Tumblr media
...more like Tanned Elf Tasha!! 😂
For goodness' sake, man! That is NOT! DARK! SKIN!! 🤣 RIP "black pearl beauty" elves, I guess you're only gonna get proper characterization by the fanbase...

So, like, if Alberu is a quarter dark elf and his mother is a half blood, then doesn't that mean his grandmother/grandfather is a human? I wonder whether it was one of the humans that escaped to the city of death. I'm guessing both of his grandparents are dead? Since they were never introduced. And like, his great grandfather is still alive lol.
And like, is Tasha a half blood too? Is she Alberu's mum's younger or older sister? And as far as I understood (spoiler, I think?) Zed kinda implied that she was killed by those hunters or whatever? The more I look into Alberu's family to write a famfic, the more of a complicated mess it is.
Oh, and since he is a quarter dark elf, can he like, form a contract or whatever with elementals? And can he see them like all the other elves? So does that mean if Cale uses that top to communicate with wind elementals, he can see/hear them talking too? And like, I thought Tasha had an elemental, but am I wrong?

First I drew a light version, then I thought about it and made a dark. I took the skin coloring from the manga, but it seems to me that the dark elf really should be darker… But despite this, I really liked her image +_+

Iggwilv’s Horn illustration for Dungeons & Dragons' @dndwizards Quests From The Infinite Staircase.
The hooked peak of Iggwilv’s Horn towers over the rest of the Yatil Mountains.

Hypnovember #1: Warm
Human Resistance Masterlist | Hypnovember Masterlist
tw: apocalypse, mind control, capture
Tasha was freezing her ass off. The snow in the unplowed roads and sidewalks was deep enough to soak her pants up to her knees, and the winter clothes she'd cobbled together weren't enough to block the bitter chill of the wind.
It wasn't a day she would have chosen to go out at all, if she'd had a choice. Particularly, she wouldn't have chosen to go on a highly dangerous run to scrounge gas near alien territory. She couldn't help but long for the days when she could watch a nor'easter from the window of her comfortable warm apartment, curled up in a blanket and playing mindless games on her phone.
No use dwelling on it. Those days were over, and unlikely to come back. The basement where she'd been hiding with a small band of survivors had been frigid since the generator had run out of gas. The five-gallon can she was carrying wasn't much, but it'd let them run the heater for a bit, boil some water to heat up canned food.
Freezing her ass off out here was better than freezing to death in the basement, and if she were lucky, the gas station would still have snacks she could fill her pockets with. That would cheer everyone up.
The wind was blowing harder as she drew closer to the main roads, whipping up the snow and making it more difficult for her to look out for the aliens. She could only hope that the aliens found the weather as unpleasant as she did, and try to ignore her stinging cheeks and numbing toes.
She was standing in the biting wind, trying to make out her surroundings, when a deep sense of warmth suddenly washed over her. The pain of the cold lessened, the wind forgotten, as her mind filled with soft blankets, hot cocoa, and crackling fireplaces. She swayed lightly, the delicious warmth making her so sleepy…
The shock of ice water soaking into the seat of her pants interrupted her fantasies. She'd somehow fallen over into a snowbank, and that had snapped her out of the hallucinations of warmth, enough so that she could recognize they were hallucinations. And invading your mind, showing you visions of things you desired, was one of the ways the aliens lured you.
She scrambled up from the snowbank in a panic, realizing how screwed she was. An alien had spotted her, but she had no way of seeing more than a few feet in front of her in this weather. Humans could often outrun them, but not an exhausted person struggling through several feet of snow.
"God damn it," she muttered under her breath. She'd avoided capture for so long, and now she was going to get caught by those overgrown squid in humiliating fashion, her brain leaking out of her ears as she was turned into one of their mindless workers. She lurched through the snow as quickly as she could on half-numb feet, hoping at least to find a building or other shelter where she might be able to hide and lose her pursuer.
Something thick and heavy shot out of the snow and wrapped around her waist, pulling her off her feet. She couldn't help letting out an undignified yelp and dropping her gas can as she was dragged backwards, straight into the writhing tentacles of one of the aliens. Before she could fully panic, the tentacles were wrapping around her, pressing her close to a strangely soft and comfortable core.
It was warm.
Tasha tried to pull herself free, but the alien's limbs held firm. The warmth overran her spent body, soaking into her aching muscles and drying out her sopping wet clothes, and it was only a matter of minutes before her struggles ceased and she fell limp. It was so warm…
Her eyelids drooped, and she barely noticed the sting at her neck as the alien carried her away.

Giving the OC treatment to the cat woman in all the Tasha art. She is Bobby! A fellow concert goer that started falling for Tasha.
(She/Her for Bobby. She/They for Tasha.)
