I heard the unfortunate news that Janice Burgess, the creator of Backyardigans passed away recently, which is pretty saddening. I think doing this little cosplay thing was a bit of a tribute to her.

Thank you Janice for creating such an amazingly iconic show loved by many, and you will truly be missed 🩷 🌹

So this one's a doozy, but let me explain...

I was coming up with new episode concepts for the Backyardagains (as one does, obviously),

-when I decided to draw one that stuck out to me.

You know, visualize it to see if it's as good in real life as it is in paper.

What idea was that, you might ask?

I'll let you try to guess first...

If you somehow managed to say a Persona 5 inspired heist episode... you are correct! (Don't lie though, there's no way you guessed that.)

The whole plot was supposed to be about the Fashion Thieves (Uniqua, Tasha, Austin, and the teal little mouse over there, Mina) trying to steal Mr. Suit (Pablo), the CEO of Style Inc. evil plans to destroy anyone's fashion designs that didn't belong to him.

You know, because CEO monopolies are the epitome of evil...

Their main antagonist is Dectective Tyrone who was hired by Mr. Suit to track down the Fashion Theives and arrest them before they can "ruin his business". (Tyrone has no idea about Mr. Suit's evil plans and genuinely thinks the Fashion Theives are evil.)

Did I actually write it? No.

Will I eventually? Maybe.

We'll just have to see...
