My submission for the Sam & Max Halloween contest

I didn't win anything, unfortunately, but I think it looks pretty good

I obviously referenced Noir Sam, but I was also inspired by that 1 line from Max about wearing gowns and using cases to discuss their relationship

My contribution to Pride month with my fav freelance husbands and some (not all, but some) of my favorite gay moments from the franchise

(BTW, I'm aware the engagement ring quote isn't verbatim, but I thought the re-wording worked better with Max's pose and I wanted to keep that)

Out of curiosity, what's your favorite queer moment from the franchise? I know I definitely had a lot more that I just couldn't fit (like Max trying to flashback as to when he started not liking girls)

I actually quite like this, but Sam kneeling gave me hell

(I had to move Max, so now there's some awkward empty space, but I didn't want to warp the drawing by enlarging it too much, so I guess I have to suck it up 🤷‍♀️)

I'm still working on the others, but here's my first draft of my AU version of Raph (aka Ellie). I have some stuff I want to add, but I can do that on the next draft

Still struggling to come up with an AU name and what I want the other turtles to look like (like, IDK if I want them to wear clothes or not and what styles I want them to have if so)

Anyway, Ellie is an Eastern Painted Turtle, is the baby of the family, is autistic, has a really big sweet tooth, loves animals, collects cursed and possessed dolls, and might be a demon or possessed or something, but no one really knows for sure, they just know he could summon Cthulhu for a tea party if he so desired and can lift a bus over his head

I didn't win, which was incredibly sad for me, but I'm immensely proud of this drawing

It took me over a week, some wrist cramps, and I tried to shove as many Sam & Max references as I could in (go for a scavenger hunt if you'd like)

Steve Purcell (Sam & Max's creator) is supposed to replace Jesus, the human characters are dressed as the animals, and the animal characters are in the human roles

This took so long, but I'm actually very proud of it

I have recently been introduced to the old Critters movies by my uncle who lent me his dvd set (technically I told him I enjoyed Gremlins and he shoved the set into my arms 🤣), and I absolutely LOVED the first 3 (the 4th sucked, and I haven't seen Critters Attack as of posting this)

I think the 2nd one was probably my favourite, purely because of the Critter Ball. Everytime it comes out, I cheer and laugh like a mad woman 

It's such a stupid and funny old movie trilogy (I refuse to acknowledge the fourth one 😤) and it's definitely on my yearly October must watch list. I think if you enjoyed Gremlins, you'd definitely enjoy this ridiculous franchise

I'm working on the speedpaint right now, so I'm probably going to post that…eventually…

I've been working on a ref sheet for Shaylyn for a while now, and this is my third try

I also figured I'd try a kind of new art style while I was at it, mostly with the lineart (it’s coloured and (while hard to see) it’s sketchier and less "perfect". I was kind of inspired by Mutant Mayhem's style)

Any thoughts???

Also, I dimmed her pink fur again because the other one was starting to hurt my eyes and was also too bright for her as a character, made her seem too cheery

On Wednesday July 5th of 2023, my dog, Rascal, passed away

He had been sick and struggling for a long time (although he never really showed it), and we learned recently his kidneys were giving him issues and, with no other options besides letting him suffer, we had to put him down 

It’s been really hitting my whole family and I really hard. I know that I keep looking to his favourite napping spots or expecting to see him trailing after my mom, nails clicking on the hardwood and my heart breaks when I don’t see or hear him

We adopted him from the pound when he was 7 back around 2014, and he gave us 9 amazing years

He was a 12 pound dog and yet his absence has made our house feel so empty. Such a small body, but such a huge personality…

He really lived up to his name

I made this in hopes of helping myself process this loss and to remember him

I included some objects that refer to some of my favourite stories of Rascal 

You annoyed the hell out of us Rasc, but we love and miss you so very much

You were a true Heavens

Please, Rest in Peace Bud

I’m so tired, but I’m actually kind of proud of most of it (I feel like I could’ve done better on Sean and Jen)

Anyway, probably one of my fav queer webcomics: “Magical Boy” by @thekao

The art and the writing is great, I love the main characters, the outfit design is amazing, and it hit me right in feels several times

Absolutely worth checking out, I love this webcomic so much

So, I was a bit stumped on what to draw for Pride Month, but I finally decided to draw some fanart for some of my favourite LGBTQ+ webcomics

So, here’s the first ones for @mantimecomic ‘s “Man Time”!

“Man Time” is a short, light hearted, kind of slice-of-life comic revolving around 3 trans men: Omar (character drawn here), Ty, and Jack

I love the art style and, despite how short it is, I think it’s really good

I was introduced to it through Tapas, during a collaboration between “Man Time” and another series I’m planning to draw fanart for this month

I very much encourage you to check this webcomic out!
