"Is everyone alright?" Namgung Su asked. Blood stained his white clothes, and he was panting heavily, as if he had just fought a fierce battle. His usual calm and composed demeanor, however, remained unchanged.

- Chapter 230

While reading this, I suddenly remembered this part from chapter 162:

"Did you just change your clothes?" Baek Suryong asked, clicking his tongue. Namgung Su's pristine white robe was spotless, free from even a single drop of blood or speck of dust, and every strand of his hair was perfectly in place. He must have used movement arts at full speed from the Azure Dragon Academy to the Valley of Evil, yet he still looked immaculate.

- Chapter 162

Damn, Suryong, i think you have the evil eye. Su's clothes are no longer white, clean or pristine.

"I'll go to the new instructors," Namgung Su volunteered, making a beeline toward the new instructors' dorms while his brothers panicked and scurried about like headless chickens.

Wow, imagine having two very useless older brothers. Namgung Su could relate.

Without looking back, Namgung Su replied plainly, "As long as that damned bastard doesn't have any baggage dragging him down, he could fall into hell and still climb back out alive. You should be more worried about your own survival."

Yup, that's Suryong alright. I'm glad that despite not being very close friends, Su has so much trust in him. Suryong will crawl back up from hell, or destroy the heavens and jump down to earth. That's our Suryong. And my dear Su understood this perfectly.

And where the hell are you Suryong??!! We need you! There's a freaking Zombie Apocalypse within the Namgung clan!!

Suryong is basically just collecting his masters artifacts like some kind of treasure hunt, and those artifacts just happens to be in the weirdest of places. Welp, can't wait to see whose is next. And I hope that lover guy is still alive, even if he's old and wrinkled.

These two are like the perfect example of "is somebody gonna match my freak". At first I thought Namgung Su will be a bit more mellow, more of a jelly guy who will sabotage Suryong's plan, but nope. He turned out to be a perfect match for Suryong's freak. Su gets speechless by Suryong's antics, and sometimes, Su's antics leave Suryong confused. (Actually, Su's antics laves me confused too)

They're a perfect match my lord.

Feeling uncomfortable in the awkward silence, Baek Suryong began, " You have a guest here, at least offer me some tea…"

"I have no tea to offer you. State your business and leave," Namgung Su replied, his voice as icy as the room.

- Chapter 114

"State your business and then leave," Namgung Su snapped, but despite his cold words, he personally brewed tea and served it.

- Chapter 207

Love how Namgung Su is warming upto Suryong. The first time they met in the office and the next time they met there, Su was basically snapping at him to leave. But see how in the first chapter Su said to Suryong that there's no tea (and poor Suryong didn't get the message, I didn't know whether to laugh or cry), but now Suryong didn't even have to ask, Su offered him the tea he brewed himself. Like, the development. Though I do find it funny that both times, Su is basically saying the same thing - state your business and leave. Lol.

Su is accepting Suryong as a fellow instructor, and acknowledging his skills. Yay!

A faint smile tugged at the corner of Namgung Su's lips. "…Just kidding, I'll eat it."

…Did Namgung Su just attempt to make a joke? Him? 

Don't worry Suryong, you weren't the only one who was surprised. Our Su is slowly coming around. It's like one of those grumpy cats (i don't own a cat i only know of them from online posts). Su just made a joke, and I loved it! Oh mu god, he's my favorite character, and I just love how much we're getting to know him. He's so cute and cool! Gosh!!!

Baek Suryong couldn't help but notice the barrenness of Namgung Su's office. Although it was mostly buried under mountains of paperwork, the room was bare, with only the most essential furniture, and the chill in the air was more a reflection of the man before him than the lack of heating.

- Chapter 114

"This place is as dreary as ever," Baek Suryong muttered, shaking his head at the sight of Namgung Su's office. The room contained nothing more than the bare essentials, just a few pieces of functional furniture and endless stacks of towering documents. It was far too modest for the office of the academy's most beloved Star Instructor.

- Chapter 207

I love the description of Namgung Su's room. Like, it's still the same. No change, nothing whatsoever. I mean, shouldn't he be a bit more luxurious, being one of the Patriarch's son? Then again, the room does kind of suit his personality. Makes me wonder what he does with all his salary, and the money he gets from his private tutoring. Like, he'll atleast earn 300 coins per month from each student, right?

There's this one fanfic centering around Alberu, it's called something like...silence of the sea? Silent sea? I remember the title having 'silence' and 'sea' ? I don't know, it's been very long since I've read it. But I LOVED LOVED LOVED that fanfic. It's a hurt no comfort, and God, that fanfic inspired me to actually write a scene in one of my fanfic. Like, the original fanfiction is so angsty. And just so heart breaking. The language. The metaphor. I like how the sense of identity was portrayed, because gosh, I've never read something like that. I loved Alberu so much (the author uses Alver, I believe) and just wanted to hug him,my poor baby. I can't explain how it felt while reading it. Like, my senses where overwhelmed, and I couldn't cry, because I didn't want to, but I felt so suffocated. The fic did a deep dive into Alberu's character, and gosh. And then there was Tasha, poor lady got a scare of her life. And in the end, it should've been sad, it was sad. But I couldn't help but feel satisfied when Cale got his karma. There's no romance in this fanfiction, it was rated mature (i think?) not for smut or anything, but like, suicidal thoughts? If anybody ever reads it, they should look through the warnings. It's very sad, dark, and just spiraling thoughts and standing at the edge, and just...I don't know. It had an open ending as far as I remember? Anyway, it's an amazing fanfiction. I don't remember the author's name, but it remains one of my favorite fanfiction centering around Alberu, along with cookie fairy.

Posted this one fanfiction on Wattpad like, 2 or 3 years ago and kind of forgot about it. Now after 2 whole years I get notifications that some ppl liked it, and then they saved it to read it for later, and I'm like, wow, now I have to think of a way to continue that?
