Mario Kart: Double Dash on GameCube is the one I played the most so it's the one I pictured lmao. Daisy's my fave character to use! So I bequeathed that to Jacqueline! Same with Toadette who is usually my second if Daisy gets yoinked (which does not happen often as my mom always plays as Toadette lol)

Dw tho! Jack will get his vengeance in the Double Dash Battle Bomb stage. He'll destroy Jacqueline! >:D!

It was ORIGINALLY just going to be panel 4! My idea was "Jacqueline enjoying an end of year/christmas snowfall" but then. My brain went, omg, she's waiting at the window, THE WINDOW Dani. What if. What if we did a comparison. From when she was little and waiting and Jack didn't come to like, now, and Jack DOES come?? WHAT IF. WHAT IF WE ADDED LIKE, A BIT WHERE THE PARENTS BRING HER SLEEPING BUTT TO BED. BC SHE FELL ASLEEP WAITING FOR HIM. BECAUSE HE NEVER CAME. AND THEN. JACK ARRIVING 1400 YEARS LATER. WHAT IF. DANI WHAT IF

And I went, "Dani! That's insane. Let's do it."

ANYWAY. JACQUELINE'S PANTS ARE NEXT ON MY LIST

I was trying to recreate the effect I did on the FIRST bb Jacqueline in this ol thang!

I'd used one of my metallic markers (thicc boy not the new ones I think) that sometimes has too much ink on it to drop a blob and then spread it to get the effect

but I couldn't fucking remember what I used to spread it. White pencil crayon? The blenders? Metallic white-thin tip? Brush tip?

This is bc I did that first Jacqueline LAST THURSDAY and the fourth Jacqueline THIS past Thursday or Wednesday, I believe

In the end I ended up grabbing the metallic blue pencil crayon and using that as the base, then whooshing over it with the white brush tip and THEN using the blender/v light blue watercolour marker.

(Cursed the powers that be that I didn't think of it sooner! lmao)

the pants are supposed to be the same ones from the fit she wore as a bb bc that's what she got stabbed in and B-Man fixed em up for her and they grew with her and SYMBOLISM or something

They were her favourite jammies and still are lol

her sweater is based on yet another Dani sweater! idk man. she steals my clothes, I buy clothes because of her, we are a functioning ecosystem

But if you SQUINT, DESPITE ME UPPING THE CONTRAST AND SATURATION AS PER THE USUAL (my scanner always dulls the colours), I THINK YOU CAN F A I N T L Y SEE IT!

Scrimbly Jacqueline 49/52: T-Posing to assert your dominance is definitely NOT how Jacqueline was envisioning taking down the Clifton Society.

Charlie heard the metal clicks again as something came shooting down from the opposite side of the room. He lunged, covering Jacqueline’s back as the strips came flying towards him. They hit his chest. He let out a whoosh of air from the impact, watching as they fell to the ground with a clatter. Surprised, Charlie pat his entire torso. "They don't work on me?" Two more hit his forearms, promptly falling to the ground. He shoved back his sleeves as best as he could. No shiny marks. “Oh!” Throwing his weight, he shoved Jacqueline to the side, switching places with her. “Charlie, don’t—” “It’s cool! They don’t work on me!” He stuck his arm out for emphasis, another one of the strips bouncing right off him. Jacqueline looked surprised. “Well, shit! That's handy." Colin sneered, the baton tip tap tapping several more spots around him. “You can’t hide behind your human friend forever!”  The pair of Legates heard the metal clanking fill the room as Lady knows WHAT armed all around them. Trying to make himself as big as possible, Charlie stood in front of Jacqueline, arms wide. "Yes she can!" Behind him, Jacqueline looked perplexed. She rolled her eyes with a huff, moving closer to Charlie. “We literally do not have time for this. Hang tight, Charles." And before Charlie could even form a reply, he felt himself be yanked down, snow blasting all around them as they fell towards the couch.

[Husbando and I are going on an evening adventure to check out the geminid meteor shower outside of the city, so I'll probably get to posting it Saturday depending on how late we stay out--and if we can see anything given we're going in and out of cloud cover around here today! Charlie LOOKED good in the sketch, but somehow the hair ended up "late 00s, early 2010s hat hair boy" and I am. Unamused. I've drawn WAY better Charlies, UGH. Gonna have to rewatch the movies, I guess 🤷🏻‍♀️ oh nooooooooooooo 😼

I didn't get around to moving December to the very bottom of the fridge but also, I did MULTI PANEL SCRIMBLES so there's a good chance they wouldn't have fit well at ALL.

