation of Nogizaka until 2024. I know only a few will share this opinion. But in my eyes she is the best New Myu Moon and the best Nogizaka Moon. I don't even know where to start explaining why I like her. Well first of all I think she looks a lot like Usagi. Her voice fits Usagi perfectly, she could dub her. I know a lot of people say her singing isn't that good but she sings in a slightly higher pitch than usual. You can hear that when you listen to her speech in the curtain call. She also appeared in "Zambi" as the anxious "Anna". So this wasn't her first stage. In my opinion she has a natural talent for acting. She is now a professional actress.  As an example, she is shown in the film "Loving Yamada at Lv999! Akane Kinoshita plays the female protagonist. Her serious face is her normal facial expression and should not be criticized. Her gestures and facial expressions are always perfect. She is also a Sailor Moon fan and uses Usagi catch phrase in her normal vocabulary. Her name Mizuki also means beautiful moon. Her Nogizaka nickname was Zukki, which sounds very similar to the Japanese word for moon, Tsuki. That's why the pun with the catch phrase works for her. But in my opinion her greatest strength is her incredibly good chemistry with Mikako, who is a Sailor Moon fan just like her. The age difference is not noticeable at all. These small, subtle things make the two of them my favorite Usagi Mamoru couple. (Mikako really kissed Mizuki, okay, well, Sayuri too). I'll say it straight away, my favorite Nogizaka musical version is Team Moon 2018 for many reasons. Mizuki played a big part in that.  Before you think I'm a mizuki fan, I didn't know the band Nogizaka46 until this musical.

(I think it's clear at this point that I'm not good at keeping things brief…)

Miyuki Kanbe (2000 - 2001 🕊)

She was my first Moon. What can I say? She didn't play Usagi, she is/was Usagi. There is no other way to describe her. She was perfect. It's such a shame that she wasn't there longer and that she's no longer with us. But the Dracul Arc belongs to her and she lives on in the hearts of the fans.

Koji Hinata - Ultimate Gamer

Though it seemed for ages like Chiaki really was gone for good, with the help of Kazuichi and Alter Ego, she was able to be brought back- restored, though stuck fully digital. And she and Hajime were able to be happy.

Koji is an AI created by her years ago to serve as Hajime’s and her child. Though usually quiet and cynical, he loves his parents more than anything in the world and is a whiz at video games.

Now, with an artificial body, Koji was selected to attend Hope’s Peak as the Ultimate Gamer, just like his mom…

…and, having already been forced to participate in a killing game at a young age, Koji wants nothing more than to go back home to his mom and dad.

Hotaru “Angel Boy” Tanaka, the Black Dragon of Tartarus - Ultimate Poet

Sonia and Gundham struggled for ages to conceive, though they wanted a child more than anything in the world. But they stayed hopeful. When Makoto found an infant orphaned by the Tragedy, he suggested the pair take him in- and thus, Hotaru is their “angel boy”, their gifts from the heavens.

Hotaru is just as odd and proud as his father, though he’s much more smooth and charming. He has an interest in all things strange and unusual, and truly cares about those around him.

Natsuki Kuzuryu - Ultimate Sportsman

Natsuki is really bummed that he didn’t get chosen as an Ultimate Swordsman, but he supposes this will have to do.

Though he often comes across as cruel and detached, Natsuki is fiercely loyal to the other Jabberwock Island kids, and won’t let any harm come to his little sister Fumiko or his best friend Aika.

Kiko Naegi - Ultimate Lucky Student

Though she’s never gotten along with him, Kiko takes great pride in the accomplishments of her father and will fiercely defend him against anyone who tries to slander him or his attempts at restoring Hope’s Peak.

She ends up taking lead the most, though she at first clearly has a disdain for the other participants…especially the kids who grew up on Jabberwock Island. She’s extremely annoyed by Honda’s constant emphatic support, but she does grow to care a lot about him.

Fumiko Kuzuryu - Ultimate Negotiator

Fumiko was always a daddy’s girl- and as she grew older, she retained that same innocent physique that her father once had. Fumiko, though, takes great pride in this, as it thoroughly assists her endeavors to manipulate those around her.

Fumiko puts on a very sadistic, uncaring persona, but she’s deeply loyal to her friends and especially her brother, comforting him greatly when Aika dies. She’s the participant who most frequently performs the autopsies.

Aika Mioda-Soda - Ultimate Mechanic

Aika has the combined passion and enthusiasm of both of her parents- and is proud to be following in her dad’s footsteps as the Ultimate Mechanic. Though she causes a lot of trouble- frequently pulling pranks on other participants- she’s desperate to at least build camaraderie between everyone and stop the killing before it happens. How tragic it is, then, when she accidentally becomes blackened herself- executed by one of the machines that her dad built so long ago.

Honda Hagakure - Ultimate Salesman

Honda’s older brother told him that his time at Hope’s peak would be full of great riches, great fortune, and great romance- and he’s right a third of the time, so one of them is bound to happen, right?

Honda is very frightened of this killing game- knowing he’s unable to kill anybody and is an easy target, making his chances of escape slim to none- but when he’s not struggling to withhold panic, he’s usually following Kiko around, who he thinks is a brilliant leader and the smartest person here. (He may or may not have a very obvious crush on her).

Though he can be a bit of an idiot, Honda genuinely wants everything to be okay and is more than willing to make sacrifices for those he cares about.

He’s a bit of a kleptomaniac, with a briefcase full of completely useless trinkets he stole from his peers.

Thank you for your patience! I have finished making the match-ups for Round 1 which will be under the cut. A little information first.

Round 1 will be posted between Friday, January 19th and Thursday, January 25th. It will be split between 4 sets, each set being posted on a different day. There will be a total of 128 participants (32 participants in each individual set) divided in 64 polls (16 polls in each individual set). By the end of Round 1, 64 participants will make it to Round 2 while the rest will be sent to the Shadow Realm where their souls will be tormented for eternity. All polls will be queued between 12 PM EST and 1 PM EST of the day it has been assigned. Each poll will last a week.
