1) It's weird that anime and DR Development Plan states that Peko no longer works for the Kuzuryus. It's interesting...

2) I really like the DRS conversation where Peko only knows one way to stay close to Fuyuhiko and it makes her look autistic

3) I cry to myself every time I think about how the SDR2 survivors saw glitches of their friends at the end of ch5 (I think it's implied it's how they saw their friends). And Peko is super sweet and gentle🥺

If you could pick one character who died in the first two Dangang games to survive them, who would you choose and why?

Strongly, Kiyotaka Ishimaru. Even though every character does end up “waking up” from the second game, I took them into account- but it’s still Taka.

I love that boy, I think it’s unfair that he lost his…bro? Best friend? Very homoerotic friendship?- and then died the next chapter after having such a big reaction to it. It would have been cool to see Taka come to terms with that I think

Punctuating Dialogue

An AU where technically nothing’s changed, except everyone knows Tsumugi is the mastermind, and that they’re trapped in a show: but not only they’re still helpless against her and cannot escape (neither can Tsumugi herself) - they also have to deal with her contractualy obligated sponsorship announcements during trials and investigations… including 30-second-long unskipabble ads before the monitor presents voting results and the blackened.

What dignity? What respect? Everything is a commercialised farce, and everyone, including Tsumugi, is perpetually oscillating between exasperated apathy and resigned frenzy.

Their sanity is doing fine, they tell themselves.

I think people misunderstand what some of us dislike about the ending of Danganronpa V3.

At least for me, there are two key points that I dislike:

1. The way that, intentional or not, the game villainizes YOU for enjoying the franchise.

The way the game portrays it does not, to me, come across like it is just villainizing the folks in the “real world” of V3. It really does act like YOU are the villain for enjoying this fictional killing game. It feels like a middle finger from the writers to the people who really love the series they created.

2. The way it retcons the other two games into being in-universe games.

“V3 is an alternate universe” aside, I don’t like that it decided to make THH, GD, UDG- everything- fictional games. That also feels like a slap in the face, at least to me. I think something similar could be accomplished just by having this take place years and years and years after those games.

This is coming from someone who does very much enjoy Danganronpa V3, trials and all. I am very critical of it, but I genuinely think that so much of it is genuinely fantastic. Which is why chapter six as a whole bums me out so much :(