Anyway this is the most fun, FUNNEST EVEN, thing I have EVER done I would STRONGLY recommend doodling on scrap pieces of paper and putting your own art on your own fridge. This thing has brought me COUNTLESS moments of joy throughout the year, y'all don't even KNOW

This nearly became Sorceress-Warlock Jacqueline from THIS AU. Didn't feel like drawing that fit tho so it's just regular canon Jacqueline, lol. (but picturing the scars and the eye patch she doesn't actually need but wears for the aesthetic was a FUN mental image at the beginning of the week! then the horrors persisted and I went WHO HAS THE SPOONS. NOT ME)

Drawing the whooshy cloak was fun. Colouring it was even MORE fun. I was going CRAZY last night trying to find a post I made where I described Jacqueline's staff?? I COULDN'T FUCKING FIND IT AND I S2G I READ IT THE OTHER DAY. LIKE EARLIER THIS WEEK. So hopefully my visual memory served me WELL and I don't find the post and go FUCKING EH at a later date, lol.

All four Frosts would pass the warlock test--the question is, do they fully embrace it? Fino does. Fiera does but like, second to the summer sprite training. Jack learns what's useful/what he wants/needs to. Jacqueline was FINE not warlocking, she's good with the snow, BUT Jack keeps nagging her to at LEAST take the test and when she passes it he's like c'mon. c'mon. warlock training. you know you want tooo I could teach youuuuu

She holds off for a VERY long time then gets schemey brain a couple of centuries down the line and goes for it. It's spoilery and I do want to keep this one close to my chest, BUT:

Essentially she learns that she has something someone needs/wants back and she can only do that by getting into the Warlock training! She uses this to try and bring two estranged people closer and when it doesn't go well she hits Jack up after hours and is like "so my plan is going. hmm. bad. let's start warlock training?" and Jack's like YEAH LET'S FUCKING GOOOO bc A) he told her so. B) he;s been wanting to get her started with the warlock biz for YEARS! AND out of ALL THE TEACHERS SHE'S COMING TO HIM (well. unofficially) and C) he is also enjoying the tea from her little scheme and about the two people in question, lol.

Look I drew a thing

It’s my OC Jacqueline Frost, from my the Santa Clause FanFics, Crystal Springs and Dark Shadows and basically everything I write for that universe. Anyway, she normally wears her “formal” outfit, for Legate Summits, Council Meetings, and general day to day life. When she’s on duty or just wants to be cozy, she wears this little number. It’s currently a WIP and I’ve gotta fix dem hands and dat knee and dem legs still, but yeah, I was really proud of it since I’ve had soo many issues drawing as of late. It made me really happy that I was able to doodle Jacqueline, aside from Claire, she’s my fave OC :3

Frost Manor: Floor Plans

Got asked for Frost Manor floor plans and I uh. I went a little crazy...

Apologies for the quality--got too excited to ink em and wanted to share ASAP! I'll add on the inked versions At Some Point. Info and select close ups below the cut!

First/Ground Floor

It's a pretty straightforward floor!

Has LOTS of space because I have no concept of scale lmao

Let's go TOP DOWN, starting with: The Kitchen

It is Blaise's pride and joy. Fave room in the house. That's why it's so BIG i.e., LONG. He is also the primary cook so when they were building the house, Winter was like "ah yes. for all matters on the kitchen please defer to Blaise"

It has a WEIRD WALL that, as you can see, kept giving me HELL. But it is there and exists and makes a fun little nook which is where the kitchen table is and the entrance to the Den

the Den entrance is CLOSER to the table. Plz ignore the one over the blue parlour lol, I had. A STRUGGLE

That weird hallway is just inner wall for the chimney/fireplace shit to hide

Frost Manor has a LOT of fireplaces. I included the ones I know of for SURE but I believe there is also one in: The Den, the dining Room, every single parlour room there, and MAYBE the ballroom.

