How do you feel about kindness being filmed like they’re performances. Someone hands a homeless person a sandwich, and boom, the cameras rolling. I’m a good person, they say without saying it, but the thing is a sandwich can only last so long, yet you'll be dining on those social media likes all week. Sure,it’s lovely, helping people. But here’s the thing: It’s sad that the world’s become a stage for doing good when you have a camera in your face, or worse in the face of someone struggling to live each day, they are not the supporting actors in your new tiktok. We don’t just help anymore. We sell the moment. Isn't it lovely though getting credit for being decent when your not just doing good. Your doing good for the algorithm.

i think it's very funny that i've seen people headcanon wind to speak spanish or for his hylian to be similar to spanish cause like

i'm chilean, and our spanish is recognized by other spanish speakers as being the worst spanish since we speak with weird unique slang and we have a sing-song accent

like, there's a reason why there's so many memes of our spanish sucking ass lmao

anyway, this is a very convoluted and stupid way for me to say that wind is chilean now, i'm claiming him

been getting a lot of mileage out of a joke my dad taught me when I was a little kid, so here it is:

a man goes ice fishing.

he brings his bucket, and his pole and his drill. drills a hole, sits down and starts fishing.

after a few minutes, the man hears a booming voice. it says "THERE ARE NO FISH UNDER THE ICE"

the man looks all around, and doesn't see anyone. its like the voice came from the sky.

so he shrugs, picks up his shit, moves fifteen feet to the left, drills a new hole, and starts fishing again.

after a few minutes he hears the voice again, just a little angrier "THERE ARE NO FISH UNDER THE ICE"

he looks around, but again, no one is there.

so he shrugs, picks up his shit, moves fifteen more feet to the left, drills a new hole, and starts fishing again.

and again, after only a couple minutes, he hears the voice again, "THERE ARE NO FISH. UNDER. THE ICE."

and he looks around, and he doesn't see anyone, so he turns to the sky and he says, "God, is that you?"

I desperately want to live in the fantasy world that people who go on about “the importance of representing healthy platonic male-male friendship in media” live in. clearly, these people live in a world where gay romances are super common in media, and platonic male friendships are extremely rare. They certainly don’t live in our world, where it feels like the majority of all media centers on platonic friendships between men, or het romances.