I did a CLOSE UP with MORE DEETS of the KITCHEN FOR Y'ALL:

Idk what goes on that slashy bit? Could be tall cupboards. Could be a broom closet. May actually be the dishwasher now that I think about it which, yes, they have one, Winter just doesn't pay much mind to it 🤭🤭🤭

The "desk corner" is like, a separate shelf that I believe is called a chef's shelf/pantry? Looks like this. We had one when I was little and it was iron and looked similar to this and I picture the one at Frost Manor to look like the one my parents had! but like longer lol and less full of paper

The Three Parlours: top one is the blue one where winter chats with the other seasons via crystal ball; middle one is ????? lord only knows, but I think it's yellow, and the one at the front is the front room aka, the room where Jacqueline waited. Like in this scrimbly >:)

That about covers it for the Ground floor! I shall end this blurb with a CLOSE UP of the FRONT PORCH and BACK DECK

Second Floor

This floor. Is the goddamn twilight zone. Here is why

Blinter's Room is top right (our left), far back of the house. It does not have windows on the bottom half of the room. And yet. I keep picturing windows down there and perhaps, Balcony Doors. And keep doing that like, unconsciously. Like in this close up of their room:

See how it says balcony there??? Yeah. WHY DOES THIS KEEP HAPPENING.

The OTHER twilight zone esque thing is the TWINS'S ROOMS

It also has windows. I have written about those windows. But for some odd reason lately. I have gotten the vibe. That their rooms are NOT right up against the wall, but in the MIDDLE. And that there is a whole ass second hallway with guest rooms that magically come and go as needed.

Oh my god.

And THEN. I also get the vibe that the SPARE ROOMS are NOT behind the twins's rooms, but BESIDE IT?? Which lead me to THREE (3) POTENTIAL LAYOUTS FOR THE SECOND FLOOR:

And looking at this I think I fucked up option B, lol, bc it should be the one with the LONG Fino and Fiera rooms like in the main floor.

Suffice to say, this manor is 5000 years old at LEAST and I feel as though Blaise has shifted rooms a BUNCH and TONS of reno has happened so. Maybe the second floor just IS twilight zone-y, IDK

BUT! I think that Fino and Fiera's rooms are DEFFS windowed, so it's most likely the long one, and Blinter's room is at the back corner of the house so the floor plans with that one are ACCURATE

The very bottom one is how I originally pictured the second floor, lol, but I feel as though the gallery wasn't always the gallery! I think Blinter also had a separate sitting room originally and it was the gallery but like, that's HUGE.

And I need you all to know that the rooms. Are tight and cozy bc they are filled with STUFF and THINGS. Even the GALLERY has seating in it! AHHHHH

but yeah. Second floor is an enigma. Idk.

Fun second floor fact: Were Pyros to get a redemption arc (👀👀) his room would be on that floor >:)

Third Floor

aka, cold front palace/flats!

This one gave me the LEAST amount of problems. Well, almost.

Jack's suite was a PROBLEM bc I kept picturing his bed like. In the middle of the room with no walls like a PSYCHOPATH and based on the convo he has with Jacqueline in Chapter uh. 19? 18? 17? JUST BEFORE MARKET DAY!! The door to his sitting room is on an angle?

AND THEN his convo with Fino in Chapter 23? 22? When he teleports into his room? It sounds like the door is like. In the middle of his room. Into the HALLWAY. And I didn't GIVE THEM hallway doors it's a SUITE LOOKING THING, IDK

SO YEAH

The third floor also has attic access and the attic is v small and mostly storage--probz like an antique market all up in there

The apothecary with that lady you like—" "NO! Absolutely NOT. We will not be going there. God. Every time I go in there I leave absolutely mortified, and that's assuming I don't faint again." Jacqueline snorted, a hand quickly coming up and covering her mouth as Mel whipped around and glared, thunder rumbling in the distance. "Sorry, sorry! I just...AGAIN?!" "Well at least I am AWARE enough of my crush to faint about it." Jacqueline's shoulders fell as she hissed through clenched teeth. "Ouch. You cut deep, Mel. You cut real deep. It's cool though! I get it. Getting you to Lizzy to use your charm and good looks to score us some men-who-write-their-sevens-weird-ending poisons and then some is not plan A or B." "Or C or D and perhaps not even Z. Really? That was your plan?!" Jacqueline shrugged. "It was like, last ditch plan. I mean, the alternative is to wait but the longer we wait, the longer weird sevens guy is hitting up Luce and that simply won't do." "Absolutely not at all. God. Have you seen them? How he writes his sevens?" "YES! Jack showed me. It's so freaking WEIRD!" "Right? We simply cannot let this go on, I'm afraid. Hmm." Mel tapped her chin. "What to do, what to do..." "Okay. I've got one more idea," Jacqueline said, watching as Mel paced back and forth in a small circle, her skirt dripping a bit. Her brow was furrowed; she tapped her chin as she paced. "But I think you will like it even less." Mel stopped pacing. "Oh?" "Let's go see Chimera." Mel blanched. "Oh dear god. You want to go do what?!" "See Chimera! I mean, look, Mel. She's the poisons guy, right? You wanna get rid of someone, she's your go to." "You want me to go to someone objectively hotter than any other aforementioned apothecary to get the things we need to take care of this creep?" "She is pretty damn hot. I'd say like, top hottest magibeans for sure." "And what, you want to go and just knock on her door? Stop in for tea, a chat, and leave with a goodie bag of potions and poisons?" "Yes?" "No. Nope! OKAY! Focusing." She took a deep breath in and squished her cheeks, taking a moment to compose herself. "Hear me out, Mel. What if we just...break and enter?" Mel looked visibly relieved. "Yes, yes. That I can do. I'll go fetch my harpoon and—" "Oh, no need! I think we can handle it sans harpoons." Winking, Jacqueline raised a glowing hand, wiggling her fingers. A conniving little smile spread across Mel's face as she lifted her own glowing hand in agreement, the pair of magibeans cackling into the night as they poofed, disappearing on the spot.

Moments later, the pair of them stepped right over the walls with a snowy and watery assist. They landed on what looked to be plant free ground, the water pooling back into Mel's skirt as Jacqueline waved the snow onto hers, freezing it in place with a very brief clenched fist. Grinning, the pair high fived one another, sticking close as they wandered down the path. The deadly plants were gorgeous. Some of them stretched high above the pair, towering over the leafy poisonous plants. Poison ivy and oak twirled together, stinging nettle abound. The paths and gardens stretched on, beautiful deadly flowers dotting the greenery with blues and yellows and reds, some plants growing fruits and berry looking things that were, quite obviously, very poisonous. "Whoa." "Watch the nettle, Jacqueline." Jacqueline stepped back, keeping even closer to Mel. "Right, right. That's one of the little stingy bitches." "Quite stingy, actually. Now, let's see. Where did I put that list..." Mel patted herself up and down, reaching into her watery sleeves and letting out a little "A-ha!" as she pulled a slightly damp rolled up list out of the left one, unfurling it quickly with a deft flick of her wrist. "Right. Here's what we need to—" Mel looked up, finding herself face first in icicles and crunchy hair. "Jacqueline! A little warning next time you come to a dead stop—" "Uh..." Poking around Jacqueline's shoulder, Mel blanched. In front of them stood Chimera herself. She looked down at them (Blimey, she's tall, Mel thought), arms crossed, her face unamused. An ear twitched. Behind her, her snake tail poked around her, looking at the two of them in what may have been a perplexed way, or an annoyed way. "Dear lord. She's even hotter in person." "Mel!" "...I said that out loud, didn't I?" "You sure did." Jacqueline cleared her throat. "Hi! Chimera! Uh...fancy seeing you here?" She winced, scratching the back of her head. "Right. Well. I mean, it is your garden so..." She raised an eyebrow, hands moving to her hips. "Well, since Mel's being honest," (Mel herself colouring behind her snowy friend), "I may as well too." And, taking a very long, very deep breath in, Jacqueline launched full speed into the most rambling explanation possible. "So basically Mel and I need to kill a guy. He's been bothering Luce and he writes his sevens weird and she told us to not kill him but he writes his sevens weird, not to mention he's like, a HUGE creep. HUGE! Lucy was all "don't kill him he's just being nice" but Mel and I disagree. So we went hey, what about secret murder! Not as obvious murder? Lucy doesn't need to know, and BOOM! POISON! So off we fucked, but all the local places that have the poisonous shit we need were closed, so I suggested we come see you, but both Mel and I are super intimidated because you're like, one of the hottest magibeans we know of, so we thought it'd be easier to break in? To your garden? Of poisons?" "Is that so?" Mel and Jacqueline (the former still hiding behind the latter) shared a look between each other. A mutual shrug. Jacqueline turned back to Chimera. "Yeah, that about sums it up. He's really very creepy." "A grade-A creep," Mel added. "Who writes his sevens weird." "And basically STALKED the woman!" "So now we need to kill him." Chimera tilted her head. She let the two woman sweat for a bit before grinning. "You had me at kill a guy."

So @lmelodie gave me this idea a HOT MINUTE ago and it ah, it has spiralled. It's one of three, y'all. This one was from LAST WEEK but between a visit home and the World's Slowest Cold, I wasn't able to post it proper until TODAY lmao.

I have also stolen @kscribbs's little guy ONCE AGAIN and she'll be hanging around for this lil trio of scrimbles once more, lol.
